pull up in my yard. I'm like, "What's your problem?" And he went to go punch my husband through the window. We go through the yard. He picks up a big foot that rock and he slammed throws it at the back of my car, which is all up now. And I was going to press charges. And then he takes the machete and throws it at him. Was it still >> Where did he get the machete from? When he threw the machete in that post, were you in fear that it was going to hit you? >> Yes. I was in fear for my life that was going to me. >> Hold on, bud. Chill out. >> Chill out. >> Bad neighbors can make life a nightmare. pushing limits and terrorizing everyone living around them, thinking they can't be stopped. [music] But when karma hits them where it hurts, what happens? >> All you have to do is go inside and walk away. >> THAT'S MY HUSBAND. YOU JUST UP MY ENTIRE LIFE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT? WHY THE DIDN'T YOU RUN? I BOUGHT YOU ALL KINDS OF TIME. I hate you. >> Okay. >> I hope you I hope each one of you get in the head so they made it. You get to go home and be your wife either. >> She's threatening to [music] burn the house down. She's threatening to sh in the head. >> Yeah. Same thing she was saying before before we left. >> Okay. Okay. Wait, wait, wait. Mom and beer. I said mom and beer. I said, >> "I hope your house burns down and I hope you get." That's what I said. But I didn't say that I was going to do that. I don't even have I don't even own a So, I was just mad. I'm sorry. >> Here are satisfying moments when evil neighbors finally get what they deserve. Starting with 22-year-old Marina Brandon, a nightmare neighbor who believes she could terrorize everyone around her with pepper spray and walk [music] away untouched. >> She told her she was going to pepper spray her tissue. >> She pepper sprayed the front door. smart enough to go back inside. >> We're knocking on anybody's door today. >> No, I was not. You literally have your car in Belair Matis Woods at 1238. You're telling me that's not you? >> That's not me. >> I saw you and the car. Yes. On June the 1st, 2023, police responded to a home after an elderly woman reported a stranger pounding on her door, desperately looking for someone who wasn't there. When the woman returned, the situation turned even darker. She [music] tried to pepper-spray the elderly woman. As officers arrived and tried to understand the situation, a chilling realization surfaced. >> How about how long ago was this >> here? Let me see the date of when I told you she left the door and stole the car. 12:24 the Ultima was here. >> Okay. And I think she was driving it. >> You've seen the car before. >> I think she parked down there and then when she left, I think she was the one driving the car, too. >> Okay. You just didn't get a good face picture of her? >> I remember her face. >> It's like some chick showed up. She was looking for some What was Who was she looking for? >> Lauren. >> Lauren. Looking for a Lauren. But they've been here for like 8 years. No. Lauren's ever lived here. Pounded on the door. She said Lyndon lived next door. Is that what it was? >> Laura. Laura. >> So went next door to see if Lauren was over there cuz the lady's name is Lauren or Laura. Then she came back. She was pounding on the door. She's like, she told her she was going to pepper spray her. >> She pepper sprayed the door. >> Smart enough to go back inside cuz I said, "I'm done with you. I'm calling the cops. I'm done with >> you noticing before you. >> I know. >> I don't know if you can see if you hit this and it'll if you can watch the video. I don't know. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> I think that'll just uh >> prepare it so they can see it again. >> Oh, okay. >> Anybody hurt? >> No. >> No. >> With crystal clear evidence [music] pointing straight to Marina, officers moved fast and tracked her down within minutes. But confronting her was one thing. It was getting her to admit that she was [music] the person they were looking for. Well, that was another ma'am. >> I need to talk to you. What's your name? >> My name? >> Yes. >> Carolina. >> Karolina. Okay. Is this your house? >> Yes. >> Okay. Well, I've been trying to find you and speak to you about something >> about what? >> All right. Something that happened down the road. >> Oh, what happened down the road? I just came from Publix. >> You just came from Publix? >> Yeah. >> Are you home by yourself? >> No, with my daughter. >> How's your daughter? >> She's like two. >> I'll speak to you in a minute about it. All right. Are you okay? >> Yeah. Am I being detained? >> Um, yes. >> For what? >> I'll speak to you. >> For when am I being detained? How's the phone? I'll take care of the uh the phone. >> Can I grab it? Can you give it to me? My boyfriend and I have a daughter in there by herself. >> I'll take care of that. Okay. I'll make sure she's okay. >> No, but I don't I She doesn't She hasn't with other people, bro. Can you grab my phone so I can talk to my Can I talk to my boyfriend? >> What's your daughter's name? >> My dog. I have three dogs. They >> Oh, my daughter. >> Yeah. So, this is what's going on. I'm going explain to you. I wasn't at these houses where things occurred. >> Other deputies. Okay. They're going to speak to you. I don't know about the story. Okay. I just knew I had to find you and your vehicle. >> What house is? I just came from Publix. >> Okay, we'll figure that out. >> Okay, then we will figure it out. >> Okay. >> So, why am I being detained? >> I'll explain to you. >> No, but explain it to me now cuz >> there's an incident outside your mom's house. >> What? I didn't even go to my mom's house. >> We'll figure that out. Okay. >> Okay, then what? >> We'll talk to you about it. Okay, >> then what? Why am I being >> What's your daughter's name one more time? >> I think it's just going to Miranda cuz she's in the video like spraying. >> I didn't check her car or nothing like playing you or nothing. See pepper spray. Her mom said she freaked out of her mind right now. She was full of her. >> Well, she was saying she was high. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> No, no. >> Well, I was expecting >> I was expecting anything. >> Oh, yeah. She's been going around the whole people's door. >> I have all my >> Yeah, because you're detaining me for no reason. >> I'm yelling at you. >> You're detaining me. >> Every time Every time I come in contact with you, you have this attitude for some reason. Because why am I being detained if I'm just trying to go home and take my daughter home? >> Acting like this. First of all, >> I'm at my house. I can act however the I want to act. >> Well, we're doing an investigation. >> Over what? What's the investigation >> for allegations? For criminal >> criminal what? Criminal >> criminal things that you have done. >> What? What did I do? >> I'm not ahead of this case. >> Well, you better find your sergeant. Go get your sergeant. I want to speak to your sergeant. >> My sergeant is the one who put you in handcuffs. >> Okay, go get him. Go get him. >> So, the deputy in charge of what we're working on right now, >> nobody's telling me why I'm being detained. Nobody's telling me why I'm back back here in the car. >> You know why? So, listen. We want to get your baby taken care of. Is Is the baby and you and the father are y'all good? >> Yeah, we're fine. >> Okay. That was who you were talking to. Right now, we're both We're concerned about your baby. >> Yeah, I'm concerned, too. She doesn't [ __ ] with people. >> We're not going to mess with your baby. >> Okay. Well, I don't trust men around my baby. >> Well, that's silly. Well, you know, that's how it is because people get I'm not dumb. I got when I was little, so I don't trust people. >> I understand. >> So, give me my baby, bro. She was standing here with me. >> So, no. >> Car was like that. The child was standing next to it. I did a U-turn, came back, the child was gone. The girl came out of the house was in the child was behind her. I secured her. >> What do we got charged with? >> The my 65year-old. That's all we have. They said that mom doesn't want to pursue over there. I mean, as far as her leaving the kid outside, I don't know. >> I mean, it was real quick. >> Yeah. So, I mean, >> if you just want to arrest her for the mom over there, there was just what? No. Like, she didn't try to hurt her or anything. No detail. >> I don't know anything about that. I just know that she tried breaking into the house. >> Even the officers were surprised by how fiercely Marina rejected every accusation, spinning her own version of events with such conviction that it only deepened the tension at the scene. >> What's going on today? >> What's going on today? I went to my mom's house and my grandma put her hands on me. Why? You can. >> What's your grandmother's name? >> My grandma Lupila. >> Lupila. Okay. >> She put her hands on me. You can see if you look at my arms. I didn't touch her back because you can check her arms and I didn't touch her back. I left. >> I understand. >> I left. >> Is that your car? >> Yes, that is my car. >> Was you in any chance around Lindsay Place? >> No, I've not drove down the L section at all. >> You sure? >> Yes. I just went straight to my mom cuz my mom was supposed to give me money. >> Okay. Do you own pepper spray? >> No, I don't own pepper spray. You can search my car to see Stephven if you want. You would see pepper spray. I don't own pepper spray. >> Calm down. >> Because I'm heated because like Well, if you were in my situation, wouldn't you be heated, too? >> Yes, I would. >> Okay. >> Your your concerns. Calm down. >> My concern right now. We We'll take care of that. Today, were you looking for some girl named Lauren today? >> No, I was not. I don't even know Lauren. >> Or knocking on anybody's door today? >> No, I was not. I just went straight to my mom's house cuz she said she was going to give me money. Where were you? Where were you like uh an hour ago? >> Here at home. Here. And then I packed her up and I went to my mom's house. And then we got into an argument and I left. >> Okay. You got into an argument here? >> At my mom's house. >> Where did she live? >> She lives at Ba Not Ba Paradise, but she lives like um I I lived here for a while, but um Belmore. It's Belmore. >> Okay. What time were you there? >> Literally like 30 minutes ago. Not even >> So you was there like around 1:45? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I just got home, too. >> You just got home right now? just got home and I saw you guys pull up >> from your mother. >> Yes. >> But you had an argument with her. >> Yes. She literally attacked me. My grandma attacked me and she had marks all over my arms. >> Okay. How long were you in your grandma's house? >> I was in my grandma's house for 15 minutes until I left because they got to. >> Where were you before that? >> I was home. >> So you The only reason why I went to my mom's house is because she was supposed to give me money. >> Okay. So you saying this is your home, right? >> Yes. >> You was here. >> Yes. >> And then you left to your mom's house and you came back. >> Yes. >> Hey. All right. Why I'm confused on why it means K. >> So, let me ask. >> Are you the only person that's [music] used your car today? >> No. >> Who else used your car? >> My friend. >> Who's your friend? >> She used it earlier this morning at 9:00 in the morning. >> Is that her name? What's your friend's name? >> Harris. Harris. >> Harris. >> Harris. >> What time did she give you your car back? >> She gave me car my car back at like 10:00. Like in an hour. >> So, you've had your car between the hours of 10:00 [music] p.m. and off right now? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, at 12:38, would you have had your car? Yeah, I would have, but I didn't leave. I called my mom on my phone telling her I was on the way. >> So, we literally have your car at Belair and Matanis Woods at 12:38. You're telling me that's not you? >> That's not me. >> Even though you said you had your car between 10:00 p.m., 10:00 a.m. and now. >> That is not me. Cuz I left and I went straight to my mom's house. I had an argument with my mom and I went home. >> So, now you're contradicting yourself because you said you had your car since 10:00 a.m. when your friend gave it back to you. >> Yeah. And I haven't left my house at 10:00 a.m. >> Since 10:00 a.m. You haven't left? >> I HAVE NOT LEFT. I just came back. I literally left for 30 minutes. >> So that car has been here all day? >> Yes. All day. This car has been here since 9:00. My friend used my car. She brought it back around like 10 10:30 and then I haven't used it until 30 minutes. >> That car has been spotted at Belair in Matangas Woods. It's 12:38. So you're either lying to me or something else. >> I'm not lying. So >> because I literally looked at it and your car was literally a Belair. >> Well, I'm not lying. So, I don't know what you're trying to pin on me because I literally just went to my mom's house to get some money for my rent. And then we got into an argument and I left. >> All right, listen. Are you on? >> No, I'm not. >> I'm not. >> Are you hyper? >> No, because I'm hyper cuz I'm pissed. >> I understand that. But you need to calm down. >> After being given chance after chance to tell the truth, Marina held her ground. With patients wearing thin and the clock ticking, [music] the officers were left with only one option. >> I understand that, but we have video of you and Lindsay. Of who? >> You. Not here. It's somewhere else. >> Lindsy. >> Yeah. I don't have a busy place. >> No, it's a it's a street. >> I don't even went down. >> But we have video of you there. There's literally video. >> Okay, then where is it at? Because I wasn't there. >> I have it. That's you. >> I wasn't there. >> I saw the image of you. And >> I wasn't there though. You can literally ask her. You can even call my mom and ask her. She She'll tell you I've been there for 30 minutes. And then I went home cuz I called her right before I left. I said, "I'm leaving my house. to go to the trash and I'll come back. >> You said there's uh injuries on your arms. >> Would you mind stepping out so I can take pictures of it? >> So, ma'am, I'm going to have you step out. Don't do anything crazy. Don't do anything funny. >> I'm not crazy. My daughter >> I didn't say you were crazy. >> Can you handcuff me so I can show you? >> I cannot. >> Turn to your left or your right. Sorry. So, it's on your arm right here. >> Yes. >> It's on both my arms. >> Okay. Turn back. >> Okay. You have to go get the box. >> And then I left. >> So you can go check on my grandma and she will have no marks cuz I left. Sit down. Sit down. >> I'm not going to put my hands on my grandma. I'm sitting down. >> But you guys act like I'm the one who's getting your breath or I'm not. Like what? Am I allowed to get out? >> Yep. Okay. Yeah. We're going to get you. I'll put you in a separate car. >> The separate car? >> Yeah. That part that's >> If you realize anything on you, if you go within the trail and anything's on >> I have nothing on me. I know. I I've already know I know how the law works. >> Okay. >> I know. I don't have nothing. >> Okay. You wasn't going around today looking for a woman like you didn't knock on anybody else's doors. >> No, I was not. >> You have video. >> I don't I was not going anywhere. I was feeding my daughter breakfast this morning. She wakes up at like 11. >> 11. She wakes up at 11:00. >> I'm just being honest with you. See, I'm being honest with you. I have a video. >> Okay. >> I want And I want you to think about it. Don't argue. >> We have a video. >> Okay. >> Okay. And it was coming. >> It was you. >> How do you know it was me? >> Because I see your face and I see people the person on the video and it looks just like you. >> It looks just >> driving the same car. >> Driving the same car. Then pull up the video. Pull up the video. Let me see the video. Then >> you were in the same mushroom shirt and leggings and your hair was the same way. >> I have friends who wear the same shirt. >> So you were holding your phone and spraying pepper spray on the door from the video. >> I don't own pepper spray. Look at my car. What's happening with >> This is the investigator. He's the one you need to cooperate and talk to him about because he's the one every right now that's going to hold everything in in your in his hands is what you do next. Tell the truth or lie if you can tell. >> Sweetheart, listen to me. Please. We have you on video. Don't lie to us. >> I'm telling you. >> Okay. Listen. I'm sure there's >> I literally called my mom 10 minutes before I left her house. >> Listen, listen to what I'm saying. If I didn't see you on video, then I I would say I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. But I'm telling you right now, >> you're saying you saw me and a car. >> I saw you and the car. Yes. >> Okay, then. Where's the video? Pull it up. >> I >> pull it up >> to show you. >> Yeah, show me. Please pull it up. >> Roll her window up. Drop your laptop down. Just keep an eye on her right now. >> Closing out the incident. Marina was charged with on a person 65 or older and criminal mischief under $200. Following that shocking incident, the next case shifts to a neighborhood where danger wore a far more ordinary face as a hot-headed woman lost it when her neighbors refused to help conceal her criminal husband. >> You know, I had the worst night. Like, I hope you all get shot in the night. Every last one of you. I hate you. I hope each and one of you get in the head so that neither one of you get to go home your wife either or your kids. If I could myself, I would. I hope your house burns down and I hope you get That's what I said. You dumb. You should have let him hide is what I said to her. >> On August the 12th, 2024, officers were dispatched to a quiet neighborhood after receiving an anonymous call about a man hiding in a backyard. Someone who had already violated a protection order. When they arrived, they were met by his wife and her unsettling demeanor instantly told them that this call was far from ordinary. >> All right. Hello. >> Hi. >> What's going on? over here. So, what's going on? >> Interested. For >> the first time ever, I'm going to keep my mouth shut. You guys, you guys are pieces of hope you know that. >> Okay. Do you want to provide a statement or anything? >> Yeah. You guys are And you should all That's my statement. >> Were you aware of the order between you guys? >> Yeah. The order that you guys put on there that I've been trying to get out for 10 years. Yeah. I'm aware of that. >> Okay. >> You know, I have the worst I've ever hope you all get shot in tonight. Every last one of you. I hate you. I am not going to go anywhere near him. I know the rules. >> Well, you're going in his direction. >> I don't know where the freak country. Get me. Don't arrest me in front of my daughter, dude. >> That's your choice. >> No, it's yours. >> Yeah. All you have to do is go inside and walk away. >> That's my husband. YOU JUST UP MY ENTIRE LIFE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT? WHY THE DIDN'T YOU RUN? I BOUGHT YOU ALL kinds of time. >> You're trying to get him to run away. >> Get him away. >> Yeah, I want him to run. And we're we're going on vacation right now. We're leaving for vacation. My ex-boyfriend Colombian daughters right there. We're going on a vacation like when 10 minutes we would even been here. How would you like if someone showed up with your with you? Why I haven't ruined your no contact with >> if against your will that you've gone to court multiple times to get rid of and they just won't do it because they're stupid. Do you understand that you're ruining our life? >> I'm not ready. >> Yes, you are. Let him go. >> I'm not I can't do that. You know that, right? >> Right. I know that BECAUSE YOU GUYS ARE OUT FOR THE FED Police Department is only out to hurt people. You guys won't do any good in the world. >> That's not true. I love you. I'm so sorry, Justin. I won't make sure that Justin pays for THIS WITH HIS LIFE. I hate you. >> Okay. >> I hope you I hope each one of you and so then neither one of you could go home and be your wife either or your kids. If I could myself, I would. >> Hey, can you say goodbye to his daughter? >> No. >> Cuz you're acting like that. You're going to make it worse for her. >> Did she give her dad a hug? >> No. >> Please. >> No. You of your behavior. >> Yeah. >> Your behavior. No, it's too late. Like that. Yeah. >> You're not going to threaten our lives. Call us for marks and then ask us for a favor. >> No. >> After we're protecting an order that protects you. >> It doesn't protect. >> It does. And I'm not going to argue with you, but no, she cannot see him right now. >> She can't give him 100. He told him for like 10 years. >> She just wants I think you're causing her more problems than than he is at this point. >> You're goddamn right. I am. >> Yeah, you are. I don't think that's very kind of you as a mother. >> You've already told me that. Can we bounce? I don't think she's going to. >> We're ready to go. >> Yeah, let's just go. >> Yep. You want me to take him up there? >> We have him. He's going back to PD. Okay. >> She doesn't want to do it again. >> OKAY. >> I hope YOU'RE ALL [ __ ] HAPPY NOW. I HOPE YOU FEEL REAL GREAT INSIDE. >> YOU GET THE OFF MY STREET. He's coming here. >> God damn you. >> I should give her a pamphlet. >> Should I give her a pamphlet? She >> shut up. Get off my property. You [ __ ] pamphlet. We need to do a goddamn trip. You did. We're going on vacation and you have my ex-boyfriend. You guys are horrible people. People, >> it looked like the situation was finally over and everyone could move on. But that sense of relief did not last. Moments later, officers were called back by the neighbors, and [music] the new complaint the officers heard couldn't be less shocking. Proof that sometimes the most [music] unsettling trouble lives right next door. >> Um, the neighbor is over there yelling it currently, correct? >> Yep. >> Uh, would you be willing to uh aid in prosecution if we can develop uh some sort of criminal threats from this? >> Yep. >> Okay. >> Um, what is she saying to you? She told me that she's going to in my head that her is on her way down here. She's going to set my house on fire that I to her. She knows I lose this everything like she's called me several times. >> Okay. Um, how does that make you feel? How are you feeling right now? >> I'm one scared for my life cuz I'm being threatened to be and two I own my home and so her threatening to damage my property is ridiculous. >> So you believe that there is potential credibility to her threat? >> Yes, I do. >> I do. Is she armed with anything right now or? >> She's outside calling somebody else too, yelling for somebody else. >> Are you and your family safe inside right now? >> Huh? >> Are you and your family inside away from her? >> Uh, we had to put a TV into the car and that's how we got into this altercation. And now >> is your family back inside? >> Yeah, we're heading back inside. >> Yeah, I would just say go inside, lock the doors, try to keep distance from her. >> Okay, we'll go inside. Um, she's calling the police on somebody else that's leaving her house right now, too. She's claiming that they have weapons, which is a lot. >> No, I totally understand. Um, we'll have some paperwork probably to do with you when we get there. Hopefully, we'll be there soon. >> Okay. Thank you. >> So, I know we we talked about it before, but she's starting We have a niece in here. She's talking he's been >> he he's been sitting here the whole time knowing that she's threatening to burn the house down. She's threatening to her in the head. >> Yeah. Same thing she was saying before before we left. >> The other lady, whoever she just did, she's gone. But she was that's who she called the police on just now. I'm afraid for my niece. >> Yep. >> Um in regards and she's literally saying [music] she just called somebody to bring a literally said I just called somebody to come here and >> for 30 minutes about all >> Can you guys do me a favor? Can you go write down your full first name, middle initial, last name, date of birth, phone number? >> Okay. >> Um on a piece of paper for me and go wait inside. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Yep. And you guys, I'm assuming you guys know this lady. >> Okay. >> How you doing? >> So, you were talking with her? >> Yeah. >> What's she have to say? >> She's upset because they took her. >> Yeah. Yeah. I know what she's upset about. >> She's talking about burning their house down. She's crazy. You know that she's I'm trying to cool her down, telling her you going to have a heart attack. You know, just go back in the house. You know, she >> You okay, >> girl? Yes. Okay. Come over here. >> You all right? >> I'm fine. I'm just here. It's been one of those days. So, I don't want >> I just got off of work and I'm getting getting here to pick up my kid and trying to figure out what's going on over here. And it's >> so I can tell you she and her husband >> Yeah. >> have a no contact order. >> Okay. >> She is protected from him. >> Yeah. >> An anonymous person called today and told us that he was here in violation of the order. >> When we show up, he's outside. He runs inside the house. >> Right. >> Mhm. >> She comes out saying, "He's not here." >> Yeah. >> I don't He's not here. He's He He doesn't live here. We haven't seen him. Just want to cooperate. Yeah. >> They call us 5 minutes later saying the homeboy is in their backyard. >> Yeah. >> So I go inside, see him sitting in the backyard. He sees me. I take a picture of him. He comes out here. We arrest him, take him to jail. >> Okay. >> She is pissed. >> Yeah. >> But we arrested him and ruined their vacation. She's out here running her mouth, calling everybody every name under the sun. >> That's what my sister does. She's calling nword. >> So now your sister called us to come back and deal with her again. So I'm waiting for other officers to come out and deal with her. Her attitude left officers with no choice but to step in. Yet, this wasn't a situation where brute force could solve it. Every move had to be calculated. Every second mattered. And the way they handled it proved just how sharp their instincts really were. >> Elizabeth, >> come out here and talk to me real quick. >> What's going on with your friend? >> With what? >> Your friend. Your friend >> Elizabeth. She's got D. She's not supposed to be here in the first place. >> Yeah, >> I should have arrested her when you were here the first time. >> You got to do what? Whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay, wait. Okay, wait, wait, wait. Mom, I'm being arrested. Mom, I'm being arrested. >> Mom, I'm being arrested. >> I got I lost myself. >> Mom, I'm being arrested right now. I'm not resisting. I'm not going to resist. >> Mom, I'm being arrested. Can my mom come get my daughter, please? >> That would be preferable. >> Okay. >> Yes. Mom, come get Hay right now. >> I'm not Hey, I'm not I'm not going to resist. Haley, grandma's on her way. I promise. Tell her tell her Grammyy's on her way. Get her tell her to get her cell phone. >> She's in there screaming. Her cell phone's in the car. Mom, I can't tell her anything. They're taking me to the car. I can't tell her anything. >> Okay. Well, let's ask the officer to tell her to get the cell phone. >> No, I don't want to help you. >> Ma'am, all we're not leaving. We're not leaving yet. We need you to come here as soon as possible. That's all. >> Don't worry about anything else. Don't worry about granddaughter yet. We will stay here with granddaughter until you arrive. [music] We just need you to be as soon as possible. >> You do not need to bring my dog. >> Yes, it will be. I'm on my way. >> Why am I being arrested? because I got inside with the neighbor. >> I'm sorry for the neighbor. I shouldn't I mean you you got understand my husband was just we're on our like 10 minutes later and we wouldn't have been here. My ex-boyfriend can >> Anything you say right now can be used against you in court. Okay. >> Can I show you what happened though? >> Nope. Just a sec. >> So Justin and I'm sure he's the one that called you. >> We'll go ahead and step. >> He's my ex-boyfriend. Okay. And he's super mad that um that we're going on vacation without him. And so that's why he called and told you guys about Nick being here or whatever. Okay. Cuz Nick's my husband. He was my boyfriend and he wanted to go on vacation with us and I told him we couldn't go because they don't get along. Okay. So there was Nick Nick didn't do anything wrong. There's no reason for you guys to come. Okay. I apologize for threatening the neighbor. I understand that. I understand that why I'm going to jail. Um but she I was just so upset that they ruined my vacation and took my husband from it. You guys you guys understand that, right? Just a little bit. >> Again, everything is being on video recorder right now as well. We just have to tell you all this. >> But I'm just saying do you guys like as just as people, not as cops, you guys understand that that like really sucks. Like if someone were to come to your house when you're going on vacation and take your wife from you >> at this point you should not be saying stuff like that. >> I'm just saying like as a person you said Nick was the one who called. >> No Justin >> I can understand that it's extremely difficult situation >> but there's just other stuff going on >> on our side as professionals. >> I understand but as but as a person we understand how would be. >> Yep. >> By now there was nothing she could say to save herself. Yet that did not stop her from trying to twist the narrative, continuing to play the victim, even after the cuffs clicked shut. >> So, what were you saying to your neighbor? >> I just thought she was a snitch and that she should have let my husband hide. >> What else? >> And then I hope she threatened her with anything else. >> No, I hope she like she should have let him hide or he should have ran. I just I just wanted everything to go back to normal and just go on vacation with my husband. Did you threaten her at all? Did you say you're going to threaten her with a gun? >> No, I don't even I said I hope I said I hope she got shot, but I didn't tell you that I was I didn't say that I was going to do that. I said I hope she got >> and that you're going to burn her house down >> and that I hope her house burns down. But I didn't say that I was going to do that. I said I hope your house burns down and I hope you get shot. That's what I said. But I didn't say that I was going to do it. I don't even have a I don't even own a So I was just mad. I'm sorry. And I'm sorry that I said that to her. And I mean, I wish he would have let my husband run or hide. I wish he would have done something other than tattle on him, but I shouldn't I shouldn't have said those things, but no, I don't have anybody that could bring me. I don't have anybody that could do that. I didn't say that. >> And you were aware that your husband, Nicholas, was in the house, right? >> No, I did not know he was in the house. >> He had just gotten [clears throat] He had just gotten here. He hadn't been in the house. The first time he came in the house was when he saw you guys. He had just gotten here. >> Exactly. But you lied to us when we said that we saw Nicholas and when he went in the house. Correct. And you But you >> I didn't. I thought it was Jeff. I truly honest to God thought it was Jeff. >> But you said to Nicholas that he should have ran and you bought him time. Correct. >> I did say that. >> Okay. So, you knew that he was in the house and you're helping him. Do you see where I'm coming from, Elizabeth? >> I do. >> Okay. So, you're lying about that. So, now your neighbors >> I'm not lying. I'm sorry. >> Okay. Well, how am I supposed to believe you when you were already lying to us before and now? How am I supposed to believe you about this? >> Well, because I was trying to protect my husband. >> Well, now you're probably trying to protect yourself is what I'm getting at. >> But no, I'm not. I own everything that I said and that's what I said to her. [snorts] >> Don't you think that in front of my daughter? Don't you think I've learned my lesson? Don't you think I'm not going to lie to you anymore? >> No, I think you are lying to me again. >> But I'm not lying to you. >> Your daughter's not even here right now. We're just here. >> I know that, but this my daughter's in the house by herself right now waiting for her grandma. Okay. And I'm supposed to be on vacation right now. I'm so I'm sorry. I did I didn't I didn't get a I didn't No, I did not do any of that. She's making that's that's an embellishment of what I said. >> You dumb. You should have let him hide is what I said to her. >> Well, right now you're under arrest. Okay. >> I I understand that. >> Cuz before you we said that you were just detained and now I'm letting you know that you're under arrest. All right. >> Oh, I know. >> Is there anything else you'd like to say? >> No. Can I say goodbye to my daughter? >> Please. >> I just want to tell you that everything's going to be okay. Please. Please. >> I'm going to go ahead and shut it. >> No. Please. [clears throat] >> When all was said and done, the woman was charged with harassment. Still on the theme of evil neighbors finally facing karma are these two young women whose long simmering feud with their neighbors finally boiled over. Turning years of hostility into a chaotic physical clash that ended with a one-way trip behind bars. >> She told the neighbor to hit she told the neighbor to leave. So she hit me and I swung back. When I swung back, she grabbed me by my hair and had me like this. Now what you want to do? What you want to do? >> Listen, what am I being? Ma'am, we we have a video of you. You struck Olivia first. >> On the 20th of September, 2023, officers were dispatched to a neighborhood after a heated clash erupted between two neighboring homes. As soon as they arrived, the shaken residents stepped forward to speak, and the story they began to tell made one thing clear. This wasn't a one-time argument, but a feud that had been boiling for far too long. >> The neighbor that stay downstairs here is signing her child in at the same time. I'm walking into the office now. We do have history. We don't speak at all to keep the peace around here. We got that understood. We walking into the school and she says, "Good morning." I said, "Nothing." Because to keep peace, we don't speak around here. Cool. Hers her words was, "Um, oh, keep that energy." I said, "You know, we don't speak." So, I'm going into the school. I'm signing in Mar. The child had done told me, Olivia, don't feed into it. The child said that. So I um she goes in and as we're walking into the office cuz when you walk into Mayers, you walk through two doors and then the immer the uh metal detector and then you walk into the office to sign them in. So as I'm walking into the actual office, she pushes me. The lady at the desk, see the lady push me. She say now why the heck you just push that lady? And Crystal, that's the neighbor name. She start to tell her >> why we be told her and her neighbor to you what I'm saying. >> Yeah. She told She told the neighbor to hit me. She She told the neighbor to hit me. The neighbor was on the phone with her and I guess because she can't get to me. She told the neighbor. >> The neighbor ended up uh she pushed me or whatever. And the lady was like, "Why you push me?" She started telling her about all the drama that's going on here. I'm like, "Girl, this is school. Let's sign our kids in >> and get back home." So, I asked the lady, I said, "Do you have another pen so I can just go ahead and sign mine in and go ahead and go? She can stay here and tell her story, but I need to sign mine in. I'm go ahead and go and she can stay here and tell her story." She goes, "Yeah." She gave me another pen. As she gives me another pen, the lady turns around and hits me. And the lady behind the desk, behind the uh behind the desk was like, "Now, why you did that?" So, she hit me and I swung back. When I swung back, she grabbed me by my hair and had me like this. I want to say it was the assistant principal, whoever the man is. The assistant principal end up walking in on her having me like this. As she got me like this, I said, "I hope you know I'm about to press charges on your ass." They gave me a statement paper, had me to write statements, the SRO. I came back over here. When I came back over here, the neighbor, her mama upstairs talking trash cuz you the one that done called her to put her. When you put your hands on somebody, that's a whole different story. Arguing back and forth, saying word. But when you actually put your hands on somebody, that's different. Don't try to hide your throw a rock and hide your hand now. Like I said, it's going to be different now because we stay by each other. You can't just put your hands on somebody and expect somebody just to sweep it under the rug. Like I said, we all females. So arguing, that's normal. Female do that every day. Argue, bicker. You get what I'm saying? But actually putting your hands on somebody, you taking it to another level. >> Yeah. You taking it to another level now. >> So yeah, yeah, he said he going to do his part. But he viewed the video yet of what took place cuz he he done went left doing something like that. >> You can't go talk to the person that's in the front office. >> No. No, it's not dead. >> Following protocol, officers listened to both sides, but the moment the suspect began speaking, their expressions shifted. The interaction that followed said everything. >> It seemed like y'all been peaceful before the >> Yeah. Never. Never. And I think she's taken out the issue between her, her mom, and me today. Anyway, um I was taking my daughter to school. I never saw her there cuz she don't have a kid that go there, but I noticed the grandson. So, as I'm who I am, never had tension. I saw him coming behind me. So, I held the door. The baby came in first. I said, "Hey, good morning, baby. You said good morning." I said she said yes ma'am. Then she passing and try against my chest but all I you know whatever. So I said good morning baby. So she like hey girl don't let me right there. And I said what's wrong with you? I said you're not speaking out. And she like girl let me um don't fool up with me with cancer. I said I have nothing to do with what's going on with your girl and your mama. Please keep me out of there anyway. Anyway, don't speak to me. I said okay I will. I said just keep keep that same energy when we over here cuz she speaks. So I said just keep that same energy today when we get over here. Cuz she's like that's fine baby. And she said, "Oh, you know, you own God, baby. I love trickle play. I love trigger plan." That's when I stopped laughing. I said, "Oh, you are very childish." I said, "How the heck me saying that goes to good." So I said, "You know, I'm done talking to you." I said, "Girl, I said to her." So I open the door, go into the office. I know it's Miss Samuels. And I look like, "What you doing here, girl?" To a literally trying to I said, "What you doing, Miss Samuel?" She like, "Hey girl, you going to hear?" She said, "Your daughter going to Juliet Low." I said, "Yeah, Destiny, you see Destiny Park?" You know, as we talking, I'm signing on the book to log my daughter in. So she cusses, I guess the talking to her, man. I don't know. But we're pleasantly talking. And so she's like, "Excuse me. Anyway, do you have another book I can I mean another pen so I can sign and get out of here or whatever?" So she like, "No, ma'am. You have to wait for her. That's only logging book and you have to sign the sheet." So she was like, "So anyway, so I'm talking to her. I'm looking. I'm still writing." She literally comes and physically push one arm on top of this one and this one out the way and start writing over me or whatever. So I then push off me. I said, "Do not touch me. Do not touch me." And you started out with a brush and at first didn't think it was a problem cuz she let me know it was a problem. Then you physically come and push. >> Since when? >> Don't talk to her. Just continue. >> Anyway. Anyway. Anyway, so she pushed my arm or whatever off her. I pushed her off me. She pushes my arm and all and try to do the thing. Even the lady gave to her, tell her, "Don't touch me." And I said, "Do not touch me." She gets on the phone, calls her girlfriend, wife, whatever. So I Yeah, girl. Call me a whole another name. I'm Rose or she going to call me Rose or something. That's how I knew. Then she's tripping. So they said, "I'm sorry." So I guess what she talking about she find I mean Crystal Crystal. She I don't know whatever her name is. So I said yes it's Crystal like that or whatever. So I said she talking about the gun. Yeah. She want she come over here give this to her when she pull up this that and the third. So I said ma'am you see this you hear this and she was like yeah you know. So I told her I'm not comfortable coming home. So then the girl was like girl please. Girl please. Anyway. And she do this to try to do the book again. So I push her hard. I ain't going to lie. I push kind of hard. She came and did like this but I thought she was about to hit me. I just fast she just but she I guess was going to point. I don't know. But she did like this. my natural other hand with the boot and hit on the side of the face one time. Then she like, "Oh, you hit me. You hit me." I said, "You're right. I hit you." I said, "You're not going to make me feel a defense. This your second time putting your hands on me. Now, now I'm upset. So, I'm doing this and I'm tell you're right. You make me feel defense. I'm going defend myself." I said, "Little, please don't play with me." I said, "I told you I had nothing else going on, but you're not going to disrespect me physically, emotionally, like my like do not put your hands on me, bro." So, she called her again. She even being dramatic, making it seem like I'm like beating her up or some other drive. So, now she got other people affected so much more. Not only did you start it verbally, you started physically. Now I defend myself hit you one good time. Now I'm So and >> Yeah, I did. I sure did. >> I did. >> Just ignore that or whatever. >> And was that all that cure after you punched her? Then y'all >> Oh. Uh, no. Okay. Yeah. So I punched her and then she tried to hit me back. Boom. She missed. I did this. I hit her one more time and I just grabbed her and I held her down like this. I said, "Little by her hair." >> Yeah. By her hair. And um she was like swinging up. I just holding down like this. And I said, "Liv, this is not what you want. I'm telling you, this ain't what you want." So that's when the staff came in or whatever and I let her go. So I let her hair go and um she offered try to walk out and and I just started talking. I said, "Let me sir, can I talk to you? This lady going to talk about, you know, and let me know I'm in the situation and she tried to leave." So the other one was like, "Ma'am, ma'am, let me talk to you." She's on the phone with her wife and she like, "What? Let me talk to you. I need to get to this house. I need to get to this house." I got or whatever. But she just kept saying she need to go to the house. So I was like, "No, we got to talk first." You know, like, see, see, from the beginning to now, ignorant. She lied. >> As officers carefully pieced the story together, the atmosphere suddenly took a turn when something outrageous and completely unexpected erupted, pushing [music] the situation to an entirely new level. >> If I was talking to you, I got to say your name. >> I know how to say your name. >> The [ __ ] >> I wasn't talking to her. I was talking to myself. I know, >> man. What you want to do? What you want to do? >> Listen, listen. Listen. Listen, listen. Listen. Listen, listen. Go back over there. Go back over there. >> Put your hands on me. You're going to jail. Put your hands on me. You're going to jail. I ain't woring about you. I'm not worried about you. All that started with you and your girlfriend. Started with you and your girlfriend. Don't put ME ON MY PROPERTY. TURN YOUR >> on my property. Let it go. Look at me. I'm tired of this. I'm tired of this house. Yes. They fight each other. >> They fight each other all the time. >> Let me talk. We're trying to resolve the issue before we go. I do not want to have to arrest y'all. >> So, it's not worth getting charges for. >> It's not both of y'all step inside the house. >> Walk in the thing that I got in my hand. So she's not under arrest. Right here she want to get crazy. That's why we got calm down. >> Was that you that was walking me to the back and I was speaking to Miss Hill that work at Meyers. you spoke to where Sheriff walked you to the back. >> Okay. The other guy in the in the in the school, >> right? I came back later on and I got your number. >> You're right. You're right. Right. Right. Right. Um but the secretary as we were walking into the school to sign the vote, the two kids, the secretary saw the lady push me walking in >> just like I told her to just like I told her and I'm going to tell you the same thing and I told you when you was in there. I'm going to look at the video and I'm going to determine what was what. >> Wow. >> Wow. So, I mean, >> nothing has been said here. We've been living here peacefully for about a month or so since the last incident. Nothing has been going on here. So, for you to get to this school and say something to me, why? Why? >> It's a school, ma'am. And the whole time, >> I don't remember. I don't know his name. He's in the office. He work in the office. Tall African-Amean guy. >> That's Mr. Scott. >> He walked out while she had me like this. And the whole time I'm telling her like, "I'm pressing charges on you. I'm pressing charges on you." >> Well, let us look at the video and then I'll I'll make a determination on what's going on from that point. >> With tension slightly cooled, officers turned to the footage, [music] searching for proof of who was truly at fault. Didn't take long before the hidden truth began to surface. >> Why you not at work? >> I was coming out to go to my door and go to work. Yes, it is. I open the door, ran up on me, and we fought right there. They all jumped on us. That got cameras. She could show you. So who called the police? >> I did. >> You called? They jumped you? >> I came to my car to go to work. They old and that. So I'm like, "Leave me the alone." I walk right there. All came downstairs. [ __ ] jumped on me. Her home girl and my mama. And that one jumped on my girl. She got the camera footage. She was literally at the door. I'm upstairs as you could go see my son right now. He just got out the shower. >> She come outside to come to her car. All of them is outside talking. They all came down theing stairs. I hear them yelling, right? I come running down here. They all done jumped her and then jumped on me. Right here. Look at me. And I want to press charges. >> All right. So, what what point did you draw now? >> I never my inside my inside. My >> She told me to go grab my I never grabbed it. It's still inside. >> Had my baby. She came right here. So, I said and she mama. So, I said, "Don't come over here with all that. Don't come over here." Oh, yeah. You want what's up? What's up? What's up? I was like, "Hold on. What's up? What's up?" She swung at me. So me and her start fighting and the girlfriend ran over here. They jumped on me. So that's when they all ran about here. Break up. Get off. I go jump her. We fall. They said, "Back up. I get up on me again." So it's like to fight. And this me like right here >> behind the car right here. >> THAT PERSON THAT YOU LEFT her back WHEN SHE WAS LITERALLY AT y'all start with me. And then when she HIT ME AND THEN her >> and when I got the UP THEY STARTED TALKING ABOUT GRAB my y'all want to check out. >> I WAS GOING TO DANCE. I AIN'T GOT MY MOTHER AT SCHOOL YET. >> YOU AIN'T GOING TO SEE no more. That's what I'm trying to tell you. >> Look came over here. That's the part I want you to see. >> You got to hear it. >> Okay. Go ahead. >> You going to have to hear >> cuz where you going? >> They fight. I'm going to stop the fight. No. Cara is on this side. >> I see. I see. >> You see her over here? You know who car is? The black. This is what I need you to see before this. Before this. I'm trying to get >> ma'am. >> You are interrupting my investigation right now. Please stop. >> Okay. Well, I'm sorry. You got to interrupt your >> Please. I'm just trying to show you the trial over there coming from the >> cuz I don't need to see. I don't care about what happened before the fight. That's all I need. Just Just please let us do this so we can >> make a determination. We want to deal [music] with All right, here you go, man. >> So, you did? >> Yeah, we seen what we needed to see. >> The very neighbors who thought they could twist the story and pin the blame on the victims had no idea karma was already circling back. This time, it hit harder than they ever expected, [music] and the joke definitely was on them. >> Drop your cigarette. Drop it. Just drop it myself on my property. So the video contradicts otherwise. >> So you don't see me over here off my property right now >> and I'll explain. >> Yeah, please explain >> that we're going by what we see on the video. >> What did you see besides me now? Definitely defense after her swing on me and coming over here and us making our way there. >> Crystal was just arrested. Right. So now it's your turn. Put your phone down. >> Okay. Let me just call my one person please. >> You cannot call anybody. >> Get my phone and call Tisha. >> Tisha. It's okay. Let me lock my door. >> Put your hands behind your back. Okay. Okay. >> You can give your keys to your daughter. They can grab it. >> Lock it for you. >> Call teacher right here. >> Ma'am, we we have a video of you. You struck Olivia first. >> That's what the video shows. >> I have your hands like this. >> The video don't lie. >> Okay. >> Okay. Okay. >> So, I'm just explaining to you so you know why you get arrested, right? What you see tight. I'm so den. To close things out, both women were charged with battery. Thinking things couldn't possibly sink any lower, meet Canelen, who ended a parking dispute with a brutal, irreversible act after he struck his neighbor 28 times with a firearm, sending him to the great beyond. >> He is dead in it. I warn you for this one year. >> On the 5th of October 2021, officers responded to a disturbance about a crazy man who had gone wild. According to the caller, he had stabbed one man to death and attempted to do the same thing to another. Moments before the call, CCTV cameras captured Arlan with a bloody knife in his hand after killing his neighbor, Matthew Borman. What makes this CCTV footage even scarier is that he was actually on his way to find his next [music] victim. >> You stand still now. >> Don't you go down there. >> No. Stop. >> Stop. Put that light down now. PUT IT DOWN. PUT IT DOWN. Put it down. Get out OF the [laughter] door. [screaming] Knock the door. Put the leg down. Put the leg down. Put the leg down. Put the leg down. Put it down. Not let you hurt anyone else. The man was held off by brave citizens until police arrived at the scene. However, as it would soon turn out, Arlen was a much more disturbing [music] figure than initially anticipated. >> Yeah. Delta Delta 2, I have the suspect secured. I am fine on my own. Everyone else, >> you are next. >> There's a B on your head. >> I'm fine here, mate. The knife is there. >> You're next. Can you just check? Canvas these people and check this is the only suspect. >> The only suspect. Just canvas here. >> The only >> he is dead in it. I for this one year. Look at that. You idiot in bustles. I was in special forces. I warned them. I was going to >> Would you please put the handcraft? >> Are you happy to tell me your name now? I think I know what it is, but you haven't actually told me. What's your name, please? >> So, yeah, I'm going to search you. >> Okay. So, what we're searching you for is anything that can harm us. Anything that can harm you or anything that could aid your escape? Okay. >> I've been begging for police one year. I was nervous cuz he was against my son, my wife. Arlen can be heard multiple times laughing about his actions. In his screwed up head, he thinks he did the world justice. After all of this, he even has the audacity to ask the police for a favor. >> Look, I am begging you. Could you put this in front? >> No, unfortunately, we can't. That's not in our policy. >> I have disability. Don't you believe? >> I do. I do believe you, but I don't believe that they're causing you any harm. And it's >> they are I have arthritis, >> right? Okay. It's proportionate to the >> 10 of you. You mother look like I'm the 10 people. There's a band on your head as well. >> Is it a lighter? >> Hey, no point threatening us, is there? Going to get you any game, have >> you? Your own mother ain't going to get you any. In the end, Chan Arlan was sentenced to a minimum of 38 years in prison for his horrible actions. Next up is the case of Adam Hsburg, who turned his quiet block into a living nightmare after a fedup neighbor made one crucial call about him breaking into a neighbor's apartment. >> What are y'all doing? >> Trying to get open our door. >> We're getting a call of people trying to break into the house. Ridiculous. Why are you guys doing this? You want it again? No. No. No. No. Let's stop. >> Why are you guys doing this? >> Cuz you ran. >> On the 3rd of May 2024, [music] police rushed to a peaceful street after a neighbor reported a man trying to force his way into a nearby home. It initially appeared to be an innocent mixup, but as the encounter unfolded, his conduct took a sharp turn that made his spending time in jail inevitable. >> What are y'all doing? trying to get open our door. We live here that Aubrey and everybody their moms they just left out literally we live her on the phone. >> You have ID on you? >> I don't have my ID, man. It's everything's the house. >> Okay, hold on. Who's >> That's our rental. >> It's yours. >> No, it's not mine. It's uh >> But it's your rental. >> That's why whoever called I don't even know why cuz I know him. She's actually crazy though. >> Um so the police are here. >> Do you have a >> Did you tell >> Do you have a job? >> Do I have a job >> down here? You don't have any jobs? >> They don't give me nothing. I can't get nothing. They won't. That's how the problem was. My uncle didn't explain that. She's been this off. >> Let me talk to her real quick and then we'll we'll continue that >> Hey, who is this? >> My name's Aubrey the homeowner. >> Oh, hi Aubrey. Um, so we got a call. I don't know who called, but somebody called and said that somebody was breaking into your house. Um, and I have Adam and Steven here [music] and they're I guess they're locked out of the house. Adam, where are you going? >> Water. >> Okay. Um, and that I guess they locked they're locked out of the house [music] and they're trying to bust through the side door to get back in. >> Yeah, they locked the key in the house. >> Okay, so they have permission to be here. >> They do. >> Okay. Um, >> thank you though. >> Oh god, that felt nice. >> Do it again. >> Sorry. You just sprayed me with the hose. Um, >> I don't know why we didn't think of that. >> Oh [ __ ] Sorry. Now we got you. My bad. I am so sorry. Now he really sprayed me with a hose. [laughter] >> You about to catch the batteries. >> I just want to make sure they're allowed to be here because we got a call from somebody. So >> yeah. No, they're definitely allowed to be there. Um and they're allowed to do whatever they got to do to get >> and your mom lives here, too. >> Yeah, she does. She's a little crazy. >> Is she supposed to be Is there a way you could reach her and see where she's at? Maybe they don't have to break the door. >> Yeah, she she didn't have a key, so she left the door unlocked. um she couldn't find her key. I don't know. But so they they they'll probably have to do whatever they have to do. Um she said that she would be there in like 45 minutes. I told her to come sooner. Um I can't get in touch with her like by calling her anymore and texting her. So I don't know. But yeah, they're they're cool. They can do whatever they got to do. >> Okay. All right. I just want to check with you, make sure. >> All right. Thanks. Adam insisted he [music] didn't have a social security number, confidently backing it up with his own twisted logic, completely unaware that every word he said [music] was quietly setting the stage for his downfall. >> What is What is your full name? What was the name you were born with? >> Adam. Adam. >> Huh? >> Adam. >> That's your full name. >> Yes. >> But it's not. So it sounds like it has a a right? >> No. Okay. Yes. >> You don't have any other names? >> How would you have any other names? >> People have other names. How pain in the ass? >> Okay. >> Aren't you built with one name? How do you get another name? >> I'm just asking. >> Well, if that's through social security, I need to do it. I I can't get nothing. I haven't been able to get help. They won't even I can't even get the food stamps. They say >> why? >> Nothing. Cuz I'm not They don't have none of that. >> How long have you been down here? >> And not too long. >> I ain't been down here too too long now. >> Like a month? Two months? >> No. No. Like a year and a half? >> You've been down here a year and a half. You've never worked >> through. If I find somebody hustling or You been arrested in the state of Florida? >> No. >> No. Never been in an accident? >> No. >> Nothing? >> No. I don't Where do I go? I don't do nothing. >> I'm I'm just asking. >> Do too much. My uncle >> I'm just confirm who you are. >> Oh, no. Oh, I'm sorry. Oh, sorry. Um, no. For my uncle when he just wasn't too long ago. >> Do you have any family that lives around here? >> I don't have family down here. I don't have family like that. >> So, >> I'm I've been down here >> about a year ago. You moved down here from North Carolina. >> Well, no, we're already in South Carolina. We moved from North Carol. That's what I was trying to tell you. And then we went down to South Carolina and then we go down and my uncle he has a guy that he used to work with to come down here to do this >> and where that's what we did. We came down here and we're supposed to work with this guy but he's like I don't know he treated us like the darker skinned people. >> Okay. >> So it was kind of sucky but anyways >> my uncle passing after when he died I was like I got that's all we're trying to do is I'm trying to get back up to home now. That's all I'm trying to And I had all I had all >> You've never received an ID or any kind of identification through the state of Florida ever? >> No. >> Not even North Carolina. >> No, you >> or South Carolina. I'm just asking. I got to ask. >> You don't They don't issue them. They don't have that. That's what we don't have. We don't have none of that. That's what I'm saying. My uncle kind of like jumped us off a little too. I was ready to go cuz I was like not for me. But >> how long ago did you get out >> of there? >> Amish. Yes. >> Without you call it Amish. You don't get out of Amish. I you know I know you know what you mean. >> Anyways, uh >> leaving the Amish. >> Anyways, uh >> TV show. You know there's a TV show about people leaving the Amish community. >> Nuh-uh. >> Oh, wait. You don't watch TV, so you wouldn't know. >> Stop it. [laughter] >> Continue. Continue. >> Take jokes down. >> No, I'm serious. There is a TV show. There's There's people that leave the Amish community and they film them and see how well they do. >> And what are they doing? >> They're going back home because they can't do it. >> Oh, shut up. Okay. So, how long ago did you did you leave your community to venture out somewhere else? >> 16 months, seven. No, a little more than that. Almost 2 years now. Almost. Almost. Cuz from leaving out from Greenville about 10 years. >> And you don't have a middle name? No. >> Okay. Have you ever been in trouble in the state of Florida? >> No, man. >> No. Never? >> No, man. >> No tickets? >> I don't drive. >> Well, who's driving that? my buddy. >> He ain't driving that. >> Not this one. Another one. He left. So that's why we're waiting. >> Why? Why? Just so for my curiosity. What is What is it against the Amish community having social security numbers? Like what's the reason? They just don't find themselves as people. >> No, they don't. It's not that. They don't they don't So if you're there, so was it my little cousin was born or something like that? They kind of they did the same thing. >> It was clear that he wasn't telling the truth and the officers caught on immediately. The next move seemed simple enough, but it would quickly prove far more difficult than expected. >> For what? Rocket pursuit. >> All right. >> Get on your stomach. What's wrong with you? Adam, >> what are you doing? >> Your hands right now. >> For what? >> You got to get it again. >> You're going to GET AGAIN. >> I CAN'T. I CAN'T. >> YOUR HAND. >> THANK GOD I CAN'T. >> PLEASE STOP. >> ON YOUR stomach now. >> On your stomach right now. You got to get it again. >> Holy [ __ ] Ridiculous. >> Why are you guys doing this? >> You want it again? >> No. No. No. No. But stop. >> Why are you guys doing this? >> Cuz you ran. >> You scared me. >> My arm doesn't bend like that. >> Yes, it does. >> You want it again? >> No. No. No. Please don't. Try not to breathe again. >> Stop. >> Try not to breathe, Dirty. Please don't. >> I'm trying to help you. Relax for a second. >> I can't move again. I'm going to tase you again. Sorry. >> Don't move your hand. Got it. >> Okay. I'm just inhaling dirt. >> What do you want to be honest about? Your name. [panting] >> You guys already know who it is. >> Adam. Wait. Go ahead. Yes, sir. All right. Look. Seriously, [sighs] they hit me with So, you guys hit me with a charge. You guys did. Uh-huh. >> Well, technically, I guess not you guys, but >> Yeah. Go ahead. >> Titusville hit me with a charge. I never had a gun, dude. >> I never had a And they hit me with a charge. >> Okay. [panting] >> Well, now you get another charge for >> But now you get two more charges plus all the warrants that you have out for you. >> I know the warrants and that >> when you could have just been honest. >> Listen, honestly, they're get I'm about to get a life sentence, man, for something I didn't even do for a They're trying to habitualize me if I offend her. >> Okay. Okay. >> What do you think? I'm How do you think I'm supposed to react to y'all? >> I'm not trying to do that. >> They take that into consideration. Not you running across the street. >> They don't. >> Yes, they do. >> Look at my arrest record. Look at it. I have not not one I have not one resisting arrest. >> You got gloves on you. >> I don't have not one resisting arrest. >> I mean, please. That's really going to give me a license. It's like I'm for real. Please. >> No, that's what you're getting. Resisting times, too. >> No, there's no burglary. You got me [ __ ] >> He lives here. >> He does live here. >> I I was on the phone with Audrey. >> As long as you confirm that. No, I was on the phone with her. So, >> please don't do that. If I get a resisting arrest now, >> you you just rent >> I know. I know I did. I am not I apologize y'all. I swear to God I apologize. That's on everything I love. I'm scared, bro. I'm going to get a license for some bull for some and I got four arrests with not one resisting arrest. Four of them. Four different kids. Not one resisting arrest. The police, all they did was lie on me. >> Coco. >> Polo. >> You ready to go to the hospital? >> No. I just wanted to say snatch the Let's go. >> That's not how that works. Well, you got to go to the hospital, too. >> Is everybody getting spray me off? At least untag that thing and spray me out. >> I got a board. >> Hold on a second. Hold on. >> I need to take a picture of these real quick. >> Go to the hospital. >> Okay. If you get rude, I'm going to put you so deep from the Khole. >> I'm not trying. >> Okay. Well, then piece cuz this is >> I'm trying to >> I don't do this. >> Okay. >> I do sedation, which is way different. >> Okay. >> So, take a deep breath. >> Yeah. You made me run, dog. I don't like running. You >> tell neither can I. >> You're not good at running. I can tell that. That's why >> you kept falling. He fell every 5 seconds. [laughter] >> I don't even know why I did. I was like >> every every single bush he was like >> I was like >> like a baby gazelle learning how to walk. >> At that moment there was no avoiding it. Adam's path had led him straight [music] to a jail cell. He was finally beginning to see that he was getting the karma he deserved. >> You can punch me in the face. You can fight. >> No, I'm just saying like you could punch me in the face. You could fight with me. >> I ain't lying to but that got me nowhere. Telling the truth. I haven't. >> No, it hasn't. girl crying. >> It hasn't. So, I apologize, but no, it hasn't. >> I mean, I don't like that either. But the one number one thing I do not like is when people just >> lie for no reason. >> There's no I'm not lying for no reason. You think I've already lied to you for a reason? You think I did that perfectly just for just for >> You made up a whole Amish story, dog. >> Already made up, bro. Because I got a life sentence for I didn't do. That's what I'm getting mad at. That's what I'm going to have a problem with. I'm getting a life sentence for something I didn't do. >> Where's the life sentence at? >> Well, see, just pay attention. Watch. There ain't nothing I can do about it cuz the whole county. All right. All right. >> They're pieces of Where's Seinal County? >> Where's the from Semino County? >> Yes. I'm not even nowhere near where the [ __ ] they tried to get me on. >> Real quick, can you tell me your first and last name? >> First name's Adam. >> Adam. Last name's Hersburgger. >> No, it's not. Last name's >> Hersburgger. >> What's your real birthday? >> 11:15. >> No, it's not. Try it again. Ultimately, Adam was charged with providing false ID to a law enforcement officer [music] and three counts of obstructing an officer. If you thought you'd seen the worst, wait till you meet 71-year-old Edwin Watts, a heavily intoxicated man known as Butch, who turned his married neighbors lives into a nightmare for no real reason after he attacked them with a machete. >> We go through the yard. He picks up a big [ __ ] that rock and he slammed and throws it at the back of my car, which is all up now. And then he takes the machete and throws it at him. What's still there? >> Where did he get a machete from? >> Little red truck wagon for throwing a brick at the car and the machete. >> I know you don't care, but there's consequences for that. >> On the 30th of June 2025, a frantic 911 call came in after a man and his wife were attacked by an intoxicated elderly man known as Butch. But beyond the chaos and confusion, one disturbing detail about how he was so unthinkable, it left everyone shaken. I pull in my driveway. He's on a red truck wagon with a safety symbol on the back. I pull in the yard and he flips to me off, but I don't even know the guy. And next thing you know, he starts punching my window, kicks up a big rock, and smashes my back tailgate in my Volkswagen. I get out of the car after I pull my car in for cuz I don't want to get Don't get me wrong, I wanted to hit him so bad and I did. >> He said this [music] guy named Butch >> Yes. >> is in a a red wagon. Well, like like a four-wheel a side by side. A four-wheel side by side. Oh, swear. Come on. >> Where are the weapons now? >> I'm standing right here and near it. And I'm protecting this weapon cuz I want his old jail. I did my time in prison for my wrongs and this is not about to do this to me. And me not do nothing and him stay out. No. White, tall, slim male, oldest, gray hair, drunk. His first name is Butch. I don't know his last name. I wanted to upgrade not let me try to pick me up. >> He ain't the real skinny old dude that rides around that uh older >> Yeah. >> the older wagon. >> I know where it's at. >> I said I want to see cops ON YOUR ASS DOWN INSTEAD OF BEATING your ass up. He got this truck wagon and bring down the road. >> Officers pulled up expecting the usual until Anthony and Amy stepped forward. As they spoke, their version of events took a far darker turn than they could have predicted. >> He was in here any hard. We drove by. He flicked us off. My husband said, "You flicked me off." I said, "No, he just waved cuz I know he's a drunk old man." Okay. And um then so we turn around, we pull back up in the yard and he does it again. He flips it off. This is where we're in the highway now. >> So then I put down the window and like what's your problem? Then he tried to punch my wind window out. >> So where he was here right so he's in the driveway right there. Y'all pulled up said, "Hey, what's the deal?" >> Yeah. I pulled up in my yard. Pull up in my yard. I'm like, "What's your problem?" And he went to go punch my husband through the window. We go through the yard. He picks up a big foot that rock and he slammed and throws me at the back of my car which is all up now and I'm going to press charges. He's going to be he did and that's all there is to it. My husband like you know yelling at him screaming. I'm like drunk whatever whatever because you know he's pissed now. I'm trying to get him not hit the guy cuz he he's Italian. He's [music] just you know just losing >> because he don't know what to think about. >> But I got a case he stayed in the yard then he throws a metal pole at him. I thought he was good to say hi. >> He throws a metal pull at him and you know they're just having words. He can't talk so obviously he ain't having words. You know what I mean? The other guy. And then he takes a machete and throws it at him. What's out of his little wagon? >> What I mean is >> Oh, Anthony. Relax. I got it. Come on. You know I got But no, my car is ruined now and for no reason cuz the old wants to get drunk come over here starting with people. >> He's always so nice. I don't know what got into him. >> Must have gone on dark liquor. Oh yeah, baby. >> And then this is what happened with the rock. >> He got it right there. >> So I ain't having it >> like that. And I'm not going back. >> I'm not having it. >> Where'd you go to Where did you go to [music] prison at? >> Jackson, ACI, all of them up in the panhandle. >> Which seat were you seated? >> I was in passenger. >> Okay. passenger receipt. Did he come through the window and touch? >> Hell yeah. He came through the window and tried to hit me. >> Did he actually hit the window? >> Did you have to block it? >> Yes. >> Turn around. >> So he made contact with you. >> Yes. But it like grazed me. He like barely I mean anything. I >> tried to window. Yes. >> Grazed your arm. >> Came at it again. He hit hard as he couldn't bust the opening window. But yes. Hell yeah. And that's when she rushed yard and he picked a rock back in the truck. By then, the officers already had a grim picture of Butcher's attack from the couple's shaken accounts. Still, the discoveries that followed revealed details so disturbing even they weren't prepared for them. >> When he threw the machete in that post for you in fear that it was going to hit you. >> Yes, I was in fear for my life. >> Little baby girl. Little girl. I would have that up. [screaming] It's end of my day. >> When do I get my report? >> How do I get my report? >> I'm about I'm writing a report right now. >> All right. Let's go. I just need to know for um um for the insurance, you know what I mean? >> Yep. [clears throat] >> This is a heavy pipe. >> Okay. Come here. >> I think it's a >> I think it's from a jack. >> With a couple behind them, the officers set out to track down Butch, expecting answers. Instead, they walked straight into a far more complicated situation. >> Mr. Butch, how are we? >> 6569. You have medics 51. Subject has cuts on his legs. What happened? What happened? What happened to your leg? >> Hello. >> Hi. My mother-in-law's house. I live next door. >> Perfect. Does he have a voice box? >> Do I? >> Does he? >> Yes, he does. >> Okay. Does he know? Does he have it? >> Yeah. You have your talker? >> You go get it real quick? >> Go. Hold on, bud. Chill out. Chill out for a second. Sean's coming right now. >> I'm not saying nothing bad for you. >> Why are you so angry? >> Don't. But [music] you you know that's not a Don't. Please don't. I'm begging you. Please. >> I see. I know. I know. What happened? Did something happen somewhere? Where at? >> What happened? [music] >> At Betty's. >> Okay. >> What happened? a lot. >> Was it Betty? She was talking. >> Who was it? >> Do you know their name? >> Well, I don't know who that is. >> Who called? >> The mustachis. Amy and >> they live at Betty Townson's. >> Okay. >> Um, they said they don't know. >> Is he okay to Is he going to get arrested or is he charges or >> I don't know yet. >> Hey, >> you need to relax. >> No, >> you need to relax. >> He's been having dreams. He's been having dreams. He's been drinking too much is what the main issue. >> How much have you had to drink today? >> Beer, liquor. >> He'll show you. I'll show you what he's drink. >> He definitely been drinking. I can smell it. >> Yeah. Yeah. I know. I tell by the way he's acting. >> I'm not going to handcuff you behind your back. It's not going to happen. >> Well, you need to >> get to get you cleaned up. >> I want to get your leg cleaned up before we go anywhere. >> Hit the hose. You hit with the hose or I'll just have to sit in the car until next. Do you want to go sit in my car? You have like a Are you sure your voice box ain't right there or is that cigarettes? That's cigarettes. >> Yeah. All right. You want me to give this to him? Yeah. You can't go to jail with him. You ain't in trouble for throwing the brick at the car and the machete. >> I know you don't care, but there's consequences for that. What do they do? >> That doesn't give you the right to. might be, but that it's not a reason >> to do what you did. You don't even know. Do you ever been in trouble before? >> I didn't [music] think so. >> He gets a little crazy when he drinking and um he's on like some steroid like prennazone >> for physical pain or for what? >> Just for like his wounds and stuff like that. And then so like when he's on it for long periods, he gets like, you know, gro his temper sometimes and alcohol doesn't help. >> No, I'm sure it says on the pill bottle, do not consume with alcohol. >> Yeah. If there's anyone I never thought I would arrest, it's probably this guy. >> Yeah. >> I don't know, man. >> It was just weird that what he was talking to me earlier today about having dreams [music] about getting arrested and now it goes to do this like almost like trying to fulfill the dream. As the case concluded, [music] Butch was charged with burglary of a conveyance, criminal mischief causing more than $1,000 in damage, and aggravated with a weapon. Similar to Caneland, Susan Lawrence wasn't just a hostile neighbor, she was a ticking [music] time bomb, whose deep-seated hatred for the family next door slowly boiled over until she sent one of them on a one-way trip to the great beyond. >> I don't know where I hear the big bang. Okay. >> I keep my stake and I I'm invisible on the ground. >> Okay. >> On the 2nd of June 2023, officers responded to an urgent 9/11 call claiming that a woman had been after a dispute with her neighbor. Once they reached the scene, they found the woman laying on the grass on the brink of >> 19. She's got a paw. Move. She does. She's got a >> Where is the gun? Right here. Right here. >> Here. Like a 22 or something. Oh my god. >> She said she has a >> pant. Yes, >> she's got poles. >> Very poles. Very faint. Very faint. >> There's no planning to do this for the longest time. >> Cops on this [ __ ] woman for [ __ ] ever. >> Oh my god. >> I got it. I got it. I got it. >> Where is she shot at? >> Right. Right. Right here. >> Right here. >> Chest. >> Right here. Right. Right side of chest. >> Okay. >> There's no exit. I don't see a lot of blood. >> Prior to the incident, the victim, at GK Owens, had been beefing with Susan Lauren for many years. Susan hated that kids played together close to her house and would often call the police on them, even though it was completely in their right to do so. >> You don't have sole control over the parking lot. There's poor people here. >> Yeah, but those children don't live here. >> I mean, they literally live across the street on the other side. They don't >> I understand what you're telling me and I get it, >> but you don't have sole power to say, "Hey, they can't be in this parking lot." >> But he's asked them to leave. I mean, you can call Charles. I mean, >> I'm just telling you what I It's trespassing. It's the first time's civil because it's not It doesn't become criminal until they're warmed. >> Okay. But he's already told him no trespassing. He's just trespassing right now. >> Can I talk to you for a second? When are you done? >> He's trespassing right now. He's trespassing. >> He came over to come ask us a question. >> What do you What do you need us to do? What do you want us to do? >> Tell the girls not to come. They can't come on when I'm on the phone. >> I mean, literally, they cannot come on when they I'm on the phone. >> I mean, I can talk to them if I can figure out who they are, but >> I mean, he needs to get cuz he's screaming all the time, too. >> Okay. >> He just needs to get >> It's this is just an open field, you know. it belongs to both property. You know what I'm saying? So if the kids want to play there, whatever. And that's that's what I keep telling her. Hey, as long as you don't get in her door, you don't start throwing rocks. Don't be cursing at her. It's okay. She can call the cops whenever she wants. But and and I was trying to reason with her one day cuz we were all playing here. You know, the kids, everything. All right, let's go. And she's like, "Hey, you know what? One day you guys are going to die." And I'm like, and that's when I like, whoa, >> I'm not I'm getting too much feedback on the phone. >> Sure. >> Please. I'm getting too much feedback. I can't hear my customers. >> Dog, >> it's a dog. We can't stop the dog from barking. >> Yeah, but it's too much feedback. Can you please at least go someplace? I'm not getting too much feedback. >> That's I mean, that's uh All right. Well, you have a good one. Apparently, we can't stand here and have a conversation with Shane. That's what I'm saying. >> Everyone in the neighborhood was aware that Susan was crazy. However, despite them complaining about her for years, nothing really happened. On the night of the shooting, a GK Owens had gone up Susan's door to confront her about an incident where she had threatened to have her son arrested for walking their dog close to her house. >> He's walking the dog and he's all the way back towards the fence. I'm standing here on my phone. She comes outside to go to the car or something. She sees him. Oh, I told you I'm going to have you arrested and I'm going to have you arrested today. She has her phone out like she's taking this picture or whatever. Now he's trying to run back across the street. So I said, I'm sorry. What are you saying to him? And so I go over there, >> this is my private property. They can't have a dog over here. I told her, first of all, he's not on your property. He's on this side. You don't own it. And even was on the site. You don't own this either. You're renting this just like I rent over here just like they rent over there. You don't own this. You can't tell them technically if they're not in your personal personal space that they can't walk the dog or even throw their football open. >> Unfortunately, before she could get to talk to Susan, the crazy Karen shot Owens through the door, critically wounding her. >> The only thing I heard was her knocking on the door pretty loud, right? Who was on the door? >> Uh, the lady that got shot, right? >> She was knocking on the other lady's door. >> Yeah. Like to to see what had went between the two kids, you know? Like heard did you see anything or you got to talk to anything? You got to talk to the kids. >> You got to talk to the little kid and the older one. >> Okay. >> All I heard was knocking and then a gunshot. That's it. There were no fighting, none of that. >> Wait, tell me what you saw here tonight. >> I didn't see much. Um I was I was we were playing around. I was on my um electric scooter. >> Okay. >> And then my friend's mom got mad. Oh, my friend's mom got mad at the lady because she took something. I don't know. >> Your friend's mom? >> Yeah. >> Is uh Which one was your friend's mom? >> My friend's mom was right there. >> The one laying on the ground? >> The one that was laying on the ground. >> Okay. So, that that was your friend's mom. She got mad because the other lady had taken an iPad. >> Yes, I think. >> Okay. So, what happened? >> And she gave it back. >> The the the other lady gave it back. Yes. And then so then my friend's she came and banged on the door on her um window. >> Okay. >> Slide that. She banged on that and then the door. >> Okay. >> And then I was on my electric scooter right here and then I don't know where I bang. >> Okay. >> I was running. Did you actually see anybody with any kind of gun, anything like that, or did you just hear? >> I just hear >> Okay. What did you see after that? >> I don't know. I came outside and I saw my principal on the ground. >> Okay. Good job. All right. >> Susan Lauren was quickly arrested and taken to the police station. In the meanwhile, a GK Owens had unfortunately passed away from her injuries. As of today, Susan is facing up to 30 years for her actions.
