On January 31, 2024, West Palm Beach police responded to a suspicious incident involving a woman reportedly carrying her baby in a reckless manner. When officers tried to offer help, she refused and shouted profanities at them. Minutes later, officers spotted the same baby crawling in the street. Everything fine? Yeah. Obviously trying to get my side of Again, someone called 911. They were concerned about the baby. Yes, ma'am. Okay, I'll go. This is ridiculous. I was just with my girlfriend who lives here. Okay. Officer, I kind of figured because I've been trying to get a hold of her for three hours now. And I I got a hold of her probably 30 minutes ago and she said she was on her way home and I asked her, I said, "Are you intoxicated?" She started laughing and joking and saying, "No, I'm not drunk." Same time. Gotcha. Don't [ __ ] around with my child. I'm sorry. I love that woman to death, but that's my child. Mhm. And no, completely understand. I'm dad myself. Do what you need to do with her. I can imagine she was wandering around trying to find her car or whatever it was or someone called because the baby was crawling in the middle of without her. That's the call we got. So, you know, we had a concerned person who came over. She was hysterical because she said she saw your is it girlfriend, wife, whatever she is um carrying the baby like she said like a rag doll is how she described it. And so, she tried to stop and be like, "Do you you know, do you need assistance? do you need help? Blah blah whatever. Then she followed the she tried to go through her garage and then saw the baby out here on by by himself. So that's the call we got. So when we arrived, she was I don't trust any of you. Get away from me. And it wasn't that. No. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. Because No, absolutely not. I mean, I love the woman to death. Bottom line, Charlie, too. Yeah. She's an adult. Three days after the incident, police paid a visit to the father to check on the well-being of both him and the child. What's uh what's your relationship? Is it just my girlfriend? Girlfriend? Yeah. Okay. The mother of my child. I got it. So, they say, "Oh, you know, she's just a mother of my child." No, we're not together. We are together. Yeah, we're together. And how long have you guys been dating? Um, coming on four years. Four years in October and three and a half. And does she have any history of um substance abuse? Not that I know of. I mean, just personal, you know, but nothing on record or anything like that. No. Any mental health issues? Yes. What was to your knowledge? I don't know if I can legally say why not. She's your mother. If you're a child, she's I understand that. I know him. I'm just saying. Um has to do with Epstein kind of somewhat. Epstein. Epstein. Yeah. Oh, okay. And how does how would you describe her as a mother supervising the child? Very good. Very good. I mean, I even give her she even supervises my two children from my past, you know. never had any issues, never had any kind of concerns. And I'm that person that I don't care if you're my mom, you know, I will do what I need to do for my child. Yes, I have no cares about family or any of that when it comes to my children. And you know, this was a very very unfortunate thing and she's taken it serious and like no contact whatsoever. So So what is your understanding of what happened? So, she went to a friend's house and um she was supposed to be having a play date. Well, I assume that she had some drinks obviously um but with the medication that she is on, the anti-depressants and the other medications that she's prescribed obviously it heightens everything um and could not find her car apparently, which I believe she didn't find her car and then the baby apparently was crawling in the middle of the road from what I understand by the cops when I went to go pick him up. Um, and that was obviously the most realist about it. I mean, that's the most concerning thing for sure. What was her uh once you know everything passed, she was released. What was her demeanor? Oh, total guilt, ashamed. She's devastated with herself, wondering if I'm going to leave her and everything. And I said, "Listen, ultimately that depends on you and how serious you take this." Cuz I take it very serious. You know, a child's life was at stake. So, I said, you know, your course of actions is going to what's going to predict the future or anything. It's like at the same time obviously was asking about safe and all that kind of stuff cuz she knows she [ __ ] up. Bottom line, I'm sorry to hers, but she knows big time. And I don't play like that. And how often do mom typically consume alcohol? I would say before I mean she's not supposed to be consuming any alcohol whatsoever ever since she cuz she just got on a new medication regimen so she wasn't supposed to be consuming any at all. Okay. Um and if she did it would maybe be like a beer. It was nothing in excess. Um, but before that, before the new medication regimen or whatever, it'd be just on the weekends. Okay. I know you already said that, you know, you don't play a bunch of kids or anything, but while you've been, you know, with mom, has she ever been, you know, a little too drunk around the child or anything where she's been abusive with the child? No, nothing. Yeah. Nothing that you consider negligent. No, absolutely not. Okay. I wouldn't even gotten to this point if that was The woman was arrested and charged with child neglect without great bodily harm. If convicted, she faced up to 5 years in prison, 5 years of probation, and a $5,000 fine.
