Obviously, you guys have been drinking, all right? >> I have, yes. >> I look at I look at his hands and I see blood, all right? Now I'm looking at you, I can clearly see there's some markings on it, okay? I got his side of the story, I need you to tell me exactly what happened. All right? What led up to this? Because Casey's the one that called us here. So she obviously heard something going on >> Casey >> that prompted her to call us here, okay? >> Okay. >> So I need you to tell me exactly what happened. >> Okay. >> Casey, how are you? So let's walk over here. >> Okay. >> So I'm Officer Davis. >> Yes. >> Uh obviously, you called us, right? >> Yeah, I did. >> So what what what led you what led you to to call us here today? >> So I was just like in my bed and I hear yelling outside and I hear like just don't touch me. Don't touch me. >> Who And who was saying that? >> Him. He was saying don't touch me. And sorry for cussing. >> No, no, no, you're good, you're good. >> But I'm just trying to tell you. And then the girl, Margaret, I guess, the one, you know, yeah. She was apparently trying to hug him and he got really mad and defensive. >> So she was trying to hug him? >> Yeah, and he didn't like that. And I don't know what happened, but from what I heard I tried to get on recording but the TV was too loud. I think I could have gotten a little bit, but he was drunk obviously. You know that. Like you can just tell. I love my mom and stuff, but it just gets to a point where you're like it's just too much. I feel bad for both of them. The recent historic verdict underscores the consequences of those decisions. Now, Morgan and Morgan is stepping up to hold these platforms accountable for the harm they caused. There was a point where she is not herself. And it's just Don't worry, it's just me and my grandfather. >> Just you and your grandfather? >> No, my wife lives here. That's it. But that Margaret girl, she's over there across the street with the glasses. >> So she put her hands on you, too? >> Yes, she had me in a room uh her legs up in my throat. She had and then Margaret came over and socked me in the jaw. And then I have my I was just Hold on to my wife. >> Margaret is the other female that's here? >> Yes, she was. >> Okay. And who is that other female? >> She I don't know who she is. She's her friend. And whenever she comes around she's always starting [ __ ] >> Okay. What prompted him to So she tried to hug him. Margaret tried to hug >> He came out of the room out of nowhere. >> Okay, but she tried to hug him? >> After he came out of the room out of nowhere. >> So because she tried to hug him, he got upset because of that? >> And before in the past arguments, she has completely given him an embrace of him being upset, which I totally understand. I'm cool with it. But, it's like, "Hey, this is the same person." >> Try to hug him, he got upset, and then what happened? >> And then he was like, "Get the out." >> You told that to Margaret? >> Mhm. And then I said, "Get the out." >> You told him to get out? >> Mhm. >> You told him to get out? >> Hell no, I don't tell him to get out. This is his house. He's grown up here. I'm sorry. >> did you say that to? >> I was like, "All right, let's get the out." >> Okay. >> And I was talking about Margaret. >> Okay. >> That's what ended up happening, and we got into a round where your police car was, and I stopped him. >> Well, when you say you stopped him, what do you How did you stop him? >> I just grabbed him. I said, "Stop." >> Okay. >> And he kept pushing, and I said, "Stop." again. >> So, he was trying to leave, and you were stopping him, preventing him from leaving? >> I was about where the bamboo tree was. >> All right. So, but if you told him to leave, and he was leaving, why did you try to stop him from leaving? >> I wasn't trying to stop him from leaving. I was trying to stop him from going after her. >> Okay, so he was He was trying to get to her. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, you put your hands on him, you tried to stop him, and then what happened? >> And then he grabbed me back. >> How did he grab you? Like, in what What he When you mean grabbed you, what did he do? >> He grabbed me. >> So, he grabbed you by the arms? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> He grabbed me. I fell to the ground. I fell to the ground. >> Okay, so when he So, when he grabbed you, you fell to the ground? >> Yeah. >> All right, which that's why you have those, okay. And then what happened? >> And then I told him stop, and he walked away. >> Okay. >> After a couple of times doing that, but yes. >> At what point did she put her hands on you? >> When was? >> Yes. >> When we came out here, and that woman turned around and started talking to my grandfather, not listening to him. >> Yeah. >> I started getting closer, telling her I was starting to get in the grass, I told her, "You need to leave. My grandpa's asking you to leave, you're not listening yet. >> So my wife puts her hands on me and starts pushing me back and I told her you need to stop doing this. I'm your husband, we're a family, you need to stop listening to other people instead of me. >> Yeah. >> So she keeps pushing me back and that's when we got in a damn tussle and that's when we rolled around and next thing I know I get hit in the jaw and >> Like I said, he said my wife had me on the ground. >> I was standing up wearing a shirt I got called. >> He told me to go inside. >> And I was literally shaking. >> Let me let me take a look at your face, dude. All right. >> Then apparently someone got punched in the jaw. I think he punched her in the jaw twice. But I'm not sure what happened. I didn't get to see, I was just in my bedroom. My room's like right there, the one right next to me. >> But you know that he struck her for a fact? >> I heard I heard like a >> Okay. Has this happened before? >> No, not physically, definitely not. Verbally, yeah, like they argue. >> But you said that they're they're constantly fighting. >> They always fight a lot, yeah. >> This is where I need you to be completely honest because Casey's telling me that she heard him hit you. >> No, she would not hear him hit me. I promise you that. If she heard him hit me, it would be a lot louder and I would call the police myself. >> Okay. So are you are you guys just boyfriend and girlfriend or are you guys married? >> Almost 12 years. We've been engaged since 2019. >> But you guys have been together for 12 years. >> Almost. >> Um so could you please just tell me >> I was on my way home. >> So that was after I saw you. >> It was It was literally wasn't I had no intention on my way home and I ran up with my best friend's daughter. >> Mhm. >> I had no intention. I was on my way home. >> Okay. >> And I ran into them. We've been sitting on the porch for 2 hours. >> Okay. >> We started getting a little too loud. He said go. So I put my shoes on. >> Who told you to go? >> Jason. >> Okay, Jason told you to leave? >> Yes. So, I put my shoes on. You saw me walking barefoot. I like to walk barefoot. I'm a barefoot person. And I said, "Fine, but I need my bag." And also, we did have a moment. And maybe I did try to give him a hug. But like, you broke down to me and you know what I'm going through. And this is ironic cuz I really had every intention to go home. >> So, you tried to hug him and that's what set him off? >> I don't know what set him off. I don't know if it's her or if if that was what it was and then all of a sudden it just boom. It was me getting the bag and me trying to be like, "I'm sorry." and things. And it just >> So, what happened after that? When you when you came outside? So, you grabbed your bag, you were leaving? >> She grabbed my bag. >> Okay, so she grabbed your bag and then what? What did you witness when you were outside here? >> She dropped it to the >> He dropped it to the ground? How? Maybe I need you to explain this to me so that way >> I don't know how to explain it. I don't know how to explain it. He just dropped her to the ground. And I shoved him off. >> Okay, but when you say when you say he he dropped it to the ground, cuz this is what I'm thinking. Somebody tells me >> Um >> he's dropping it to the ground, it could be it could be like a strike, it could be grabbing you by the shoulders and throwing you down. There's several different ways So, that's what he did? >> He dropped her to the ground. And then I shoved him off. Now you guys are here. >> So, you were just pretty much defending her and trying to help her out? >> But she told me to leave and I can't I can't leave and I was heading home. >> I hear All right. Witness what you saw from the beginning as much detail as possible. >> All right. >> Can you walk my path there? >> Yes, sir. Yes, sir. >> Well, I was in here. I was in my bedroom. I'm hearing arguing out in the middle of the night. If I keep coming out here, I'm hearing a lot of talking outside. A lot of loud talking. I asked Jason, I'm wondering what did I what what's going on out there? Taylor's out out there and that woman in the back and you know that other woman that keep coming back cuz I yeah I said uh so they've been out there for quite a while so and I said well it's getting late and uh you know he's telling her to leave and she won't come inside and what not. Taylor sat a few to drink and she wasn't going to stop and she wanted to continue on and he started telling her to get the off my property and everything else and she's not going to and she keeps standing right there. You don't have anything to say but I own the property and I'm ordering you to leave officially. And if the police had come and all that and if you don't want to go I'll press charges against you for trespassing. And then she went up there to the the line off the line just by where the car is and she went over there sitting there and she you're not going any further than that and the main shouting match going on she's shooting him birds and she stayed over there and then Taylor was over here in the grass and then Taylor was getting into it with him. I think at one point I don't know if she slapped him a couple times or not I don't know but he got hit in the face or something and Taylor said so you want to fight okay and she ran after him and jumped him and then had him by the leg and Jason was pushing him to let him go let me go let me go and and pushed her away from him and she went down to the ground and she grabbed him by the leg and grabbed his shirt and was pulling his shirt and I don't think he was pulling his clothes off but Taylor let him go. I was just supposed to break things up and he don't like that. So she kept going and going until he finally broke away. I thought he was getting inside the house now and this is not going to stop so made him come inside the house and those two were over there and I said will you please just take it somewhere else for a while. After that I just think called you and I had him inside. >> I got that. >> Do you have anything If you have anything on you, any type of contraband, if you bring it into the jail it It a felony, okay? >> Mhm. >> You don't have nothing on you? >> No. >> All right, take a seat. >> Oh my god. >> I'll explain it to you in a minute. >> Okay. >> Watch your step. All right. So, in the state of Florida, okay? When we're When we come to these type of calls, what we're looking for is we're looking for who the primary aggressor is, okay? >> Mhm. >> One second. All right. So, when we can't determine who the aggressor is, like in my situation right now, I'm getting your side of the story, I'm getting his side of the story. I'm also getting Margaret's side of the story, but I'm also getting the father's side of the story as well. >> Oh. >> So, I have multiple people telling me that you two were in some sort of a tussle, right? Which means both of you guys got physical with each other. >> Mhm. >> I see the markings on you, >> Mhm. >> which is consistent with what I've been told, but I also see markings on him. And the fact that you two got into a physical altercation with each other, I can't determine who the aggressor is, so both of you guys are going to jail. Okay? All right. >> Taylor Simpson and Jason Washington were both arrested and charged with domestic violence battery after deputies determined that a physical altercation had occurred between the couple.
