On August 8th, 2024, Deputy House with the Clayton County Sheriff's Office observed a Dodge Charger fail to yield to oncoming traffic. When Deputy House tries to make the stop, this perp floors it and tries to make use of all of his six cylinders to escape. with a temporary west road at Phoenix Parkway. Still rolling. All >> 18-year-old Marquavius Clavin Hines, the driver, is facing the following charges. Reckless driving, felony fleeing, and running a red light. 18-year-old Kamari Kaman Carter, the front seat passenger, is facing possession of a firearm during the crime. Possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana with an intent to distribute. 18-year-old Celicia DJ McClendon, the rear passenger, is facing misdemeanor possession of marijuana and felony possession of a controlled substance. The Ruger 9 mm pistol that was recovered next to Carter's leg was confirmed as stolen. The backpack contained approximately half a pound of marijuana. McClendon's purse contained 2 grams of marijuana and THC oil vape pins. The camo AR-15 style rifle was not reported stolen at the time of arrest. All three suspects were transported to the hospital for evaluation before being booked into the Clayton County Jail. All cases are still pending in court. I got to say, they all are pretty lucky the driver was not driving something more powerful than a V6, or else he probably would have flipped the car when he hit that curb.
