I'm literally just trying to board my flight and go to sleep because I'm about to fly almost 2,000 miles. Wait, is he saying that he told the lady behind the counter at United that he was going to her up? I'm just like picturing this dude with one headphone in saying like, "I will you up." That's crazy. No, get out. I'm over here. Come over here and talk to talk to him. her up. I don't even know her. What's your name, man? I don't even know her. Why would I her up? What's your name? I'm sorry. Based on this woman's facial expression right there, I do believe that you said that you were going to her up. I believe it. We want to talk to you, man. That's why we got called out. Okay. Yes, sir. Take a step back. Take a step back. Take a step back from me. And what's your name, sir? I'm I'm Bryce E. Smith. I don't give a damn about her. Okay. I really don't. >> Okay. So I just want to get I don't even know her her This is exactly like when a guy in front of a grocery store hits on you straight up and you reject them and then he goes, "I don't even like you. Why would I even do that?" Like he literally threatened this woman >> [laughter] >> and then when it backfires on him, he's like, "That didn't happen. I don't even like you. Why would I threaten to I don't even I don't even think you're hot. I don't even know her. You're ugly anyway." Yeah, dude, it's literally that. And I'm sorry, just going back to her facial expression, you did that. Get the taser. Name from Sam and Sam. I don't care. >> You don't have any weapons or anything like that on you, do you? No, I don't. >> Go and turn around. Let me frisk you real quick. Make sure you don't have any weapons. I need to know more about the flight details cuz that's crazy. I don't have anything. How would you How are you Okay. I'm sorry. Where are you flying to? To Maine. Where? Right here. Uh what Where did I put my bags? Well, well, where are your bags? Over here close to you. Let's talk over here. Here's the deal. What's your name? I don't know what to call him. What's What's your name? Uh my name is Bryce. But I go by I I go by >> got a question. What airport are we in? That's just a little fun one for me cuz like you know you know how like if you live in this Like you know your airport, right? DFW? Is it Florida? LaGuardia? Oh, wait. Oh, is it LaGuardia? Wait, you guys are just guessing. Somebody knows. Somebody in the comments knows. Brooks. Brooks probably. What's What's your name? Uh my name is Bryce, but I go by I I go by Brooks. Brooks. Okay. So, Brooks, here's the deal. United We'll shake hands when everything's settled I don't I don't know if you were trying to or not. Oh, no, no. So, United has denied your flight today. Yeah, I didn't I don't care. Well, here's the deal. Um You said you're flying to Maine. What What part of Maine are you flying to? I live I live in Old Town. I live in northern Maine. Are you Are you on funding this ticket? He start He started off with this young lady back here. He was upset with her because he kept telling him he didn't have a flight with United. So, he gave her her phone, had his phone. She pulls up the reservation. Reservation is for the 28th. So, as she's telling him that, he's like, "No, you got to put So, 2 days later, this is the reservation for the February. It is It is March the 1st. her phone. She pulls up the reservation. Reservation is for the 28th. Okay, Bryce. What What did you say? So, him that, he's like, "No, you got to put me on a plane today." And so, she calls me and says, "I think I got a red light." So, she comes over and then when I walk over there, then he goes, "I'm not a red light. I'm not intoxicated. Why would you say Oh, he knew what that was? I'm like, "Yeah, I'm like, how do you know I'm like, how do you know what a red light is?" Damn, we didn't even know what a red light was. Oh my god, but guess who knows what a red light is? We do now, chat. We know what a red light is. They going to change that word, but we know now. We know. I'm like, I'm like, how do you know I'm like, how do you know what a red light is? Damn, we didn't even know what a red light was. We're like, "What is it What is it >> [laughter] >> So, you know what you want, right? That's what I thought to myself. So, then I said, "Well, you know what a red light is." And he's like, "I don't talk to her. She She just needs to go away." I said, "I'm probably going to go over here over there. Right, I got it." So, I start talking to him. And then I asked him for the She was asking for the reservation and he kept saying, "I don't have it." I'm like, "So, you just showed her something on your phone. That's how she knows what day it is." So, he gives me the phones and then I pull up the reservation. So, I explained to him like, "Your flight was 2 days ago." He was like, "Oh, it's for my wife." He showed up for that flight and got denied. It said no value, so that means he didn't show up. He just told me he said So, when I said to him, "Well, you know, now you're going to have to buy a whole new ticket cuz you're 2 days late. It's not a flat tire rule anymore." And so, then he was like, "Well, my company will have to pay for it. How much is it?" And I said, "I don't know." So, I went online to pull it up. And then he started going at her again. She said da da da da da. Okay, at this point, you disrespected my employees. You can take your phone and you can buy it online. Have a He walked on the side of my counter and started No, I'm loving this. Look, y'all be like, "I'm watching body cams with Bose. What you watching?" Wildlife and airport body cam. >> [laughter] >> I'm just noticing you. I don't know. I don't know what's going on. You can buy it online. Have a great day. He walked on the side of my counter and started saying, "You going to make me hurt you." Oh. So, I'm like, Oh, hell no. I didn't deal with this, bro. So, I said, "Sir, I'm going to call the police. I'm asking you to please walk away from my counter at this time. I'm refusing service. You can walk away." Got you. He continued to keep going, so I picked up the phone and I called. And then he continued with his little rant. Got you. And then he started coming around the counter again and I said, "Sir, I asked you three times to stay on that side. I want you to know that I'm not scared, but I need you to stay on that side." I know from my facial expression And then he was looking at the guy that was standing next to him was like, "What is going on? What's happening?" And then you guys showed up. So, I was like, "He showed up." He was kind of in his face a little bit, too. Yeah, we saw that. I just want him to get out of here and we can find We'll deal with it. trash bags. You know, making threats of physical violence towards other people is a crime, right? And you can go to jail for that. I I understand. They're not wanting to press charges right now. But you've actually committed a crime that you could go to jail for. No. No, what I'm saying is You need to You need to listen. Like I I understand. I'm listening to what you're saying. But Ew. I left everybody alone. You You I don't know their names. You didn't. Just cuz you don't know who they are doesn't invalidate the fact that you threatened to physically harm them in order to get something that you wanted um that you up on. It's just crazy to me. He messes something up, then he doesn't want to take accountability on it, so he goes and threatens people to get what he wants so that he doesn't have to take accountability. It's just so Yeah. I can't accept I don't bother anybody. All I can tell you is what they told me and I have multiple people telling me the same thing. Oh. So Guys, look, it's right here. We're in Australia. I'm just kidding, girl, it's Austin. So, I guess we're in Austin, Texas and he is headed over to Maine. Right now, we're trying to figure things out for you. But at this point, with you being intoxicated, listen. I'm listening. Just listen. You're not going to fly with any airline today the way you are. I guarantee you that. That's based on my experience. Experience. Man said experience. You've had too much to drink. My recommendation truly is to try to catch a flight tomorrow, have no drinks, come back sober tomorrow, and try it all again. And then you're going to get home. But I guarantee you the way you've acted today, no airline's going to let you fly. That's just the reality. What's your name? Pat Nelson, right here. So, I can address him properly. Okay. I appreciate that. Okay. Okay, your mom is coming to get you. We still have 9 minutes left. Are we going home with officers today or are we going home with mom, who is apparently coming to get They have said they're not pressing charges. This is the lightest thing that you could get after physically threatening airport staff. This is what we would call a get out of jail free card. Let's see where we go. Your mom is coming to get you. She's on her way. So, what we're going to do is we're going to take you downstairs. We'll just sit in the chair. She's She's going to Once she picks you up, she's going to find other flights and have you fly out. She told me about the tragedy about losing your dog. Look Look Look The important thing right now is to get you where you're not stumbling around or you know stumbling to get you where you can pass the TSA checkpoints cuz they're more stringent on checking people than the ticket counters here. Okay. So, your mom agreed that's the best decision to make. Okay? What did you all talk about? Just talked about solutions for you. And the solution we came up with is her coming from Round Rock to come pick you up right now. Mom's coming to get you. Let's Okay? So, let's go downstairs. We'll bring your stuff downstairs. I'll grab the bag. pick you up. You guys will go back to your house and you Listen Look Look Look Look at me. I'm over here. Once she picks you up Once she picks you up, you guys are going to find other flights, okay? And we'll get you She'll get you booked on another flight. crazy that he went from saying I will you up to a woman that was just trying to help him behind the counter to now he looks like he's about to cry. But you know what? A lot of times these videos I really be rooting for these people. Like, please don't make it worse here. We can go home right now. I thought I would have gotten you out of here already. I hate all of you. I hate all of you. Wait Wait Wait Wait Wait. Wait. >> you guys are going to find other flights, okay? And we'll get you She'll get you booked on another flight. I thought I would have gotten you out of I hate all of you. You hate all of us? No, I mean I love all of y'all, but I hate all of you. Oh. Sorry Sorry you feel that way, but we're just trying to help you out, man. I have contempt for you. All right. Well, I appreciate it. Let's make our way downstairs. I'll grab your bag Let's go. and get you taken care of your mom here, all that good stuff. You know, get on a flight a different day. Just not today. And that might be for the best. Sounds like you've gone through a lot. All right? They're being so nice to him. This is his. Those are the unattended >> They're being so nice. Please If you want to follow Officer Kidd, we'll head downstairs. I'll grab your bag for you, okay? Officer Kidd right there. Just follow him. We'll show you the way. Dude, where am I life or cause this? I'm sorry? What caused this? Well, if you want to be completely honest, what caused this is you drinking. Who Who Who said I was drinking? Oh my god. Here we go. Hey Hey, look. Sometimes when you're too nice to people, they'll lay low for a second and like a gopher, man, they will pop up at at an opportunity to seize power. When in reality, they don't have power here. You are choosing to be nice to them. And that is exactly what he's doing. When he's like, you know, suddenly being like a little a little boy and looking like he's about to cry, he he hasn't really fully disengaged. He's still looking for an opportunity to pop back up. And the way that he's trying to do it is by saying, "I hate you." It's very childlike. And then the other thing is here and I talk about this all the time in my videos. When we as adults notice these childlike behaviors in dire situations in our lives where we should be behaving like an adult, it's an opportunity to look at it and figure out, "God, what is wrong with what happened early in my life? What is wrong now? Why am I processing things this way?" Like, it's not a get out of jail free card for like, "Oh, you know, he was sad when he was a boy." Girl, you know how many people were sad when they were a boy? These little things in life give us an opportunity to look at things that happened to us in the past and you know, make a change for the better. I'm sure there have been multiple times in his life when he realized that when he gets called out for his bad behavior like threatening women, his response is to be like, "I hate you." Oh, sorry, buddy. What happened when you were six? You need to go to a therapist and figure it out cuz you're an adult now. Your mental health is your responsibility. At what point is your trauma your responsibility? Dude, if I had to put a age on that, girl, about 23 around 23, 24, 25. I need you to start trying to get it together, okay? That's That's my general rule. Get it Get it together. said I was drinking. No one had to tell you you were drinking. I could tell you were drinking. What What do you mean by that? I'm I'm not going to debate the level of intoxication. There we go. If you want me to debate it with you, you can debate it in the back of my police car. We I'm I'm not letting you litigate your behavior right here. You're not going to get to debate it. No, I'm cutting you a break. No, I just I just want to talk. I'm not going to You know that you're drunk. I don't have to explain to you I'm sure they have. You're stumbling around. Your words are slurred. Can't see Can't No, that's that's not what I want. I'm not I'm not I'm not trying to talk down to you. I'm trying to help you, actually. Grab onto the railing so you don't fall and lose your balance. What I'm asking is what What led you to think that? Well, let me to Hey, here are your choices. Here are your choices. Give me That right there also was him being a little boy and being, you know, disobedient. He said, "Hey, stand here and hold onto the rail." He didn't hold onto the rail. He didn't stand there. He walked and he walked ahead of the officer and he made sure that he knows, "I'm not listening to you." So, he's in little boy mode right now. He's in 7-year-old mode. And if you are an adult man and you start acting like a 7-year-old randomly, you don't want that for yourself. You do not want that for yourself, okay? It's like Imagine the the how old you were like when you got like super traumatized, okay? Like whatever is like frozen in your brain, right? Like imagine yourself as like, you know, 6 7 8 9 10 years old or whatever, okay? Now, imagine that 10-year-old version of yourself that's like in your brain driving everything and controlling it. When you don't handle your trauma, your 10-year-old self takes a captain seat in your brain and it starts to control everything. And when you're 20 years old or 30 years old or 40 years old, people can see this and it looks really bad. You got to fire the kid in the captain seat. Like think about it. How many times has something happened to you and then suddenly your 8-year-old brain took over? It's not a good look and you can fix this. Anyhow, that's what's happening to him. Hey, here are your choices. Here are your choices. Give me a You want to sit in the chair over here or do you want to sit outside? Choice is yours. Don't treat me like a dog. You talk to me like that again, you I will take your ass to jail. Listen to what I'm telling you. Take me to jail. I don't Okay. I don't care either. No. Okay. >> Wait. Guys, you gave him so many chances. We've given him plenty of chances, dude. This is goofy. Okay. Well, Good. I know, but you we were asking you to listen, okay? I am listening. No. No. No. No. No. No, you're going to jail. Okay. You're making me upset. Take a deep breath. Take a deep breath. That part's what makes me upset. That part's what makes me You're literally making me upset. All I wanted to do was just stand here. I didn't use foul language to you at all. Did I? No, sir. >> to your mother. I found a way for you to go home safe. I understand that you lost your dog, okay? I sympathize with you on that. We're trying to cut you a break. The last thing I need from you is to use foul language towards me when I'm trying to help you out. You don't Listen. Listen. And just like And they did mention earlier that he had lost his He lost his pet. And just like the officer is doing, they have taken that into consideration. They have given him lots of grace, but your grace should have boundaries. Nobody should be able to walk all over you just because they've been through something that you have empathy for. You have to still have boundaries. If you have high empathy and zero boundaries, you are stupid, okay? I'm telling you this because it's something that I wish somebody had told me a long time ago. And I'm going to say it one more time. If you have high empathy and zero boundaries, you are stupid and people will walk all over you like a little piece of wood, okay? I've been through it. I've been there. Listen to what I'm trying to help you out. You don't Listen. Look at me. Look at me. You understand what I'm telling you right now? Yes, sir. Then why would you do that to me? That's not personal at all. It's not personal. I just You're responsible for everything you say and do. Yes, sir. I understand. I'm I'm just taking the consequences for it. I just I don't know how to feel. I was supposed to fly out to my house. 2 days ago. You're taking it out on everyone. Putting the people at the ticket counter, like I said, you could have gone to jail for just wanting to sit up there. I understand. Yes, sir. Give me an idea on you. What's your idea? That's another thing, too. The officer pointed something out that I think is really important. He basically said just cuz you had a bad time doesn't mean that you need to take it out on everyone. If something horrible happens to you and you start to attack everyone in your life, uh-uh, we're not doing that okay? There are some people that only know how to live like in the external. They There's like nothing on the internal. They can't like sit inside. Everything they do has to be externalized. So, when his dog passes away, if he's an externalizer, everyone around him will suffer for it. Do you want to be in that situation? It's not about what happened to him or the grief or the passing. It's about how he processes emotions. And he has clearly displayed that he's not only an externalizer, but he is a violent externalizer. He threatens women that he doesn't know. And then when he's called out for it, he denies it. We can't baby sit people like this. Okay. If If put me in the jail, I'm going to be pretty mad. Do you think I care about how mad you're going to get? Whatever. I was in jail 21 years. Made a lot of people mad. Listen, here's here's what I'm going to do with you. I'm going to take you to a sobering center. It's not jail. You'll go to the sobering center. Your mom will pick you up from the sobering center. Please don't do that to my mom. Please. Okay, well I can take you to jail so she can pick you up from jail. Which one do you want? Once again, externalizing. There's nothing on the inside. It's not don't do that to me, it's don't do that to my mom. This guy is a full-on externalizer. And God, these these are nightmares to date, okay? You guys have met people like this, too. That nothing is ever going on in the internal. They they can't carry any guilt, they can't carry any accountability, they can't even carry their own pain. You have to carry their pain. You have to carry their accountability. You have to carry their guilt because they there is no nothing on the inside. >> Please don't do that to my mom. Please. Okay, well I can take you to jail so she can pick you up from jail. Which one do you want? Once I say you're not staying here anymore. I don't need to stay here. Okay. Have you ever seen an ID with this? No. He gave me a name. He told me Bryce E. Smith. Yes, sir. Yeah. No. Oh, you're not. Yeah. You're coming with us anymore. You're coming with us. Let me Let me Let me explain to You're ruining my life. Let me explain to you where where I'm taking you. You're ruining my life. Let me explain to you where I'm taking you where I'm taking I'm taking you to what's called a sobering center. It's not jail. >> I don't need that. I don't need that. >> get choices. I don't give you choices. I'm telling you what I'm going to do for you. You don't get to pick my life. >> Okay, jail we go. This is going to be jail. You don't get to pick my life. I'm the only one who pays my bills. Good. You can pay your bills when you get out of jail. No. Stop. Don't Don't Don't add a resisting charge. Don't add a resisting charge. Please don't. What What is he saying? Just walk to the front of the car. Walk Walk to the front of the police car. That's it. You can wait right here. No, why are you I've been trying to be nothing but nice to you. What do What What do What exactly are you saying? Call your mother at the sobering center. Give her the address and have her pick you up from there. That's what I was going to do for you. Cop tried so hard. >> just calm down? Okay. That's what I was going to do for you. Any of you guys are feeling like, "Oh my God, I feel bad for him. He's having a bad day. He you know, he lost his pet." We don't know how long ago that was, when it happened, or whatever. The cop is giving that grace for you. I would say this is a level 10 of second chances and grace that they're giving him. Your mom's Your mom's going to pick you up at a different location. She's going to drive you to her house. They're going to She's going to schedule you another flight. You come back and fly out. No criminal charges. No criminal charges. That's what I'm doing for you right now. Okay. Just Just relax. Yeah, I'm just I'm I got to take stuff out of your pockets because when I put people in the back of my car, I got to make sure they don't have any weapons on them. Where Where Where am I I'm taking you to the sobering center. It's not jail. The what? The sobering center. Okay. Okay? That's it. When we get there, I'll call your mom, tell her the address, she'll pick you up from there. Is that okay? You have to cooperate with them. If you act the way that you're acting with us, they will not take you there. Yeah. You got to just relax. I'm I'm I'm just confused because Because I I I I I'm I'm I'm No, it's not that I've been drinking. It's just I I'm confused of where where where am I going? Okay, I was going to leave you here. Initially, I was going to leave you here. You cursed at me. I didn't like that. So, I said, "Okay, I'm not going to leave you here. If you're cursing at me, you'll be cursing anybody else in here." I'm going to take you someplace else off site. Now, depending on how you act when I'm transporting you to that place, if you start cursing at me again or acting bizarre in the back seat of my car, I'm going to take you to jail. And there they're going to keep you for anywhere between 8 to 12 hours. Sobering center, they'll keep you till your mom comes to pick you up. That's it. All right. We're just going to make sure that we're checking the handcuffs right now to make sure that they're that they're good and properly, okay? I I'm not going to lie. I'm actually pretty annoyed with how much grace they're giving him. Like Like it's a little too much for me. Like let's get Put him in the car. I'm I'm over it. And actually, y'all usually come at me for being too empathetic in videos. This is like, "Now I'm done. Go." You're treating me like No, that is what we do with everybody, man. Go. So, I sit here. Okay. You know that I have not Yeah, I'll come I'll come You can sit in the You can sit in the chair. I have not Best way is to kind of face us and sit down. That's the easiest way. Okay. Just face me. Try to turn towards me this way. The other way. This way. And then kind of just sit down. We'll make sure you you don't fall or anything, okay? Take these handcuffs off of me. >> We can't. No. Swing your feet in. Swing your feet in. They'll get them off when you get to the sobering center. I'm not a criminal. Right now you are. That's why we want to take you to the sobering center. Where there's medical professionals taking care of you. That's it. It's not jail. Okay, then why do I need to be like this? Because everybody goes in the back seat of a police car like that, okay? That's our policy. We have to do that. Why are you doing this to me? Come on. Why are you doing this to me? The line of externalizers. Not I have done this and I am the reason I'm in this situation. It's why are you doing this to me? I've done nothing. Watch your back. No. Please. Watch your back. No. They get loose on this side. They're cutting into my wrists. >> They're not cutting into your wrists. they're not. Yes, they are. I'm not I'm not tak- I'm not loosening them. Let's go. What? Stop. I My Let's go. You're going to have in my Come on. Get. Go. Get. Where is your mama? Go. Go home. >> [laughter] >> I can't do it. Best way is to kind of face us and sit down.
