On February 4th, 2025, deputies from the county sheriff's office responded to a call at the shopping center. Callers reported that a man was following women to their vehicles and making them feel uncomfortable. When deputies arrived, they observed a man matching the description provided by witnesses. The suspect was identified as Curry, who matched the description provided by callers. Deputies confirmed that Curry had previously been served with a criminal trespass order banning him from the entire shopping center, including the parking lot. The trespass order was active and valid. Despite this order, Curry was found on the property and taken into custody. >> Yep, I got him. >> Cory, are you trespassing here? >> Yes, sir. >> You are trespassed from here? Yeah. >> Okay. Why are you over here? >> Um, I was just trying to get somebody to buy me a pack of cigarettes. at the store and I was going to leave. >> Okay. So, this is like the fourth time I've been found or been called here for you following people to their cars, right? Why you keep doing that? >> I won't follow people to their cars. I was just trying to um buy a pack of cigarettes. I had money in my pocket. I was trying to get some cigarettes out of the store now. So, you trespassed in January, then you came back in December, you got arrested for being disorderly and trespassing and having a crack pipe on you. Okay? >> And then you were reissued a trespass after that. Okay? So, the problem is we've given you warnings. You keep coming back. You understand? >> Can you give me one warning? I won't come back. That's not how this works. Okay? Because this you've already been warned, right? You were warned prior to the trespass. Then you were arrested for trespassing after having been warned. And now you're being arrested for trespassing a second time. You've already been warned twice. You know you're not supposed to be here. >> You verified with me you're not supposed to be here when I came up to talk to you, right? So you That's the problem. You know you're not supposed to be here. >> You're violating that anyway. So what good is a warning going to do if you're not going to listen to it? >> Oh, I I won't come back. >> No, we're not we're not doing that because you've already been warned. Okay.
