Young lady right here. >> Where you going? That's for what? >> Ma'am. Ma'am. H radio. I got uh one listening walking away from seeing her. Ma'am, would you stop? >> Okay, you got one walking away. >> Stop. Got one running play. Black female black pants. Got a foot bag going in the D. You're going to get tags. Not going to feel good. Get on the ground now. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Lay down. >> Lay down. Arms out to the side now. >> Arms out to the side now. Show me your other hand. >> I'm going to tase you. Stop. back. I got one in custody in the parking lot of Dave. Okay. Parking lot directly across from Claymore. Hold your side. Knees to your chest. Knees to your chest. Bring your knees to your chest. Do it now. >> Knees to your chest. Do it now. >> Okay. Bring them up to your chest, please. >> We're going to guide everybody out. Stand up. Stand up. >> Just one change. Just one. Thank you. Stop moving around. I can't stop anyone from recording. Everything that's happening is being recorded. Here, take this off. We're in the car. Um, pat down. Make sure nothing. I run 6 miles a day. I don't know where you thought you were going. All right. >> Trying to get Yeah. I was trying to say, but Well, so what? >> Yeah, but I like to know what's going on before. >> No, no, no. That's what I was saying. I was trying to get it out quick enough, but I thought >> Here's what I know. The dispatch told me that >> I'm here for a fraud. So, what's >> I'm about to give it to you now. Are you the manager? >> The regional manager. >> Regional manager. Okay. So, got it. So, let's walk back there. >> Yeah. Do you want to take that stuff with you? >> No. Okay. I don't know. Sorry. Sorry. >> Okay. I mean, I caught her in the Dave's parking lot. >> The crazy part. I'm like, "I'm in shape. Should I run?" And I'm like, "Ah, you got it." >> Yeah. I don't know where she thought she was going. >> I was wondering that, too. I don't think she had a plan. She was just nodding. So, anyway, so uh I'm the regional loss prevention manager. >> Okay. >> Uh you in the store and I noticed they had a large amount of returns. >> This store? >> Yeah. Okay. >> So, I'm like, that's awkward, you know, with all the reporting. >> So, something abnormal versus >> Absolutely. It's an exception. It's exception based reporting. >> Got came back that she had uh $5,000 in returns. And >> you did herself employee. >> Yes, she's an employee in 30 days. So, as I watch footage, thank you. Oh, thank you for both. I appreciate you. Actually, can you just stand right there by my stuff? >> Um, so anyway, long story short, I drilled down to her specific and I noticed all holders were cash. Watched it on video. Cool. >> What do you mean all hers were cash? What do you mean by >> I forgot you're not in retail? >> Yeah, let's draw down. So when you do a return, so let's say I can fake a return. I can take all of this money up to the front and return it and get cash for it. >> Oh, so she's doing fake returns. >> So it's not >> Oh, okay. So she was taking stuff off. >> Taking receipts. So let's say you and your family come in here >> and on any retail system, if your wife says receipt, cool. We could reprint it. >> Print another receipt. >> That's what she was doing. >> Or she'll keep a receipt cuz sometimes I'll purchase I don't need a receipt. >> Okay. >> She'll just have a receipt. Type it in. Jorah Oakland's room. >> Gotcha. >> Money in pocket. >> Okay. >> So anyway, uh so I came here to >> And this was over the course of about 30 days. Yeah. >> How long you been an employee? >> I don't know. I got to pull an employee file. >> Do you anticipate more than what you discovered already? >> Ah, I'm not going to be be able to validate it though. Okay. I only got >> But you can validate at least a month of theft. >> The 2100. Yeah. Admit for the 2100 and I got the transactions. >> Um but anyway, so I came here for a visit. and the acting store manager was like, "She's actually here or the acting district manager." I said, "Perfect." >> Which the young lady that just brought over here, Susan, she's going to be the PLC. >> Okay. >> Um anyway, so I looked on video, validated everything and just pulled her in and talked to her and she cracked in like 5 minutes. It went from I don't know what you're talking about. Then you give details and it was I'm behind on rent and I had to pay for a baby. Same [ __ ] I hear all the time. >> My dispatch says something about she was working on a statement. Is that >> Yeah. So she wrote a statement >> saying that she did X, Y, and Z. I'm sorry I did it because blah blah blah. So that's what she was making copies for you. >> She also signed the restitution payment saying I'm going to pay city trans back, but it's just another admission of your guilt and you're you know what I mean? Okay. >> And then um I'll email Susan the transactions as well. So I'll give you the statement and the restitution. >> Here's here's what I would like to do uh just from you today. >> Copies of anything that you're willing to give me today. >> Yep. Those >> um I'm going to get your information. Mhm. >> I'm going to provide you the report number and my email and we can upload it there. >> Anything that you can put into an email form, uh, scan it in or a PDF, doesn't matter. You can, uh, email it over to me, I will forward it over to our evidence team and they'll put it in the computer system as a digital file. >> Perfect. um today just out of curiosity. She obviously got up and walked out and then turned into a little bit of a jog. >> Mhm. >> What happened? >> Fast-paced jog. >> Pretty fast-paced jog. >> Um what uh did anything happen inside the room? Did she make any threats or anything? >> No, she was calm with me. >> Okay. What? Uh, and then she pretty much did she indicate to you that she was going to leave when I got here? >> No. >> That just spur a moment. >> So, we didn't hear. So, once the other girl said, "The police are here, somebody." That's when she was like, "Oh." And that's why I tried to beat her out the door to tell you. >> You were trying to hand Was that your bag that you were trying to hand me or hers? >> No, I was trying. >> No, you had a bag in your hand when you first came out that door. You had >> That's my bag zipping up. >> Gotcha. I thought I got to be honest. I was like getting ready to like I thought you were like about to hand it to me. I was like I don't know what's going on. >> No, you're good. >> Okay. Um if you could do me a favor in the meantime, can I get your ID >> and then I'm going to list you as the regional loss prevention manager for City Trends? >> Yep. And Susan, which is the district manager, she's going to be your PC, though. >> Okay. Well, I beyond this beyond this, we're I I have nothing further beyond this. if the uh like pretty much what you told me and what you're giving me plus what I just had happen. >> Mhm. >> I'm the initial report taker. >> I won't be uh doing any further investigation beyond what you're providing me. I would afford it to if they infect the bureau. >> Got you. >> And then if they have any questions, they can reach out to >> I know jurisdiction do this different, but I've been doing this for like 15 years now. >> I got you. >> I be trying to get y what y'all need before. I wasn't expecting that though. >> Is this still a valid address for you? >> Uh on the back 185. That's the updated address. They just didn't give me a new uh >> they do that. >> You want like witness or anything? >> Uh I mean a written statement. Does she have any dealings with this? But you're the LP that finally did a >> witness. She was actually sitting there when I was talking to her. Can I get a statement from him and a statement from uh the lady in the white jack up there? >> You need either written or can I type it up? It's in it. >> I'm going to ask a written statement from you now just because we got uh >> you are good. >> So you didn't even expect us to be here today? >> No, I did not at all. This is actually the third store I've been to today. Like you come to your problem stores when you have visits. >> Okay. Has there been other issues with similar I mean it's a very interesting unique theft. >> I don't know how >> No, it's prevalent with inside retail. >> Really? Okay. Yeah. I >> call it embezzlement, but that's how they do it. >> So you would title this as embezzlement in in Michigan >> right here. >> Oh, so I cover 300 stores. >> Holy smokes. Okay. Shout out to frequent flyer miles. Let me pay for your travel hopefully. Dude, I got a Clover card. It's so great. Like I told a chick I know here like, "Hey, where are we going tonight for dinner?" She's like, "It doesn't matter." I'm like, "I'm not paying for it. I don't care. Where are we?" And then I booked myself in Vegas for the Super Bowl. I booked myself in Houston for the All-Star game. I >> just curious what's your zip code? What's your actual zip code? Uh, I'll give you that back. >> And I have to get uh what's still our our store keys are around her neck. >> You need those? Um, what is a good phone number for your best contact phone number? Let me get my phone. >> How was my radio traffic clear? Balls running. >> Clear. Hands. >> Well, you know you're running out of my hand. >> Uh 912. Sorry. You're not. >> Okay. And then that >> I'm going to give you card as officer verb badge bas car my report number >> the detective uh detective bure phone number all that stuff. >> Wow. I need to get out of the car before I go. Um I'm going to have you work on a written statement with this officer while I go get some paperwork for my I'm going to get you those keys too. >> How you doing? Are these all keys or >> she all their keys? >> Yeah, it looks like it. >> Back door keys. Let me make sure the front door keys on here that she take it off cuz that's the main one. >> I got you. >> Yeah. The only thing I was I was like, "What is he even on?" I said, "I didn't know what you were doing." And then I hear one running. I'm like, "Yeah, I was like just trying to like figure out why exactly was going." He's like, "Oh, she's she's she's going to run." So, I swear she like power walking. I'm like, "Ma'am, stop. Stop." She gets out as soon as she hits the side of that >> Yeah. >> uh small fort out there, >> she just like it was just like a jolt of lightning came over. row. I was like, "Oh, damn it." >> I just ran 6 miles today for my morning workout, too. >> You doing this? >> 6.15. No. >> When's that? >> 6.15. Um, >> really quick, I'll do that now. >> If you could email me that, that'd be awesome. >> Yeah, I'll do that now. >> Um, or a clip of it. Um, and then anything that you deem that's relevant that you want to provide me. Uh, particularly, um, do you have a spreadsheet or something of the receipts of these transactions? >> Y, that's what I was saying. I was >> If you could email me those, that'd be awesome. And then I'm going to send those over to the evidence text. >> Awesome. >> Um, so the report number's on there. Uh, my badge numbers on there. Uh, the non-emergency number's on there if you need to get a hold of me directly for some reason.
