On January 17th, a 10-year-old boy called 911 claiming to have done the internet trend called the one chip challenge and needed medical assistance. Officers and paramedics responded. Due to the subject being a minor, extra censorship has been added to this video. >> Hello. You might want to try this front door, too. >> Okay. >> Hello, please. Police. Hello, police. Oh, it's a closet. That's a closet. >> Yeah. >> See, you have a cell phone. >> I have a watch. It's dead. Yeah. >> Do you your parents know we're here? >> I don't know. If I called them, they wouldn't pick up. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Do you know their phone number? >> Uh-uh. That's the thing. I don't know their phone cuz when every time I call them it's a weird watch. >> Yeah. Every time I call them like it acts weird. >> We should have their information. You're you we've dealt with this young man a number of times. I think we have his parents info >> in the CAD. Hopefully they can see that number >> find it. >> The highest 100 means you're breathing. >> Get his name for me, would you? >> Yeah. So your stomach's hurting. That's just it's some people's stomachs don't like spicy stuff, so it's just going to hurt. What's What's your name? >> Do you have milk? You have milk here? >> No. I mean, I do, but >> we have an extensive history of this. Can you try? >> My stomach kind of hurts a little bit now. >> What' you do to yourself? >> Spicy what? Challenge. >> Spicy chip. >> I'm sorry. Could you repeat that? And then that's all that will >> show history for that watch or anything. >> Where's your What's your last name? >> Where's Where's >> your parents last name, too? >> Yeah. >> Where's the chips that you ate? Right over there. >> 42 Falls Radio. Go ahead. >> Even like the Okay. >> What' you do? What's the ch? What's the challenge? >> You got to eat the chip without any water or anything. Paul Edward. >> So, one thing we had concerns about when we went over is if the history would transfer. So, we've been here num numerous times over the last three or four years and she said there's nothing showing >> in the history which can be an >> just like it is now. >> I don't know if it's >> Where are your parents now? >> Work. >> Where do they work? myself and throw away. >> My mom works in the place my dad works in. >> Do you know the names of either places? >> Uhuh. >> Do you have a legal party uh parent or I'm sorry, legal um guardian or anybody like a family member who could assist us? >> Only my parents. >> Just your parents cuz you guys are from Russia, correct? >> Ukraine. >> Ukraine. Okay. >> You don't have any like older brothers or sisters or like cousins? >> I do, but they're in Ukraine right now. >> Oh, okay. Any family friends that your parents have made since you lived here? >> Yeah, but like there my mom's not really friends with them anymore cuz they're always mean to her. So >> Okay. >> Well, >> what do your parents do? >> Uh my mom works as company, I think, but I don't know the place name. My dad just works at a restaurant. >> We probably need to get that information. >> Yeah. Well, we need to talk to him cuz he has to go to the hospital. I don't disagree with you. You called 911. >> Listen, I know that I've had those numbers put into our file before. >> You called 911 and you're a minor. >> So, you can't make medical decisions for yourself. >> I'm going to I'm going to dispatch. >> Okay. >> I'm talking to your parents. >> Go ahead. >> Okay. I'm not showing any kind of history when I run master name or anything in CAD. I was just informed we don't have any of your guys's history transferred over to us yet. I can't find anything >> working. >> All right, another question's been brought up in the past. I will try dispatch see if they can get me some information. Thank you though. >> Who' you try calling last? >> This number right here. >> Who's this at? my friend. >> Who's your What's your mom and dad's number? >> Uh, that's the thing. I don't know their number. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> A week ago. >> Hey, Dana, it's Kim. >> Hi. How are you? >> I'm all right. I'm stuck. I was wondering if you guys could help us. So apparently uh they don't have any of the history transferred to their files on anybody that we deal with in our city, which is a question for another day. But we have a juvenile who we've dealt with a number of times that lives in our city, and I'm looking for the parents information because I know they're from the Ukraine. There is a language barrier, but we need to transport him to the hospital. He's 10. If I gave you a a name of the juvenile and an address, do you think you might be able to find it or no? >> I can try. >> Okay. The address. >> How much will it be the hospital? >> Not sure. But if we can get a hold of your parent, you don't have to go. >> When you're ready. >> Go ahead. >> Sorry. >> The name and phone number of his parents. I know we've been How are you feeling right now? >> Better, but I feel like scared cuz I don't know like what's going to happen to me. >> Nothing. >> I mean, nothing's going to happen to you, but when you call 911, we come out, we have to talk to a parent cuz you're not 18. >> Yeah. >> Do you call a lot of friends on here or Dana? When you're ready, let me know. stupid thing. Hold on. I'm trying to do this to old. >> Who's that? >> Oh, that's my mom. >> That's what it said. >> Yeah. He's on the phone with his mom. >> He's on the phone. >> Hey, Dana. >> Dana. His mom just called him, so I think we'll be okay for now. But for future reference, are we able are you guys able to access the older Um, when he's done, do you want to grab her number off that so you guys could add it to? >> You're a new kid. So you guys have Mhm. He he called and said he did some kind of challenge, but he ate spicy Dorito. >> Is he the guy who plays? >> Yes. >> Yeah, >> I know him. I just didn't know the story, but hey, it's good to know. >> Yeah. So, he saw his mom on the phone, so I think we'll be all right. >> Yeah. [Applause] [Applause] I mean, not 2016, 2015. No, 2014. >> The juvenile is his mom did call him. Again, she speaks uh limited English. They're from Ukraine, not Russia. My mistake on that. Mom's name. If you can please add it, I'll spell it. The first name is >> okay. Anything you guys need from us besides that? >> She just need a signature from the mom saying she he's fine to stay home. >> Okay. Well, this is afternoon shift. Unless you need something from officer me. We're going to clear. >> No, you're fine. >> Okay. >> How long does it take mom to get home? >> About 20 minutes. >> About 20 minutes. >> 14 will be out there. >> What did you take? I'm going to move my cruise and then block. All right. >> Doritos bag of Doritos. >> How many did you eat? >> Like 12. >> They're Doritos. >> Yeah. >> What What's sign significance of the bag of Doritos? >> I don't know. >> Why would you call 911? >> Spicy spicy ones. >> Chili lime. >> So they're they're hot. They're not even like I thought it was like the actual spicy. >> So like since sometimes the chili powder gets in my lungs. >> Well, then you know would be probably a good clue. Don't need. >> All right. >> Yeah, I'm good to see you. >> You think you could in my garage? >> No, you could. Nobody else can do that. All right, >> gentlemen. Anything else you need from us? Nope. Have a good day. Have a good one.
