I don't know who you I don't know who you think you are. I have never I have not dealt with somebody that is that is like acting this way in a lot of years. Ma'am, you are very entitled. You think you're in control. This is a traffic stop. >> Traffic stops are supposed to be routine, but when somebody tries to run the stop from the driver's seat, it turns into a power struggle fast. In this first body cam, a mom says she's just trying to take her [music] son to McDonald's. The officer says the reason for the stop is simple and then the stop gets complicated. >> Hi, how's it going? >> I was just taking my son for McDonald's real quick. >> All right. So, the reason you're driving with your bright lights on >> because I just came all the way from Miami. >> So, you drive with bright lights on in Miami? >> It was just dark. You know, the light the roads are dark. >> Yeah. So, you know that you actually have to turn those off with oncoming traffic the other way. If you don't, you can actually be stopped cuz it's doing uh more damage on people's eyes and then it struggles for me to see and or someone else. Okay. >> No license in hand. A rental that's really from a friend and she keeps repeating one thing. She wants to go, but the officer's tone changes the second she starts pushing back on the stop. >> You got your license uh registration insurance on you, please? >> I don't have I left my thingy at my cousin's house. I just dropped off some bags on my >> What is the thing? What does that mean? >> I left my ID. >> An ID? Okay. Driver's license. Yep. >> No, I just left it. I'm telling you. I just left it there. My My cousin lives right around the corner. >> That's fine. That's fine. >> Literally, they're right around. >> Okay. Is the car registered to you? >> Um, it's a rental. >> This a rental car? >> Yeah, it's a rental car. >> All right. Um, do you have any information? >> Yeah. This is all I have for it right now. >> Okay. >> Well, that works for now. That'll get us started. >> I'm My son is late. I just want I'm not [snorts] trying to do nothing like you know I just got McDonald's for my baby. >> You in a hurry? >> I just want to go. I'm just drove a couple of hours. Like I'm I literally just came back out to get him food. I'm tired. >> Okay. All right. >> I'm not in a hurry. So I'm sorry. >> Where you heading to? >> Courtia. >> Amelia Court Apartments. Okay. That's not too far from here. >> He's basically telling her if you stop talking this ends quicker. And right after that the officer looks down. Like I'm literally going around the corner. I just want to go home. I'm not trying to fake. I'm just asking. I'm not being stopped for the lights. >> Why are you being stopped for lights? Okay. I'm really really trying to make this a quick process. No, no, no, no. You No, no, no. I'm because you you keep talking. No, no, no. I understand. But I'm really trying to expedite this process. >> Okay. I understand. And that's that's horrible. Okay. But but just just >> I understand. But I'm trying to make this a fast process and you want to ask me questions and dispute the law on the street here. Okay. >> No, you really are. This is the third time you're you're saying this. I just want to go. I just want to go. Okay. If you want me to just go write you a ticket and slow it down even more if that's I'm just trying to get you done and out of here. >> I didn't even want to. >> Okay. So, let me do the process. I'm going to run your information and I'm planning on just coming back and giving you a verbal warning. Hey, make sure you turn your your bright lights off when you're driving around the city of Orlando because it blinds people. But but hear me out, okay? I'm in control. I'm doing my job. Okay? Trust the process. And then when we're done, I'm just going to let you go. >> But if you want to just keep saying like, "Hey, I just want to leave." You make me say, "You know what? Sounds like somebody that doesn't really care about what I'm saying." I'll go write him a ticket. >> I do care about what you're saying. I just have my baby. >> So, give me a second. >> Just please be nice cuz I have my baby. I said, "Look, you're watching this. >> I understand. >> I have my baby. >> I get it. So, let's just at the end of the day, >> all I got to do is run your information and I'm out of here." Okay. >> I understand. Why am I being pulled up on like this? >> What's that? Is that >> where >> underneath your foot? >> I don't know that that's that might be enough. >> I don't know. There's a rental. >> Hey, 95. >> Now, it's not a conversation. It's handcuffs, a search, and her kid right there hearing everything. >> I have my son in the car. Can you just give me a second? My cousin come and pick up my son. >> I saw her. It's It's right at her foot. >> Okay. >> Don't touch it. >> I'm sorry. I didn't Look, this is a rental. I swear this is a rental. >> Put your phone down. >> Okay. >> There. My baby's here. >> Do me a favor. Just keep it there. Okay. >> Can I call my family? No. >> Don't touch the phone. >> What's going on? Tyena, >> here. Open the door. Open the door. >> Ty, come and get me. Please come and get me. >> Okay, no problem. >> I have my son. Please, guys, is she going to be able to pick up my son? >> That's fine. Don't worry about it. >> Can she pick up my son? >> Can you please Can you Can you please make sure my baby's okay? Can you please make sure my baby's okay? Can you guys please make sure my baby's okay? >> He's being detained. >> The officer keeps saying detained. She keeps saying arrested. And the more she panics, the more the officer warns her about resisting. >> Excuse me. Am I going to jail? >> We're gonna come over here. >> Hey, I'm not I'm not trying to do nothing. I'm not trying to do nothing. I got shot. Look at you hurting me and I got shot. Look, I got shot recently and you're hurting me. My hand is up. >> Okay, stop resisting cuz you keep tensing up. Okay, I'm going to charge you with resisting if you keep tensing up on me. >> Sir, walk this way. >> I got shot recently. >> Walk right here. >> Sir, I got shot recently. You're hurting my arm that I got shot in. Okay, look at my clavicle. >> Here, chill. >> I got shot recently. Look at my clavicle. Look, I'm not Look, I'm not lying to you. This hurts. Can you please let this loose a little bit? And I got my meds in there. >> I need my meds. I got I can't because you guys are about toing arrest me. I got my neuro. >> Why would they arrest you for? >> Cuz they're obviously you guys are going to arrest me for that stupid ass nugget. >> Said who? >> Look what you guys got me into. >> Okay, you're being detained. I just told you you're not under arrest. >> I'm clearly under arrest. >> You're not under arrest. You're being detained. Okay, just cuz you're in handcuffs, that does not mean you're under arrest. This next one starts at a full sprint. Park, back up, get out. No context, just commands. >> Park the car. Back up. Back up. >> Park the car. Park the car. >> Park the car. >> Back up. Hey, >> back up. Get out of the car. >> Get out of the car now. >> Hey, get out. Once the shouting slows down, you realize this isn't a simple stop. It's a family blowup, kids in the middle, and competing stories about who did what. >> Get out now. >> I am. That's right. I am. >> No. Park the car and get out. >> I don't run now. >> I am. That's what I'm doing right now. >> Get out of the car now. >> Get out of the car. Unlock the car. Unlock the car now. Now. I'm not playing around. Unlock the car. Unlock the car. I'm not playing around. Unlock the car. Unlock it. Get out of the car. >> I am. >> Sure is. Let me make sure I got all my stuff with me. >> No. Get out of the car. Put your hands behind your back. >> I am. Let me put my phone in my uh >> We're not doing this. >> I know we're not. Wait a minute. I am. >> I said some words to her cuz yes, I'm upset. You just barged in my house. She got in the car, proceeded to hit me with the car three or four times. She pushed me all the way back to the door. all all the way to the door. Didn't put my hands on it and it didn't touch her or anything, but now I'm ready to now I'm ready to. Her husband, that's his mom. There's been something going on for the last couple of weeks. That car belongs to them and she took it because it's in her name. Pookie's restaurant or whatever it's called is where her husband works and she's been driving their cars in trouble and they trespass her. >> That's Oh, that's your shoes. >> That's That's my shoes. I was standing right there. She pushed me hit ME ALL THE WAY BACK THERE. >> Look at you. Did anybody else see it? >> I don't know if anybody else though. I really don't know. But I need my fiance home right now because I'm going I'm going into jail. I'm going to jail. >> Do you have any marks on your like that or just your hand? >> It's just my hands and my legs. >> Okay. And these are your she's the one that called. >> Selena. Selena's the one who called. Yes. >> She called for me cuz I I told her to call the police. >> Okay. >> And that's when she was over here asking to call the police that the uh she was trying to ram her in front of my house. >> Thing is she wanted to take my kids. I said she my kids are not you. Is that just your neighbor? That that woman in the car, that's my fiance's mother. >> Okay. >> My kids are not allowed to go with her >> for a couple of weeks >> doing weird things. So I said she's not allowed to get my kids. She came in, came in my bedroom, tried to take my kids from me. >> And then one person keeps demanding the same thing over and over. Take me to jail. But the moment officers try to move the situation forward, it turns into a standoff. >> That lady got a camera. She not on the lease. Michaela McMan is not on that lease at 9:04. Um, so I pulled up and she is actively in the front yard running this lady over like over and over. So I got my gun out and I'm like, "Put the car in park like stop." And she pulls over here and now she's in the back of the car but she refuses to answer any question. >> Somebody with me to jail. >> Okay. >> TAKE ME TO JAIL. >> Take me to jail. >> HEY, KNOCK IT OFF. >> TAKE ME TO JAIL. WHY I'M STILL HERE? >> CUZ I WANT TO GO. I don't want to see that [ __ ] TAKE ME TO JAIL. TAKE me to jail. You're trying to go to jail. >> TAKE ME TO JAIL. >> TAKE ME TO JAIL. I DON'T WANT TO SEE HER OVER THERE LYING. SHE'S LYING. >> WELL, THAT'S WHAT I'M TRYING TO figure out. >> TAKE ME TO JAIL. SHE GOT A CAMERA. That lady got a camera. All y got to do is ask her to see her phone. She got all on the camera. TAKE ME TO JAIL. TAKE ME TO JAIL. >> COME ON. Step out. Step out. >> For what? >> Step out. >> No. >> Step out. >> Why? Why am I taking stepping up? Why am I stepping up? Yeah. >> Why am I stepping up? No. >> Get on your stomach. >> No. Yeah. Make sure you don't hide my neck. >> Over and over, you hear it. Look at the camera. The suspect was charged with reckless conduct, reckless driving, and aggravated battery. Moving on, because the third body cam shows what happens when a canceled flight turns a ticket counter into chaos. >> You are entitled to give us a room. Where am I supposed to sleep? >> Where are my kids supposed to sleep? >> You don't live here. >> We don't live here. I already cry, dude. My kids. I got kids, DUDE. >> I'VE GOT KIDS, DUDE. I'm ready to go home. Tell them to help us. >> No, I don't care. I'll go to the mental office. I swear to God, I want TO GO HOME. I'VE GOT KIDS. WHERE AM I? OFFICER, where are my kids supposed to sleep? >> When you get When you get done yelling, then I'll talk. I'm not going to talk over you. Okay. >> You stop yelling, I will talk. I'm not going to talk over you when you're yelling. Okay, I understand. >> I have kids. >> What are we supposed to do? >> Of course, we have places to be. People have lives. I can't sleep tonight. >> I can't get her name because she might calling it. >> Excuse me, ma'am. What's your name? >> Canceled flight. People stranded, some with children. And the officer keeps repeating the same boundary. He can't run the airline. He can only keep the peace. >> This isn't a police issue. I'm not talking anymore. If nobody wants to scream at me and do it, you guys can keep screaming. I'll just stand here. You can keep yelling at me. Okay? They don't control the doors being shut. Goa controls the doors being shot. FAA controls the doors being shut. Spirit Airlines does not control that. >> They have more people on the plane though >> without tickets. >> What I'm saying is >> these people that are standing right here, right, do not control that. So you screaming at them doesn't do anything. I seriously >> you can scream at me all you want. It's fine. I didn't bother me. They don't they don't run. They don't run spirit. They don't run spirit, right? They can only do what they're allowed to do. >> But nobody wants peace. They want an answer. A room and somebody too. blame. >> It's crazy. Y'all got to stop lying. >> Yes. >> TRYING TO PAY US. >> ALL RIGHT. >> We deserve this [ __ ] >> Okay. I'm done being yelled at this whole time and so are they. >> I got it on camera. Good for you. >> All day. >> In a few minutes. They'll refund your money and we'll trespass you from the airport. If that's what you want, we will do that. We are not going to play this game all night. Okay. >> Then the counter closes. Tempers spike and one touch becomes the line. >> The counters are closed for now. Oh, I'm glad they're closed now, >> my man. >> Listen, listen. Why are we WHY ARE WE WHY ARE WE ON this stuff right now? >> Listen, touch me. Listen, everybody's Everybody can't act, right? >> And I'll be on my way. >> We're closed now for temporary for now. >> They're not doing anything at the moment. >> And I'll be on my way. >> Don't touch me, >> bro. Don't put your hands on. >> Don't give me your hand. >> You choking me out. >> Choking me out. After that, it's a pileup of accusations. Who touched who, who started it, and what happened behind the counter? >> He was reach behind the ticket counter like they were screaming at each other. And I was like, "All right, we're close. Everything's closed now." And he was like slamming their keyboard, right? And I was like, I pushed his hand. I was like, "Bro, you can't do that back here." He's like, "Don't touch me." He did a hit and I was like, "Step back. Keep doing that." He did the hit again. And then we locked up. And I was like, "Now you're going to jail." And he he's a big boy. He leaned in. He leaned on me and he put me in adock and went down the ground and I I passed out almost like I was like it was there. I think somebody got his arm back in the last second and then as far as your husband is concerned my understanding is like I just heard he's getting X-ray of his ankle and then after that he's going to get transported to the jail. He's got several charges but >> battery le multiple battery le charges battery by strangulation. He won't you won't be able to see him at the hospital. So >> why? because he's under arrest right now. You can't go in in the room with him or anything. So, there's officers there with him right now and then the officers will be switching off alive. >> Today, we saw three situations where tension just kept climbing. A traffic stopped that spiraled a driveway dispute that turned into a shouting match and an airport counter meltdown that ended in arrests. Thanks for watching.
