Do you want to continue with the rest of the things that I want you to do? >> 1 2 3 4 5 6 >> Do you want to continue with the rest of the things I'd like you to do? >> 9 10 11 12 >> All right, everybody. Welcome back. We've got another video for you. This one comes from Body Cam Files and it is Jen Z gets caught doing 80 and a 45 ends badly. I haven't seen it. Let's go. >> 80 in a 45 zone. Instead of pulling over, the 25-year-old driver pulls into a Taco Bell drive-thru, nearly hitting the worker and smashing a cone before making things even worse. >> Oh boy. >> Is the car import. >> I don't know if you noticed, but I used to be able to go to Taco Bell and get an order for I don't know. You'd never spend like five to 10 bucks. 10 bucks. You would get so much Taco Bell. Now it's like 30 bucks for one person. It's crazy. The girl said she was open. I'm so confused. >> Okay, put the car in park. Was it in park? >> Yes. The girl said she was open. I'm so confused. I'm sorry. >> Okay. You're going 80 mph on military. You're going almost 80 m hour on Indiantown Road. You ran the red light at military. You ran this red light coming in here. >> Yes, you did. I I was right behind you that whole time. What is going on? I'm for you. I'm sorry. >> Do you have your driver's license with you? >> I do. >> Can I see that, please? >> There we go. >> We're going to be here a sec. >> Something bad happening. >> When you ran over the cone that was blocking this off, too. >> No, I asked her. I said, "Can I get some food? I'm really hungry." You? She said, "Yes." >> Okay. >> That's why I went. >> Did she not know? >> She did. Yeah. Give me a sec. >> I'm not I'm not lying. Right. >> I don't know if you talked to her or not, but all I saw was you run over this cone, too. >> And after driving like that, >> after >> Okay, I need I just need your driver's license, registration, insurance, please. >> Where are you coming from? >> Um, >> what are they doing? It looks like maybe they're washing the drive-thru, which is probably why they had the cone up. Driver's license, please. >> Maybe not. I don't know. >> Thank you. >> Where are you coming from? >> My parents house. >> I'm just trying to go home. >> Okay. >> Oh, there it is. I'm just trying to go home. The magic words that uh typically signify you're you got problems on board. Do >> you have a registration or insurance? She said she was trying to get food and I said, "Can I go there?" And I She said, "Yeah." So, I just went >> I'm not trying to like make any bad. I promise. >> Can you get your registration insurance, please? >> Hold on. This happened to me before, but so I have it. Hold on. Are you confused? >> Well, you said you're coming from your parents house and you're going home. >> Yes. >> So, you live with your parents? >> No. That's why I would be going home. >> Okay. But you told me you lived here, which is your parents house. >> No. >> Are you confused? >> How much did you have to drink tonight? >> One drink. >> How big? >> One drink. If you would like me to do a DIY test, I will do it right now cuz I've done it before. I will do it again. >> Do you have any medical problems? >> Just anxiety and um >> the anxiety thing. Oh boy. where this generation has got a rude awakening. What life has got to dish out to you. Um, and you can't hide behind anxiety your whole life. >> Anything else you want to like interpret for the night for the people like who were at Mangoes who actually never caught? Like, it's so funny. It's so funny. It's so [ __ ] funny. Can you give me what I asked you for? >> I don't [ __ ] know, bro. >> Okay, she's losing it. >> I I haven't been swearing at you this entire time. I don't know why you're >> mad because like like cuz like you catch me out of all people who are like [ __ ] drunk as [ __ ] If you want to catch them, catch them here. >> Um I'm thinking he has he has caught somebody that's drunk. You admitted to drinking, lady? >> Ma'am, >> I need you to step out, please. >> There we go. That's it. >> Ma'am, out of the car. >> What? No. Here. >> Get out of the car. >> No. No. You can call my father. >> No. >> No. >> You need to get >> Yes, you can. You can call my father. >> You need to get out of the car. I'm giving you a lawful order. You need to get out of the car. What? >> To do because I'm kind of concerned that you're under the influence. You told me that you wanted to do my DUI test. >> I'm just concerned because >> So, I'm giving you that opportunity. >> So, I need you to step out of the car, please. >> I'm giving you everything you need to hear. >> And I'm telling you that I need you to step out of the car. Hey, do you not want to take this or >> I don't want to take that right now. I want you to step out of the car, please. [laughter] >> Watch because there's a pole here. Okay. >> I'm not trying. It's fine. >> We're going to go back over there. >> Go on the other side of this police car. Okay. >> Okay. I'm not sure. >> Okay. This is good. >> What do we got? Jupiter. Jupiter Florida. >> Just so OCD. >> Okay. Do you take any medications for that? >> I do. Yeah. >> Okay. What medication do you take for that? >> Um I don't know. Just a medication to slow my heartbeat. Okay. >> Is that a prescription one or? >> Yeah, >> it is. Do you know the name of it? Don't know the name of it. Okay. Is that the only medication that you take? >> Two of them. So, one to slow the heartbeat and what is the other? >> So, a medication to slow the heartbeat like a Xanax. You can't drive on that either. So, the question is, was she under the influence of alcohol? Maybe there was one of these pills that she's been prescribed for anxiety are typically downers. And they probably say on the bottle, do not drive while under on this and probably explicitly says don't drink alcohol with it. >> Do same thing. >> Uh just birth control. >> Okay. >> I'm not drunk. I can tell you right now. >> Um so they all say >> I am concerned based on what I saw of you driving. >> I'm sorry. >> Okay. Because that that's kind of indicative of somebody that's driving under the influence. Okay. So I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't >> Okay. Give me if I didn't do that. Okay. So, are are you okay with doing that? All right. Give me one second. I got to grab something out of my car and then I'll come right back and we'll get started. Okay. >> Get the underage people who have Johnny Mangoes and wrestling up. >> I almost watched you crash two times. Okay. >> Stop, lady. >> Start yelling at me about stuff. I'm going to start yelling at you about stuff. >> The way that you were driving, you're going to absolutely kill somebody. >> I'm not going to kill someone. Have I killed someone? I've lived here for my >> You almost ran into that guy that was pressure washing and the lady that was standing here. >> I'm not drunk. Get the underage people who are [ __ ] up other than me. This is [ __ ] up. This is [ __ ] up. >> Are you willing to continue with this? >> This is [ __ ] up. My younger sister is 19 and she tells me she goes out to Ralphs and Topside all the time with people who are underage. It's [ __ ] up. Okay. This is my entire job is to do DUI investigations. >> Do whatever you [ __ ] want. This is [ __ ] up. >> Okay. Are you willing to to continue with this? >> Do you want to [ __ ] my room my whole life? >> Okay. This is the way they think that that the police somehow have been the are the ones that are screwing up her life. No, ma'am. This is you. Your decision to drink, maybe even take some prescription and then get behind the wheel of the car and now you want to blame other people. No. This is your choices that have led to this. >> Huh? >> Do you want a ruin my whole life? >> No. But I also want everybody to get home alive and safe. >> So do I. I'm just trying to get through. >> Okay. Are you willing to do the roadsides or No. >> What is that? >> I'm going to check your eyes. I'm going to ask you to walk down a line. I'm going to ask you to stay. >> Dude, I was a dancer. I could do >> Okay. You're okay with doing that? >> Sir, are you going to put me in jail? >> If you don't do very good. Yeah, we >> are. I'm not I'm not going to sugarcoat it, but that's my entire job. >> You're You're capturing the wrong people. >> Okay. I I I don't think that I am. >> You are. You are. >> Would you like to continue? >> I know my younger siblings and their friends. You're capturing the wrong people. >> Okay. If you do If you don't want to continue with this, you're going to force me to base the decision on everything that I've seen so far. >> I hope when her sister sees this, her sister's like, "What the hell? You trying to throw me under the bus?" >> Evidence against me. You understand that? >> I understand. What do you need me to do? >> Would you like to continue with my roadsides? >> Does that mean I don't get in jail? Like, what does that mean? >> That helps me get a feel of where you're at. You told me that you had one. No, that's not an option. You told me that you had one drink. >> Okay. I'm trying to give you the >> I swear anytime they say, "Can I just go home?" Or, "I I just want to go home." I It's almost foolproof. >> The benefit of the doubt and dispel my suspicions that you're driving under the influence. And you keep yelling at me about other stuff that's going on >> cuz it's [ __ ] up. Like >> Yes, it is. You shouldn't drink and drive. Would you like to continue with Would you like to continue with the roadsides or not? >> What is the question? >> Would you like to continue with doing the roadsides or not? >> Do I have an answer? >> Do you have the answer yet? Yes or no? >> Uh what is my answer if yes? If yes, we're going to continue with the roadsides. If no, you're going to force me to base a decision on everything that I've seen so far, and you refusing to do it can be used as evidence against you later on down the line in court. >> Um, well, my parents have money, but like would you be willing to do that? >> I have no idea what any of this means. >> All I'm asking you to do is is to answer is whether or not you'd like to do my roadsides. Yes, >> sure. I'll do your roadside. >> The roadsides are a little I mean, we call them uh field sobriety tests just to determine whether you're under the influence. Roadsides, he explained it to her already, but she just is not This is all indicators of of of being impaired as well. An inability to understand what's going on, the questions being asked. There's a reason why we ask these questions specifically over and over and over again because then we we notate that in the report. Hey, we asked 10 times she failed to understand the question. >> Stand like you are with your feet together, heels and toes touched and arms down to your sides and watch this red light with your eyes and your eyes only. I don't want you to move. >> Oh wow. >> Until I tell you to. Do you understand? >> I understand. >> Okay. Like I said, I just want you to follow this red. >> You get the 19-year-old Syra. This is so [ __ ] up. >> Just put her cuffs. Put her in cuffs already. I'm not all fuckooked up. So [ __ ] up. >> I'm trying to continue with this and you're not making it very easy. >> I'm listening. >> Okay. >> Go. >> If you want to continue doing that, >> we're not going to be able to do this. >> Okay. Sorry. >> So if you'd like to participate the red light that you said Okay. >> If you'd like If you'd like to participate with this, you need to listen to my instructions. >> Yes, sir. >> Very carefully. >> Okay. Yes, sir. >> And not interrupt. Understand? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. I want you to stand with your arms down to your sides. Stay just like that. Don't move until I tell you to. Do you understand? >> I understand. >> Okay. I want you to watch the red light with your eyes and your eyes only. It's going to move back and forth and up and down. >> I want you to follow this light only with your eyes and don't move your head. >> Okay. >> Do you understand? >> I understand. >> Okay. Don't move your head. Keep your head still. Okay. >> This is the tracking part. You're just checking to see if her eyes are tracking without moving. >> Okay. So, all you need to do is come down over here. So, he didn't do the whole test. You're going to track, then you go out to the 45 out to the sides, and then you do up and down to So, they probably cut uh some of that off. >> You can see the blue line. Okay. Right. >> Yes, I can. >> Okay. If you want to take your shoes off for this, let me know. I'll let you take your shoes off. >> I jam Antonio a few minutes ago. >> Okay. >> She looks like a gymnast. >> All I want you to do is stand right about here. All the Taco Bell workers are working at me. I recommend >> it's I'm going to have you face away from them so that you're not staring at them the whole time. There you go. I want you to put your left foot on the blue line. Put your right foot in front of it. >> Person like could do this >> with the heel of your right foot touching the toe of your left foot. >> Keep your arms down to your sides. >> You get these little gymnast type. They have really good coordination. They can actually do a lot of these tests even when they're under the influence. So there's a lot of portions to it. The physical uh aptitude is one portion of it. Their inability to listen to instructions, all that other stuff. Those are also parts of it. >> And stay just like that. Arms down to your sides. And stay just like that. And don't move until I tell you to start. Do you understand? >> I understand. >> Okay. When I tell you to start, I want you to take nine heel to toe steps along the blue line. It's going to look like this. Yes, ma'am. One, >> two, three, all the way to nine. On your ninth step, you're going to leave your front foot on the line. Turn around by taking a series of small steps with your other foot and return nine heel totoe steps like this. One, two, three, all the way to nine. >> While walking, I want you to watch your feet at all times. Keep your arms down to your sides. Count each of your steps out loud. And once you've started walking, don't stop till you finish the whole thing just like I showed you. Do you understand that? >> Yes, sir. >> Give me questions. >> Thank you. >> Any questions? >> Thank you. >> Okay, you can begin whenever you're ready. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 12 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 >> It's pretty good. >> Okay, >> she didn't do nine. >> Do is you can turn and face me. Stand with your feet together. Heels toes touching. Arms down to your sides. Stay just like that. Don't move until I tell you to start. Do you understand? >> I understand. >> When I tell you to start, arms down your sides, though. There you go. When I tell you to start, I want you to lift one of your legs, whichever you're more comfortable with, about six inches off the ground. It's going to look like this. >> I want you to keep your knees straight, arms down to your side. No one's good at this. >> Watch your foot [laughter] and point your toes so your foot's parallel with the crown. Just like this. In this position, not yet. In this position, all I want you to do is count out loud. 1 10 1 2 1 100 1 3 and so on until I tell you to stop. You understand? >> I understand. Do >> you have any questions? >> So, I just have to hold on my foot and go 1002. >> Yep. until I tell you to stop. Understand? >> You have any questions? >> No. This is just stupid. >> You start whenever you're ready. >> 1 10 1 1000 two 100 three This is like I'm I'm >> puts her foot down twice. >> Not following instructions. Hands down. Not down at the side. Not looking at her foot. >> Dude, I'm watching my foot. >> No, she's not. >> What is this? What is this? What is this? A measure of >> She keeps putting her foot down. >> I'll do it for real. 1 2 1 3 1 4 >> She's still not looking down at her foot. Don't use your arms as balance. Keep your hands down at your side. All All instructions. She did not do well on that one. >> 5 1067 106. You can stop. >> What? Am I in jail now? Cuz >> No, you're not listening to me. >> I am. I just think it's stupid because I can't balance for more than 3 seconds. That's a a a rule cuz I'm left from your right. >> Yes. This is my right. This is my left. I just think it's stupid because like I'm just nervous. And you you got me like pulled over in my car. I'm fine. >> I have two more things I'd like you to do. You want to do them? Like I could balance this all day, but like you don't want to pretend like I do. Do you want to see it? >> You don't want >> Can you answer my questions? >> Yes, I have. >> You're not even listening to me. >> I have >> Have I been listening to him? >> No. >> Do you want to continue with the rest of the things that I want you to do? >> One, two, three. >> Still not looking down. >> Do you want to continue with the rest of the things I'd like you to do? >> 9 10 11 12 Like I'm not lying to you. Oh, >> there she goes. Bam. >> That's it. >> Why >> for DY? >> Because I danced. >> Nope. >> She basically started doing the Reno 911 sketch. There [laughter] she and piouette. And one and two and three. >> Cuz you're not listening to me. I've given you plenty of opportunities. Don't turn around on me. >> I have listened to you. Then they end there like, >> "That was really good. Are you a good dancer?" He's like, "Nah, no. I'm just drunk." That's that's her now. [clears throat] She just uh I'm waiting for that >> on me. >> But I have listened to you. What is that? I have listened to him. What is that? I have listened to him. What is that? >> These guy These guys who do the DUI investigations, they're really good at what they do and they pretty much know. >> I have listened to you though. You think I'm lying to you? Going in the car >> here, please. >> Can I call my mom? >> Not right now. >> No, you're not going to call your mommy or your daddy or anybody. >> Your jewelry off. All right. >> My jewelry? >> Yep. >> No, you're not going to have some of my jewelry take off. >> What the [ __ ] >> Swing your foot in. >> No. No. >> Swing your foot in. >> No, no, no. With you. >> No. No. No. I'm not. Nope. Take these cuffs off. We're not doing this tonight. It's just it it's funny where people get all of a sudden they're like, "No, no, I'm not going to get in the car." You are uh you can do it not you can do it peacefully without resisting even a peaceful res, you know, a passive resistance here or they're going to put you in there. >> No, you're going to have someone get here. No, not happening. >> There's three of us here. >> Cool. You're going to have someone come here before you put me in the car. >> Call them. Call them. Call who you want me to call? >> My father. >> No. >> No. That's not >> No. It's happening. >> How old are you? >> 25. >> Okay. Why do you need your dad? YOU'RE 25 YEARS OLD. >> WHY ARE you being my dad? No, I'm not getting in this car. >> Get your foot in the car. >> No, you're not going to touch me. >> What a child. >> Get your foot in the car. >> No, you're not going to touch me. This is [ __ ] up. >> Get your foot in the car. >> No. No. No. This is >> No, guys. No. >> No. Put her in. Time to just >> No, >> they're being very patient. >> Call my dad. No, >> I'm not calling your dad. You're >> Well, you're going to have to. >> You are a grown woman. >> Yep. Call him. >> You make decisions for yourself, right? >> I do. Yep. >> Call him. >> So, >> call him. >> You're going to do what I tell you to do cuz I'm a police officer. Give me a lawful order. >> You're not. I don't care what you tell me to do. Call my dad. >> Boom. She's going in. There you go. Now you're going in. Now you're getting a resisting charge. She weighs like a buck, maybe a buck 20. So >> there you go. Now you got a resisting charge. >> About a assault. Maybe she almost ran that guy over. >> She was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. >> Oh, they did charge her with a assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. Um, okay. >> DUI, resisting without violence. DUI normal faculties impaired. I don't know what that is. I don't know if it's po above a 0.08 or what it is. Resisting obstructing officer without violence and reckless driving. >> And reckless driving. Hannah bonded out and was appointed a public defender and managed to get each of her charges marked as not filed or downfiled to a lesser charge. >> Just freaking attorneys, man. No file on the the A assault. um no file or downfiled, which means she probably pled out to like a um probably not anger management, like alcohol abuse, some type of of course she had to go through. So, well, there we go again. You know, we got another one where we get it with the DUI. they act like this and then you submit it to the county attorney or the at the city attorney and then they reduce the charges down to next to nothing. She got a that that is common for a firsttime offense where they'll reduce it and maybe get a reckless driving or one of those maybe something that is that if they comply with everything, if they finish the uh substance abuse course or anger management or whatever, then the ca that the charges go away. That's probably what happened. But she bonded out. I based on my training experience, she absolutely looked like she was under the influence and uh this is the type of entitlement that we have to deal with where they don't, you know, I got anxiety so I should just be able to do whatever I want in society. No, no, that's not how it works. Uh or you can't just drive around at 80 miles hour. You can't just run over cones into the Taco Bell drive-thru because you're hungry. and we don't call your mommy and your daddy when you get pulled over on a traffic stop and you're being held accountable for your bad behavior, your entitled behavior. That's what this was. And I'm glad they did it. I thought these guys did a fantastic job. They gave her every opportunity, but in the end, they took a drunk driver off the street and uh that saves a lot of people. Uh potentially saves lives. So, let me know what you think.
