As he crossed into Tennessee, troopers and deputies closed in, setting the stage for a deadly showdown. Police signaled him to stop, but he hit the gas, triggering a prolonged pursuit with THP and Knox County deputies in tow. He calmly weaved through traffic, never exceeding 85 mph. A strangely composed move for a man on the run. >> Going to be covered up by that. [Music] The officers were ready, spike strips in place, just waiting for his tires. But to their surprise, he dodged them. With every reckless move, he was stacking charges against himself, and he didn't even know it. He even threw a magazine containing one clip out the window. Seconds later, backup boxed it in. Nowhere left to run. [Applause] From the driver's seat, Marillo raised a semi-automatic pistol and opened fire. Four deputies and a THP officer fired back. Nearly 70 rounds lit up the night. Marillo was hit multiple times, collapsing into the back seat with the gun still in hand. Amid the chaos, officers rushed to rescue passenger Mario, miraculously unharmed. A case that consumed 70 rounds of ammunition highlights the extreme danger involved. Police acknowledged that no case had ever used so many bullets. Thankfully, no officers were injured and Christian Ramos Mario kept his vow he would never return to Florida alive. Around 5:30 p.m. Arkansas, a federal level pursuit unfolded as Arkansas State Police joined Tex Arcana PD in locating a stolen vehicle. The urgency escalated fast. Behind the wheel was a 17-year-old out on bond for murder. With the threat level rising, officers sprang into action immediately. [Music] After the previous case was still pending, the judge added charges for theft and fleeing. This time, it looks like he'll have to spend much longer before he's free to roam the streets again. In Los Cruus, New Mexico, officers Rogers and Madrid pulled over a 24 year old woman driving a 2025 Kia after she was found sitting motionless in the middle of a busy intersection. She had hit the curb several times and when questioned casually admitted she'd been drinking since around 10 or 11 that morning as well with you. The moment she stepped out of the car, it felt like two footballs smacked me straight in the eyes. I was stunned for a second before I snapped back to reality. That was one visual ambush I didn't see coming. If anyone else got hit like I did. >> The reason I'm pulling over is because you were stopping there in the middle of the road. >> Yeah. And then I when I was pulling you over and you curb checked us. >> Okay. The scent of alcohol on her breath and the tremble in her voice said it all. Once she admitted to drinking, the officers had their answer. Time to begin the sobriety tests. Let's see how she handles each challenge with the weight of intoxication clouding her every move. >> Right there. Good. Put your put your left foot on my tin. >> Heels together. together. Go ahead. Put your hands on the side. You're going to stay in this position. I tell you otherwise. Okay. >> Each slow, stiff step felt like a performance, an attempt to say, "I've got this. I'm fine." We're going to go up this time. Okay. Go ahead. When the young woman was told she was under arrest for DWI, her expression froze in disbelief. That indecision dragged on for nearly four minutes, leaving officers unable to proceed. Under New Mexico law, such vague resistance counts as a refusal, automatically elevating the charge to aggravated DWI, a far more serious offense with much harsher consequences. I got the seat belt cuz the seat belt was >> stand. >> Okay, >> so listen to me. I'm about to tell you something important. >> You're under risk for driving while I talk to you. >> After arriving at the station, the young woman shifted from denial to panic as the reality of jail set in. She spoke anxiously about crazy people in jail, nervously adjusted her clothes, and trembled while cooperating during intake. Her emotional breakdown stood in stark contrast to the calm professionalism of the officers. A powerful reminder that a DUI arrest isn't just a legal matter, but a deeply human ordeal. >> I I'm sorry. Like, I'm again, >> your right to speak to an attorney um or remain silent doesn't apply to the requirement of New Mexico law uh that you take the breath test.
