I was putting gas at the Shell gas station. >> Okay. >> A homeless male by the name of Carson McCoy I just know cuz he shopped this from Target. He came up to me and was like, "Hey, that dude over there in that car." And he pointed at the car. He's like, "That's him right there." He's I believe he uh he's naked. He has on like a like a crop top shirt. He's naked. He has nothing on. He pointed a gun at me and it was like that. I was putting gas when he came up to me. I sat in my car and he like knock I was like, "How can I help you?" He's like, "That car right there, that that car over there." He's like, "Yeah." He's like, "That guy has a gun." He's wearing a crop top. He's naked. >> Was this car park at the >> So, no, the car was driving through this parking lot. >> And and I was at the Shell gas station. I can see in my rearview mirror that car. And he's like, "That's the car. That's the car." >> And he said, cuz he said it was like, >> "Did you ever see that car in the gas station?" He just saw >> No, it wasn't at the gas station. It happened here. Okay. But that guy and he's like, "There at the Dollar Tree." And then he pointed in this parking lot. So, I flipped a U, came here. I saw the car parked. I was waiting for backup. Next thing you know, I see the guy here behind the wall there behind the the Dollar Tree. He sees me. It looks like he put a gun up on the wall. He stands up. He's completely naked. And then he had pants on. >> No. No. He was completely naked. Completely. He had on his little crop top, but you could see his his genitalia, everything. >> Okay. >> He It looks like he realizes that I'm a cop. He hides behind the wall. That's when I call out. I back up my unit cuz I don't know what the [ __ ] going on. >> This is the wall that's over here. >> Yeah. And then he gets he starts digging in his passenger seat. That's when I came out. >> Over here >> and he's like, "Hey, there's a there's a guy over there with a gun. He's he's naked and he's in a in an older car." And he's like, he's wearing like a little crop top, but he has absolutely nothing else. He pointed a gun at me. And I was like, "Okay, cool. Are you guys okay?" Like, and he's like, "Yeah." He's like, "I don't want to make a police report or anything, but uh just I'm just letting you know." And I was like, "Cool. Stay in the area, please." I took off immediately, came over here, um when I got here, I was looking at the vehicle to see if I could see any movement. And next thing you know, this guy naked, fully naked, um begins to hop the wall behind the Dollar Tree. And he I see him put a gun on the wall. He hopped the wall pretty much all the way. And once he saw me and I think he realized that it was my unit cuz I didn't have my lights on yet. Uh cuz I was trying to wait for backup before I actually approached. And at that point he realized it was me. He hid behind the wall and next thing you know he uh he was able to run across the wall and there's like a big bus that's kind of like blocking the wall area >> and I don't know just because he was out of sight he was able to make it to his passenger seat. Started digging around. At that point, I I got out of my vehicle. Uh I tried to give commands because I pulled out my firearm. He hopped in his car and took off >> and he looks like he slid on some ice back here in the in the parking lot. And >> how far did he go? Just like >> it's it's like it's like a 100 yards. >> Okay. >> And he Yeah, he he crashed into looks like a brick wall here on the property. >> Now that officers have the full picture, it's time to ask the obvious. Why was David flashing random people and pointing a gun at them in the first place? >> Having these rights in mind, you agree to speak to me if I if I ask you questions? >> Yes or no? >> Okay. Are you okay? Can you breathe? What was that? Okay. Congestion. Congestion issues. Okay. Can you just look at me while I speak to you? >> Can you Can you lean back? Can you lean back for me? Okay, sir. So, I was at obviously I saw you naked >> with a gun. I saw you. >> I had a homeless individual advise that you >> pulled up on them and you pointed a gun at them. >> What was that? >> Did you point that gun at them? >> Okay, I I I understand that. But did you point that at them? [Music] The what? >> Help them. >> Okay. How would that How would you pointing a gun at them help them? >> But did you point that gun at them? Why? >> They said that you drove up to them, hopped out of your car, and pointed the at them while you were naked. Why were you naked? >> Whose gun is that? Whose gun is it though? Is it your dude? >> What was that? >> It was a what? A rubber gun. Okay, but is that your >> You got it at Savers. Is it your >> You got it. You got it from Savers. Is that correct though? Is did you get that? >> Okay. Is there any other weapons inside your vehicle? >> No. >> How did you crash? >> How? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Why were you not listening when we were giving you commands to put your hands in the air? Well, you were trying to get back in your car and I heard you pressing on the gas and revving your engine like you were still trying to run away from us. >> It was what? >> Well, at the end of the day, I'm I'm glad you're okay, man. Okay. Cool. Cool. Thanks, dude. >> All right, man. We're at the hospital. It's going to be a little tough and I'll head over there, right? Got to take a few steps. Let's go. 836 xray train. Stand up. >> All right, let's go. all these water and he's like no kind of thing. He's like, "Hey, what's your name, man?" >> David, can we look at your arms? >> Were you bit anywhere else? >> What's the story? >> Um, he was in front of his vehicle. It wasn't planned. Let the uh doggies let go and bit him. >> You know what? >> I have to bleed. Let's check out your hair. Huh? >> Can we take this jacket off, my friend? Cuz I got to look at this arm. >> He's fine. At least hit by a while back. >> They said he is. But she's he's going to work. Do you mind if I cut off this jacket? >> You hurt anywhere else? >> You get just a dog, right? >> Oh, just a dog bite. Um he got Yeah. tasered and then he got shot in the legs with uh >> Yeah. After getting treated for the injuries he brought on himself, David was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, indecent exposure, and resisting arrest. He claimed the gun was fake and tossed it during the chaos. And luckily for him, officers never found it. But the real credit goes to the K9 Zeus, who took him down clean despite getting injured in the process. Zeus did what had to be done.
