On February 2nd, 2025, police responded to a troubling family situation involving a mother, her children, and a babysitter. What officers encountered quickly escalated into a serious intervention. >> How you doing, L? >> Good, sir. Officer L Police Department. You want to talk to me a minute? Come over my car and talk to me a minute. Okay. You want here talking to you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, what's going on today? >> She started it. >> She started what? calling me a penile telling me I'm touching my [ __ ] kids. >> Okay, >> she does it every time she walks by. >> Okay, >> I'm sick of tired of seeing her come by yelling [ __ ] at me. >> Okay, >> so I I understand that part of it. Okay, but I just got done watching a video, but you took matters in your own hands. >> Yeah, I mean I'm not going to lie. I did. >> Okay, >> let me take me to jail. >> Yeah, >> you you battered her. >> I didn't even touch her. >> You got to play live here. punch her in the face. It's on video. >> I did not. But >> Absolutely. >> Go ask the neighbor. I guess >> I'm going to attach it. I'm going to attach the video with with the report. >> All right. >> You just you just don't start pulling stuff up. Don't start pulling stuff. >> I just want to go get my [ __ ] to my >> Did I tell you you can >> Okay. >> Just let me talk. >> And when I'm done talking, I'll let you allow you to do stuff. Okay. >> All right. >> I want to finish talking to you. >> All right. >> Okay. >> All right. All right. All right. >> Okay. So, from what I watch on the video and from what I watch on the cameras, you and the lady in the green shirt run over to her porch where she is and you punch her in the face, which now she has an injury on her lip. >> I punched it. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Yes. On video. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, I'm going to attach that. Okay. >> Cuz I observed it. >> All right. >> Okay. There's no question about it. I observed it and that's why I'm talking to you right now and that you're going to be under arrest for battery. I wanted to hear your side of it and see what was going on. But >> like I said, you know, so why why you >> This is true. I still have to talk to you, right? >> I guess. Yeah. >> Okay. >> True. >> There's two sides to the story. >> She told me you guys were arguing as she was walking down the street, and that obviously is true, isn't it? >> Yeah. And she kept coming back towards us. >> Okay. >> I'm sick of it. I mean, >> why why is she running down the road yelling that I'm Why what gives her the right to do this every day in front of my kids? Okay. Here here's what you need to do when that's happening. What do you think you need to do? >> Standing right in front of you. Contact us. Right. >> What would you guys do? >> What would we do? >> We would investigate the complaints. >> For what? She didn't >> disorderly conduct. >> Okay. >> If she's calling you names and doing stuff like that, but not taking matters in your own hands, right? >> I guess. Yeah, you're right. >> Cuz this is how it ends up, correct? >> Yep. Okay. All right. So, don't grab anything out of your pockets. The stuff you want or you have on you, you don't want to go with you. Correct. Is that what you're saying? >> No. >> Okay. So, I'm going to have you lay the lay the vapor whatever right on top of my car here. All right. Don't don't eat your box for me. Hang out there. Your bars. All right. What's your first name, bud? Jacob. >> Jacob. Okay. >> All right. >> No, you're good. >> You have an ID on you, Jacob. In your wallet. >> In your wallet. Okay. Put your hands behind your back. >> Yeah. Yeah, >> I've got everything. >> Gerald, >> not too tight. >> Go get Pam. >> Not too tight. >> Okay, I'm going to double lock him for you. Don't get any tighter. >> Um, I just need his ID, please. >> Don't know what. Oh, it's in there. >> Here goes in here. >> Yep. Have a seat on this slide. Slide in under that seat belt. There you go. The lady in the green. Who is that to you? >> Oh, that's a friend. >> A friend. Okay. Cuz she's the one that ran over with you, correct? >> Yep. >> Okay. All right. If I have to get statement from her, too. >> Okay. Cuz she ran over with you, so I'll have to get that also. All right. Hang tight. Do you want this window down so we can get a little air? Okay, you come here and talk to me about said I'm Officer Lis. Okay. So, what can you tell me what's going on? >> She was coming up talking about the kids and [ __ ] Okay. And >> and I went after those are our kids. >> Okay. Okay. >> As you would do for your kids if you got them. >> As I asked him, what is another option rather than you taking this into your own hands and going after her like you guys did? >> You guys are here multiple times a week. If something was going to be done, it would have been done by now. >> Have you reported this before? >> No, it's pointless in my opinion. >> How do you know it's pointless if you haven't reported it before? Correct. >> Yeah. Okay. Is this a better solution for him and possibly you to be in trouble? Is that a better solution or would have been a better solution to contact us? >> In some eyes, it's a better solution. >> Okay. Well, in our eyes, it's not right. I'd rather not take you guys to jail for something that could be handled by us, right? >> Yep. >> Because at this point, you can be arrested for assault at least. Not the battery because he's the only one I saw punch her. >> He didn't hit her. >> He didn't hit her. You hit her. >> Not hit her. >> You did. Was that correct then? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Cuz the video shows him swinging. >> No, he didn't hit her. He smacked the phone out of her hand. >> Smacked the phone out of her hand and then you punched her in the face. Is that correct? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Um, take her back to your car, >> huh? >> You want to take her back to your car? Uh, can we put her in? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Uh, have him come over here. I'm going to talk to Serge. >> Yeah. >> Would you mind placing her in your car? >> Yeah. >> She actually committed the battery. >> Okay. All right. Back. [snorts] >> I'll be over. Talk to you. I'll take You >> got anything on you? >> Nice corn. >> But I'm just saying here December 15th and I had to call the police. >> Okay. SGE last night. >> Yep. >> Did he hit? >> So the video shows him swinging. >> Um she said he didn't hit her. I said, "Then you did." >> I said, "But the video shows him swinging." She goes, "No, he knocked the phone out of her hand and I punched her in the mouth." >> Oh, okay. So he >> he didn't hit her. He knocked the phone out of her hand. So >> what why do you knock the phone out of her hand? >> He didn't say why he knocked her phone out of her hand. >> He didn't say he was videaping probably. >> Yeah. He wouldn't say he didn't say he he said he didn't hit her. And he said I said well I watched a video where you swung at her. He goes, "Well, I didn't hit her." I'm like, "Well, the video showed you swinging at her." So he didn't say he didn't say he didn't say anything about the theuh phone. And then she said, "No, he knocked the phone out of me." I said, "Then who punched her?" And she goes, "I did." So, >> so that's what we got for right now. >> Okay. >> Did Brooklyn go back in her apartment? >> I guess so. I don't know. >> I told her not to come back up here. I wanted her to wait. She >> walk around this way. >> I wanted her to wait and I told her to walk. >> I went around. I went around specifically to see if she went down that road and then came up here. I didn't see her. So, I don't know where she went. >> So, do you want me to do >> She had a bloody mouth. That's why she had >> her battery. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I'm okay with that. I mean, >> yeah, knocking the phone out. I mean, that >> he didn't want to be videotaped. >> I mean, he came, but he's in public, but still. >> Did he break the phone? Is it broke? >> Broke before. >> It was a broken phone. >> Yeah. I'll have to release him >> with him locking the phone out of her hand. That's all he got. I don't know if you want to talk. >> Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. >> Okay. Well, sure. She was telling me when I was talking to her, well, I didn't say the thing here. I'm like, well, we were watching on video, so I don't know exactly what, you know. So, >> yeah, I don't either, but if you want to say they knock they knocked out her hand. >> She admitted to hitting her. >> Yes. >> And this What's this lady saying? She didn't hit her when she's admitting her. >> Well, the girl admitted to their hands. >> I'll get um >> I just didn't know if you wanted >> I'll get some statement forms and have them fill out statements. >> I think she's probably the only one that witnessed it. >> You want to go ahead and release the mail then? If he just knocked the phone out of her hand check and make sure but >> if the phone's not broke, you know. >> Was her phone broken when you looked >> broken before? >> I mean, I'm sure her phone shattered. >> So, >> yeah, it was broken before. So, >> I'll get >> I'll get her. >> Did you see Did you see all this? >> The only reason I put her in my car is cuz I don't think she'd fit in the back of mine. I was I was just You got more room. I'm going to talk to him and see if he says he just knocked his phone out cuz she's saying that he just knocked her phone out and >> kick their door in. >> Um I don't know. I saw that and then uh >> like shots or something in the the front. This is her vape. Did you want that to go to them? >> All right, sir. You want to give me some a little more information? >> What you want to know? >> Okay. Why didn't you like her phone for some reason? >> What was going on? She was trying to video me. >> Okay. She was trying to video and you didn't like her phone. So, what' you do? >> Try to smack her phone out of her hand. >> Okay. >> That's all I was trying to do. >> Okay. >> She's always doing this [ __ ] non-stop. I've been >> here for 8 years in this house. >> She's been here for two and a half. And she tried to fight my girlfriend's mom. She tried to fight my girlfriend. She tried to Every time we're standing out, she walks by, she's got something to say to us. >> Sure. >> And I'm going through a lot. I mean, I lost my girlfriend, my fiance. >> Okay. >> A month ago. >> Mhm. >> And I'm I don't know. I'm >> Did you not want to get anybody else in trouble? Is that why you all you told me was you didn't hit her? >> I didn't hit her. I hit her. >> I know you didn't because somebody else admitted to hitting her and they said that you hit the phone. >> I hit the phone. >> Mhm. >> Yes. That's all I did. >> Okay. So, why didn't you tell me a little bit further that somebody else had hit her? Not want to get him in trouble. >> Yeah. >> Okay. cuz she admitted to it, >> did she? >> Yeah. >> And she admitted that you're the one that hit the phone out of the hand and she actually is the one that punched her. >> Okay. So, what I'm going to do is you're being released. Okay. What about her? >> She's going for the battery. >> How much is battery to get her out? >> Um, so she'll be able to get out. >> It'll be it'll be a no bond because of the safety act. >> Um, she should have a no bond warrant or no not warrant, sorry. No bond release. I'm sorry. >> Yeah. So basically all I have to do is go over and do the paperwork and it should be right out. >> Yeah. I'm sorry for the way I acted. >> You're fine. >> I shouldn't have. >> Believe it or not, people act like that with me all the time, right? Cuz something's happened. A lot of times they don't want to tell me the truth. Okay. >> I'm normally not that way. >> Okay. >> I And I appreciate I appreciate your honesty now. Yeah. Yeah. I appreciate it. >> Over with. >> Yeah. I appreciate it. But like I said, I understand not wanting to get in somebody in trouble. However, I I I I like the fact you were going to take the heat for her, but we we would have found out eventually what exactly what happened, right? >> Yeah. You guys would have eventually. >> Yeah. Within a few minutes. >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Step out for me and I'm going to take the puffs off. >> Maybe. Okay. Turn around. Face my face. My car here. Yeah, next time. >> Hopefully there's not next time, but next time. >> No, next time >> he comes by. I'm calling you guys and just be honest with me. >> If something happens, just be honest with me the first time, right? >> Yeah. >> That's all you got to do. I know you're trying to keep somebody else out of trouble, but you got to be honest with me. Okay. >> All right. >> If you haven't not been honest before, don't start lying now. All right. >> Okay. Let me get your ID. Yep. Let me get your ID back to you, too. And the guy in the gray hood, he's got all your stuff. >> All right. >> I can get it out of there. Look my phones. There's your ID back. That's the only thing I had yours. Okay. >> Um, like I said, she'll go for the the battery. It'll just be paperwork and then we'll get it released. She'll have a cycle form and then she'll be released and be we'll come right back over here. >> All right. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Yeah. That's that lady's story does not add up cuz she admitted >> to the video. >> It wasn't to me either. But I was she's I don't know. She said she didn't see anything right >> according to the video that I saw on Brooklyn's home, which she wouldn't let me record there. She wants me to send it to the email and be secretive about. I'm like, "Okay." But I said, "I can't get that immediately." And she's like, "No, you're not recording. Send them my email." I'm like, "Okay." So that's where I was with that. So All right. >> Pause before they run up. And you can't >> We'll just have to record where they run over. >> Something belongs. >> Well, we'll just have to record where they go from here to there. And we'll get I'll get statements from her, statements from him. >> Nope. I'll get Yep. >> I didn't see her picture at all. I didn't see that girl touch them either other than she lunged at Jake. But I mean that was it. I mean I didn't see it. Maybe it happened. >> No, I've been I've been out of that for probably what 10 years now. 9 10 years. >> Actually I did away with Dare. So >> So he runs out what they call the teens program. So what he does. So >> no, we did good enough. >> It did not fall. So, you have a statement. You can give the K the black shirt >> if they want to fill them out. I mean, yeah, they don't want to fill them out. So, >> I don't want to fill it out because I live here. >> I am not. >> I'm going to offer to him. >> I'm not associated with them people. I just made >> Yeah, I got them. If you want Yeah. Yeah. >> on camera. >> You want to complete a written statement of what all she was doing, yelling at your kids and everything? >> I can. >> It's up to you. >> It's It's called a voluntary written statement. if you're willing to fill one out. Um, you just write down exactly what she was doing and what she said. I'm going to offer it to her also. Um, even though she's letting her rest for battery. I mean, obviously there was something that caused you guys to act out, right? So, I'm going to offer that to her, too. So, that's up to you. He has written statements. If you want to fill one out, I'll have him grab one. And >> one, I'll grab >> No. Okay. I mean, we have your your side of it. What happened? Obviously, we're on body camera and everything you've said. So, um, everything's on there. It's just it's a little it's one of those things that's in your words you're writing that, you know, you're saying this is exactly what happened. >> You just swing at the phone, but the phone never fell. Right. >> Right. >> Okay. But you statement. Okay. >> What? That's what he told me in the car. >> Good day. >> Yep. >> Good for me, man. >> Okay. Uh, I'm going to go ahead and get her over there. I told him it'll be our sight and release. um give her battery and all her statement get >> I don't know if they can >> with the fact that we're arrest her not going to do that >> in this incident. Yeah. >> I mean maybe he can. He lives here. Lived here for 8 years. >> I don't know if she actually lives here. >> No. No. I mean >> the girl. >> Yeah. >> He lives here. The guy does. Does she? >> Hey, we're doing our wedding. I'm sorry you're doing your bill. >> You live here, correct? >> Yes. >> You said you lived here for 8 years. Does she live there? >> Yeah, she's uh my babysitter. I work and she just babysits my kids for me. >> Okay. All right. But you do live here, correct? Okay. So, here is an option for you. I know this incident occurred. However, if this continues to keep up, and this is why it's important to call us, is you can always get an order of protection. like yes sir if these incidents keep up. That's why it's really important to call us because it's in black and white instead of you just saying, "Well, this has happened 10 times before this, >> right? We can't say it did because you never called." So, that's why it's really important, but you could always get try to get an order of protection. Um, even due to this, I mean, I know something happened, but you know that where you're you're the suspect in, however, you can always try to get if this is something ongoing, you can uh get an order try to get an order protection. >> Okay. >> Okay. Or no contact order, whatever they'll give you for that. >> Okay. So, like I said, it's very important to report anytime this is happening. When she's yelling, screaming, just call us, tell us what's going on, we'll come down and investigate it. And then that way there's uh something saying this is what she's doing. And then from there, I mean, that's on black and white. This has happened. And then, you know, that way they can look at and say, "Yeah, we're going to we're going to grant you a order of protection or no contact." >> Okay. So, that's another option for you if this is something that continues to go. I mean, obviously, you don't want to live that way. you lived here for 8 years, so you don't want her doing that to your kids and everything. So that's that's another option for you. >> All right. >> Okay. I just wanted to make sure I didn't know if she lived here, too. I was going to offer her the same option. Uh tell her about same option. >> All right. >> Okay. >> All right. >> We [laughter] do. >> I explain I explained uh getting OP cuz he lived here as a babysitter. So um I explained it to him causing problems. >> Yeah. I explained that to him. I said even with you being suspect in this, you can still go attempt to get an OP. We got contact every time. She causes problems around here. So yeah, now >> I have to take her over to county. It's just it's sight release. So I'll just fill out a ticket processor. They'll >> be concerned. That's a baby mile. >> Yep. They'll kick her right back out and she'll be back over here. Okay. >> I will. What? It's got motor on it. So, I'll be pumping it anyway. >> What's that? >> You guys going to drop her ass back off? I don't want to get yelled at. >> You don't want to get yelled at? >> We probably won't drop her back off, but yeah, she won't be in just a few minutes, though. That's >> Have a good day, guys. Thank you. Thank you. >> You want to uh >> transport and I'll just go out front and start >> I'm explain I'm going to explain to her the whole deal here but >> Okay. Do you have her ID also? >> No. >> Okay. >> Did you have an ID on you? >> No. >> No. Okay. Do you have an ID somewhere or is is it in a house or something? Okay. All right. I'll just get your information. Okay. Um, so I'm gonna kind of let you know what's going on. All right. So, he said that he didn't necessarily punch her, right? So, I'm watching video where he swings at her, right? So, looks like he punches her, correct? He just didn't want to get you in trouble. Okay. You're saying that you he knocked phone out, which is what he's saying. So, now the whole story adds up, right? Everything we're seeing on there adds up. Okay. So, what you're going to get, you're going to receive a charge for battery because you actually hit her in the in the mouth. Um, you're going to receive a charge for battery, but it's going to be a sight release. So, all we have to do is go over the fill out paperwork and you'll be automatically released. Okay? And be able to come right back over here. Okay? You understand? Okay? And then, um, as I explained to it's the guy that lives here cuz I didn't know if you lived here or not. As I explained to him, the way to handle this is an order of protection because she does this all the time. So, he's been explained to how to get an order protection. So, um, if that's something where you're over here and babysitting quite a bit, that's an option. >> Thanks for watching Body Cams in.
