We see so many liars and so much bad behavior on body cam, but this is what I think it looks like when somebody is actually telling the truth. Best of body cam, except this one is a little sad, but very interesting. I saw this on Tik Tok and I saw about a minute of it and then I asked my producers to go and find this one to see the full. This one is called homeless teen gets caught up in a bank scam. If anyone's watching this and says like, "I feel bad or this is sad." Yes, it is. But I think that it's really interesting to see the opposite of the behaviors that we usually do. And also, I think there is a little justice in this because I think the officers figured out what was going on before she even did. So, watch with an open mind, hold your emotions, and let's dive in. >> On February 5th, 2024, officers responded to a bank regarding a potential fraud. Hello. >> Hi. >> Doing okay today? >> Yeah. >> Okay, >> dude. I'm biased cuz she's so cute. Okay, >> so I'm also hearing GPD. >> Mhm. >> Reason why I'm here is cuz we get called about potentially you with some fraud doing some fraud doing charges or trying to withdraw fraudulent money from somebody's account. >> Mhm. >> All right. >> Yeah. >> Why is that? >> I don't know, but we're here to investigate and everything like that and so >> Okay. for what happened. >> Okay. So, so what happened was for the the account that the funds that um was trying to get withdrawn out of they were fraudulently like someone hacked into their information and they were fraudulently transferred over to it. And then she was I guess I'm not sure if she was one or someone sent her here. She was here to withdraw the money from the account that were fraudulently uh frauded. the the members who we actually contacted and they said they didn't do this transfer at all. They're heading to the Stark branch now to to get their account straightened away because all like they moved money from the members online banking. I'm not sure exactly how it was. >> When did that occur? >> That happened today. >> Like how long before she came in? Any idea? >> Um it was like 40 minutes. >> Okay. >> So, and it looked like they transferred all the funds the member had from the credit card to the checkin. All they had to check account. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> How much was it? >> 2,500. >> Count holders information from Stark or whoever that customer is. Right. >> If you get his 43 as well. >> Okay. How are you today? >> So, I'm guessing you kind of heard a little bit of the conversation there as to why we're here. Mhm. >> Okay. Um, do you mind if I see your ID real quick? >> Move this out for a second. >> Seems like you guys get hit all the time. >> Just kidding. >> We do a pretty good job at catching it though. >> Okay, Justice, here's the deal. Well, what the bank is what the bank is coming up with is they're that they have some some concerns about some funds that you came in to withdraw today. >> Okay. From your account. Correct. And what their what their fear is or what they're starting to figure out is is somehow another those funds were transferred from one bank member's account into your account. >> Okay. >> She literally has I don't think she has any idea. >> I want to ask you some questions in regard to this. All right. But before I do that, I do have to advise you of your Miranda rights. Okay. Just letting you know that you are detained. You're not free to leave. Okay. Not under arrest, but you are detained while we conduct the investigation. Okay. >> Can we take it outside in the car? >> Like the police car? >> Mhm. Why is it you want to do that? >> I don't want to be in public. So, >> huh? >> I don't want to be in public. [clears throat] >> You don't want to be in public? >> Yeah. This is a little embarrassing. >> Okay. What's that? >> So, normally I haven't seen the body cams at all. If you are watching this channel, every time I go into one, as you can probably tell if you watch a couple videos, I have no idea what's going on. But this one in particular, I saw about a minute and a half of what we're about to get to on TikTok and then I went to look for this body cam. So, just to give you a little bit of context, she has gone into this bank to withdraw money, but when they looked at the account, it looked like there was some type of account report that said the account had been hacked into. So, she sat down and was like, "Hi, I would like to withdraw this money." And the bank sees a flag on the account. So, they call the police and they explain to the police what's going on. And it seems like she doesn't really understand what's going on. So, in just a minute, she's gonna tell her side of the story. >> I said, "Yes, this is a little embarrassing." >> Okay. All right. We'll wait till he >> like I don't know why it's doing that. >> Okay. Can I just get some information from you at first? Where are you currently living at? >> Um I'm homeless. >> You're homeless currently? >> How long have you been homeless? >> Um since like December, 3 days after Christmas. >> So, the end of December. >> Yeah. So, they did both of these transfers and then they transferred 1206 once it was in there into Justice's account and then she was here within 30 minutes. >> All right. How did you come here today? >> Um, my god sister brought me. >> What's that? >> My friend brought me. >> Okay. They outside? >> Uh, they should be. Yeah. >> Okay. And who which friend is that? >> Her name is um Sharia. >> How do you spell that? S H A R I Y A H. I'm not. >> And what's her last name? >> Uh Reynolds. >> Reynolds. >> R E Y O N L Y [laughter] S. I want to see. >> Okay. Probably spelled like mine. >> Spell it. >> Okay. Mine's Reynolds as well. So R E Y N O L Ds. How old is she? >> Come on, buddy. >> How old is she? >> Uh 18. >> Where does she live at? Tampa, Florida. >> She's >> It's like a a outskirts town in Tampa, Florida. I'm not sure. >> Okay. Is she just in town for the day or >> She's in town for like 2 weeks. >> Okay. When did she get here? >> Um 2 days ago. >> Okay. >> Where's she staying while she's in town? >> In an Airbnb. >> And when we've seen all of their money gone and I look at the history and don't see them doing transfers or anything like that. >> Contact number for them. >> Yes. All right. >> Yeah, we can walk out to my car. Okay. >> When the officer comes back, let let him know that we're out of my vehicle. >> Absolutely. >> I'm going to hold on to your arm cuz you're not in the cuff. So, thank >> So, it's just like we just call them. Hey, Mr. and Mrs. member. We see that right now at this point this time we have a member here trying to do a large withdrawal or do a large transaction and we noticed that you don't usually do transfers of this size. We just wanted to verify that this was you that did this transfer and she said >> no she it sound like she just works. She's like no I don't I I didn't do any or authorize any transfer into that account. >> All right. Have a seat for me. >> Okay. Like I said, I do I do need to ask you some questions. But before I ask you those questions, I do have to advise you of your rights. Okay. >> I don't know. Let's >> You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be held against you in a court of law >> from the online banking on her account. >> Okay. >> Okay. Yeah. And we'll give you guys port number and everything like that. So y'all have it. >> So you understand these rights? >> Mhm. >> Having those rights in mind, are you willing to answer some questions for me? >> Mhm. Okay. All right. So, like I said, what um what we're being told is >> Okay. Look, I'll tell you what, guys. If I'm wrong and she ends up being a super villain, I'll give 20 subs. But she can't just be a mini villain. She has to be a super villain. All right. But we'll find out cuz I don't know how the video ends. >> No. Well, like I said, what um what we're being told is is that they're um >> fraudulent. >> There are some funds that were placed into your account. >> Mhm. >> That you have now come up here today to withdraw. >> Yeah. >> Is that correct? >> Yes. >> Okay. And and where whose funds are those? >> My friend I'm homeless at the moment. So, um I don't really have money for anything. And um the only person that send me money is my dad. and my friend had was like she could send me a little bit of money, which that was a little bit of money that um she could give me to be able to like get up on my feet a little bit. >> Which friend are you talking about? >> Shariah. >> The one from Tampa. >> How do you know her? >> I know her from like um I used to live in St. Petersburg and when I was a kid and we just used to play together as kids and we just friends on social media basically. >> Okay. And >> where have you seen her vehicle? Where where where did she drop you? >> Oh, it looks like she's being taken advantage of. If you guys are going to squeeze 20 subs out of me, she better be a real bad guy. Also, she's homeless. Okay, don't forget that. Remember, if you guys call her a super villain at the end, >> if you see her vehicle, where where did she drop you off at? >> Well, they were parked like um in Publix's parking lot. >> Why' they park all the way over there? >> She was parked I don't know. I mean Oh, they went inside of Publix, I think. >> Okay. How long ago was that? um when I had got here. >> So about 30 minutes ago then? >> Yeah, I've been in No, I have >> They tried to call you or anything since you >> like I didn't I left my phone inside of the car. That's what I've been saying the whole time. I thought it would take faster inside of there. When I went to um went to the front thing, this is like my second time here. I'm only 18, so I don't really know how to do this for real. But when I went to the front um thing, I thought that it would be like faster there. Um, but the lady at the front told me that I had to go there and I was going to go to get my phone, but then they said um to hold on to seconds. >> Okay. >> And when did she open her account? >> Um, it is a newer account, but it's not like a a brand new account. Any anyone starting with like 57 is like a newer account. >> Her account open date was July 14, 2020. It's >> been six, seven months. >> Yes. What kind of car are they in? >> Uh, yellow. Um, I don't know what kind of car it is. I just know it's yellow. It's like a foreign car. >> Yellow like a yellow car. >> Mhm. >> Like not a beige, but a yellow car. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> Charlie Ford Alpha 4. >> Go ahead. >> Hey, Priscilla, I'm going to have you out in a second. Okay. >> Okay. I've got her out here in my car because she wanted to come out of the lobby. Um, she's saying that the people that dropped her off here are just go to three. >> So, I'm so scared. >> She said they parked over in the public. >> Can y'all see that >> to come out of the lobby? Um, she's saying that the people that dropped her off here are just go to three. >> Why every single f Oh, it's cuz it's an Eagles fan. That's why. Yeah, I'd be terrified, too. So [laughter] they they >> she said they parked over in the public's parking lot. She's describing the female as a friend of hers. >> Are you able to you got enough information on your end for the second to go over there and just check the public's parking lot? I doubt the vehicle's still here cuz I'm not sure from where I'm standing, but they supposed to be a white a black female and a white male in it. >> All right, I'm going to go see cuz apparently she got dropped off by somebody. Let me see if I can't find the vehicle. That's usually how it works when they have like most of the time it's the mules and if they take too long to come out there they just leave. >> All right. >> I know like um that somebody has to get in trouble for it, but I know it's going to be me, but like I didn't um never know. >> You didn't what? >> Well, I mean you have a thought going there and I want to know. I mean I can tell this is obviously upsetting you. So, >> cuz I didn't know that this what they were doing, >> girl. >> Well, then that's the part that kind of confuses me. So, there wasn't >> You weren't supposed to give them any of the money once you got it out or anything like that? >> No, she just told me that she was going to help me. >> Did she tell you how much money she moved over? >> No, she just said, "I'm going to help you. I'm going to give you some money to get back on your feet. You're going to be able to get your hair stuff. You're going to be able to get everything, some food and stuff. >> I'll drive around. See if they >> She wanted to be a hair stylist so that she could do people's hair and she needed supplies and food. >> Parked around somewhere real quick. >> And what [snorts] were what was so what was the thought on was she just giving you the money? me. What was the >> Yeah, I mean I do her hair for free sometimes. I do a lot of people hair for free because I'm still a beginner and um I need pictures and stuff for like clientele, more clientele for when I did want to get serious, but I don't have the products and stuff to be able to do it. So, I only do people here who like have the products and stuff to do it. So, like that's why I do it for free and I do her hair for free sometimes. So, I feel like that's probably why she just wanted to to help, you know, like she has everything that she wants and stuff like that. She already started her career and stuff like in nursing. So, she probably just wanted to help. That's what that's what I figured. >> Charlie for >> and like we've been friends since we were kids. Like I mean I'm a giving person so I will help too. >> Okay, >> dude. This is what I mean. This and that's why I wanted to watch this one. just I could be tripping, but her behavior is so starkly different than any behavior that we watch on this stream or this channel because usually people are lying. Okay? Like I wanted to watch this one because I personally, I don't know about you guys, always take what I say with a grain of salt. I think she's telling the truth and it's not just the tears, it's like the authenticity behind there's something that just feels very authentic and um I think that seeing that contrast between what we usually see is really important. >> Is there any um what was the guy's involvement in any of this? >> That's just her boyfriend. He was just driving. I don't think she to be honest I don't think she knows how to drive. >> Okay. >> Wait, why is she in the road like that? >> [laughter] >> What was that? >> Did she show you on the phone while she was transferring money or anything like that? >> It wasn't you that transferred the money? >> No. >> No. >> Also, just as a note, um, some people in Tik Tok did some digging and I think that she ended up getting a little bit of support. Um, just just to just to raise your vibes a little bit through this. Okay. This body cam was a while ago. >> Just been I was just sitting in the room. I was just waiting for her to do it and tell me that um they were ready to go to the thing. >> When was it she told you she would loan you the money? >> Um the two days before she had came, she just said um when I was like expressing myself to her cuz when she was telling me that she was going to come down here, I said, "Oh yeah, we should hang out." And stuff like that. >> Okay. Y that's the part that messes me up. So if you're just to put it all together for you, here's what I think happened. her quote godsister or good friend or person she's known for a while has been like hey cuz you always do my hair for me for free. I'm going to help you out. Um I just need you to do this little favor for me and go to this bank and get this money out for me and then I'm going to give you some of the money so you can have some food and you can have some stuff to start your hair business. And my understanding is that this girl said, "Okay, yeah, that makes sense because I have done your hair for free for so many times. you're going to be nice and help me out and that also you're kind of like family to me. You're kind of all I have. So, I'm going to trust you cuz I don't have much else I can trust. But it seems like this girl and her boyfriend were actually uh basically like getting into people's bank accounts online and transferring money around and then they needed a person to go into the branch and withdraw the money and give them the cash. So, she was basically set up as the body for a scam. And the reality of the situation is people do this a lot to people that they know. Like, it is hard to find some random person. I heard this story the other day about how um somebody set up a fake job um escorting this elderly woman around and it was really kind of like a trafficking job in a sense like hidden underneath it and that's how they found a random person online. But most of the time, scammers when they need a body to go inside to go get, you know, the money out of the bank that they just stole. Yeah. They going to send somebody that they know that is down on their luck and trusts them. And that is the really unfortunate thing. And that's what I think happened here. >> Yeah, we should hang out and stuff like that. >> Okay. And also the part that really [ __ ] me up is that she is telling the officers that her gods said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm gonna help you out. Go do this favor for me." And also, we should hang out more. Girl, going to come down here. I said, "Oh, yeah. We should hang out or stuff like that." >> Okay. Any drugs hang out, too? >> No, not really. I mean, I never really like broke down and been to her. I mean, I'm going through a lot right now, so like I just actually like started breaking down. >> Okay. Do you happen to know her phone number? >> Said she didn't. >> Her phone is in the girl's car and she don't have no money. >> 9 I want to say 9004 >> 9 I think it's 9:04. I know it's 9 9 something. >> Excuse me. >> She said she lives in the Tampa area. Let me go and have you step out. All right. >> I think they set her up. >> No, [screaming] baby. Don't cry. >> Do you got for what? For the um handcuffs. >> Yeah. Forward. Step out for me. Want to put your hands behind your back. >> Guys, I don't think she knew. Do you guys think she knew? Now, as a reminder, like I said, I did my digging. It seems like people online wanted to help when this circulated. This video was pretty popular on Tik Tok, so just know the internet can be good sometimes. But yo, [ __ ] her friend. I don't >> I'm waiting. >> No, I was just kidding. >> You are under arrest. Okay, >> stop. I don't want to. >> Narcotonics of any kind, any weapons of >> I just skip through a little bit of it. >> Anything else on your personal? Okay. All right. Go ahead and have a seat. We have a few. >> Wait. She was charged with grand theft and scheme to defraud AND OBTAIN PROPERTY. NO, I don't have her name or anything from this and I don't have any particular updates. But let me say this. Even though we don't have any solid information about how this court case laid out. I don't have her name obviously. Also, we don't want to publicize that information. I want you to have a little hope that if you've seen a lot of those sentencing videos, a lot of times the judge will say, "No, you got caught up in some [ __ ] up [ __ ] I'mma let you go." And you know what? I bet you that girl got her hair products. I bet she did. Also, also, I will say too, just as a general disclaimer, like, you know, we can't always just infantilize people because they seem really sweet, but like she just girl and we don't know people, bro. Who in chat said that she was not the that she was a bad guy at the end?
