We need you to come with us. >> I'm getting my money back. >> She's not doing that. I'm a female. You over here are not doing that >> for what? >> I I actually saw you grab her like grabbing out of the Right. >> Walmart welcomes millions of shoppers, but that doesn't mean every customer is welcome back. These people are about to find that out. Here's when entitled customers realize Walmart can ban them. Woman gets herself banned from Walmart after this. On June 21st, 2024, officers responded to a Walmart after employees reported a woman for allegedly shoplifting. Here's what happened when officers caught up with her. >> I don't talk to you real quick. Your kid Okay. >> She She went with her dad. >> Okay, I just I got you. >> Okay. Um I want to talk to you about what's going on. You're pseudo in custody here. So, I'm going to read you your random warning here, okay? Because you're not free to go and stuff. All right. So, um we got a call about just stealing some stuff asset protection. >> It's not intentional. Whatever Whatever I didn't pay for >> or whatever I didn't scan, I'll pay for. I don't I don't I don't know what it >> The other problem, too, just explain to you the starting point is you battered her when she was telling you she was calling the police. >> She grabbed me. >> I watched the video. She was on the phone and you were grabbing her phone. >> Yeah. She told me you're going to jail trying to come and grab me and my daughter my car. She just freaked me out to come and grab me and grabbing you were two different things out. >> I I actually saw you grab her by grabbing out of the phone. Right. >> Right. To get her phone out of her. >> Okay. Let me explain this. So that in itself could be aggravated battery because it's during the commission of a retail. Okay. I'm not going to and that and what that means to you is that's a felony. I'm not going to charge you with a felony because I kind of understand the dynamic of hey, you know, we got this lady stopping me and stuff, but she did. >> I mean, she's done this thousands of times, but she calls us all the time. Okay. So, she identified the approach differently. >> Well, listen to me. So, she identified herself working for Walmart. She asked you to come back in >> and then she told you you were calling the police and you grabbed it. Okay. Um, now you said that she was trying to grab you. She told me she grabbed the cart to stop you. Did she physically touch you at all or was that just kind of an overstatement? I don't I don't know. I just I just know I freak out. >> They have video literally everywhere from >> Well, then look at the video. I don't know. >> Okay, but I'm asking you because you know >> Well, I tell you what, my mind is not really great right now. I am freaked out. >> And the cameras give officers a pretty clear idea of what happened. The woman was allegedly shoplifting and when loss prevention stepped in, an altercation followed. >> I'm really upset. I mean, I've never been in trouble in my life and then I get pulled over by like eight cops. You know what I mean? And I was just like, "Oh my god." >> Well, let me ask you this. Why when she confronted you, why didn't you just stop and try to work it out? >> I don't know. I She just came out of me all the wrong way and it scared me. Okay. >> I had a incident here one time where almost got >> Okay. >> Followed me down every aisle and then followed me halfway home. I had to ditch try to ditch him. It was just a mess. And >> you get pulled. >> Well, it just it gave me like a >> immediately I just got freaked out and I just probably wasn't thinking. I I don't know why I didn't because like I said, I have $500 in cash in my wallet. I don't know why I would. >> I had inventory, but it's you have [laughter] money and stuff. So, that's the reason why I was kind of wondering what was what was going on. >> Right. I mean, we >> What you're saying what you're saying is this was all a mistake. >> Yes. Yes. It's all a mistake. If >> my only my only rebuttal to that would be when she stopped you to try to speak to you about it. >> I think like I said, it just freaked me out because of the incident that I had before and somebody coming up to you like that and my child and my child's freaking out. It just elicited something in me. >> Okay, now that we're sold down, >> they have the receipt of the things you paid for. Do you have any other items in the car that has not been >> This is what I have. >> Now, is this stuff that you paid for? >> This is all the >> Is this stuff that you paid for you did not pay for? She said that there's some things you paid for and there's some things you didn't pay for. >> I don't know what I didn't pay for. >> There's some of the things you you paid for you left in there. And about the same amount of money that you didn't pay for, I mean, it was about the same. $69 you left with. $69 you paid for. You know what I'm saying? So, >> it just seems hard to me when you're scanning yourself out when you would realize, hey, nearly half of the items I've selected aren't on the the U scan here. Okay. >> I Well, I didn't really look at it either. I >> mean, you should I mean, how'd you pay? >> Well, yeah, I paid with the on the little thing, but I didn't like their pay with cash. Did you pay? >> No, I paid my card. >> Okay. And I mean, you didn't think, well, this is about half of what it should be or anything like that? >> No, these are like cheap. These are like seven bucks. The woman now says she'll pay for everything, hoping that might solve the problem. Unfortunately for her, it's a little too late for that. >> I don't know. Whatever Whatever I didn't pay for, though, I'm happy to pay for. >> Okay. Well, we'll go in there and talk to her. Is there anything else that you have in your car that you're not sure if you paid for or not? >> No, that's the only bag that we grabbed. >> Where's the actual back bag? Is it in the car still? >> Uh, >> did you guys go through it, Jason? I do not. >> Okay. >> Is your daughter okay? She's not like freaking out or anything. Oh, she's my dad, isn't she? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. And that bag is just a stig pack that had a bunch of waters in it. We were >> Do you mind if I just look real quick? Is that okay? >> Yeah, that's fine. Okay. All right. Thank you. >> You said the cigarette pack was already like the cigarettes those are already paid for and gone. the new fors. >> Oh, yeah. >> Let me get it. Let me get it. Yeah. Thank you. I appreciate it. >> Okay. >> How do you get this guy open so I don't break it? Do you push in or what do you do? >> Stuck. I don't have anything in there though. Just like a bunch of random jumps. I can open it for you. Okay. And I don't care if you got like two here either. I don't >> I left my whole freaking wall. >> Oh, fell down. You're a nurse. Oh, excuse me. >> Where you work at? >> Where you work at? Can I shut the gas? >> Yeah, you can turn off your car, too. Don't turn off your window. Turn your car off. You're going to burn up all your gas. You want me to turn it off for you? I'll turn it off for you. lock in here. >> Now, it's time to head into Walmart to speak with the staff and figure out exactly what the suspect paid for and what she allegedly took. >> So, we'll go in there. Um, >> might as well. Uh, >> so we'll we'll try to figure out what you paid for, what you didn't you're not sure. I've got your wallet right there. I'll grab it. And then you got stuff in there you paid for that you need to get, too. >> Probably. I don't know. She just scares me about even like Goofy didn't want to come up to me and say, "Hey, look, um I like seeing something or something like that." It would have been different. But her coming up to me like like she's somebody in authority and I don't know. Sorry. So when we go in here, just keep in mind that I'm choosing not to charge you with a felony, right? So I explained that. So when we do go in there, let's not be mad and pick her back and forth. Let's handle business. Okay. >> No, I'm not. Is that fair? Okay. All right. I'm just saying she engages you. >> Yeah. Is that fair? You see what I'm saying? Okay. >> Yeah. Cuz I just want to go >> Yep. We're just swimming. >> Yep. And we we'll be able to do that. We're just going to go through this office up here to the left. >> Yep. >> Hey, come in. All right. This the lady ma'am, would you sit down right here on this bench if you don't mind? >> Yes. >> So, this is the product that she had her car. She was >> Yeah. What did I not? >> This is the only other item on the list. >> This is stuff that she did. >> Yep. So, she's got two swimsuits on here and the two elastic things. Like I told you, the ponytail, right? >> And I knew that white clothing item went to the bag for. So this is >> Were both of these paid for, Valerie? >> Yes. So she's got the two elastic pony counts and then she's >> And before the woman leaves, Walmart staff make it clear that the citation isn't the only consequence she'll be facing. at Walmart. All right. >> Uh due to the physical altercation between us um and the lack of cooperation today, you're going to be trespassing from all Walmart properties forever. Okay. You're no longer allowed on any Walmarts, Sam's Club, and Mercy. >> Okay. Well, I I do want to apologize. it. I told them I was going to They tried to get me and when you come up to me and grabbed my car and I guess you didn't grab I thought you grabbed me. I don't know. It elicited a response in me and I just So I'm I'm sign for me please. Uh it is all on video though. I did not ever touch you. Okay, >> that that's fine. I like I said, I'm >> I'm sorry I didn't do the only item I have to add to the list of things. >> So, it's not going to like >> And then this is all all hers to take cuz she paid for it, right? >> Okay. Um >> I'll pay for the rest of the stuff. I need whatever I didn't have. No, it's okay. >> They don't they don't want you to. So, just let be what it's going to be. Um why don't you go out, load this in your car. I'll do your two tickets and you'll be out of here. Okay. Do you need to get a photograph of her? >> Photo is not going to be posted on any social media. It's going to go into a system that does what I do. Okay. >> Thank you. >> Let me see your point. >> Oh, the bottom of that. >> Yep. >> Thank you. >> So, you understand? Do you want to read this? It says you can wait in your car. You can work wherever you want. Um, I just got to finish those two tickets and you'll be out of here. Okay, only I get you your tickets, you'll be out of here. Okay. >> Ultimately, the incident ended with a woman receiving a citation for retail theft. Shoplifting mom comes up with the worst excuse. On October 12th, 2025, officers were called to a Walmart after loss prevention allegedly caught a woman skip scanning items at selfch checkckout. By the time officers arrived, she was already waiting inside the loss prevention office. rid of them back. Um we have one currently we have another one coming. They just didn't put them together. >> Okay. >> Um cuz we're working on the other one right now. This is the photo from this one. >> So I'm not sure how much the other one is. So it might be over five. >> Okay. How do you how do you pronounce your first name? >> Yes. >> Yes. Okay. Is there somebody else too? >> Um, they were together, but it was just >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Just I'm I'm going to read you your Miranda rights. Okay. >> Am I under? >> So, you're not under arrest right now, but since we're in the closed room uh right now, you're not free to go, but you're not under arrest. Okay. Um, so you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have them present with you while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before any questioning if you wish. And you can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any of my questions or make any statements. Do you understand your rights? Okay. Do you want to tell me kind of what happened? >> Yeah. I was I literally was just like not paying. It's cuz my son is with us. Okay. >> And he's at the age when he wants to run around. So, I was just kind of hurrying up and going like, so what I do is I just scan my weight first and everything and I just got like distracted. I don't know. >> You can come in. You can come in. >> Yeah, you can take the car, too. >> Now, the employee walks both women through exactly what caught loss prevention's attention in the first place. >> Okay. So then, so then after So usually you scan the W card first and then scan all the items. >> Yeah. >> So it was just kind of I think that's what it was, but my intention was not to store it. >> Okay. >> I'll pay for all of it right now. >> Okay. Um, do you guys have the video? >> Yeah. >> I mean, I get it. Like it wasn't like a tent, but like I did pause register like five times. That's why you kept getting those warnings popping up that I kept pausing it to see if you were going to like be a little bit honest about not to put yourself in bags. >> I gave it opportunity. >> You're scared that I didn't I saw it whenever there's >> it paused three times. Every time the girl went to help you, that's when I paused. Nothing happened on her and I >> my lines twice >> and I called her and then I didn't know it. I didn't know what she had scanned so I didn't want to rescan it. So, I was thinking stuff after the bag to see and then I thought it did like a timeout. So, I just did it separate. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Did you guys want to pursue or >> Yeah. Okay. >> I'm going to give you back. I didn't realize. I actually brought them into I didn't realize I need to >> and then did you guys want to do trespass or >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um so you're saying so they do want to pursue charges. Okay. Uh I understand you know we make mistakes sometimes. Um but we can't argue that here. That's going to be for your your argument while in court. Okay. Um and it is over $500. So it is a felony amount. Okay. So we are going to have to take a trip down to the detention center. Okay. >> She continues saying she simply made a mistake but according to loss prevention warnings had already appeared on her screen and even then more than $500 worth of merchandise went unscanned. >> Um as far as your little boy is will I have to like stay there or >> so you have you have to be arraigned by the judge. Uh the judge sometimes does arraignments over the weekend uh over the phone. Just depends. Have you ever been arrested before? No. Okay. Um as far as the the jail goes, I don't know exactly how their operations works, how busy they are. Uh but once you get arraigned by the judge, and the arraignment is basically a reading of your charges, and then your chance to enter a plea of either guilty, not guilty, or no contest, and then you'd be released on a court date. Okay. Um but I'm I'm just worried about you. But boys, you have somebody that can can watch my mom, but I'm just I'm a single mom. That's why. >> Yeah, I I get it. Um but can we make arrangements for or can can you take him to or are you mom? >> I'm mom. >> Okay. I'm sorry. Um so would you be willing to take care of him? >> Okay. >> Once again, they argue that everything happened by accident, but staff have their reasons for believing otherwise. I mean, she's never I just was an accident. I apologize. It seems like this. >> No, but like we were saying, like I was telling her earlier, we weren't saying that she intentionally or intentionally, however, once it like we get it, it happens. But we have our policy is whatever doesn't get paid for and it goes to the doors, we have to get it back and then um we have to uh charge for it. Okay. >> So, I'll be willing to fight you for our test. Yeah. So, our policy is we can't let you pay for part because either um like you have opportunity or that whatever the case was. Like I said, we're not paying you on purpose. Um that's just the policy. You guys are saying like, you know, it was not intentional like charging. It's just our policy. We have to if it's over that certain amount, uh we have to. >> So, so they're not the victims. Walmart's the victim, right? So Walmart has the policy that they need to pursue charges and then Walmart is the victim in the case. So then they're the ones that are wanting to pursue. It's not it's not them personally. It's nothing personal against them towards you. It's just their Walmart policy is any anytime a shop thrifter whatever it happens and then they have to call they have to make the report. They have to do their investigation and then we have to do our side. So I'm I'm not saying and they're not saying you're guilty, none of that. But by policy technically you did you did shoplift you took it past the point of sales without paying for it right um but like you said >> we upload our video and stuff to this and then they get or we send the video to them and then they show the judge and all that stuff so it'll be on them um to watch the video and then they're like oh yeah I can see this was happening this is happening we'll drop it or oh I see this is happening but you did this so we're going to drop it. So, it's just kind of whatever they do on after you go with them is on them, but they have nothing to do with it. >> And before she leaves, Walmart makes one thing clear. >> There will just be the video. We'll send them the video to the link that they send us. And then um they'll watch it, the judges watch it, and whoever else needs to watch it watches it. And then they'll be the ones to um charges and fancy charges on the trespasses like two different ones. >> No. So the charges is for the merchandise. That's a whole separate thing. But the um the trust passes for our policy we have to um we have to do that. >> So after today you won't be allowed to come back to is it just this Walmart? >> It's technically all Walmarts. >> Okay. Um, but I mean since we've been cooperative, we we can just do ours and then >> Yeah, we can just do it with ours and then that way you can still >> and then you can always contest the trespass with corporate and, you know, plead your case to them. They can lift the the trespassing from from their system. Um, >> yeah. So if you go to court and everything on there and gets dropped and stuff, you can call the 1-800 number and let them know what happened, the charges are dropped and you can get that note and then if they do end up um the charges stay, then after a year from today, so this time the next year, um you can call and then tell them it's been a year and um like nothing else has happened or anything like that. Um and then it'd be up to them whether they want it. So from as of now the other stores are still shocked. Um but if anything else happens there then it'd be up to them. >> At this point the woman has another concern. She wants to know if something different can be worked out for her daughter. >> Is there any way you could release her to my husband's custom a police officer? So, I I can't uh especially with with it being felony amount. Uh I I can't if it was uh under 250 and it was petty misdemeanor, then we could do a citation. Usually, that's what we do for for people who are cooperative. Uh but at a felony amount, I can't I can't do that. >> So, will I stay in there the whole night? >> I that I'm not sure on that one. Um >> Okay. I'm just worried about him cuz she has her own life and schedule, so it's just not >> Yeah. And once we get there, I mean, we can talk to them. I'll I'll let them know you've been nothing but cooperative with me. Uh, and then the the biggest thing that the the jail has is whenever people are being uncooperative with them and then they're taking, you know, 2 hours to get booked in and then they want and they want and they want and they want and they're like, "No, hold on." So, I'll let them know just to say, "Hey, like what's the process? Like, uh, how can we, you know, expedite it a little bit?" Um, so that we can get back to your report. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Um, one more thing. Can I just walk out with you? >> Yeah, I'm I that was that was what I was going to say. I'm not going to put cuffs on you, but when we do get to the car, for our policy, I have to uh so you'll you'll have the handcuffs on. I'll put them to the front so it'll more comfortable for you. And then I'll >> I just had surgery, so yeah, great. >> Okay. Um, and then I'll just I'll try to get the paperwork knocked out as fast as I can and we'll we'll get you down there. And then um do you have anything that you want to give to your mom? Um any jewelry or anything like that? I just don't want you to lose it. >> It's permanent. >> Okay. >> Like it doesn't come off. >> Oh, okay. You saying do you have your driver's license one more time? >> Oh, sorry. >> And this is just a trespassing card. >> So verbally you've been trespassed. Then this is just for their documentation and records for for the trespass. Okay. >> At this point, the officer is simply waiting for the remaining paperwork. But while they wait, the woman's mother still has one more concern she wants to be addressed. >> So, um, my thing is she just had surgery and she's constantly having to change her gloves. Are they going to help her with that or what's going to happen? Is there an open room right now? >> So, they they have the the nursing staff there and then all the nurses are under the doctor. Um, but if if they don't think that she's good enough to go into the detention center, then they'll send her to the hospital for medical clearance and then the medical or whatever they need to do on their end. I'm not medical, so I could, but they'll clear her for for the detention on that. You ready? >> Okay. >> So, I'm just parked out here to the right. Okay. >> Okay. No, you can just go over there and help me. >> I love you. >> Okay. Start places first. >> Yeah. If you just hand me your phone. >> Oh, yes. >> And then >> that's it. >> Okay. You want to Let's see. You want to shut it off for me so it saves your saves your battery. All right. Here you go. >> Oh, wait. Did you say you wanted to handcuff me first? >> No. No. You can have a seat. >> That's not very comfortable in there. >> Yeah. And then uh for your recent surgery that you had, what was that? >> Um so I had my gallbladder removed. >> Okay. >> But it was like really inflamed, so I had to have a pump. >> Okay. >> So my stomach is kind of open right now. >> Okay. >> The woman was later transported without incident. This is all little ridiculous. This is I was kind of secretly hoping they were just like, "No." >> Yeah. >> And then Yeah. And then but then I guess we don't have a we don't have a say on on these ones. Following the incident, the 32year-old woman was charged with theft. Police find way more than expected inside shoplifters's car. On February 11th, 2024, Walmart employees reported that suspected shoplifters had just driven away, but they didn't get very far before an officer spotted a vehicle matching the description. Here's what happened next. >> Hello, I'm Deputy Scooter, the Champion County Sheriff's Office. So, the reason why I pulled you over is cuz your vehicle is matching description of vehicle that was just in a retail over in Seavoi. >> Seavoi? >> Yeah. Where have you guys been today? >> I just got in the car. I just picked up my daughter. >> Okay. Well, I'm going to wait here with you while we get the deputies that are on scene to come down here cuz I'm not too familiar with what's going on there. But that's why I'm talking to you right now and I got >> Seo where my daughter Mariah live over. >> Okay. Well, >> boy yesterday. >> Like I said, I'm not I'm not too familiar with the whole situation. >> They're going to come over here and they'll talk to you more and give you more specifics. >> All right. >> Yeah, that's the reason why I'm not in contact and I'm audio video recording my body camera. Okay, that's fine. >> He said a banner. I mean, >> I'm Deputy School of >> I don't know. He just said somebody. I just dropped my daughter off. >> Shnooks called and said he stole some snacks. Snooks and Seavoy. >> I stole some snacks. >> Yeah. >> Who stole some snacks? >> You got you. >> That's what they're reporting. We're not saying that's what happened, but that's why you're being stopped till we figure it out. Obviously, if you took something, it's best just to let us know so we can be done with it. >> She bought her groceries. My other daughter receipt now and if the stuff matches that. I was just on the phone with manager stuff and they gave your two description. >> What did they say? >> Your description. That was what >> the black jacket, the black bonnet that she had a pink bonnet with a three-colored coat and whitish colored pants with a large purse. So, it's either red or pink. And that's what I'm looking at right now. >> This isn't worth going to jail for. Believe me, >> it's really not. >> So, is this the stuff you guys stole? >> Turning over the bag of chips is easy enough, but the officers are about to find out there's a lot more going on here. >> Did you guys pay for any of this? >> Okay. I appreciate the in the hallway. >> Hold on. Hold on. >> Slow down. >> I have an ID from both of you, please. >> I don't have my ID. >> Okay. >> Do you have an ID on you, ma'am? >> That would be >> Is it a shelter? >> I don't know. >> I'd have to I'd have to look. It could be. >> Yeah, I think I was there for like a month or two. Okay. >> But I I don't think I've ever used that for an ID. >> Huh. >> I just got my ID recently. Remember? And >> it's not a real big deal. Well, it's it's just it's on an expired license when it come back on. >> I got my I just got a new ID. >> Okay. Okay. All right. You want to get her out? Have her come back here. I want to get this one out. >> Yeah. >> Can you just step out and stand back here for a second? We're going to >> There's nothing else in the vehicle that you're aware of, right? That was stolen or illegal. Okay. going to do a search real quick and make sure and then we'll get you guys some mas and get you out of here. Okay. Can you come back up here for a second? >> Last chance. Stop lying to me. Okay. >> Okay. >> You're Chanel, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, why'd you lie? >> Because I had a warrant. >> Okay. What's your warrant for? >> From traffic. >> Okay. How old is it? It's >> like 2 years. >> Okay. Just the one warrant. >> Yes. >> Okay. So, the >> all this unpaid stuff was also in the purse. >> No, this this this stuff that my sister had and we just took it out the bag and I just had my purse. >> This is also from Snooks. >> That's some stuff that she had and she gave it to me. As we taking the groceries in, she giving me stuff. >> Okay. I'm not I'm not saying she wasn't. I'm just trying to make figure it all out. Okay. >> Yeah. The officer can't help but notice all the merchandise sitting inside the vehicle. And now he wants to know whether everything else was actually paid for. So the ranch packets and all these towels and stuff. But I got to go back down there and watch all the camera footage anyways. >> No, that has >> Okay. So I'm just giving you a chance. Be honest with me now. >> No, that's nothing to do with it. >> Okay. This either. >> No. >> Okay. >> And then who who >> I'll come back. >> Who bought all the stuff at Walmart? >> My sister. Okay. >> Where did you guys drop her off at? >> She say in Havana. >> Okay. You don't know the address? >> Um, no. I don't know her address. >> And you dropped her off, right? >> Yeah. >> After Walmart or after Snooks or what? >> After Snooks. >> So, you went to Walmart and then Snooks and then dropped her off. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, you from Snooks. How did you get to Orana? Do you remember >> when the that back road >> like by the pl by what what's that back road by the highrise? It's like a brand. We took like by a cornfield >> when you guys So you went to Walmart and then Shnooks and then dropped off your daughter, right? >> Yeah. That back by the cornfield. >> Oh, I don't know that. She don't want to know that road cuz she >> It's a back road. >> So you went over that way over down that way. Okay. >> All right. house. >> And then she gave us stuff from the house, right? >> Okay. >> So, >> okay. How'd she pay? How'd she pay for this stuff? >> Some of this stuff was in my auntie's car already sold as well. That stuff was in the back of his truck already. >> Okay. How'd she pay for the stuff at Walmart? Yeah. >> My daughter got a link car. She got >> a link card. Okay. Okay. I'll just Can you step up here for a second, Lorine? >> Yeah. And the more the officer looks through the car, the more merchandise he begins to find. >> Okay. So, in your purse was also this stuff that it's unopened. What? This is >> This No, this is from That's the kids stuff. We just put stuff in bed. We throw stuff in bed. Some stuff was on my seat back there from yesterday and my daughter's just throwing stuff up in there. >> Okay. So, where did the mustard and the ranch come from? >> That this came from Walmart. >> Okay. That came from Walmart. Yes, that came from Walmart and she must have got off the back of the truck. That came from Walmart. I'm not going to lie to you, officer. >> I'm just trying to figure it all out. >> Yeah, I understand that Walmart. >> Okay. I said it was pay for the link card. >> All right, let me finish your call up. >> Hello. I'm call you back. I'm about to go to jail >> because of your warrants. >> Warrants? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Tell them just call my kids and just tell them, "Can I take my debit card with me?" >> Yeah, we'll get that. >> We'll grab it after. >> All right. So, they about to take me to jail. >> So, she has some war. I'm going to go to jail. Okay. warrants for arrest. What? >> He has warrants for arrest. >> Trying to get your sleeve out of the way and not pinch you. You have a valid license off SR22 >> expired but yeah otherwise valid. >> Yeah. >> How much is that y'all? >> Uh I'll try to figure that out. I don't know if it has one or not. >> I'll have to see how old the wars are. >> You step over here. >> With everything they found so far, the officer now explains to the younger woman exactly what happens next. So, I'm just going to be upfront with you real quick. Okay. You've been for the most part cooperative once we got it figured out. Okay. >> So, that's my sergeant right over there in the black car. Okay. >> And he's getting ready to watch the footage from the traffic stops for those tickets that are in your purse. Was that you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. I assume so. I said not my first day. Okay. And I understand it. I get it. Not Not the end of the world. It's not the crime of the century. Okay. You're not outbody. You're not out. Let me get you a tissue. My sister is aware of that she was on the phone, but it was because I have my kids. Can I reach your face? I got you and I ain't want to go to jail. So, >> I understand. I understand. Like I said, I get it. >> Thanks. >> Um, like I said, I get it. That's why I assume that's what it was. Not my first day. Not my first time having somebody lie to the other day. Okay. Been there, done that many times. That's why I was so suspicious. I recognize the signs that I'm being lied to. Okay. >> And I get it though. I understand. It's worth trying, right? You know, obviously he's gotten you through before. Some cops aren't going to notice it. It happens. >> Okay. I'm just trying to be human about it. Okay. >> Yeah. >> So, um, give me a second to finish up. I'm going to figure out if there's a bond on your warrants. >> If not, then you'll have to wait till you see a judge and then they'll decide your release status. Okay. I'll figure all that out for you and get you as soon as I can. Okay. >> And the search just keeps going. Minutes later, the officers are still finding more merchandise inside the vehicle. >> These are the same paper towels. >> Okay. The paper. I'm sorry. >> What about these plastic bowls? >> I don't know about it. >> These? >> No. >> Think she got them bowls? No. >> This came from uh Walmart. >> I don't know. >> There's dip inside, too. That's not in a bag. There's Sprite. There's more vegetables. >> That's spider. No, that's spider right there. I don't lie. >> Where did this shook? >> That's come from Walmart. Yeah, >> it says on. >> Oh, sorry. I'm sorry. So, I'm >> So, I'm sorry. >> So, did did this just get put in the purse too at Shnooks or what? >> I don't know. If it says Snooks, it got to be Snooks. I ain't going to lie. there. I'm getting where my daughter bought that. That's >> you know. >> No, they cooking these come from Walmart. This my >> This is This is all from her purse. >> This This here was already in the car. That's my baby. He had it. >> Okay. That was on the floor. It's okay. >> Okay. He had it yesterday. >> This all came from her purse. I just put it in a Walmart bag. >> Oh, all that [ __ ] back there busted up. >> Yeah. getting this out. >> I'm not tired about the Walmart stuff. >> The traffic infraction was already a problem. Now she and her mother have an entirely separate issue with Walmart to deal with. Randall stopped. She lied about the date of birth initially, but he doesn't really get a good picture of her. >> She admitted it to me and Miranda. Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Cool. Um, >> cool. So, she used her sister's name. >> Didn't get caught. That's why she did it again. >> Yeah. >> I told her I was like, "Look, I recognize the signs. I was suspicious from the beginning with your name." Okay. It's why I looked as hard as I did and looked into it so hard like something was up. >> Okay. So, with one final opportunity to tell me about the stuff being stolen from Walmart, >> what up? >> What? How did the Walmart theft go? We already got Snooks figured out. Okay. And I'm not even giving the chance to say that Walmart was paid for cuz I'm already past that. I know it wasn't. >> My daughter did find >> No, she didn't. Last chance. So, what happened at Walmart? >> You said I going to go to jail. >> You just said I want to go to jail. If if you're honest with me, I'll write you the NTA. If you're going to keep lying to me, a notice to appear. >> Okay. >> If you're going to keep lying to me, then I might as well just go to jail. >> Okay. Well, I'm going to go lie to you. Yeah. Some of the >> stuff. Okay. So, how So, what happened at Walmart? Did we pay for part of it and selfch checkckout and leave? Did we cuz they're they're getting their footage right now. >> I'm going to figure out. I just told her. I'm going to have the answer. >> Yes. I leave some of it was paid for, some of it was not paid for. I can't say what was paid for was not paid for. I can't say that to be honest. Like I said, I'm just giving you that chance to be honest. >> But I know. >> Yes. >> But some of it was paid for. >> Some was not paid for. >> Okay. >> Like I said, I don't know what. >> Okay. So, I'll figure all that out then. >> With the search finally over, the officers can now start bringing the encounter to a close. >> Hell, you can take it off. All I care about. Yeah, I know. Hey, I mean, >> you know, >> I am taking it all. >> I mean, I don't >> if I find out some was paid for, I'll get that back to you. Okay. Like I said, I don't know. Some of was some I don't know what was and what was not. I'm keeping I don't know. >> That's fine. I appreciate that honesty. Okay. >> She can work that out with Walmart. We're not giving any of them back. >> Go to Walmart. Mr. >> All right. Hang on just a second. Okay. So, there's your copy. Your court date is on February 29th at 1:30 p.m. at the courthouse here in Arbana. Okay. Make sure you go to that. I issue that warrant. All right. >> Yeah. >> I just told you that it's for retail theft. The statute and all your information up top. Okay. >> Okay. >> You have any questions for us? >> No. >> Okay. The stuff they sold, we're not sure exactly how much they stole yet. It's at least over 20 um over 25 and they keep they won't give us their IDs. They won't do anything cuz they say they stole. >> Yeah. >> So, are you just >> Now they're trying to get a refund. >> Are you just trying to trespass them? >> Trying to get in the office so we can see what they stole. >> You guys come with us. >> I'm going to get my money back. >> We need you to come with us. You wasn't even looking at our receipt, >> right? I don't understand why they need our ID to check our car. What sense does that make? >> Even check get your ID. But the suspects aren't exactly making that easy. >> I told them to tell me what I'll pay for it. >> They want to act like that's not how it works. He told me that seven times watching my girl. >> You can watch you sit. You got to sit nowhere. Stop. >> You know they'll find any reason to Why are you trying to escalate this? Watching how he about broke her wrist. He ain't about my break. Nobody. You are being stop. This is going to be a simple freaking trespass. >> They would have looked at the receipts. So they would ask for an ID. >> You would have just came back here and been like, "Yeah, this is my I paid for it." Would have been in the story, right? But instead, you would act up no act. They asked you for an ID, bro. They didn't ask for the receipt for it. They ask for an ID. What the asking for an ID for? >> So we can take your name, >> man. My name is That's what I know.
