Detectives had been conducting surveillance on a known associate suspecting she would lead them to Keon Collins and Ian Scott, two fugitives with active felony warrants. Their patience paid off when the group was spotted exiting a flea market. During the arrest, the immediate danger of the situation became clear. Collins was found with a loaded Glock 22 tucked into his front waistband with a round already in the chamber. A closer inspection of the weapon revealed it had mismatched serial numbers on the barrel and slide confirming it was the stolen firearm listed in his warrant. Collins was transported to the Broward County Main Jail and charged with possession of a stolen firearm and carrying a concealed firearm.
