Good morning everyone. Keith Waller with the concert from the neighborhood policing team. It's just after 7:00 in the morning. We had an early start this morning briefing at headquarters at 4:30. This is operation Sledgehammer in relation to serious organized crime in County Durham and our efforts to tackle that. We've hit addresses in County Durham this morning and addresses in Merseyside and one address in the Columbus policing area. So a massive operation. We've probably in excess of 120 officers involved in this operation. Months and months of planning. As we speak the operation is still going. Still teams out there. But as we speak we've got over 10 people arrested and in police custody. So big operation but really successful day so far. This operation is is based around the supply of class A drugs into the area. What we're going to be doing shortly and over the next few days is going out and speaking to the communities. It's important that we get a message back into the community that we won't tolerate the supply of class A drugs into the area. But also that we provide some reassurance to the community. So certainly the the B teams especially starting at 8:00 this morning they'll be working through all week in in providing that message via house to house, via social media and via public meetings. So we'll be getting out and speaking to the residents and telling them exactly what we've done today and what positive action has been taken.
