When did you put the bleach in the milk? Was it last night? I didn't do nothing. Okay. What is here? She drank it? She did drink some, yeah. On Saturday, April 19th at around 11:00 a.m. local time, police responded after the victim claimed the suspect had allegedly tried to poison her with Clorox at their Deltona home. If So, how how did it come about that you guys discovered that there's bleach in the milk? She literally drank some of it. She She drank Yes, drank some. Do Do you recall what happened this morning? Something with milk? >> yes, the milk. He put He put the Clorox in the milk. The The milk was in the container. He take the Clorox from the other container and threw it in the milk. I think I think I just had a little bit of it cuz I tasted it. After a police search of the residence, they managed to find the poisoned milk carton. The search also revealed a Clorox bleach bottle in the laundry room. The bottle was positioned in a dusty area with a clear outline, clearly indicating it had been moved recently. For camera purposes, there's an obvious odor of a chemical substance coming from the bleach as well as a bubbling reaction inside of the milk. I'll get a sample and everything, but as you can see, there's an obvious reaction inside the milk. And then, give it a sniff. Give it a whiff. Yeah, that's Yeah. After another deep search of the home, cops finally locate the suspect hiding in his room with his dog. Show me your hands. Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. Shut that Shut that door. >> Let's go. Eduardo Espinal Rameau One is the 17-year-old boy you see here about to be questioned by police for the poisoning of his mother. I just wanted to eat food she has me and then not eating no food. Not taking a shower. I didn't want to come back. I ran away. And she made me come back. So listen, let me ask you this, okay? When When uh when did you put the bleach in the milk? Was it last night? This morning. This morning? Around what time this morning? 8:00. Around 8:00? Okay. So you're mad at her. What was the intent behind putting the bleach in there? What What did you want to do to her? I'm not sure. I wasn't thinking straight. You weren't thinking straight? I mean, did Did you want her to drink it and die? Did you want her to just get sick? Like what? I didn't want her to You didn't want her to die? I just wanted her to leave me alone. So it was just a retaliatory You are under arrest, okay? I'm going to be honest with you. This is a very very serious felony. All right, you're probably You're not coming back here. I don't want to come back here. >> I I get that. And and I I guess maybe that's a good thing for you, but this is uh This is a very serious charge you're facing, okay? And it's it's poisoning. That's a first-degree felony. Okay? Do you have any questions for me? What is going to happen? So, you're probably going to um you're probably going to jail today. I'm going to be honest with you. It It's a very serious felony, so there's a high likelihood that you're going to be going to adult jail. All right? I will let you know as I know more, okay? Just take a breath. Relax. Sit in here. I can't relax. I know. I know. But just try to do your best, okay? I know you're in a very difficult situation. Just try to relax as much as you can, okay? After driving Eduardo to the station, police had a few more questions to ask him, and what he reveals in this next clip shows he didn't expect any of this. I wanted to kind of give you a little break before I ask you a few more questions, okay? So, it as far as the bleach goes, how how much do you think you poured in to the milk container? I don't know. If you had to guess, I mean, it How Okay, well, let me ask you this. How full was the container when you poured it in? It wasn't that full. It wasn't that full? So, did you just dump put was left into the milk? Mhm. Can you kind of walk me through like I guess verbally like what it is that you did exactly? This is um I do with the water. And then there was a two weeks there. After I put that down and then there was another bleach container behind the door. And then I just poured it in and I didn't think much of it. Okay, so you just poured it in and you didn't really think much of how much you were pouring in there or anything? I mean you you understand that what can happen to someone ingesting bleach though, correct? You don't understand? What what is it that you think would have happened if she had ingested that bleach? She would have gotten sick. How sick do you think she would have gotten? I don't know. So pouring bleach in someone's drink like that, that could kill somebody. You understand that? Eduardo, do you understand that pouring bleach into milk can kill somebody? I didn't know that. You didn't know that? No. So you just poured bleach in the milk container hoping that she was going to get sick? Well, she is going to the hospital. She drank it? She did drink some, yeah. Okay, that's why we're here. I mean you're being charged with a very serious felony. Okay, you're being charged with attempted murder. Do you understand that? You do understand? Okay. Do you understand why we're charging you with attempted murder? Yes. You're being charged with attempted murder, and I know you said you understand because you you knowingly poured bleach into the milk container hoping that she would drink it to get sick. All right, bleach can cause death if ingested. Okay. So, hopefully she's going to be okay. She is going to the hospital, like I said. All right. Um I'm going to go ahead and put you in the uh one of the cells here, and I'm going to start typing up the report, and then we're going to take you out to the facility today, okay?
