I don't know I'm just telling you what what I ran into, that's the information I got. Maybe they meant to pick you up and they didn't. You know what I mean? So >> The cops just got her. >> Are you APD? >> Mhm. >> Yeah. >> I'm just waiting for my partner and then I'll give it to my partner, okay? Who are you talking to? >> It's a little blue that I was saying. Do I need to get off the phone? >> [snorts] >> I got to go to church. I love you, too. Am I still going to be able to talk to my CYFD person? ahead and do it. >> [music] >> Okay, so stand up facing away from me. I'm going to place you in handcuffs, okay? Face this way. I'm trying to get these up, that's why. I'm going to be aggressive. Just place these on that you have, okay? Who are you talking to? Are you talking to me or me after? Okay. Did you guys drive here? She's right outside. Is she a friend? >> No, she's a hugging match. >> Oh, she's your hugging, okay. Like I said, just when I ran your information, it was showing that you were missing. Maybe it's old, I don't know. We'll figure it out. Anything I need that I need to be aware of? Anything that could hurt me? Okay, we're going to walk back to my vehicle. Come on and I'll be right back. All right, I'll be right back. And then here to the right, okay? I'm going to get to my vehicle. I'm going to conduct what's just a pat down. It's just for weapons before you sit in my vehicle, okay? What's your first name? Okay. Okay. I believe I have your information, but you don't have an ID on you, do you? >> No, the AT&T people have my stuff, though. >> Face this way and spread your feet. Stand up and lean up against the door just cuz that way I won't be able to. Did you leave the cell phone in there? Uh, wait, wait, wait. Actually >> I'm good, I just wanted to make sure. >> You good? >> I have my car keys on me, though. >> Oh, you're fine. Like the We'll just leave those in there for now. Cuz you're just going to have a seat in my vehicle. But I think the cell phone is still in there, huh? >> I think so. It must be. >> Okay. If it's okay, I can open the glove for you real quick. Can you >> Oh. I need that back. >> Are you going to have to put it >> I'm going to have you inside the car. >> What's your info, please? >> So, real quick, obviously we got dispatched here in regards to a shoplifting and then they're wanting to completely trespass. I still need to go talk to them about what happened and then I'll come talk to you, but in the meantime I'm going to have you sit in here, okay? Okay, go ahead and stick your weapons in. So, the other one is being listed as 28. Can you go snag her, we'll put her in your car, and then I'll go back inside to watch 27. >> I'm I'm going to put the second I'm going to put the second one in. Do you have any belongings or anything like that? >> Um, [snorts] what I have is a bag. >> Is that hers? >> This bag is all hers. Exactly. >> That was That belongs to both of them? >> Right. >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, so the pink bag is yours, right? And then the black one is Amelia's. >> No. >> And then that's your stuff right there as well. The stuff in your jacket. >> And then the phone is the one in the other unit. >> Okay. So, all that stuff is hers. >> Yeah. >> Okay. You can grab your stuff. How old are you? 17? >> Sir? What happened? >> Um, so right now I got to place you in the vehicle for right now. Uh, just cuz you're 17 I believe you were listed on this. >> Can we call the police real quick? >> scared. >> Yeah. >> We're going to talk to them, but cuz there's two of you, we got to do with the other part first and then your part's easier. So. I'm pretty sure it's just >> So, what I know is that they got uh shoplifting. >> Okay. >> She showed me the receipt. It's 27. I used to work loss prevention, so um I kind of explained to her that I understood like they They saw them. They have them on video and stuff. >> Did the Did the juvenile call you? Is that how you guys got here or how did you end up getting here? >> Yeah. Yeah, so the juvenile called. Uh well, actually a woman called me. >> Fair enough. >> Um and she was saying that um they were they were calling APD and uh So, I don't know if you know Amelia's black. >> Yeah. >> Sorry. So, we just got her out. She just reported a few trials today. >> Okay. >> And um so, I completely understand that what they were saying is they wanted to see TYR, right? >> Right. >> Oh, well, I actually haven't talked to them yet. I just didn't know So, basically when I ran the juvenile's information, she was coming back as a a runaway. >> Okay. So, no, she's not a runaway. >> Okay. Just so that way I can get her out of here. >> So, she's in our program. Um I'm going to tell you something. >> Okay. >> So, we run with We're in partnership with TYR. We are responsible for these kids. So, we are the She's not a No, but no, but she's under TYR. >> So, she ages out at 23. Interesting. Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, she's a >> Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. >> Yeah, so we're talking about TYR. >> Hey, hey, you know what? Listen. So, we'll figure it out. >> So, you know you're not missing anything. >> This way. This way. This way. Thank you. Do you have a phone with you? >> No. >> No? Okay. What? That's fine. Just don't smoke in here, okay? >> What is that? Do I Do I have to close it all the >> I have to. Yeah. >> No, no, no. >> Huh? Yeah, of course they can. >> So, they're both in the same program in the same facility. Okay. And so, how did they get here? >> So, they uh she went to pre-trial and they were uh they I dropped them off. >> Okay. >> But, I had no no idea. Cuz our center Yeah, cuz our center's down the street. So, I took her to pre-trial. >> Okay. >> And they were going to buy uh groceries and they were going to Um so, there's a center that they go to for CYC. It's called the drop-in and then the Dreams Works or something. >> Uh-huh. >> So, they go and hang out there, right? >> So, um they were going to come here to get snacks and go over there. Now, I What they did inside the store, I have no idea. So, then I knew that they were here. So, when she called me, um I was like, "What?" >> Do you um have the information for the pre-trial officer? >> Um no, I don't, but I can get it for you. Now, what What we really want is for her not to get arrested. >> Um Okay, but that's I mean, it's still a possibility, right? She committed a crime. >> we understand that. And she's on pre-trial. >> Right, right. That's it. >> supposed to be >> So, >> committing crimes, period, much less on pre-trial. >> Right. >> So, I mean, that's out of my hands. I'm going to do what I need to do. And if I'm going to talk to the pre-trial officer, and if we think it's best that she gets revoked from it and goes back to jail, then that's what's going to happen. Um I mean, I'm sure the pre-trial officer and the judge and everyone was very clear as what was expected of her when she was released. And if she's choosing to willingly violate that, that's on her. Okay. So, I'm going to go. >> Yeah. >> So, can you just explain to me everything that you saw, observed, and then if I can see footage? >> Yes. So, they came in, they were called out, right? Um they were you know, we have two females coming in with bags. I started watching them. I right away noticed Amelia um just from the walk and stuff like that. Um they went and made their way to cosmetics. After cosmetics, Amelia selected some eyelashes and some glue, and then they walked out of cosmetics, went into home lines, and they went into a corner, and they started opening up the packaging. She gave the eyelashes to Amelia or to I'm sorry, to Elise. She grabbed the eyelashes, concealed it, and then Amelia got the box and threw it. And then in that little corner, she concealed the glue. So, when we brought them in here, she said, "I didn't take anything. It was all my friend." Da da da. We did the pat down. They had the stuff that we observed them select. So. >> She was like looking around. >> Oh, it's her again. She threw the box right there. And then she goes back. Amelia goes back and makes sure that she like stuffs it in the back. Um So, at that point when they go to the front, I have my partner take over camera, and then that's when I I put the packaging right back at customer service, but I went back to the floor and grabbed it, and it was empty. >> Okay. Um once we get the juvenile criminal trespass, uh we'll release you back to your custody. We have I'm not saying that So, it's just mandatory anytime a crime is committed, we have to let JSO know. >> Yeah, yeah, that's fine. >> That doesn't necessarily mean she's going to get charged with it by them, but I just have to let them know. But once we get the criminal trespass released back into your guys' custody, and then this one obviously is going to be thrown in the trash. >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> Okay, Meter. So, my name's Officer Lisciello. I think I already introduced myself. Um obviously, I told you when we were in there that you were detained, not free to leave. You're detained in regards to we have received information that the security guards from this facility had two subjects detained in regards to shoplifting, and then they were requesting our assistance, okay? Before I talk to you or ask you any questions in regards to that, I'm going to go ahead and read you your rights, okay? You have the right to stop answering at any time. Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you? Having those rights in mind, are you comfortable talking to me about what happened today? Okay. So, no? Okay. So, we won't then we'll we'll we'll take that as a no. And then we I won't ask any questions in regards to what's going on. I will be contacting your pre-trial officer just to see what our next steps are going to be in regards to you. You are going to be criminally trespassed from the property per their request. And then we also have the shoplifting portion of it as well, okay? Watch your inside can close this. So, you are going to be placed under arrest in regards to the shoplifting and the contributing to the delinquency of a minor, okay? So, in regards to your pre-trial officer, obviously he's not here. I did talk to the supervisor, okay? The supervisor is not putting forth any type of additional criminal charges. He just has to put in a petition to the judge, and the judge will decide what happens, okay? >> [laughter] >> Can I talk to him? Who are you talking to? The pre-trial officer. We can definitely try to give him a call, but that's not going to change the outcome of today, okay? But, I am more than willing to let you speak to him when we get down to the PGC. >> The teenager was trespassed and released to her custodians. The other woman, however, was charged with criminal trespassing, felony shoplifting, and for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
