The high-speed pursuit tore through multiple streets in the clipgget area of Mayopane as residents looked on unaware of what was unfolding. [music] As the suspect approached a school zone, he maintained dangerously high speeds and nearly struck a student walking [music] to school, escalating the threat to innocent lives. The pursuit ended when the driver lost control and came to a stop along the roadside. side. At that point, officers fired four additional shots into the [music] vehicle's tires to prevent any further attempt to flee. At the intersection of Vance and Eureka, the front seat passenger pulled out a black AK-47 and fired multiple rounds at the pursuing officers. The violence escalated further at Utah and Highland, where the suspect leaned out of the window and fired four additional shots toward law enforcement.
