Hey, man. These guys slick. And it's back there and then Ta-Ta, either you didn't catch it at the vacuum, I don't know, but it's back there. And and Amanda had to go through the whole deal because of it. Man, you play on people's lives, man. You know, that you know, you see all the time people be you know, wrongly accused of stuff, man. Don't don't be that guy, man. Man, it's >> Amanda Prince was pulled over in Drew County, Arkansas by State Trooper Christian Walker Morphis for driving on a suspended license. She did not dispute the stop. What she disputed was what happened next. >> Bull crap, because that was not on me. >> Well, that's fine. I got a camera that watched the whole thing. >> Except for the fact that you checked me. You could have checked me out there. >> And that is rude. Priceless. >> That's fine. There's There was a camera back there that >> Yeah, there was a camera all except for the fact that you did not check me. >> You're a female. How am I supposed to pat you down? >> You could have told me to do it. >> Are you going to turn around or you going to run your mouth? >> You could uh-uh, man. >> All I'm saying is there was a camera that locked that was facing the backseat the whole time. All I've got to do is go pull the camera back. >> Please, please, please, because that's not mine. >> I will. But here's what you need to understand. Okay? 10 minutes before I stopped you, I just searched my car and that wasn't in there. >> I still say >> You're the only person that's been in my backseat. Okay? I checked my car Let me finish. I checked my car at the beginning of shift and the end of shift and I just checked it. You're the only person that's been there. And it didn't magically appear. Okay? >> Okay, it did not come off of >> Your Your argument that I didn't check you? >> But that I meant but you could have had me >> no. That's not how we operate. When you got out, I realized you didn't have any weapons on you, okay? That's my priority at that point, right? I can't pat you down. You're a female. Once I realize that you don't have any weapons on you, that's about all I can do. So. >> I promise you that didn't come off of me. Please. >> They don't >> Please review. >> I will, but you're probably getting charged with it. >> Okay, but please review the camera. >> Have a seat. >> I swear to God, I did not lie. >> He was right that there was a camera. He was wrong about what it showed. That camera is the reason his case collapsed. >> Why did you get her out the truck before you went through your whole bias basically in the state? >> Cuz I had a pathetic attitude. >> Yeah. >> Uh there was a string of 6 to 8 months where I had a pathetic attitude. >> I I I can sit here and and >> tell you excuse A to B to Z and it's not going to make a difference. It doesn't excuse my attitude. I had None of that excuses my attitude. Uh I had an attitude problem. Uh I'm aware of that. I'm I'm working on it. I can't tell you it's 100% fixed, but I can tell you that it we're miles from where we started. >> to tell you. >> I don't think you're getting the hint. >> I do. >> I don't I don't think you do. >> Yeah, cuz I got insurance tags. >> You did That's all fine and dandy except you don't have a license. >> I'm fine. >> You're driving going to the freaking grocery store is not driving. You want to see my backseat. >> I'm driving, dude. >> I just went to Kroger. >> Go have a seat in my backseat. >> Okay, okay, okay. >> We'll walk. >> I Okay. >> Do you have anything on your person? >> No. >> When they search you at the jail, are they going to find anything? >> No. >> Before investigators even get to the cocaine, Morpheus admits he had what he calls a pathetic attitude for 6 to 8 months straight. He has apologized in open court multiple times. His supervisors have watched the dash cam footage. He knows how it looks. What he does not yet understand is that the attitude problem is the least of what investigators have on him today. >> Cuz I mean it watching it, listening to it, it it appears as if you were you were pissed off at her. I mean like >> I I Yes, I mean I I I think honestly, I was just mad I was at work. Honestly, I mean if if I have a pathetic attitude and and it it's it's an embarrassment to the agency. It's an embarrassment to me. You know, I hate that you probably watched this video 20 times. The command staff has watched it. I hate it. >> Yeah. >> Uh it looks horrible and I know it does. >> Oh, and to add to that when I'm when I'm talking to these prosecutors and defense attorneys and they're saying well, it probably didn't help, you know, cuz it the way he was acting. >> Right. >> You know what I mean? That's just something you need to consider. How how about >> Well, and I understand. I've had to testify or apologize in open court several times for my attitude in that time frame. And and I'm I'm facing the repercussions of it every day and it it's all I can tell you and the command staff is I'm working on it. >> When they search you at the jail, they're not going to find anything. >> Absolutely not. Absolutely not. >> Okay, have a seat. Do you think that turned up on the seat? >> No. >> Any Texas to be looking? >> No. >> Okay. So, you cuffed her and you just put Why didn't you do any kind of pat down on her, man? >> [sighs] >> Only thing I can think of is I was I was I had tunnel vision and and hey, this is the however many times we stopped you going to jail. I'm ticked off cuz I'm at work and having to deal with you again. So, we're just going to jail for driving on suspended. >> He cuffed her and put her in the back seat without a pat down. He admits it. And that decision left a hole in the case that was only about to get bigger. >> I tell everybody the same thing I'm telling you. There's anything on your person that I'm not saying there is, but I tell everybody that. >> You said they charge right now. [music] >> It's equal across the board. It's a felony and >> I don't have anything on me. I don't have anything. >> I swear to God. I'm just saying I tell everybody. >> I understand. >> People can't say I didn't give them a fair shot. >> No. I will never say that you did. >> Morpheus, you get her there, you get her out. Now, what walk me through what happened once you once you get her out to the patrol car. >> So, as soon as I pull up to the sally port, I cut my camera. Uh that's just I don't know if it's good technique, it's just what I've I've always done. I know that there's cameras in the sally port. So, as soon as I pull up, I cut my camera. Walk around to the back side of my car. Uh open up the back door. Ask her to step out. >> Hold on, let me let me let me pause right there. And that was one of my questions. You cut your camera off, but then you cut it right back on. >> So, I cut it off and then the way I understand or the way I remember it is I cut it off and then whenever I asked her to step out and I see the bag of crack cocaine [snorts] at her feet, I immediately cut it back on because I didn't want there to be a gap in in video for court or whatever else, you know. So, I I That's the best way I can remember it. Whenever she steps out, uh I see the bag at her feet. >> Okay. >> Uh I don't know if she's already at the front of my car or ask her to go stand at the front of my car. Open up my passenger door, reach in, grab another glove. >> Mhm. >> Uh and then go back and pull the dope uh from the floorboard. So, this that half cage and there's a bar that comes up under the the passenger seat and it was right under that bar right near her right foot. >> Okay. >> Uh and when I open up the door to ask her to step out, all I saw was just a clear bag uh and immediately recognized, "Hey, that's probably dope." >> Okay. >> What he is describing is a window with no recording right at the moment the drugs appear. And when investigators reviewed the footage that did exist, [music] it did not show what Morphis later described in his report. And that report is where everything falls apart. >> moving very erratically for a short period of time and appeared to be digging in her waistline shortly before the narcotics were found. Now, Walker, I know that you reviewed this video, the whole 42 minutes with your captain. >> Yes, sir. >> Major Casey has reviewed it, my team has reviewed it several >> Right. >> ways. Ms. Prince never did that. >> Okay. >> She never did that. We even had we handcuffed one of the civilian ladies here similar height and size to determine the type of movement it would take to get those narcotics from her waistline as you stated to the floorboard. >> She never dug in her waistband, not once. So, investigators did something Morphis never did. They tested his theory. >> area which is part of this complaint. The complainant in this case was handcuffed behind her back with the palms facing outward. Ms. Ashley is handcuffed in the same fashion. So, Ms. Ashley, would you have a seat? Now, I want you to do uh minimal movement. Try to uh go your your your your back against the the chair. Use minimal movement to to maneuver those narcotics down to your feet. >> [music] >> Thank you. >> The demonstration could not do it. Getting the drugs over to the right side was the furthest they could manage. Her feet were too far away. The movement Morphis described in his report was physically impossible. >> Okay. >> I don't I just I I But you But But Listen listen to what you wrote. A review of my backseat camera revealed Ms. Prince moving very rapidly for a short period of time and appeared to be digging in her waistline shortly before the narcotics were found. So, that would be shortly before the time that you located it either on the way to the jail or while you were had pulled up at the jail. This This is what you wrote. Shortly before the narcotics were found. >> So, there's the time that and Captain and I went back and watched it and the prosecutor and I went back and watched it before court. There's a time that after the tow truck arrives that it's it's now from this side looking in, it's my new, but at the time it she's here on like her right side that she's moving around and looking turning around like this. That's the only time that I can sit here and tell you that I'm calling erratic movement. >> When pressed on the report, Morphis admits the erratic movement he described was actually Amanda turning her head while the tow truck was parked nearby. That is it. Turning her head. That is what he called erratic movement and digging in her waistband in an official police report that was used to charge her with a felony. >> erratic movement. >> So, Morphis, let me tell you the concern with that. In in order to have note note noted that, you would have had to watch your video from start to finish while at the jail. I have the time that you made your very next stop after you left the jail. It's no you you you had made another stop within an hour. You see what I'm saying? So, your report is saying that you that you you knew Miss Prince dropped the dope because she was moving erratically, but you hadn't even reviewed any of that before you charged them. >> That report, the only thing I can think of is that a few days after the fact after I or before I went and submitted the report, I went back and watched the video and that's why I typed that. It's because I I reviewed the video prior to typing the report. >> So, again, Morphis, we I can tell when you review them. >> Yes, sir. >> That didn't happen. You you never I got the logs right the audit logs right here. You never There was never a time where you went and it was uploaded to the server and you reviewed the stop. To charge somebody with felonies such as this this this is a A A felony. >> Yes, sir. >> 10 g crack cocaine. Possession with intent to deliver. >> He charged a woman with a class A felony, possession with intent to deliver, based on a narrative he may have constructed entirely in his own head. >> You show what is dope that you believe to be meth. You toss it on the front of your car. Did you Did you know that you left it out there? >> Mhm. >> You You went into jail, the Sallyport door closed, the dope still sitting on your on the top of your car. >> No, I didn't even realize that. >> So, you're in there, you're going through your spiel with her, you're reading your rights, and then you come back out, and then that's when you get the dope, and then you cut You go around and you cut your camera off. >> Need you to know from this, please. >> Open the back door. >> Yeah, so I'm going to back out. >> I'm I'm hung up on this incident report and the things that you stated in your incident report. And And I'll just tell you, Morphis, looking at this and even talking to command staff, the way it is viewed is that you were trying to make your make your court case. >> Okay. >> There's at no point that she digging in her waistline. And I'm just I'm just going to tell you, Morphis, that's a lie. She never dug in her waistline. >> Okay. >> She The erratic movement, her turning her head is the most movement that that she did. And, Morphis, you you lost to a public defender. >> Right. >> So, you know that the case wasn't strong. Your incident report wasn't even submitted with the with the case file that that James Dim had. Why Why was that? >> I don't have an answer for that. I'll tell you. I didn't find that out until I met with the prosecutor a week or so before the case and didn't realize that I didn't submit it. I didn't even I didn't even realize that it wasn't submitted due to detail. >> The incident report was never submitted to the prosecutor. The drug task force agent who presented the case to court went off what Morphis told him verbally. He told that agent Amanda turned all the way around. The video shows she turned her head. Those are not the same thing. And the judge, the defense attorney, and the jury all eventually saw the same footage investigators are looking at right now. >> It never crossed my mind. >> So, so you're you're playing with with with our life, man. You talking about 6 years class A felony. You know, but and you don't you're not 100% that the dope is hers. >> No, sir, it was not. >> But you but the way you articulated in your report, you're you're saying things that she didn't do, man. That's That's what I'm trying to communicate to you. You've also told this to DTF. You got them involved. And and now they're going off what you're telling them, and they're going through with a case file. Without your police report, they just got what you said that she turned all the way James wrote that that you told him that she turned all the way around. That means that she then turned all the way around versus turning her head. So, I mean, this was a terrible case to present to the courts, man. You know? Looking at your report, okay, well, he said he reviewed it, she was moving very rapidly and digging in her waistline. That never occurred, Morpheus. That never occurred. So, was you trying to build a case? I mean, what what was going through your head when you typed this? >> Even after we lost it in court, there was never a a doubt in my mind that it was hers. I felt good about it. I felt confident about it. Your case is built upon the fact that she backed you in your car. You didn't see the dope then, and she's the only person been in there. Why not leave it there? It's It's when you add these extra layers about her moving erratically, you even talking about the red clay from the So, it's like you're trying to persuade somebody. >> The deeper investigators looked, the less this case rested on evidence, and the more it rested on Morpheus's determination to believe she was guilty. And they were about to uncover an even bigger problem for Morpheus. >> tampering with physical evidence and obstructing governmental operations. Let's Let's not forget the other charges that you put on her. So, where is your evidence? I mean, what is What is your proof that she did this? What is How are you coming up with these charges? If you were to just charge her with possession cuz it was there, but now you're saying that she's obstructing and she's tampering with evidence. Do you Do you know where the dope come from? >> I've watched the video. Captain LT showed me a video prior to this stop, a couple days prior to this stop, that that he was doing some moving in in my backseat. >> Yes, sir. We'll be there in like 2 minutes. All right. I tell the same I tell everybody the same thing. Uh when we get in here, for safety and your policy, if you're bringing into the jail, it's a felony. You don't need felony. So, if there's anything on you, you need to tell me now. Cuz when we cross that door and we search, it's going to be even worse. >> No, no. >> Knives, knives, bombs, and grenades, any kind of drugs, prescription or not prescription? >> No, sir. >> This cat here that you arrested on the 14th, this is the guy that had the dope. And let me show you show you this video. This cat had all the main fools. He had $3,600 cash, had a pistol. Make Only only dope runners can you know walk walk around like that. Absolutely. He got the dope in his left in his left hand. Watch what he do. Right down in his coveralls. He's trying to walk away from you. Tyler sees it, but he but he don't slick. But this cat slick. And it's back there. And Ty Ty, either you didn't catch it in the vacuum, I don't know, but it's back there. And and Amanda had to go through the whole deal because of it. Man, you play with people's lives, man. You know that you know you see all the time people be you know wrongly accused of stuff, man. Don't don't be that. >> The investigator never says Morpheus planted the drugs. His point is that Morpheus had nowhere near enough evidence to charge Amanda. His case rested on two assumptions. The cruiser was clean after he vacuumed it and Amanda was the only person who could have left the cocaine there. But instead of proving either one, he built a written narrative around things the camera shows never happened. >> They got me. Man, check, you know, check, watch that video. See her in there. Go home, wait till upload watch and go back up there and charge her. Send it to the crime lab. Do what you Do your due diligence. >> Yes, sir. >> As a result of this case, Amanda lost her home, her job, and her deceased father's truck while waiting for trial. Facing decades in prison over drugs she said were never hers, Amanda Prince was acquitted by a jury. The dashcam footage and the contradictions in Morphis's report were enough. After the internal investigation concluded, Arkansas State Police fired Morphis in 2025. Investigators found no evidence that he intentionally planted the drugs, but they did find police work so flawed that an innocent woman nearly went to prison. On May 22nd, 2026, Amanda filed a federal civil rights lawsuit under 42 USC Section 1983. Less than 3 weeks later, Morphis was unanimously decertified by Arkansas's Law Enforcement Standards Commission. And now, the same incident report investigators tore apart, the one describing movements the camera never showed, is part of the case against him. The investigator said it plainly in that room, "You're playing with people's lives. At what point did you realize Morphis's report and the footage were never going to match?"
