We're going to take the handcuffs off. Is that okay with you? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> And I apologize for that. We We don't know what's going on early on in these situations, so we just have a little bit more caution. I hope you understand. Okay, >> I understand. >> Cool. Well, just cuz every it's kind of newer and developing and like I said, we don't really know fully what's going on. Um, I do want to advise you of your constitutional rights before we talk at all. Um, again, as far as I could tell right now, you're not a suspect. You didn't do anything wrong. Um, from my understanding of everyone I've talked to, but um, it doesn't hurt to get a refresher on your rights. So, we're just going to read through these and then, uh, we'll talk more afterwards after we get through them. Sound good to you? >> Sound good? All righty, man. I'm going to read this verbatim. Okay, you can just hold on to that for us. All right. Okay. You excited for Halloween? Did you have any uh any costumes set aside you're going to dress up as or anything? >> I was intending to dress up as a spooky character to pass out candy with my mom and dad, but >> yeah, >> the mask was deemed from what I found out was there's like masks that are deemed a little too scary for children. So, I was like >> Oh, yeah. >> I was going to paint my face like the crow. >> That's cool. Oh, okay. That's a cool movie. Yeah. Well, let's get a little bit more information about you, okay? Um, have you ever before we start off, have you ever had an interview like this before with no >> law enforcement or anything like that? >> Well, don't be nervous. It's not like the movies. We're not We're not here to, you know, we're not going to yell at you or anything like that. Um, it's more information gathering. We're just trying to have a conversation with you and we're just trying to get down to the facts, what happened today and why we're here. Um, do you have any questions about that? >> No. >> Okay. So, the only thing I ask is for truthfulness. I'm going to be upfront with you. I'm going to be truthful with you. I just ask that you do the same to me in return. Okay? Just tell me the truth and tell me everything that happened. All right? >> Okay. Let's start with your name. What's your name? >> Isaac Akadaka. >> Can you spell your first name? >> I S A C >> A C. Spell your last name. >> A P O D A. Your date of birth, Isaac. I'm old. How old are you? I live at 5941 Jaguar Drive. Okay. Um, whose whose house is that? Is that your house? >> That is Lanny McCaulay's house. >> Lanny McCauley's house. And who's Lanni McCauley to you? Uh, she is mother-in-law. >> Mother-in-law. >> Yes. >> Uh, so mother-in-law, I presume you're married. >> Not yet. >> Not yet. Okay. >> We've pushed off the wedding far down the line. So, >> engaged then? >> Yes. >> Okay. Uh, so who's your fiance? >> Kiara McCulli. Okay. Uh, where does So, because it's Lonnie McCauy's house, um, does she live there or does she live somewhere else? >> She lives there. >> Okay. >> In the main house. >> In the main house in at 5941 Jaguar Drive. >> Correct. >> And would you say the main house? What do you mean by that? >> The main house. Um, there's a garage in the backyard that's separated from the main house. It would be >> if I gave you a paper and a pen to kind of draw it out for me. >> Kind of show me show me where Jaguar Drive is. Show me where the house is. >> Let me start it off for you. How about this? >> I'm I was going to do it that way. >> Let's do it. Let's do it like that. So, we'll call this Jaguar Drive. Okay. And let's say the house and everything is right there. So, kind of like if you're looking at it as it runs this way. >> All right. So, the house would be here's the um sidewalk. Then the house goes like this. >> Just a little bit like that >> and then the garage would be this is the back door. >> Okay. >> Right here would be I'm horrible at drawings. >> It's okay. I'm not I'm not so good myself if you could tell from my my road. My lines aren't straight at all. Um is >> try. So, what's all this in between? Is this all part of the property? >> Uh, this would be yard. >> Gotcha. Okay. >> And then is it cut off here on this side, too? >> Uh, yes. >> Okay. Can you put the the numbers of the address here? I think you said 5941. Okay. Gotcha. Cool. I'm a visual person, so things like this help me a lot. Okay, so let's put this to the side for a bit and we'll kind of reference this as we kind of describe what's going on here. Um, so again, you said you you live here. So, do you live in the main house or do you live in the garage? >> In the garage. >> You live in the garage. Um, how long have you been living in the garage? >> A year and a half. No, a year. Yeah, a year and a month, actually. I don't know why I said year and a half. >> Okay. And how long have you been in a relationship with uh Kiara? >> 3 years. I mean, 3 years. 10 months. >> 3 years and 10 months. Almost four years. And you've been staying here for about a year and a month, you said, right? Okay. >> Now, going back to talking about uh Lonnie McCauley, you said she lives here in the main house. >> Yes. >> Okay. Uh where does Kiara live? >> In the garage. >> Okay. So, you and Kiara live in the garage. Okay, cool. That gives me some good background. Um okay, let's bring ourselves to today. Um and kind of why we're here. So, this is what I want you to try and do, okay? I want you to kind of think back to where kind of all this began, before there was ever any anything regarding the incident, and I want you to kind of tell me in your own memory what happened from that time all the way to getting here to this interview. I'm going to do my best not to interrupt you, okay? I just want you to give me your own account of what happened. Okay? So from the time it began would be yesterday we started we were all hanging out. Everybody was talking happy normal kind of thing. Not a lot. Nighttime came around and we started going to we started falling asleep. Khali did not fall asleep. Um, I did not get good rest because she had been placing something sharp in my back throughout the morning hours. I had been placing something sharp in my back and um I had told I was talking to Grace who was in the garage as well. I said, uh, we have to go. Um, she's she's telling us we need to leave. And I said that and then I proceeded to start packing my stuff. And I left the main house to go use the restroom for the last time. And then I walked him back into the garage. She walks up to me and goes, "I did it." With a smile on her face and I looked at the ground and I was like, "Uh, what do I do now?" So, I called my mom immediately to let her know that something happened. My mom proceeded to call 911, let um the dispatcher know exactly what happened. And the dispatcher called me to make sure everything was okay. I got greeted by the cops cuz they detained me, which was normal, but they noticed that I was freaking out. Everybody that was around me was noticing I was freaking out. I was really scared because I've witnessed Sorry, >> it's okay. >> I I've witnessed my friend getting shot. >> So my >> separately from this, >> yes, it was a while back. I was asked to be his best man at his wedding >> and I was sitting in the back seat. Guy walked up, blew his brains out. They landed on me to testify in court and I'm >> super anything like this gets me super traumatized and yeah >> it's a traumatic event >> I can imagine >> and I saw my friend laying on the ground be this is going be back to when I went back in the garage and I saw her in the ground on on the ground I was like I couldn't say anything cuz I was like this is another one of my friends gone. I keep losing friends left and right. So I I'm going to go back here. Go back to the cops. When they detained me, they had me in the car. Um I did a search first time I had my phone my wallet with me and then the second search before we came here they took my phone and wallet um and then we were here we're here interview getting well I'm here getting interviewed by you you nice police officers. >> Thank you for that. I'm I'm scared right now. >> What are you scared of? >> Of what just happened? >> It's a lot to take in, I can imagine. >> Can I reclarify some of the stuff you told me? >> Yes. >> I just want to kind of summarize what you told me first. Okay. So, going back to yesterday, you were all hanging out. Everyone was happy. Everyone was having a good time. Nighttime happened, which was yesterday, the 28th. Um, you all fell asleep, but Kiara did not fall asleep. And you said you didn't get good sleep cuz you felt something poking you throughout the night. >> Yes. And then the next day comes um and you told Grace that you you two have to leave um because Kiara is telling you guys you had to leave and then you were packing up your things. You went back to the main house to use the restroom for the last time. When you returned back to the garage, um Kiara was standing there and she had a smile on her face and she said, "I did it. Yes. And then at this point, you called your mom, let her know what happened. Your mom called 911. Uh, dispatch ended up calling you. Then a little bit later, law enforcement ended up finding you. Um, and then you started talking about how you saw your friend on the ground. And this has been difficult for you cuz this is another one of your your friends gone. Um, police searched you. You had a phone and a wallet on you and then they brought you over here. Is this a good summary of what you told me? >> Yes. >> Okay. I want to just clarify some of these things. Okay. Just kind of fill in some of these gaps so that I have a better understanding of what happened. So, you're saying yesterday you're all hanging out and you're all happy. So, who who is all of you? Who all is hanging out? >> Kiara Grace. >> Okay. Isaac, Kiara, and Grace. Okay. Where were you hanging out at? >> In the garage. >> Okay. Um, tell me tell me a little bit about Grace. >> Grace, I met her through Snapchat and was one of the weirdest circumstances. I was 20 at the time. when she was 16. And I know I'm admitting something that I did wrong there. >> Um, but we started hanging out as friends and she became like one of my best friends. I have a long list of best friends that are really nice to me and they treat me with a lot of respect. And after a while, I lost contact with Grace. But then Grace contacted me saying, "Hey, um, I don't feel safe in Albuquerque, and that was last night, and she wanted to come hang out." And I was like, "Okay, cool. Just let me know when you're here and I'll let you in." And she got there and I let her in. She um she and Kiara started talking. Everything looked like it was going good. Well, from what I perceived, it looked like it was going good. And then she fell asleep last night. She fell asleep. I tried falling asleep and I kept getting prodded with something in my back. I don't know what it was, but it was hurting my back. Lower back. I have um a limber spine. >> Mhm. >> And the part of my lower back is thinner than normal. So, >> anything go wrong there? Um >> Sure. >> Done. >> Yeah. So, you met Grace through Snapchat. How long ago did you meet Grace? >> That was 2018. [Music] You guys were hanging out as friends. Um, you guys ever date? >> Uh, we did date. >> Did date? >> It was when she was 16. I was 20. >> Okay. >> I committed a crime there, but >> Well, I appreciate your honesty. Um, understand that's not what we're here for. Okay. Okay. You guys dated for a while and then you lost contact. So, this period of losing contact, was that would it be safe to call that a breakup or what was that? >> It was a breakup. >> Okay. So, could I describe Grace's ex-girlfriend? Would that be a fair way to describe her? Okay. >> So, Grace contacts you yesterday. How did she contact you? >> Through Instagram. >> Yeah. >> You both have Instagram profiles, I imagine. You and Grace. >> Yes. >> Okay. She was asking for a place to stay. >> A place to hang out for the night. A >> place to hang out for the night. for the night. >> Yeah. >> Um, so you told her this was fine. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> What time did she get to your place? The garage, we'll call it. What time did she get there last night? >> 11:32 p.m. >> That's very specific. How do you remember that exact time? I kept seeing the I kept looking at my phone and when she said she's here, that's a time that it showed up on there. >> You have a good memory. >> I've noticed so far you're like really good like your dates, how long things have been, your months. Very precise. So, Grace arrives. Um, how does Kiara feel about this? Cuz Kiara is your fiance of almost four years. Kiara was um last night I had to I I had to tell her to stop being violent. She was being violent towards me prior to Grace contacting me. >> How so? >> Um she kept threatening me with a sword, threatening me with a knife. I there was a butterfly knife that's in the room I had to grab out of her hand and I threw it across the garage cuz she had it like right up right here and I told her don't be waving stuff around me like that. Please stop. >> When was this? >> Last night before Grace. >> Okay. Uh tell me about that incident a little bit more. She had she had been swinging the knife around like this and then she pointed at me like as if she was going to kill me and she was getting very violent. She grabbed her sword, started swinging it around. Um, there was a dagger. She was dragging across my face and I was telling her to please stop. I'm trying to concentrate and be calm. And this is actually something that has happened in the past where she has actually lashed out towards me. And I got in trouble because of a domestic violence case. >> What Why was Why was Cara being violent last night? Um she was bringing up old memories. Well, not old memories, more like old past um problems and then telling me, "Oh, you're just this and that and you're going to do the same thing over and over with these people." And they I was like, "I'm getting tired of this." and she pulled out the butterfly knife right at me and swinging it around. >> Can you be more specific? What What was she talking about? Old memories, past problems, what's that? >> Um, I once dated a girl named Janelle. Jana and uh she was thinking that it was going to be like Jana coming back over except that wasn't even the case. And I told her, "Stop, please stop bringing up my past and throwing it in my face." So, she went and brought up another instance, which was 2021. Her name is Mary Lou. >> And she started throwing that in my face, and I like started getting tired of it. And I was like, "Please stop bringing up my old stop bringing up my past. This is the present." >> Are you describing that kind of jealousy type things? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, at this point where you guys are arguing and she's bringing up the past, does she know that Grace is coming over? >> Yes. >> Okay. Did that have anything to do with this interaction? >> I I think so. Kiara also has a past with Grace. >> Oh, they know each other. >> Yes. >> What's their past? >> Uh, they are exes to each other. >> Oh, they used to date each other. >> Yes. >> Okay. How long ago was that? >> 2017. Um, I roughly from what I was told lasted 11 months. >> Okay. And uh what happened there? Do you know the background there of why it ended? >> Um Kiara started getting Kiara and her started um a fight one night and it was another friend Brady. Uh Grace brought a knife up to Kiara's throat and it took the act of Brady to punch him. won't punch Grace to get it. >> Grace at that time put a knife to Kiara's throat. >> Yes. So, kind of going back to last night to yesterday, you guys are all hanging out. you, Kiara, Grace. You and Carara had kind of had this argument before Grace arrived over the past, over all things. During this argument, um, Cara had kind of swung around a sword and pulled out a butterfly knife. Um, you said something about the butterfly knife that you had to take it away and throw it away. >> Yes. >> Where did you throw it to? >> I threw it to the back of the garage, which is by the garage door. There should be like right there by the insulation still. There's some insulation to the back of the garage door. >> Inside the garage still though. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Can you describe that knife to me? >> It is. It had It's black but with red tiger's eye stone on it. >> And it Can I draw it or? >> Yeah, sure. Let me give you another piece of paper. >> Awesome. >> Let's just do a door. Keep things clean. draw that looks nice. this with um and there's the tiger's eye stone right here >> all the way down. But that this is the all this would be the tiger's eye stone >> and it's not that big but it's bit bigger. >> Can we title this butterfly knife up on top? Can you list me out the description for the butterfly knife? Um, mostly colors for blade material or blade color, handle color, things like that. Yeah, they'll probably suffice. Can Can you just uh initial down here at the bottom and today's date again? >> Yeah, sure. The 29 10 29 of 2022. Let's do the same thing for this one. Just initial put the uh date right there. I remember who drew these. We talked about a We talked about a samurai sword being kind of swung around too. Explain to me more about that. >> It's more like a old English kind of sword. power. >> Um, I don't know if you're like a fan of Lord of the Rings. >> Oh, yeah. Absolutely. >> Aragon sword. >> Okay. So, >> it looks like that. Or is it like a replica? >> It looks like that. >> It looks like that. >> Why am I doing this? So, who does this knife belong to? >> Kiara. >> Kiara. Who does the sword belong to? >> Kiara. >> Kiara. >> What about the dagger that belong to? >> Kiara. >> Kiara. See if I can do it right. And the place. Let's title this one a sword. Let's describe it over here. These colors here blade color handle color. You just initial at the bottom. Sword, stainless steel blade. That's the blade here, right? >> Yes. >> Black hilt. Uh that would be this whole part, right? >> Yes. >> Okay. With black sheath. >> I also put in parentheses that already it is sharp. >> Battle ready. It is sharp. Gotcha. Okay. So, let's talk more about the sword in regards to uh last night's incident with uh Kiara. What was she doing with the sword? >> This and then pointing it right here. She nicked me right there in the arm and nicked me right across. Um, >> why was she doing that? >> To see if I I was scared of her. >> To see if you were scared of her. >> Is that what she said or is that what you think? >> That's what she said. >> That's what she said. >> Are you scared of me? Just like that. And I was like a a bit. Yes, I'm very scared right now. >> You also mentioned a dagger. >> Yes. >> What happened with the dagger last night? the dagger um chip was I I think for a fact that that was the thing that was getting stabbed in my back and it was just going that but last night she was also scratching it across my face like does this scare you? >> And where was this all happening at? In the garage. >> In the garage. Can we draw the dagger as well, please? Same thing with these other two. This one a little more tricky. There's a hilt with it. That's the guard. And then And same thing just like this. >> Yes, please. Okay, let's just keep these down for reference if they come up again. We did I know we talked about the location of what happened with the butterfly knife. It got thrown in the garage after last night. What happened with the sword? A sword was just placed on the ground. >> Okay. In the garage. >> Yes. Okay. >> In the sheath or not in the sheath? >> In the sheath. >> In the sheath. >> What about the dagger? What happened to the dagger last night? >> I do not know where the dagger is. Okay. >> Um, okay. Going back into your original account of what happened. Nighttime came, everyone fell asleep, but Ki did not fall asleep. And you were kind of talking about it earlier that you were feeling something poking you and that you're pretty sure it was a stagger. >> Yes. >> Did Did you get any injuries from that last night? Have you checked? >> Um I have not checked. Um >> do you where where bows are you getting poked like in your back? >> Like >> can we can you pick up your shirt and stand up if you feel comfortable? Can we look >> like right here? And >> I don't know if there's anything but >> Yeah, >> it's really sore back here. like it's hurting. >> Okay. About how many times would you say you were poked last night? >> 15 >> 15 times around what time was this happening at? >> This would have been 6:00 in the morning. >> 6:00 a.m. Um, >> were the were the pokings as you described them, were they spread out or were they all at the same time >> over what duration of time? Um, from 3:00 a.m. all the way to 6:00 a.m. >> 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. spread out. Okay. About 15 times. And did you guys talk at all? Did you say anything when this was happening or what? >> I told her to stop it. Please stop. And she didn't want to. >> She say why she's doing that? >> She She dis and then turned over and then it started all over again. And I was like, "Please stop. It's hurting me. Like, it's really hurting my back." So, in your in your original statement, you say that Kiara was poking in the back and then we kind of jumped to you telling Grace that you guys had to go cuz K didn't want you there anymore. >> How did you know that Kiara didn't want you guys there anymore? She um she woke up. Well, she woke up from what she said. She slept, but she was awake the whole time. And she turned over um told me, "You guys need to get out. I don't want you guys here." And then proceeded to start playing with something. I don't know what she was playing with. Mhm. >> It was really freaking me out. So, I was trying to get out. I was in and out of the room trying to contact my mom to pick me up to get me out of there. >> What time was that at? >> I contacted my mom around, I would say, 12. >> What time did you guys wake up at? What time did you wake up at? >> I woke up at about 7:50. >> 7:50 a.m. >> Yes. >> So, did this did At what time did Kiara tell you you guys had to leave? She told us we had to leave at about 8:30. >> Okay. I'm being honest. >> In between 8:30 and to the time your mom called 911, kind of what happened in there. I was packing my stuff, getting ready to just I was just going to walk it all the way over there. But when I packed my stuff, I went inside the house, which was a stupid mistake for me to go in the house, use the bathroom, and then come back and see what I saw. >> So, what time did you go to use the restroom? >> That would have been 11. 11:40. >> 11:40. >> Yes. >> How long did you use the restroom for? >> About 30 seconds. It was quick. Number one. >> Okay. What do you mean by number one? >> Pee. >> Pee. And then after you peed, you went immediately back to the garage. >> Yes. >> So around what time would you say that was at? >> 11:47. Are you how certain are you about the time? >> I'm really certain. >> Really certain about the time. Okay. So, you go back to the garage and tell me in detail what you see. I walk in. She yells. She tells me, I didn't mean to say. She yelled. She goes, "I did it." I look at the ground and I see Someone dead. I see an ear hanging and I'm like, >> you see someone dead? Who is that someone? >> Grace. >> How do you know she's dead? >> Yeah. She his K goes, I got her across the throat and she did the gurgle. And I'm like, uh, uh, what do I do now? I need to get out of here. Do you know why Kiara did this? >> No. >> What were Kiara and Grace doing before you went to the restroom? >> They were just sitting there. They were sitting on the bed and and when I went back, that's what happened. I was like, "What? This is um all too this is way too quick. What just happened?" I was I'm really freaking out on it because that's my friend >> and then Kiara is now my ex. She's involved and I'm freaking out because I just wanted to leave. >> Yeah. >> Describe to me more what you see when you go into the garage. So, I'm not familiar with this garage. Let's go back to our pictures. Did you enter through like a door? Do you have to open up a large door in the garage or did you enter through? >> The door would be right here. >> You could draw that if you want. >> So that's the door into the garage. >> Yeah. >> Is that the one you enter? >> Yes. >> And where is Grace Lane when you see her? >> Box. Here's the door. She is within right here. Right. She's off the bed on the route. >> And where's Kiara at? >> Um, she's also off the bed by the TV. >> Where's the TV at? >> TV. >> Okay. And show me where uh put where uh Kiara was at, too. there. Okay. >> Describe Grace to me. More her injuries. What did you observe? >> I saw an ear cut off um on something with her knee. There was right here. I saw blood right here. >> Blood right here. And started seeing blood right leaking out. I was like so blood leaking out >> and she was just like like that. That's not me making fun of that. >> I have a very strong rule on that. >> You're describing something to me. Yeah, I know. >> Okay. What about Kiara? Did What did you observe about Kiara? Um I would like to stand up and if you can too for this is that possibility or >> for what? >> To show you exactly what I observed. >> I'll just describe it as best you can. >> I did it and she tried touching my hands >> which I was like I pulled away cuz I was like don't touch me. She had blood all over her hands. All on here, all on here, right here, and on her face. >> There's blood all over. >> And I was like, "Just don't touch me, please." >> Did she touch you? >> She tried to. And I p She tried touching me like right over here and she did not successfully touch me cuz I pulled away really fast. >> Did any blood get on you? >> No. No. Okay. So, she tells you this and then what happens? >> She's all um I'm going to get rid of it. >> What did she mean by it? >> Grace. >> She's going to get rid of it. >> Yes. >> What do you think she meant by that? She was going to Yeah. She said she had called somebody that after she said I did it, she said she had called somebody to come help her pick up the box. >> Who'd she call? >> A guy named Al. >> Al? >> Yes. >> You know who this is? Um, L. I have all I know is he his name is Al and Africanamean and besides that he would be my age and that's it. >> I've never met him before. >> No. >> How do you know he's African-American? >> Um, that's what Kiara had described him to be. >> So that was her plan to give her the body. Al was going to come help her. >> Yes. >> Where were they going to take the bodies? >> I I don't know. >> Can you tell me anything else about Al? >> No. >> So, she has a plan. She's going to get rid of the body. Then what happens? Is this conversation happening in the garage? this conversation is happening right there in the garage. And I walked out of the garage cuz she goes, "I'm going to go take a shower so I could get cleaned up and look better." And I'm like, "Okay, I'm just going to go right over here by the gate and I'm going to make a phone call real quick." Phone call I made was my mom. >> Mhm. >> And >> what time did you call your mom at? That would have been around 12. >> 12. >> What did you tell your mom? >> I was like, "Uh, can you guys pick me up, please?" And they're like, "No, but you can come over. What's going on?" I was like, "I just witnessed something very bad." And my mom's all, "What did you witness?" I walked in on um I I said I walked in on then I stumbled my word and I said Kiara killed Grace and that's what I walked in on. And she was like I'm calling 911 right now and After that, I walked over to AP Wireless cuz I felt like that would have been a safe space for me to be. And um the guy there, he's friends with me. He said, "Just sit right here. You're okay, dude. Just sit right here. If anything happens, >> Yeah. >> just know you're in a pretty good safe spot away from Yeah. And then the cops met me and I got scared cuz I was like, "Oh no, I'm in trouble." But then they're like, "Oh, we got to just we're detaining you to question you." And like, "Okay, cool." Had a panic attack in the cop car. I don't know if one of the officers said anything to you. >> I didn't heard that. >> I had a panic attack. Um, >> that's a lot what you just went through. You know, that's that's tough. I passed out. The cop um went like that to see if I was alive or awake and I woke up right away and he's all, "What's wrong?" I was I just passed out. I'm sorry. >> How do you feel now? >> I'm still shooking out. >> Well, you let me know if you need medical attention or anything like that. I know this stuff is is difficult. Okay. All I want to do is just I just want to get my stuff go back to my mom and dad >> cuz at least there I know that I'm safe. >> I'll try and make that happen for you as soon as I can. Okay. >> Right. Just scared right now. >> Did you see anything else in the garage? Anything else stick out to you? >> There was blood on the sheets that I had purchased. >> Okay. Everything that happened today, it's like really shaking me up because [Music] I've witnessed my friend get murdered. I've witnessed another friend get murdered a second time. I've I've been robbed. I've just been on an unlucky streak of [ __ ] happening to me and I'm not okay right now. Sorry if my voice is low. I'm getting over a sickness. >> It's okay. >> Did you see any weapons inside the garage? >> Just the sword. It was right there. >> What it look like? Well, not like a not description, but like >> there was blood all over it. >> Blood on the sword. >> Why do you think there was blood all over it? That's what Kiara did. >> And I think the only question I have left for you that's kind of coming to mind is uh you're saying you were told to leave 8:00 in the morning, right? >> Yes. >> You start packing up your things to leave and then this happens a little before 12:00, right? >> Yes. >> So, what took so long to leave in that 3-hour gap? >> Um, my mom I was trying to call her before that. I was like, "Can I kept calling her through Facebook? She didn't want to pick up." So, I finally called her through her phone number. And then that's when she started picking up and saying, "Hey, what's going on?" She's like, "Um, I need to be picked up here. Please pick me up." And then like, "No, we can't pick you up right now. We're out and about." And I was trying to find another ride or something. >> Okay, that makes sense. And then between when this happened 12 and I think we got the call a little after 1:30. >> Y kind of an hour and a half gap there. I know you said you called your mom and she quickly called 911, but it doesn't really seem to line up with our timeline at least from Can you help make me understand that? Was there a long period of time that you and Kiara were trying to figure out what was going to happen? There was a there was a long period of time. It was when I was standing on the side of the garage. >> Tell me about that. >> I was hyperventilating on the side of the garage and I was like like that and then I made the call to my mom. My mom made the call to y'all. But I was just I'm I was shooken up. And I know I should have been the one to call. I know I should have been the one to call y'all, but I'm I was shooken up. I feel like I'm going to pass out. Yeah. and just take some deep breaths. >> I didn't expect any of this to happen today. >> No, no one knows when these things happen. It's difficult. >> Hey, look up at me. You didn't do anything wrong, right? >> Right. >> Sometimes things happen. finds who we are is kind of how we move forward with things. Would you agree? >> Yes. >> You've been super truthful this whole time from what I can tell and we really much appreciate that. Um, I got one more question. I want you to be real truthful with it as you have been this whole time. Okay. >> Yes. that at any point did you think of or did you did it cross your mind or did you start helping Kiara with covering this up at all? >> No. >> No. At any point did you help Kiara injured Grace or do anything to Grace? >> No. >> No. Okay. And if if anything like that did happen or there's anything I'm missing to the story, now's the time to tell me so I get the truthful statement from you right off the bat. Is there anything anyone else is going to say about this that's going to contradict that? >> No. >> Okay. Um, talking about Kiara's mom, your mother-in-law, did she know what happened? No, >> she she didn't know. >> All she thought was Kiara was still asleep or asleep or just being her normal routinely self, which is stay away from her mom. >> Kiara went from the garage to the main house to shower. >> Is that what you said? >> Yes. >> And she was covered in blood. >> Yes. And her mom was in the house at that time? >> Yes. >> Did her mom see her covered in blood? >> I do not know. I was already handcuffed in a cop car and I don't know. >> How many bathrooms are in the main house? >> One. >> One. >> One shower. >> Yes. >> How do you feel? Still like I'm going to pass out, but >> you want to take a break? >> No. >> No. >> Well, I need a little break if that's okay with you. I'll use the restroom real quick. Um, and then uh we'll see if there's anything else, any other questions we have or anything else that maybe you want to tell us and then uh then we'll go from there. Sound good? >> Sounds good. >> All right. Hey, thanks for your time, Isaac. Go back a bit. >> Hey, Isaac. So, I have your cell phone. Um, I know our cell phones are very important to us cuz we have pretty much all our personal information on them and everything. Um, so I do want to try and get this back to you as soon as possible. Given that there were kind of messages and stuff um and this is still an active investigation, there is reason to believe that there is potentially evidence on your phone um of you know messages of you interacting with either um you know your your fiance or ex- fiance now or Grace. Um so one way or another we are going to have to look at the data on the phone. So there's a couple ways that we can go about this and I want to give you all the information so you can make a well-informed decision. Make sense? So, we can either uh do a search warrant for the dad on the phone. Um it's a little bit of a process because we have to complete the paperwork and then we have to send the cell phone along with the paperwork to um the regional communications forensic laboratory in Albuquerque and then it gets put in the queue of phones that they have to extract data for. Um usually turnaround time is around 6 months to a year before you get your phone back before we've extracted data from it. Uh the quicker option, and this is completely up to you, we can complete a San Fr electronic device consent to search and um it's just a fancy form and a fancy way of saying that you're giving us permission to extract the data from your phone and only look at things uh pertaining to this case. Um like I'm telling you, messages, um you know, different things like that, different data that um you know, that helps with our investigation. Um, so if you do want to do this, I've already kind of pre-filled it out for you. Date, location, this is the case number. Kind of same thing as that other form. This is your name right here. This is your date of birth. I am Detective Javad Hill. This is your phone right here. This is your IMI number. Okay? And then we would all we would need is your phone password and you sign this and then we can get the extraction done so you can get your phone back uh sooner rather than later. You're welcome to look over this form and read it for a bit and let me know if you have any questions right here. >> Yeah, sign right there, please. exert >> 10:29 2002 and it is 5:16 p.m. And the phone password >> password just a quick swipe up and that's it. >> Okay, let's see. So, since we had it here, I know the battery is close to dine, but I would like to manipulate it here with you, just so you can explain anything to me as we loop through it now. Start to look through it. Um, okay. Messages. Did you have any messages between you and Grace? >> Instagram. >> Instagram. Okay. And I'll I'll if it's okay with you, I'll handle the phone. You just tell me where to go. Okay. >> Um, right there. And then there Yumi code Jennings right at the top. >> Okay, that's her like profile name. >> Okay. Um, let's see. Okay, so this is kind of when everything started. Hey, I got kicked out and she's telling everyone to leave her house. I'm going to head to my fam's place. Is this her saying that? >> That's me. >> Okay. What is What What do you mean when you say that? >> I'm heading to my mom and dad's house. That's what I was going to That's what I was meaning. And the kicked out part. >> Oh, is this is this today? >> Yes. >> Oh, this is today at 12:00. Hey, I got kicked out and she's telling everyone to leave her house. She is telling everyone to leave her house. Who is she? >> Kiara. >> Kiara. And I met in my family's place. Okay. What happened? She just doesn't want us here. And I have to respect her wishes. And I'm getting my stuff. First of all, who? Second, my mom can only come get me at 3:30. Why is she kicking you out? And does she know I'm here? Wait a minute. I thought I thought you guys all hung out the night before. >> We did. >> So, how come she doesn't know she's there? I I was very confused and I told her >> she's kicking me out because you're here and she knows it. So did it's sounding like to me just just take a pause real quick. Did you Did she not know she was there? Cuz that's what it looks like. >> She knew she was there. >> Then why is it looking like in these messages? She she knew she was there and she was playing um she was um acting like she didn't know where she was. >> Who who was acting like I'm so confused. Who was acting like who didn't know who? >> Grace was acting like she didn't know where she was. >> Okay. >> Even though we had talked. >> She's kicking me out because you're here and she knows it. How? She is right next to you. What the [ __ ] Really? How? How? [ __ ] great. Yep. Why though? She is not wanting to She is not wanting to deal with it us being here and I broke her trust. She is not in the best mood. She is not wanting to deal with what? >> She's not wanting to deal with us. >> What does that mean? >> She didn't want us there at all. >> Okay. But it says she is not wanting to deal with it. Um, I was I should have been more I I'm horrible with my words. >> I'm horrible with how I type. >> I'm just trying to understand. >> It was just a mean. >> She didn't want to deal with >> us. Okay. >> Being there cuz >> I know how she feels. My mom's coming to get me soon. Okay. And that was the part that threw me off was like, "She's kicking us out. Why is she kicking you out? And how does she know I'm here?" I'm like, "We discussed this." >> So she is right next to you. So that was your way of telling her like, "I'm referring to >> Kiara." >> Kiara. Okay, that makes a little bit more sense to me now. Okay. Where are your messages with Kiara? >> My messages with Kiara? and just tell me where to go. >> Uh, you're going to go out of there. >> Okay. >> They're going to be in Messenger. >> Okay. >> And then that's my mom. And just ignore that. >> Sure. >> Um, >> uh, >> maybe the Puggy. >> Puggy. >> Mhm. >> This one right here. Okay. All righty. Uh, let's see. Whoa, those are a lot of those are a lot of emojis. Okay, we're just going to start from there. How about that? Uh, this is at 11:56 a.m. What? And that's that's uh forgive me, I forgot her name for a second. This is your fiance saying this. What? >> Yes. Hey, I have a plan with what I said. All I have to do is be over there at my fam's place and call the cops for a breakin and entering. What are you talking about there? >> Um, it was something that happened at my family's house. We've been trying to figure out who has been getting into my uh storage. >> Mhm. >> I have stuff in my storage and they keep finding it unlocked and that was something entirely different. Hold up. Listen. Okay, plan B. Just tell her she needs to leave. Follow my lead, my lady. Just tell her to leave. Dude, I'm in a mood. I did through Insta. So, now what? Operation kick out me following the call to the cops once at my families. What does that mean? That was um I was talking about cuz she had asked of me to leave and that's why I said operation kick out cuz every time I get told to leave I say operation kick out cuz it's her go-to thing to tell me to leave. And it's like she kicks me out and then a few months a few days later she's like come back over and stuff like that. but to call the cops at my family list because of the breaking and arrangement. >> So, according to you, you're talking about two different things at the same time. >> Yes. >> Okay. How about I just explain why I'm angry and why she's not wanted. Okay. Show me what you sent her. My plan. Okay. Well, and those are the messages that we looked at earlier between you and >> Yes. >> Okay. It worked with Christian. She says she is leaving at 3:30. She's mad. 3:30. Mad still. Yeah. Why don't you pop off my little firecracker? What would you like me to do? Stab her? I don't know. I don't have the energy to do [ __ ] What's this? Read what she sent. Is she stupid? Yes. Okay. I am fake getting thrown out. I am fake getting thrown out. You're getting fake thrown out. >> Yes. That's usually how it happens. I get told to leave. >> Mhm. >> And 5 days later she asks me to come back. >> Uhhuh. Follow my lead, my lady. We can hear you. They want me to spend what I have. They want me to spend what I have saved for the house. Don't What the [ __ ] What does that mean? They want me to spend what I've saved for the house. >> That was um me talking to my mom and dad. They wanted me to get a motel, which is >> not a good idea because I don't do motel. >> Don't What the [ __ ] Or WTF rather. I know how to and I am not feeling good. still told Steven and he said, "Okay, you heard that, right?" You heard what? What she talking about? You heard that, right? >> I have no clue. >> Yeah. Rune is legendary pink spotted Pokemon. Unless I ask your mom to give me a ride to Target and you do what is needed. What do you mean you do what is needed? >> I have no clue. From this on from beyond here, I don't know what's going on. You don't know what's going on, but these are messages from you. >> It's already um I do have another cell phone didn't tell you guys about, but it's still over there at the house. At the other at the house, >> okay, but this is the one you use? >> I use that one primarily only for work. >> Yeah. >> And Okay. So, you didn't send these messages or you did >> on this from down on? No. >> Oh, okay. Her mother is her backup ride. Okay. Want me to get your mom to give me a ride to Target so you can take my stuff into the back room and her mom and your mom don't get into it? Yay or nay? Wait a bit though. Okay. How long? Until there's a clue on when she's leaving. She admitted to me when she lived at those apartments and she was sober then. She admitted to me also back when I first met her calling you crazy. What are you talking about? >> I don't know. That's not me. >> That's not you. >> That's not me. >> Who is it? >> That's the other phone that's been they they were being used to message back and forth. >> Isaac, this is getting really weird, man. I have a second phone. >> You have a second phone? >> Yes. >> Where is that phone? >> That's at the house. >> Okay. >> It is logged into the same Facebook account. >> Okay. Um I don't know, man. These these messages look a lot like there's some conspiring going on, some planning going on. >> What? >> From that point where I was telling you from >> even before then it sounds like you guys are planning something. You're fake getting thrown out and what >> I say fake getting thrown out like Bishop was what I mean when I say fake getting thrown out is she'll tell me to leave so tell me that I'm getting thrown off getting kicked out and 5 days later she's like come back do you want to start over cuz I'm I'm really confused with everything that's going on like you're telling me you have two phones now and those other messages aren't you and it it's what you're telling me, your statement isn't lining up with these messages. Now, I told you at the beginning of this talk that we need to be we need to be truthful with this, right? >> Yes, I am being truthful. I do have a secondary phone and I'm telling you the messages are not me. Those are not my messages. >> Whose messages do you think they are then? They're from Kiara to using my Facebook from me to Kiara. But I can't quite explain how it looks. >> Kiara to Kiara. >> Yes. >> Why would she do that? >> She's been, like I said at the beginning, I was a part of a domestic violence case. >> Yeah. And um go get the charter, please. >> Case of what? um it involved her, but before that there was problems in our relationship and ever since before that she's been trying to get revenge and she's been talking to the people to she's she's told me that she's wanted to ruin my life and she's wanted to ruin my life for a while. Mhm. >> So, and I'm being honest, there is two phones. The other phone is on top of the fridge in the the garage. >> In the garage. Okay. What kind of phone is it? >> Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus 512 GB. Has a clear case on it. Okay. I got some follow-up questions for you um regarding some of the other things that we had talked about. I just want to clarify some of the I kind of was looking through our statement and I just want to kind of clear up some of the haziness that I have. Um so Grace spends the night last night, right? >> Yes. >> What are the sleeping arrangements like? >> We were all sharing the same bed. >> You were all sharing the same bed. Who was sleeping where in the bed? >> Grace was right here facing the garage door. >> Okay. the big garage door. >> Okay. >> Um Carol was this way facing the little fridge, mini fridge, and I was at the foot of the bed. >> I was at the foot of the bed. >> Say that one more time. >> I was at the foot of the fridge. >> Yeah. But the Where were the other two? >> Grace was facing the the garage door. >> Okay. >> Kiara was facing the mini fridge. >> Okay. >> And I was at the foot of the bed. >> Okay. Um, and I remember earlier you talking about how um you used to date Grace. >> Yes. >> Up until when? >> It would have been January, February, March. April. That was last. >> April of what year? >> 2018. >> Okay. And between April and 2018 and yesterday, had you had any contact with Grace? I did have contact with her and it was just like on and off. >> What kind of contact? >> Like, hey, how's it going? Like, how's your job going? And stuff like that. >> Okay. Any any meetings, any any sex, anything like that? >> No. >> No. Okay. Um, what about Kiara? Kiara and Grace, they used to date at some point, right? >> Yes. >> After they broke up, did they have any contact with each other that you know about? >> Yes. >> Yeah. They kind of got uh well, Kiara got me thrown in the middle of a whole heated debate, an argument about um >> I don't know, some incident that happened between them in their relationship and that was just like keep me out of it. >> When was that? >> Uh it started 2019, stemmed into 2020, 2021 and today. >> Okay. >> All the way to today. And that argument I didn't want to be a part of because I'm the kind of guy that's like going peaceful. >> Mhm. >> Not argumentative. >> Sure. Um, was there any uh sexual interaction between anyone last night? >> No. >> No threesome or nothing like that between the three of you guys? >> No. >> Has that ever been anything you guys have ever done in the past? Thought about doing it. Uh that did happen in the past and >> who was involved. >> It was first Kiara and this girl named Alex Lopez. >> Okay. >> And they were consenting to have a lesbian thing. >> Mhm. >> And then they called me to the room and I was like, "Okay, cool." and I could come back to the room, probably watch TV and they pressured me into getting involved with them. >> You didn't want to? >> Correct. >> Okay. >> And afterwards, after everything was done, I did not feel the same. I felt >> um I was peer pressured pressured. >> Mhm. >> And I was pressured into a corner. Figured not figurative literally been into a corner to do this >> to do a threesome. >> Yes. >> Okay. What about last night? >> There was no threesome. There was no sex. Nothing else. >> Was that ever on the table? No. >> Okay. Was there anything romantic going on between you and Grace? >> No. >> What about between Grace and your fianceé? >> Um I I don't know. >> You don't know? Was Kiara okay? Was Grace coming over last night? >> She was all right. She was all text me when she's here. Please text me when she was here. >> So she wanted to. >> So So what happened? I'm we're missing something somewhere to where Kiara is okay with Grace coming over. You have a prior relationship with her. Kiara has prior relationship with her. And then the morning comes and Kiara wants you both out. What happened? Help me understand. >> Don't think about it. Just tell me what happened. >> She She just wasn't in the mood. >> Who wasn't in the mood? >> Kiara. She wasn't in the mood. >> The mood for what? >> For us being there. >> For who being there? >> Me, Isaac, and Grace. >> Why? >> Because she felt as if we were walking all over her. >> Why? Cuz she's okay with you inviting her over. She was excited about it is what you just told me. So, what changed that she feels like you guys are walking all over her? >> I don't know. You don't know? >> I don't know. >> What all did you guys do last night? You guys said you were having fun, having a good time. Tell me more about last night. >> We were having fun talking, listening to music, then we listen to music on the TV. >> Any alcohol or any drugs? >> No. >> No. Are there any alcohol or drugs in the garage? >> No. >> No. Any alcohol or drugs used by anyone this morning? >> No. >> No. Do you ever drink alcohol or use drugs? I can't touch alcohol or drugs because of probation. >> Oh, you're on probation. >> And if slips in my system, game over. >> Yeah. What are you on probation for? >> Um trespassing and committing a $1,000 worth of property damage. >> What? Where at? >> Yes, uh it was because this is going to sound stupid, but sound smart. >> Judging. What happened? >> We were staying at somebody's house. And uh this person we were staying in it decided to steal a Nintendo Switch. >> I took it upon myself to become Conan the Barbarian and go over there really pissed off and angry and I busted down the door asking for my Nintendo Switch and that was it. I didn't want anything else like no money, nothing nothing of these people that these people had. >> Conan the Barbarian. What do you What do you mean by that? Um, >> I get the reference, but what were you doing? >> I ripped the door off the hinges. >> Okay. >> From the outside in. >> Were you armed? >> No. >> So, I was imagining like a sword or something cone in the Okay. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Um, when that happened. >> So, you're on probation for that? >> Yes. >> When did that happen? >> That happened in Jul June June or July 28th. I can't remember which. June 28th. >> June 28th this year. >> Yes. >> Cuz I remember July 28th being my sister birthday. >> From from what you're telling me about last night with you and Kiara, is there a history of domestic violence between you two? >> There is a history of domestic violence. Yes. >> Tell me about some of that. Um, the first act of domestic violence was towards me. >> Mhm. >> And we were living at a friend's apartment. His name was Sean. I can't think of his last name, but he's a bigger bigger fellow. >> Sure. >> And um I was talking to cuz at the time me and her split up and she came over to live with us as roommates. I was talking to my girlfriend at the time. Her name was Jana. And as I was talking to her, Kiara came swung at me once, swung it twice, and then kicked me. >> I pushed her away. >> To get away from it, and then she kicked me in the groin. >> Mhm. >> How old are you? >> 2020. >> Last night, you're describing weapons. Has there ever been domestic violence involving weapons before? >> Yes. >> How many times? >> Three. >> Okay. What kind of weapons? >> Knives. >> Knives. Similar to like what happened last night? >> Yes. >> From Kiara towards you? >> Yes. >> What's her fascination with weapons and threatening you? >> Uh, she wants to see if I'm scared. >> If you're scared, why? >> Because um, everybody knows me as a big jolly green giant. I'm >> I could see that >> I'm very peaceful. I'm like the kind of guy that'll be like, "Hey, what's up?" >> Shake your head friendly. >> Uh give you a hug. >> Yeah. >> I'm also the kind of guy that like if I don't know you, don't hug me cuz I'm a germaphobe. >> Oh, okay. >> But she wants to see if she can she somebody I guess that told her about my past. Well, that somebody was my sister that I could be a angry person. >> She wanted to get you angry. Yes. >> Why? >> To see what kind of a reaction would come of it. And I I've been bottling my anger and turning it into the one thing that I love doing is instead of using anger and hate. >> Mhm. >> Love and peace. >> Yep. >> That's my thing. Anytime somebody is angry, I bring in that energy and I return it back as a positive. >> Gotcha. Is there anything sexual behind this weapon fascination that Kiara has? Do you guys ever use weapons during sex or anything like that? >> No. >> No. >> I'm actually terrified of anything about >> Yeah. >> Especially since I had another friend, this is going to go completely off topic, but another friend of mine stole some knives from me. >> Mhm. >> And this is when I could have knives. >> Yeah. And she had put in the journal a walk of my hair and a story about how she wanted to have some kind of act with me while slicing my throat. >> And I was like, "Okay, we're done with the weapons." >> Yeah, I could see that. >> So So back to Grace. You had to talk to Grace for for a little while, right? Just off and on. >> Yes. What made her comfortable to message you last night and want to come over? >> She thought I could be a safe place, that I was a safe person because she she said herself that she was unsafe in Albuquerque >> and she knew Kiara was going to be there. >> Yes. >> How did she know Kiara was going to be there? I had told her, >> going back to talking about Kiara last night and her threatening you with a knife, you described her kind of putting the knife in your face. >> Yes. >> Right. >> Was she saying anything to you when she was doing this? >> Are you scared of me? >> Yeah. Just like that. What if I dragged it deeper? >> And I was like, "Please stop. Please stop. Please stop." And I yelled about four times. And the word stop does nothing towards her. >> Is that before got there? >> Yes. >> It's like if take for instance for example, you told me to stop and I just kept pursuing you. That's basically what that is basically what I remember. It is it was a non-stop pursuit of trying to scare me. >> Mhm. >> It's probably a little bit 3:44 a.m. That was this morning. >> Yes. >> Okay, let's back up a little more then. Man, you guys message a lot. So, all these other messages above where you said those weren't your messages. The rest of these messages are you, right? Yes. This is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Okay, we'll start here. Friday at 6:28 p.m. So, that would have been yesterday. Are you wanting to go to the store with me? She says, "Kiara, I want to stay home." He says, "I love you back. Now Kira says, "Have her drop off her shot in the cat and then go to the park. My mom is up ATM. I need a quick escape. I'm going to go to the porch. Avoid the porch." Did y'all just get to the garage? Stay in the back room. I'm already on the porch with the door locked. What's going on? I'm thinking to head to the park. Okay. I'll let you know when I get there. Then you head there. I'll head there shortly. She's with you. Yes, I'm here. Yes, we're talking. But we will head there shortly. What does the mushroom mean? Whenever she sends you a mushroom, >> it's supposed to mean like um like a mushroom fairy thing that she sends. >> A mushroom fairy thing. >> Yeah. >> What's the meaning behind it though? >> I do not know. You don't know. I've tried to figure it out over time, but I cannot figure out what it means cuz it's always a different meaning. >> Okay. I'm sitting at the table. Make it seem as though you promised to meet with a friend. I'm going to call you and act like you almost forgot. Maybe I should just come home and scare her on board right now. Should I just come home and go into my room and freak her the [ __ ] out? What's going on there? What is she talking about? Last night she dressed up with a garb and she had the sword and everything on her and she was walking around the park. >> Okay. >> In the middle of the night. >> Okay. >> And what? >> And after when he said that like she wanted to freak her out, I just told her, "Well, just come talk to her. I want I wanted everything to just get squashed. I wanted it to all end. >> Why should I bother talking to her? So, it almost seems like Kiara knows she's there, but it doesn't sound like Grace knows anything about Kiara. >> She uh Grace knew that Kiara was there. >> Kiara was where? >> In the main house. >> Okay. Um, so then how is how is she going to surprise her then? How is she going to come home and scare her? Like what do you what >> she was going she was coming up to the house with her garb and her sword and everything like that. >> Sounds like a fantastical tale, but she came up to she was coming up going to come up. Apparently, she said that she was coming with her sword and then she was going to come in there and she wanted to also kill me. And she said that over the phone on a phone call. Okay. You coming to me or I'm coming to you. Why should I bother talking to her? That's all Kiara. Then you say, "You come to me. I told her you want to talk to her and no arguing. I'm angry, hun." She says, "I don't have anything nice to say." You say, "I know, but be kind with your words." Like when me and you talk instead of violence. Show compassion. She says, "Thumbs up." You're too nice to make me feel good right now. Get her to talk. Not just fun stuff. I have things I want to talk about, but she's not going to respond. Well, she's never been the one to listen. Get her to talk so I have somewhere I can butt in. What is all this? What's going on when she's saying all this? >> We were talking and as it was just at that moment right there, I was the one talking, doing all the talking. So, you guys are already back in the groin at this point. All of you? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I was doing all the talking and I was telling her if you talk, will you please tell her what you got to say? >> What What do they have to say? I want to play a couple songs, but I don't know how to talk. I'm uncomfortable. Lay your head on me, brat. Go in the house for a bit. What is going on? Trust me. Just go inside for a bit. Just say you need the bathroom. Okay. And now we're at 3:00 a.m. Hey, can I come back? I don't know. Can you? Yes. Dagger because it's blunt. What does that mean? Um, >> why are you telling her dagger because it's blunt? >> She was ask she asked me a question in the room like what what is the difference between the dagger and the sword? >> Okay. >> And I message dagger because it's >> why is blunt better? Yes, you're in charge of cleanup. Okay. I can't tell if she's falling asleep. It feels like it. Her feet are on my side. I wish you'd make the first move for once. Remember, you'll move up the ranks. Plus, you get perks in the black market since this is your first. Your first what? >> Isaac, what the hell happened? Tell me what happened for real. Can we stop making up lies about these messages? What the hell happened last night? >> She was messaging me on planning on how to kill her. I just wanted to sleep. That's what I >> Are you sure? Cuz this sounds like you're planning something with Kiara. Is that what's happening? Don't lie to me. What's happening here? I can see the messages. I'm not dumb. This isn't the first time I've done this. What is happening? >> She was planning on killing Grace. I just didn't want a part of it. >> It doesn't seem like you're trying to talk her out of it. And when it comes to the stuff as I'm as I'm talking telling you she I was only sending message back in agreeance as I turned my back towards >> this isn't agreeance remember you'll move up in ranks plus you get perks in the black market since this is your first this sounds like you're encouraging her >> right >> the messages are here dude >> I know I I know right After that, I was trying to fall asleep cuz I didn't want to be a part of anything. >> We're going to keep going through these messages. Tell me since now. Did you help Kiara do this? >> No. >> No. But you knew it was going to happen. >> I knew it was it was going to happen. >> You knew it was going to happen since since last night. >> I knew it was going to happen since last night, but I just didn't want it to happen because it's a friend of mine. >> When did this plan start? And that's the opportunity for this. >> I didn't see it as an opportunity. I saw it as an opportunity. More like let's squash everything. >> Then why are you saying you'll make it up the ranks plus your perks in the black market since this is your first? Cuz you're talking about killing her here, right? >> I was. >> What else could this mean? Remember, you'll move up in the ranks. Plus, you get perks in the black market. Since this is your first, what else would you be talking about here? >> I was trying to talk about something else cuz I'm trying to get my mind off. >> Isaac, really? You're trying to talk about something else there? >> Yes. And I'm not. >> How do I aim? How do I aim? Right. Just aim. What was that? >> She concocted that she was going to kill Grace. >> Okay. >> And she wanted to do it alone. >> Okay. >> That was the ocean plan. >> She hurt you and had sold you into sex trade. Had you not flown out after the crash, she would have gone away with making you disappear. Keep going. She is still lying about a lot and she's not willing to admit that she is the biggest piece of [ __ ] Keep going. She makes you feel horrible for your skin color and your beliefs. I'm going to pretend to sleep so it looks nonconspicuous. [Music] Tell me about all that. Reject that one. I had plugged in my phone for the night and my phone this phone right here would have been on the opposite side of the bed. charging by Kiara. >> And what >> I >> Oh, these aren't your messages either. >> Those are not my messages cuz >> Help me. Just do it. Be ready to grab her or a trash bag. She is your list. If you can't do it, I'll place a on her for you to watch. Want me to do that? This ends now. I'm getting a sword. I can get Christian to help and Chris. This ends now. I know. Dagger cuz the sword will need to be hidden. She is awake. I don't know if I have the strength. Her phone screen is dim. Also, if you can't do it, I'll have them do it and it will still count as your first. I'll just rewrite the report and submit it to the black market heads. What is this report you're going to write to the black market heads? What are you talking about? Don't tell me this isn't you messaging. I know this is you messaging. >> Be trans be transparent and tell me what's going on here. >> I could tell this is really eating away at you that you're having to think of your way around all this stuff. Just tell us the truth of what's happening. >> The report with the black market heads was something I have been writing down and I'm trying to leave. It was something I was going to I'm trying to leave behind. >> Tell me more about that. >> Um, it was a group of dangerous people that I was associated with. Um, and they they needed a report. And when I said this was your first on the report, it'll still count as your first. I was like I was telling her cuz as I was texting it out, she came and talked to me after she had stopped me. She had talked to me and said, "Um, so what now?" And I was like, "This this is going to be your first uh way out if you just leave this alone. just stop. >> Oh, you were telling her just to stop? >> Yes. >> And >> she didn't listen. >> Okay. And I was going to submit a report and saying, "Hey, this this needs to end." And I already had the report and everything written up. But it says here, you're going to write the report and submit it back. That it's her first. Her first what? >> Her first way out. >> Her first way out. >> Yes. Cuz right after I said her first. >> What? You're telling her dagger cuz the sword will need to be hidden. So you're telling me here that you're telling her it's her way out. But this to me reads like you're telling her her first kill. >> It sounds like that. what I was telling her cuz she walked not walk she leaned over like this to talk to me on the bed. >> Yeah. >> And I told her this will be your first way out if you just leave it alone. >> And if you can't do it, I'll have them do it. You'll have who do it? If you're talking about a way out, how is someone else going to give her a way out? >> I was going to I was actually I actually contacted a friend named Christian. >> Uhhuh. >> And they already had a ride and everything. They were going to pick up Grace and take her >> and they would kill her. >> No, they were going to take her to their house >> and it'll still count as your first. >> Okay. I don't think the dagger will go through both hoodies. So, she's still talking about killing her. I'm willing to falsify your first. Kiara, let me do this. I'm using Zer. What's Zer? >> That's the sword. >> Oh, Zer's the name of the sword. >> Yes. >> And then you say, "And deposit your Bitcoin in your crypto wallet." >> Payment. Some kind of payment. Bitcoin. Show me the ropes." >> What is she talking about? Show me the ropes. >> She was asking me to help her do what she wanted to do to Grace and >> I didn't want a part of it. Well, what you say here is I am saying just swing and don't regret the aim. So, tell me tell me what that means. Just swing and don't regret the aim. >> It was me telling her if she was going to do something, she should do it. And I didn't want I didn't want to be a part of it. I have my I had all my stuff. >> What is holding you back? Type it. You're edging her to do this. Come on, Isaac. Isaac, look at all these messages, man. You're gonna sit here and tell me. You're gonna look me in the eye and you're gonna tell me that you were trying to talk her out of this. I can see right here you're telling her to do it. What the hell happened last night, man? Why did you want her to do this? >> I didn't want her to do this. >> Why are you pushing her to do this? I was trying to as the messages were going through, she kept coming back and forth to talk to me and the messages were going through and I was just like, I had enough. I'm done. Like hope, love, [ __ ] You say, well, at what percentage are they? She says, I don't know. You say you still love her. You have hope in her. And you tired of the [ __ ] she put you through. She says, "I want to break her heart. She hurt me more while you were out." You said, "How?" Then target Jackson. Who's Jackson? And why are you telling her to target Jackson? >> I told her to target Jackson into asking Jackson what happened. Why she's asking people to stay at people's house? >> She says once it's done, there's no one doing it. You say, "Okay." You say, "Want the barn?" Cuz you'll get to have a lot of fun with your hunt. And the screams cannot be heard. Soundproof walls. What screams cannot be heard? What soundproof walls? >> I started talking about a joke. A movie kind. >> Oh, this is about a movie now. >> This is a movie. >> Okay. Middle of nowhere. Okay. >> There is a movie called The Barn. And it's a stupid horror film that I was watching. >> Gotcha. But what are you referring to when you say all this in the context of the conversation? >> I'm referring to the movie. >> You're referring to the movie >> cuz she came back to lean over like, "What do you mean by the barn?" Like, "Oh, movie I watched." >> She says, "I need this done now. I need that push, but first I need to pee." You say, "Pe." She says, "I'm so cold." You say, "I know." If you want the barn situated right with your tools, just say yes. She says, "Please help me now." You say you can do it, Abby. Durga Puggle, if you want me set the barn up, I'll be going Wednesday after probation. She says, "Now you send text." She says, "I just wish my blankets weren't in the way and her cats." You say, "I know, [ __ ] I forgot she had her cats." How did she hurt you, Puggy? Your DLDD is kicking up. Just stop. We'll do the barn for you. You'll also get paid there. >> So, is there another location where this possibly was going to happen? >> No. >> It's sounding like you're talking about a barn and she'll get paid there. What do you mean? >> It was referring to the movie and the part about paying her was to shut her up. She says, "Can you get hard?" You say, "Maybe." She says, "Fuck her." Or, "Hold her down flat on her back for me." You say, "Is she wearing pants?" Or she says, "Shorts." You un sent a message unders. She says, "I don't know. I doubt it to be honest. I want to scare her by popping a balloon by her ear." You said, "Oh god." Laugh my ass off. She says, "Should I?" You say, "Maybe." She says, "This isn't helping." She says, "What?" She says, "Do something." You say, "Let's give her false sense of security and I'll set the barn up." It is the hell tunnel. You also say, "I'm trying to figure this out. Would y'all be able to meet me at the mall tomorrow after 8? I'll do it." She said she's fake sleeping. You said yes. I'm going to take her elsewhere, so be ready Wednesday around 1:00 p.m. She says, "CPTSD episode." You say, "Close your eyes. This is not good for you. Put on rain sounds. She says if she's faking, make it seem like we're fighting and fake hurt me. The episode is real. Bit used to advantages. You say CPTTSD will make you flip out. I can actually give you a stroke cuz when it flares, you twitch. She says it's okay. Trust me. You said you will lose mobility to your right side of your body. What's CPTSSD? chronic post-traumatic stress disorder. >> Okay. She says, "I'll be okay. Let's do this and have her get hurt in the process." You say, "How does she get hurt?" She says, "Bring out the knife and miss me." Bring out the knife and miss her. Not yet. Put the knife away or go through with it. Start fighting me. Start beating her. Please have her here is already a trigger. Even hearing her name and seeing her face. You say, "Why don't you hit me while I fake sleep?" She says, "Make a worse bad guy." No thanks. Not really. You say, "I'm trying to figure out how to bring him out." Bring out the Hulk. >> Yeah, it's the anger side. >> Why do you want to bring out the anger side? I didn't want to. >> It says here, "I'm trying to figure out how to bring him out." >> I was under the covers and just sitting still. I was under the blankets. >> She says, "This is pointless. You won't do it no matter how many opportunities you have." You say, "Puggy." She says, "You don't love me. I get it. No one does." You say, "Hit me." She says, "My right leg is out of commission." There goes the spasm again. You said, "Why is it a vibrator?" She says, "lol. Do something." "Ow." "Not to me, shithead." You say, "Shithead, we fake fighting." She says, "It actually hurts though." She says, "I give up. There's no point in trying anymore." You say, "Voodoo is pissing them off." She says, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. You won't do anything and I physically can't. You have no clue how much this hurts." You say, "The list for you was made specifically for you." You're talking about her going to sleep? >> Yes. I just need help is what she says. You were doing nothing again. She says you say yes I want to help but I cannot aid you. I can coach you what to do. We're the cops. We're detectives. We're going to go through every every inch of everything of all your phones, social media. We're going to we're going to interview people. We're going to figure out everything that happened here. You You understand? That's where we're at, right? >> Yes. >> Things will be a lot better for you moving on. If you just come out and you cooperate and you tell us everything that happened, tell us the truth. Tell us everything. It'll be better for you. Would >> I be able to talk to you privately? >> Yes. You want her to leave? Uh, >> yes. >> All right. Okay. Tell me what happened, man. Clear your conscience. What happened? >> Don't think about it. Just put it all out there. Tell me what happened. You'll feel better. >> I'm not thinking. It's just I was asked to help quite a bit in those messages. >> Yes, you were. >> And I didn't want to help. I didn't want to help. I didn't want to help. Simple fact that it was my friend. So, I had found I was trying to find a plausible alternative to get her out of there to safety. And that was when I called my friend Chris and Kristen. They were right in the neighborhood. Mhm. And they were like, "Well, let's get us let's get the area set up for her to go over." And after that, I started sending me I sent some messages back to make it sound like I was doing something stupid, but I didn't I didn't plan on intending it to happen. Well, what about all the messages where you're clearly egging her on? You're And you could tell me you're talking about something else. You're referencing movies. I don't >> The alarm is actually a reference to That's the only one that I'm going to say. >> Let's We'll give you that one. We'll give you the benefit of the doubt on that one. But all the other ones that you were saying you meant something else, come on, Isaac. Come on. You know you were talking about something else, right? >> Yes. >> You know you were. So, if you're going to sit here and tell me that you didn't you didn't want this to happen, that you were trying to talk her out of it, push her away from it, the messages, don't say that, man. So, so tell me what really happened. What What's the point of all this? Why did this happen? >> The point was that >> it's over, Isaac. It's over. Look at me. Look at me. It's over, dude. It's over. What you can do from here on out is be truthful and help us understand why this happened. Mistakes happen, dude. You need to own it. Tell me everything. Don't sugarcoat it. Don't [ __ ] it. Tell me everything. Can agree I made a mistake texting back how I sounded. I can agree that she wanted me to help and it sound like I wanted to help. I didn't want to help. >> You didn't want to help? >> No. >> But you wanted her to do it. She She wanted to do it the whole time. And I didn't >> Did you want Kiara? >> No. >> You did not want her to kill her? >> No. >> What did you want? I wanted a peaceful resolve. >> So, what about all those messages where you're pushing her towards it? That wasn't a peaceful resolve. If I had looked up a stream of messages and it's you telling her, "No, be peaceful. Don't do it. Chill. Put the knife away. Why are you being like this?" That's that's understandable. That's reasonable. That's in line with what you're telling me. Do you want to go through all those messages again? We sure can. And I and I can see if if you can come up with the same lies again. Do you want to do that? >> No. >> Then stop telling me you wanted a peaceful resolve when we know you did it and tell me what happened. >> Why were you guys doing what you were doing? >> I was doing it out of the kindness of my heart to sit. Cuz she needed a place to stay. >> Yeah. >> And her mom called me. >> Let's fast forward to later on to when you guys are plotting and scheming. Why were you guys doing that? What's the point? point was she wanted to she Kiara was already talking about this quite frequently. >> Okay. about killing people and [Music] I she had talked about killing me, her mom, um Grace, there's a kid named Sebastian, there's a kid named Aussie, there's a kid named Brady. The list goes on. >> Is that the list that you were referring to in the messages? >> No. >> No, >> that was a grocery list. >> That was a grocery list. >> Yes. Okay. >> But and all I'm saying is she wanted to start killing people. I didn't want to be a part of it. I don't want to be a part of anybody who kills. >> But you were a part of it last night, >> right? >> I understand. >> Were you or were you not? Look at all the messages you were telling her. I was a part of the message sounding schemage and plotty kind of feel. I don't know how to say words now. I was a part of those messages. What else? What else can you tell me? What time did this actually happen at? >> What time did the killing actually happen at? >> 12 47. >> It didn't happen when you went to go pee, did it? >> It happened when I went to go pee. So, like you said earlier, everything was cool. You went to go pee, came back, and she killed her just like that. And you were surprised that she did it. >> I was just like, uh, what do I do from here? >> You hadn't thought that far. >> What do I do from here? And she's all we'll dispose. I'm going to get Al and me, Al and Kiara. we're going to get together to dispose of the body. And I was like, "Oh, no." >> You thought, "Oh, no." >> I I thought, "Oh, no." >> But you're messaging her throughout the the whole night talking about this happening, talking about stabbing her and wait till she's asleep and you're egging her on, but then this happens and you're like, "Oh no. Yeah, I've seen the garage, right? I've seen I've seen what it looks like. I don't think that happened in the 30 seconds to 2 minutes that it took you to go inside and pee. There's a lot of injuries. There is what it looks like. >> I was not involved with any of it. I was inside the house. to pee. Was inside the house to pee. >> What's Kiara going to tell me? Cuz you know I'm going to talk to her. >> I have I don't know what she's going to tell you. >> Have you been truthful to me this whole time? >> I have tried to be truthful. >> You've tried to be truthful, but you haven't the whole time, right? You've you've sprinkled some lies in there and there. Can you at least give me the respect of that? >> Yes. >> Why? >> Cuz I'm an idiot. >> What do you mean? >> I'm some dumb ass. >> You're not dumbass. Don't put yourself down. >> It's all that everybody calls me. Isaac, I'm not calling you that right now. I think I think you're making a mistake. >> I know you you don't call me that, but everybody calls me that. Everybody calls me dumbass or idiot. >> Is it true? >> Do you Do you feel you're a dumbass or you're an idiot? >> I don't. >> Then who cares what people say, man? You know what I think? You know what I think, Isaac? I think you made a mistake. That's all I think. I think you made a mistake last night and today. >> Only thing I want to do is go with my mom and dad. >> Okay. Well, before we get to that point, I would like the truth from you. The full truth. Are you ready to give that to me? >> Yes. >> Hit it. Say it all. Don't censor it. Tell me everything that happened. >> Those messages were me telling her how to plan it out. >> Yes. >> What? >> And when I in throughout the night I was getting prodded. >> Uhhuh. We got told to leave. I was told to leave. So was Grace. And I started packing my bags. When I finished packing, I had hopes. Came back. There was a dead person in there. Grace. Well, it seemed dead. Mhm. And from there, [Music] all I decided to do was call my mom cuz my mom's my safe spot. My mom's the only person that I really can go to. I did something stupid. I parttook in being involved in some stupid text messages and I'm dumbass. I'm the idiot. That's me being truthful, sir. Did you want this to happen to Grace? >> I do not want it to happen to Grace. >> So then why all the messages last night? >> I wanted it to happen to me. >> Well, your messages didn't say that. >> I wanted it to happen to me. Um, I don't I don't I don't know if you if you know, but I've been going through a lot lately. >> You were telling me you've had some friends pass away. And >> I also used to have a job at Rude 21 as manager. >> Some girls can uh some girls made a statement saying that I committed sexual assault and sexual harassment towards them and I never worked with these girls. The store manager there, he was I caught him stealing money and u my district manager said if anything happens just report it to me. >> Mhm. So, say um take for instance, imaginary Bob over here. He's stealing money and you're you're the district manager. Can you tell me to report? >> Yeah. >> Imaginary Bob is store manager and you're reporting what's going on, the loss and the loss and shrinkage that's going on. Is reporting to you what is going on a good thing? Would me giving you reports on the bank like bank bags and money that is being taken? >> Yeah, sure. So when does it turn into the fact that based on your criminal background that automatically you did it? >> It's a tough question. >> That's how I lost my job >> was based on my criminal background. >> So that's kind of added to all this that's happened. I see. We're going to take a few minutes. Okay. I know these interviews can kind of sometimes get a little stressful and stuff. Okay. I'll be back in the right wallet. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah, we have it. Same tight. Whose number group is 971-3810111? >> That is Kiara's. >> That's Kiara's. Okay. What do you mean here when you say that huggle I am wanting you to kill her? You have to end your suffering by ending your her joy. I want to show you just end it up and I do mean what it means in that text. >> You meant what it says in that text. >> Yes. >> Why? >> Come on, man. Help me help me make sense of all this. Do you? She was bringing he was bringing great suffering to Kiara. And >> who was >> Grace? >> Grace was bringing great suffering to Kiara. >> Yes. >> And that's why you wanted Kiara to kill Grace. >> Not just >> What do you mean not just? Um, something that I hate to do this to you a little, but Kiara was actually a part of the back in 2017. Would you be able to post the board so I could tell you this? >> Sure. back in 2017 as they were going out. Grace decided >> to run decided to sell Kiara. >> I saw that the messages >> into sex. >> Mhm. And that is actually actually how Kiara lost her virginity. >> It was by force. >> I see. >> She had reported the report to Santa Police Department and they had actually done nothing. And with that text messages I just meant that what I said. So did you want Grace dead kind of because of all that? >> I did. Okay. >> It's understandable. I don't like it when people hurt people. I could tell. >> And I when I said I hate to bring it down on y'all. It's not you guys as the individuals. It's the people at that time. >> Yeah. >> They did nothing about it. And I had to sit there with a detective that was like, "Oh, all we can do is just keep an eye out for these people." >> It didn't f I still don't think all this happened in the time you went to OP. Did you watch this happen? >> I did not watch this happen. >> You helped? >> No. >> Would you have helped had you had the opportunity? >> No. >> But you did want Kiara to kill Grace. So, had it happened in front of you, would you allowed it to happen? >> No. >> But you wanted it to happen. I wouldn't have allowed it if it happened in front of me. I would have if it was started exactly like I thought it exactly how people thought it would have started. I would have just separated the two. And technically, this is the stupidest thing I say to myself and I'll probably say it too to mean that I'm saying something stupid about myself. I'm the human punching bag. I take I take everybody's hits. Okay. >> I also need the bath, but I don't >> I'll have a guy take you out. You feel a little bit better now that we kind of >> got it all out. It sucks when you kind of keep things done like that. You know, part of healing is >> being honest and let everything out. >> Part of healing is being honest, letting everything out. Just another demon in my closet that I got to fight. We all have those, right? They're just in different forms. >> I have three emails that I don't like. One came in the form of uh people when they was I was a dumbass kid. >> Just put it like that. We were all dumb ass kids when we were little. Um, I decided to steal from Walmart and never be able to do that cuz now a lot of kids look up to me and it's like, "No, >> you don't want to have a platform." Hold on one second. Just wait there. [Music] >> Uh, yeah. Just take him over here. Put my handcuffs in his front, please. upstairs. >> Uh, wherever you want. Yeah. Yeah. Take him downstairs. Just take him to the restroom first. >> Back up here. >> No, we're done. Hold it. Hold it. >> Those canels. >> Uhoh. No idea. Any idea? probably at least a grand or more. >> It's good equipment. [Music] >> Are we going to wait till they get out and then we'll be >> This is the >> Yeah, let's put him in the cellar. When she comes out, we'll put her back in the cell. Just hold her over there for >> Yeah, sure. [Applause] I can tell you guys a story about being in here. >> Oh, yeah. >> You've been in here before? >> Yes. I was in here with a guy that was like higher than a kite off of uh methampetamine. >> How long ago was this? >> 2016 16. You looked super familiar and I thought that from the first time I talked to you. It might have been from where you said you worked at. But yeah, maybe it's from something like that, too. >> What happened was um the officer at the time said I concealed identity. He saw my ID and everything, had my name. I guess he just wanted me to verbally say my name. >> I was in here and there was a meth addict, a guy that was high right there. And we got up and I said, "I need to pee." a yanked a broke thing right there. >> And it made like everybody laugh in there because they saw the video like, "Oh my god, what did I do?" >> Hey, Isaac, you you know it's illegal to plan killing someone, right? >> Yes. >> There's got to be a little bit of accountability for that. You understand that, right? So, uh we are going to file paperwork. You are going to go to jail tonight. Okay. Um, we we had a lengthy talk tonight. You know, just because there's a little bit of consequence for what happened doesn't mean it needs to dictate who you are in the future. Do you understand what I'm saying? >> Yes. >> Take this as a lesson. You did something wrong. You yourself said you made a mistake. It is what it is. Okay. Okay. If I have any other questions, I'll come down and talk to you. Okay. >> All right. >> All right. You're welcome. Hello. >> Good morning. Is this Miss uh Linda Mononttoya? >> Montoya. Yeah. >> Hi, this is Detective Javadby Hill with the San Fe Police Department. How are you this morning? >> Right now, I'm in tears. >> Yeah, I uh I want to first off apologize for no one contacting you last night. Um that got kind of mixed up in translation of who was going to call you or who's going to touch base with you. Um, so I want to take responsibility for that cuz I'm the lead investigator on the case. Um, I I imagine you you saw the news or heard the news of your son getting charged. >> Why? >> Well, it's an active investigation, so I I can't give you too many of the details because um it's still >> I can give you the details when he told me yesterday what he saw. Yeah, I uh I interviewed him yesterday for probably somewhere around three hours. Um and during the course >> girlfriend has a violent history. >> His girlfriend has a violent history knives trying to stab people. >> Yeah. The balls disrespecting people, threatening people. But yes, she's out of jail. >> Yeah, she's she's in jail, too. They both got charged. No, >> they both got charged. >> They both got charged. that she got charged. >> Yeah, they're they're both charged with an open count of uh of of first-degree murder. >> Well, I'm going to read what I told my sisters. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, my son called me. She kicked him out. She wanted him out. So, I He called me, "Mom, dad can come pick me up. I have two bags. They're small." And then I was like, "Okay, but are you still sick?" Cuz they both had I don't know if they had the virus or whatever. >> Mhm. >> And they said, "I have COPD and my mom's in the hospital and she can't get sick and I've been visiting her and my husband can't get sick cuz he has asthma, >> right?" >> So we told him, "No, you have to get a hotel. How much money do you have?" "3,000." He saved. Get a hotel. And then he goes, "Then he calls me back." He goes, "I'll call you later." Right? Then he called me back and he goes, "Oh, she" She goes, "Then he called me saying that that she didn't want him to leave all day. Just half the day." >> Mhm. >> Not fully. That's what he said. >> Mhm. and that he um just wanted him away, >> right? >> So, he wanted to hang out with us and take us off to eat and everything, >> right? >> And I told him, "No, cuz you're sick and I got to go visit grandma. Grandma's in the hospital and she my mom has a liver non-alcohol liver fibrosis and her kidneys are failing. So I I can't go get these, you know, have him be with me and then take you whatever he has, >> right? >> You know. >> Yeah. >> So anyways, he goes, "Well, I'm going into the main house and I'll call you." Okay. He calls me and goes, "Um, mom, I'm in the main house. Um, I'll call you in a while." And then after he called me, he said that, "Mom, I just witnessed something." And he and he wouldn't say anything else. And I kept asking, "What do you see, son?" And he didn't say nothing. He was just quiet. He was shocked. And he he said again, "Mom, I witnessed a murder." And I'm asking, "Who and why?" And I'm like freaking out. And he said, "Killwell killed Grace." >> Mhm. And I asked how. And then he he couldn't say. He was he was so in shock. Then he finally said, um he replied, "Cure killed Grace with the sword I bought her recently." >> Mhm. >> And then my husband who called cops cuz he thought that she murdered one of the animals, >> right? >> Cuz she's done it. she's done in the past. And um so I my husband called an uncle. I'm on one side of the phone and I'm on the other side with my son. And he goes, I want to go get my bag. And I said, no, do not touch anything. That's evidence. And and he was thought, I'm scared of my life, mom. I'm scared of my life. And I said, well, then go somewhere so but let me know where you're at, right? >> So I could let the dispatchers know. And he he was just so scared. He goes on my metro PC. Um, nobody can find me here, but let the police know. And then I said, "Okay." So, I let the police know. And then they they gave him the phone number. The dispatcher, they couldn't get a hold of him, but they finally found him. And then after that, I didn't hear nothing else. >> Yeah. And like I like I said, we we should have had contact with you last night, especially after we uh the decision was made to charge your son. Um the what I can tell you is what's what's public record now, what I filed in the criminal complaint for your son and for um Kiara last night. >> Um would you like to hear this over the phone right now or do you want to meet sometime this week early in the week? >> No, over the phone. >> Over the phone. So hold on. Sure. >> I'm going to put you on my husband. >> Yeah. >> Is that my husband? Cuz >> Are you there? >> Yeah, I'm here. Can you hear me? >> So, this probably isn't going to be easy to hear, but in the interview with uh Isaiah. Um we're about 2 hours into the interview. Um he had a cell phone on him at the time that he was located and detained by law enforcement. >> What did he have? a cell phone. >> His cell phone. >> Yeah, his personal cell phone. So, with these with these kinds of investigations, um especially when phone calls are made, text messages, things like that, there's reason to believe there's evidence on them. So, uh standard procedure um and past precedences is we'll we'll either obtain a search warrant for the cell phone or get get consent from the witness, victim, whoever of the cell phone um to see if there's any messages or data on the cell phone relevant to the investigation. Are you with me so far? >> Yes. So Isaiah gave me consent to search his phone cuz why would he have anything to hide, right? Uh he called 911. So um we got consent for his phone to search it and then I started going through the phone with him through the messages cuz I was trying to understand exactly what happened yesterday too as an investigator. >> Well, as I'm going through the phone with Isaiah, I start >> Isaac, sorry. As I start going the f through the phone with Isaac, Isaac's phone, um I start coming across messages between him and Kiara and uh there are a lot of detailed messages throughout the night of them conspiring to uh kill Grace. So the the the charges that we filed are not done uh on a whim. They're not done for no reason. I understand that he called you and he himself called 911, but there there is other evidence um that suggests he had a hand in this, ma'am. >> Okay. Then I was afraid that that was going to happen. My daughter text me last night and she was telling me that >> that in the past they were threatening while Grace and Carol were threatening each other and >> Yeah. >> and we got involved and and I kept telling them, "Leave it alone, son." >> Yeah. >> Leave her alone. You need to call the claps that this is happening. >> Yeah. So, you're telling me this was planned? >> Yes. >> My husband said he had a feeling it was planned. >> It um again, I'm I'm not going to go into too many of the details. Um >> she said she's a witch. >> Yeah. She she was telling us I'm a witch. >> Yeah. >> And then she we took her one time to church cuz we were Christians, >> right? and and we took her to church with our son. >> We was going back to church and everything. >> We got out. She acted different. My my husband had to yell at her and told her, "You know what? Just for you disrespecting me, you could just walk." >> Yeah. >> But I'm going to be a Christian man to take you home. And at the time that my son had left her, but she kept coming back to him. >> Yeah. the uh the other details in the criminal complaint, which uh should now be public record at this point. Um if you want to if you want to get a copy of it and refer to it, um it's it's pretty it's pretty gruesome everything that that we've uncovered only in the first 24 hours. Um and there's, you know, there there's still more investigating to be done um that's going to follow on within the next few weeks. Um, I have more people I want to talk to in depth, more uh more devices I want to search through just to get the entire picture of what happened. >> Um, but if if you uh if you have time throughout this week, um, you're welcome to come in and I'll meet with you and talk with you for a bit. >> Okay. >> You want to do that? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Uh, is this a good phone number for you, ma'am? >> Yes, this is a good phone number. >> Okay. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Um, did my phone number show up in your caller ID? >> Yeah, it did. >> Okay, go ahead and save this number. This is my uh this is my work number. Um, again, I'm I'm Detective Vehill. Um, I I don't have my phone on on my days off. As a matter of fact, it's my day off today, but you deserve a phone call to know what was going on. Um, so my phone will be off the rest of today and probably tomorrow, but um coming back Tuesday and the rest of the week, I'll be working. if you want to get in touch with me or we'll get in touch with each other Tuesday, Wednesday, we'll see if we can get together and meet. Okay. >> Okay. Thank you so much. >> Okay, guys. You have a you have a good rest of your weekend, right? >> You too. Thank you. >> Bye. >> Off. Nice to meet you. >> All right, let's go back this way. >> I'm like, well, how are they going to know? at the door. >> I have my cousin coming. She's going to text me. >> Oh, she wants to be my support. >> Sure. >> I want smoke. >> That's okay. >> We got to wait in the elevator anyways. >> Yeah, we'll save you in trouble. It's been a long weekend. >> Yeah, it has. It's a warm warm past days for a lot of people. >> Yeah. >> We just got back from the hospital. >> Yeah. >> My mom had a My mom had a stick a catheter. >> Oh, no. >> She's going to start her dialysis. It's our tough week. >> Let's go to our right. >> Uh, we might be able to find one somewhere. Do you need one? >> Yeah. >> Where are the masks? How many do you need? >> Just one. My wife hasn't follow. >> All right. Thanks so much. So, let's come in here, guys. >> Just you know, our policy we have to record all our interactions with everyone. So, we're going to be got some recording going. Let me see if I can mask. Maybe she's >> bring already in here. >> Would you like me to wear a mask? I don't mind wearing a mask if it makes you uncomfortable. >> Here's the sensor. >> Oh, yeah. I don't screen. I want to show us pictures. Are you full name, man? It's Linda. >> Linda Louise Montoya. Do >> you have a driver's license on you? It's a quick information, I guess. >> Um, the address on here is >> Okay. What's your current address >> at the bluffs, huh? >> Yeah. like >> at first it was kind of scary cuz there was like a drive by shooting >> and then we were a >> lot of gang activity over there. >> Not only that, there was like a drug like a guy that was on meth and kept looking for his map and he parked right in front of our window and cameras. Lot of >> neighbors cameras to see us. >> Is the number I have for you a good number? [Music] Well, why don't you tell me um kind of your account of everything that happened the day in the incident? How did you get involved with everything and what all did you do? >> Well, my son came. Well, he didn't come. He called me. Sorry, I'm confused. It's just been a long week. Um, >> and just for the record, it was your son. >> I used to call my doctor. >> Okay. >> And he called to me. He said, "Mom, get me." >> What time did What time did you call that? >> It was at 11:54. >> And then he called, he said, "Mom, come get me. I got two bags, two." And I was like, "Why? What happened? You car got into a fight." Yeah. And he goes, "Well, I don't want to deal with this anymore." And I don't want to deal with her. >> So I was like, "Well, you are you still sick?" cuz they were still sick >> cold or something. >> And he goes, "I still have like a scratchy throat with the feeling like knives." >> And I told him, "Um, you can't come with us because I have health issues and I'm visiting your grandma in the hospital. She has health issues and so does my husband." >> Yeah. >> So, you can't be around us. You know that, Isaac. Why would you ask me? Okay. He got quiet and he goes, "Let me call you back." He called me back. He goes, "I'm in the main house and I'm going to go get my bag." >> What time? >> 20 minutes later. >> 20 minutes later. >> 30 minutes later. >> Okay. >> It was like one like one almost close to 1:40. >> Okay. >> Then he calls and he tells me, "Um, I can show you the text message." >> Yeah. >> He text me and he goes, Um, I sent it to you. What she said? >> Yeah. >> I have it in my pictures cuz I screenshotted it. >> She was a messenger. She had her earplugs on so I couldn't hear. I thought is that I heard my wife said something killed per killed something brought up one of the animals. >> This is what I told. >> So I called the dispatch right away took over. >> Okay. Then I then he called me back when he was scared and frantic. >> May I see? >> Yeah. >> So these were the earlier ones. >> He's in the green message. >> I was going to be there for several hours. Okay. Call me Grace. She wants me gone for a little while. How' that? Okay. Call me and let me know. We talked to you about Kiara. We love you so much. >> What What he What had he said about Kiara at this point? >> He didn't say nothing about Kiara. Then he calls me back and he's freaking out cuz he went into the garage. Saw Kiara killing Grace. >> I thought they meant a dog or something, a cat because I know her to be bite at that. >> Yeah. two. She goes, "No, a human." It's like, "What? What for?" Black. >> Okay. So, so, so the the actual conversation of him saying >> then he calls >> that that was over the phone, not over a message. >> Yeah. And then he called me and he goes, "Mom." And I was like, "What?" And he was all frantic. And I was like, "I just witnessed something." And I was like, "Well, what did you witness?" Cuz I'm freaking out. I'm like, "What's going on? What happened? Somebody okay?" You know, I'm questioning him. And he goes, "I just witnessed Kiara killing Grace with the sword that I had just boughten her recently." >> So, he saw he saw Kiara do it. >> Yes. >> He said he w he he witnessed it. >> I heard that part. >> Yeah. >> He was like yelling. >> I said, "Call the cops. Why come you didn't call the cops? Why you call me?" So my husband, that's what my husband got gave me his phone. I'm with him on this phone >> and I'm with dispatch and I'm letting her know what's going on >> and he's like, I need to go. I need to get my bag. And I was like, you cannot touch anything. That's evidence. >> Yeah. >> You leave it alone. >> She might try to hurt you. >> Or she's going to, you know, and then I said, where are you going? And then she she goes, I'm going somewhere. And I said, you need help. So I could tell this person. So I could, you know, call let dispatch know. So he did. He goes, I'm going to AP wireless. Then I gave dispatch his phone number. She they couldn't call him the first time. I gave the her the description of how he looks. What he was doing, you know, where he's at. And that's when they said they they couldn't call him because he wasn't answering. So then he called and they said we found him. >> Okay. Okay. >> And then from there on it was just like I'm I'm wondering what the world happened. What's going on? >> I can imagine that. >> My heart is pumping. I'm pacing back and forth without my oxygen. I had to grasp my air and then I was like putting on oxygen and I'm like freaking out like what the world. Then I and me and my husband were talking about it. Kira, >> she's a violent girl. We met her the first time. She was sweet, kind, but then she got violent with my husband. We had just them to church and she got she goes, "I'm a witch." >> We went to Bernie and had our lunch and she started acting like a crazy talking about Christ and I said, "I'm a witch. I don't believe in that." I said, "Well, I'm a I believe in Christ, you know, and being evil like that is not right. I got power over you. I'm not afraid of you." >> That's she was, "I'm a witch. I'm a witch. You can't do me nothing." No, I can't do you nothing cuz why would I want to do anything? >> Well, well, and I've just heard bad things about her from people that I know that knew her kicking people on her >> down there with a knife almost stabbed him. She's very violent. They let her out of she's dangerous. >> Yeah. >> She's like missing it up there. >> And uh she she um in April. Well, so my son moved out, broke up with her and then he moved in with a guy named Sean and I was at the Santa uh sistos. She followed him. >> She kept texting him. Every time he tried to leave her, she text him, "I need you. Somebody's in the yard." Somebody scratching the garage. There's somebody screaming outside in the middle of the night. >> Attention. >> Yes. And I told her, I told my son all the time. My sister even said, >> "Don't go back with her. She's dangerous. Why are you going back with her? Why are you believing what she's saying?" >> Cuz I don't believe it. Yeah. >> And then he goes and then uh so he moves in with Sean and then they they get kicked out because she she got biting with Sean. She was dressing with a shirt with no bra, no panties, just walking around in the living room like she didn't care. That was her apartment. That was her place and she didn't care. So Sean kicked him out and told Isaac and her leave. Then my son comes and tells me that Sean tried to sexually um touch her and Sean's gay. >> Sean's gay. >> Yeah. >> You know how >> doesn't sound like him. Yeah. >> Yeah. Doesn't sound like him. >> Sean has mental issues too >> because he used to allow meth addicts and living with him. >> So after that anyways um they get kicked out. Her mom comes and gets them both of them. And so I'm like like you need to leave her. You need to leave her. We always told him you need to leave her. He still wouldn't leave her. She had a hold of him and she would tell my daughter I got your I I'll take your your brother away from everyone. Watch. >> She threatened my daughter. >> Do you know anything about Grace? >> Grace? She was the last time I met her. She was like 14, 15 years old in 2018. >> Closet in my son's closet. >> She stuck into our son's room >> and she was in the closet cuz I had kind of >> I was in like in the bathroom getting out of the shower. And anyways, well anyways, I heard like a girl's voice in his room and I was like I said, "Who's in there?" Nobody. Nobody. >> Cuz he knows our rules. >> Yeah. >> So I go and I said, "Open the door. Why is it locked?" you know, I don't like lock locked doors unless there's something that's going on. She's hiding behind us our our um shelves and in the closet. She comes out and I said, "Who is she?" I said, "Her name is Grace." >> And she came by and and I and her window was open and I said, "Why is your window open? It's so cold." >> Yeah. >> So, >> she had snuck in the house. >> I said, "No, she has to go." >> What was their relationship at that point? They were boyfriend and girlfriend and they had just met on the online >> and I asked her when she was there, "What are you doing here? Who's your mother?" "I don't want to go home. My mom's mean." I said, "Your mom is just trying to love you, girl. Know where you've been." And she got mad at me and he got mad at me. And then I told, "You need to leave." So, I'm not going to go home. Like, okay. Stay here. We don't know when you are. >> And she looked young like about 14 >> and she had said that she was 18. Yeah. >> And she was by looking at her. >> How old was Isaac at this point? >> Yeah. >> He was like, "Yeah, 20." >> Okay. >> And then after that, she was no longer around us. Isaac stopped seeing her. Um, she stopped. >> She didn't turn up anymore after that. Nuh-uh. All we know is that she ran away. A police officer came I don't know what month, what year, but there's a report about it that they came to our house on Santa Clara and the they were looking for her. She ran away again. She was a runaway from the street. >> And then >> when Isaac started meet met Cara and then eventually into the relationship, he kept on saying that she kept telling Isaac. Jar told Isaac that Grace was harassing her and but she had also had a relationship with Grace >> before Isaac. >> So the point was that that Grace was harassing her and she was paranoid. I mean Cara was paranoid so bad and so I said don't believe that. Why would Grace want to harm her? >> Yeah. >> She's doing her own thing. a year almost a year and a half before this all happened. I used to hear my wife would tell me Grace and Cara at it again and Isaac said they're arguing again and and I mom tell I said you need to leave her alone. I am but she keeps contacting us. She just won't be there. >> Grace won't leave alone or >> Grace and Grace is here in the back. She would she would tell he would come over and talk to us and sometimes he would say about Grace. >> So going on for a while. >> Yeah. >> She won't leave us alone. She's coming over. Well, you need to call the police. Price harassment. She didn't listen. >> What do you guys think happened? >> I don't know. >> I don't know why Grace was there. >> What happened? But I've seen like I I told the DA victim, if you go into G's Instagram videos, you'll see >> Yeah. >> devil worshiing and >> dancing to a devil. >> And Grace is part of >> Does Grace have stuff like that, too? >> Um I sent you some >> Yeah. on Tik Tok. >> Um on her Tik Tok supposed witch crab or something. They're all witches and warlocks. They were normal like teenage stuff, you know, like um I noticed that Grace was listening to like rap music, you know. >> This is Grace's stuff. >> Yeah. >> Anything anything weird on Grace's profile? Any kind of you know? >> Just one >> stuff for >> just one video where she's like it's like a voice over and it says um when I see a girl walk by um I want to say hi or something like that. But then afterwards it says, "But then I also want to say I want to see your head on a stick." >> And that's all from her. >> That was Grace's >> Graces. >> And then u recently I looked into Kiara's Instagram. >> And recently within the time leading up to Grace's death, >> um they all were part of those weird creepy videos. Like you could hear the sound of people dying in the background, I wouldn't say. Yeah. >> And it it it's so creepy and it happened within like 3 or 4 days before the incident happened and it's just weird. But then >> you scroll more down onto Kiara's videos and they're just like normal videos. >> But then there's more of a reset. >> Yeah. Yeah. But then >> what last year, 6 months or time? >> I would say within the last month. >> Month. Okay. Um, but then there's also a video where it caught my attention too where there is some in Kiara's part where it just you could tell she was into something evil >> because of the fact that there's a video in there where she's in the dark and she um like you it's a Tik Tok video and you hear the thing that knocks or whatever loud and on the bottom she put I think I pissed off this thing that's in my house or whatever to that thing. So, >> what about social media? >> He doesn't have much on there. Nothing. >> Too much. >> Does somebody want to hang on board? >> He doesn't even have his pictures. >> Um Kiara has him on some of hers. And like I said, it's it's it's mostly teenage stuff, you know, filters. It's normal stuff. And what creeped me out is the fact that like I scroll through every single Kiara's videos and what creeped me out was those main videos that were recently taken. Like you could obviously know something they were doing something they weren't supposed to. >> So a lot of a lot of background information about these people is helpful. Helps us kind of gain some insight as to a little bit more what they're about. Can you tell me anything more about the actual day of the incident or really all you know is that you got the phone call? >> He wanted us to come and pick him up, rent you back and I told him, "No, we told you if you leave this house and you go back with her, you're not allowed to come back and live with us." >> Yeah. >> And he tried it again and I told him, "No, we're not going over there to pick you up." And I'm glad we >> You got to be got to be firm in your rules as a parent >> cuz I told him you're 26 years old. They need to work. >> He would just sign me off as a nag. That's [ __ ] work. >> These are Kas. >> Kas. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> We have a lot. >> Yeah. The police. They know how to fix that. >> And that's he I told him no. I was yelling my voice the product. We were driving. Tell them no. We're not going to pick you up. We don't You need to be a man. You need to go get your place. How much money you have there? about $3,000. Well, go get you a hotel. >> Yeah. A couple nights, whatever. >> Yeah. But we don't know if he would lying to her because she was very You were lied to us. But I mean, you believe it. That's how much she would lie to us. >> And she she's a liar, too. >> Yeah. She We're probably worse than him. >> And I could say, too, that there has been times where um I would hear from my sister how Kiara was being very abusive toward >> Isaac. Do you look pregnant? >> Um I heard one time that um I think my sister had told me >> um cuz he wouldn't tell me personal stuff, you know, was just like fun to hang out with. >> Um but he she my sister told me that she I guess kicked him in the groin and punched him >> whenever she would get mad at him, I guess. And she would say, "I I don't I don't want you ever to have babies." >> As as she would have been, >> you do it. I want you to do it. control nothing as she quit coming over to our house at the door. >> What's your opinion on what we were talking about on the phone? I was telling you about some of the stuff that's out on the criminal complaint kind of the messages between the two of them. >> Does that sound like Isaac? >> No. >> Her yeah, >> she said she's weird and strange. She she's strange and she understand his face. He would laugh. He would call his >> the type that would give you >> He was the type that would >> for a woman nice people. >> What was he into? What are his likes? >> He likes video games. >> Video games. >> He would tell us about the next movie that's coming out. You call me. >> Hey, Mom. The next the next DC movie. I don't like DC. I'm not really into DC, but if you have Wonder Woman or Superman, would be full of love, full of joy, make friends. >> He He would make jokes and he would do pranks. He would just, "Hey, Mom." But nothing like my sister does to my mom. >> Yeah. He would always pick on his grandma and say, "Hey, grandma, I'm going to go in there and make a prank phone call and call you and say um like I don't know what he would say. There was something still there from like >> I want to explain a little bit how we do uh our job just so you guys kind of have an understanding and you probably already do but let me just uh clarify any myths that might be out there from movies or anything like that. Um, it's not up to me or to anyone to we don't file charges on people based on like what we think happened or like what we assume happened or like >> even even like even past history of people is only mildly taken into account. Everything that I look off is based off of >> evidence. >> Evidence. Yeah. Statements. Evidence. Video cameras, witnesses statements, uh, phone extractions, social media extractions, all that stuff. So, like I was telling you the day on the phone, the stuff that cuz Isaac coming in here initially, there was hardly a thought him being a suspect. I read him his Miranda rightites just in case it went that way. And I'm glad I did cuz some of the stuff that came up from looking at his phone with his consent afterwards. Um, yeah, but there's still more investigating to be done. Um, you know, as far as more of the details of the case, I hope you guys understand, but I can't really I can't share those. active investigation. >> Um, you know, you know, I don't know what happened. >> I'm very confused and it's just >> it's not right for nobody to >> I'm confused. If I have questions, I might not have the answers. I might not never ever know what the answers would be. He would always hug me and I would have missed that. >> Do you think he would talk to you and he would discuss with me what happened? >> No. >> No. Have you talked to him since he's been? He called me last night. No, >> he called me yesterday afternoon when I was in the hospital with my mom. >> Oh, he sounded >> He sounded different. He sounded sad. He was He knew what he >> he I know he's great what he did. I know cuz he's not near that witch anymore. He's away from her. >> But he also asked if Terra was >> Yeah. >> home for me to call and see how she's doing. I told him I ain't calling her if she does come out. I ain't I am so pissed off right now. >> So what I can tell you guys is kind of how the process looks going forward. >> The the district's attorney's office takes on the case obviously. So it's the police department's job to put together all the facts and investigate it. And through the process, we send this information to the district attorney's office. the district attorney's office is responsible for prosecuting the case, right? Trying to see if it's a case where there's enough evidence for a conviction or whatever the case may be. So, kind of the first step in this in the DA's office, if not already, is going to do it very soon. They're going to file for what's called pre pre-trial detention. Um, basically what that means is they request an audience with the judge and the prosecutors there. um this the the suspects in the case, the defendants, your son and Kiara, um whether they represent themselves or get a public defender or get their own private attorney, they legal counsel of their choosing. And it is basically um the first court proceedings where the prosecutor of the state is trying to get the judge to hold the defendants throughout the duration of the whole trial. These trials can sometimes last as much as a year, two years, three years, especially with that something with this much um severity. So, uh that's kind of what's probably going to happen within the next 10 days or so. Um and then the outcome of that will decide if uh your son and Kiara are released and under what conditions they are released. It could be released under house arrest or under a number of things. And I told the DA um advocate, I said that would be the stupidest thing is letting that girl out. >> Yeah. >> Because not only that, her mom does not monitor her. Your mom's always in the main house in her room depressed. >> Well, you're not the only one that feels that way. Um definitely the victim's family feels. >> She never monitors her. Isaac wasn't supposed to go back. >> But like I said, Carol always texted. There's something in the yard. I need you here. He would call me and his dad. I need to go at 10:00 at night. I said, "It's 10:00 at night. What do you think you're going out for?" >> Yeah. When she came over one time when he was still staying with us and they were saying, "There's some people standing over there in the corner." What is she doing here? >> She not supposed to be here. I mean, so you need to leave. There's people over there. And I was like, "There ain't nobody over there." >> Yeah. >> They're tripping. And I walk to tripping. >> You have the camera. I looked at the camera, what am I walking? Just check the camera. But it's like a heel went down. >> And I could say too like um within the past four months or so um my nephew like like I said, he wouldn't like personally talk to me about relationship problems and stuff until one day um he was telling me um he's auntie. I got a job and I'm saving up for my apartment, my own apartment and stuff and I want to move forward and you know get my license and stuff. So, he's doing good. And then I told him I was, "Oh, that's good." I was like, "Um, are you?" And I just asked him. I was like, "Are you thinking of leaving Kiara?" And he's like, "Yeah." He's all, "I can't deal with her anymore and I can't deal with the abuse anymore." And I was like, "That's good." And, you know, I wish you know, >> was that? >> I would say about 4 months ago. I think >> he worked at the hotel. Uh, >> yeah. Dorado. He was a football attendant. >> That's when. >> And then he worked at Route 21. He found a job as an assistant manager of Route 21 and then he got her a job over there too. Interesting. >> But then she apparently said that the store manager was sexually harassing her, >> but she she would say that to play the victim, >> right? >> Like in April when he hit her. >> Yeah. >> Because she was trying to stab him with his knives. >> And she would throw stuff at him. I wish you were dead. I didn't want you here. I don't like you. You're fat. You're ugly. Nobody loves you. Not even your parents love you. >> It's true. >> And the whole fact that I saw in the newspaper that she uh claimed that she has multiple personality disorder. I don't know her mental health history. I don't know much about her. Um I met her only once or twice. Um she plays like she's a nice girl. Um, with my nephew though, um, I don't know if my sister, my sister told me that he was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder or DI. >> It's something what? >> DID. >> Yeah, D. >> Yeah. >> And who is this? Isaac. >> Isaac. >> So, like I said, I don't know if she I mean, obviously she knows that Isaac has that mental disorder and she's trying to say that she has it, right? Like I said, I don't know her mental health. She don't have it. >> She don't have it because we've seen her explode. >> Like one time I didn't hug her when they were staying there in the Santos and and my daughter was move had just moved in. We were helping her take her stuff and everything and my daughter gave me a hug and he ever wanted to give me a hug and I said, "No, do you remember what you said to my husband? I don't want you near me. Don't try to come and hug me." She gave me the mean look and she was mad and growling and everything and I was like, "Oh, no." >> If if I were you guys, cuz the vibe I'm getting from all of you is you've seen a lot of negative from Kiara. >> Correct. >> She's any any doubt in your mind she had anything to do with what happened? Yeah, she was I heard her tell him when he was at the house one time and they would come over, you're going to do as I say or else I'll I'll be with you. I don't know what a bewitch is, but I'll be you and you do what I say to do. He would even my daughter even told us that she would threaten him with witchcraft and I don't know if she's cuz witchcraft can >> if you believe in it >> you can get witchcraft but you know what happened to you and my son >> I think he raised him in church >> he was in church raised in church raising about God and Jesus you know I mean my son is the most man when he met everything spiral. >> He was he was he lost he used the smiles right away. >> I would text him at night time and he would just read it >> and he used to respond I love you all. God bless you and he stopped saying God bless. >> Just don't understand why he didn't have the common sense to stop the story. Come to us call the police before. So what I would suggest to you guys is that I imagine it's possible at points in this process going forward that there might be some argument from the defense and this is me nothing's been suggested yet but I've seen this happen before and heard about this happening before. The defense might say oh for example Kiara is not mentally competent enough to stand trial. She has multiple personality disorder even though it's undiagnosed. she needs help for this stuff. So that can be eas and she didn't know what she was doing because she has this disorder. Well, at that point in time, it might be smart for you guys to keep in touch with the DA's office >> and let them know, hey, at any point we are willing to testify on the character of Kiara. We have observed over the past time span, we've seen her not exhibit signs of the stuff or we've seen this or we've seen that, all the stuff you're telling me right now. Um because as far as the investigation part itself, I do look a little bit at prior activity of people and prior criminal history, but that's only maybe 2% at most of the investigation. This this contains all the facts, all all the evidence of the incident here and now. >> A lot of the past stuff can come up in court like I was telling you guys through like character witnesses. Um, but aside from that, that's really all the value that that can add to to helping with this, you know. So, keep all this stuff in mind. It wouldn't even hurt for you guys to maybe do a little bit of a written uh journal of like approximate timeline, right? This this year is when we first met Kiara. This was the first time she did this leaving church. We said that she's a witch at this date. And it a it ain't got to be the exact date, but the approximate month uh even time of year. And just kind of build up your timeline. That'll help you keep it nice and clean for if you if you are called to testify. You can say things in a way in a sequential way and that that gets across to the jury or to the judge or whoever's uh whoever's regulating the the the trial that day. Um what what I make sense. also forgot to mention she's also has applied to be a actress and a model. So she's acting her role right now. >> Yeah. >> But that's how they met and we used to go when we used to go to audition in Albuquerque auditions in this and for that. So she's a good actress. >> That's good to know. >> Yeah. I forgot to tell her where she was modeling acting. Our son was going to start acting too with the Linda. What's his name? Kingdom. Okay. >> Adam. >> Adam Sanders. >> He was Yeah, she said good. >> The the good thing is their their statements from their interviews are just part of the investigation. You know, >> the information contained in their their social media, their phones, you know, all that other stuff, the DNA events, all that stuff. You can't act your way out of that, you know. So, don't worry. I guess we're going to figure out everything that happened, but I do have something else coming in now in about 5 minutes. I don't know if you guys have anything else you wanted to discuss. Like I said, I can't really can't really give any information more than what I've already said about where the investigation is at or where it's going. >> And she went, "Oh, there he is." Cuz um somebody anonymous >> had um sent me Okay. So, you know, it's anonymous even though it says who she is, but well, she sent me. >> Who's this? >> This is um supposed to be trying to find the text message. She sent me all kinds of stuff. >> Where's she? >> She wants to remain on the list. >> When was this? >> Oh, she's she didn't tell me when. >> With the check or she said that. >> Yeah. Like when does this sound like what's going on here? cuz I had told her my daughter about what? >> Oh, her her brother was in jail. >> She didn't believe it. So, she sent me that >> this was sent what? >> Let me see what they >> October 29th. >> This and this is your daughter? >> Yes. >> And she's saying this to you? >> She said that her friend sent that to her. >> Her friend sent that to your daughter. Yes. And then her daughter phoned it to you. She had my daughter before. My daughter's not concerned. My daughter's a big girl. She's tall. >> So, who who wrote these messages? >> I don't know. She she didn't tell me who it was. >> She didn't give me the name or nothing. But if I get her name, if I ask her, >> Yeah. text her, ask her. >> Yeah, >> that that is interesting because it sounds like there's potential that was sent from Grace, but I would need to know I would be able to have to tie it back to Grace. >> Yeah. >> And uh I have Grace's phone, so I might see that just off her phone. >> It's a different a different phone call that they knew. >> Oh, someone different. >> Somebody different, I think. But Carol would always do the planning >> and Eisen was the one that always Yeah. She was like in control of him >> like he would carry out the plan. I used control >> if he didn't do it. >> Make sure it get done. >> His mind was like we called it. >> You contacted the DA's office. any any points where uh where they'd be willing to uh >> allow you to come in as like a character witness or something like that, you know? >> Oh my god. If you can show me the >> Oh, no. I can't. >> I wouldn't be watching you every day. Crying for the mom, crying for >> that for the city in general. a lot of >> I know it's all our leftover from >> the kids didn't take enough. >> What are you guys doing for the rest of your day? >> My sister's going back to the hospital. My mom's getting rid of diialysis. >> I'm going home. I'm tired. >> You guys live here in San? >> Yeah, we live in the first. >> Yeah, number one. >> I mean, I wish I could show you pictures of our son while she used to be. What? >> I had nerve damage on my neck. Hold it. Thanks for coming in, guys. If um anything else comes up where I feel like I need clarification on any information or anything, I'll give you a call. Okay. >> Okay. Thank you. All right. Good luck, guys. Thanks for coming in.
