simple investigation into a very violent encounter welcome back to the body cam Zone on November 26 2022 a La Crosse police officer saw a vehicle speeding at 42 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone so he initiated a stop the dispatcher later told the officer that the driver Shayla Jordan had an active warrant during interrogation Jordan was very impatient at one point she confronted the drive a vehicle at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the conditions and having regard for the actual and potential hazards than existing she also disobeyed the order to stay in her vehicle that violated section 346.04 which states no person shall fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order signal or direction of a traffic officer more officers arrived at the scene when Jordan was told she had an active warrant for her arrest she resisted the arrest and speedily drove away damaging some cars in the process she was traced to her mother's house and arrested all right so violated multiple Wisconsin statutes first she resisted being arrested a violation of section 946.41 that states whoever knowingly resists or obstructs an officer while such officer is doing any act in an official capacity and with lawful Authority is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor fleeing from the traffic stop was a further violation of subsection 3 of section 346.04 which prohibits knowingly fleeing any officer so as to interfere with or endanger the operation of the traffic officer she also damaged other people's Vehicles a violation of section 943.01 that states whoever intentionally causes damage to any physical property of another without the person's consent is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor she also exhibited disorderly conduct while in custody that violated section 947.01 she was eventually given three misdemeanor charges that included disorderly conduct bail jumping and resisting or obstructing an officer she also got one felony charge of vehicle fleeing or eluding an officer she was released on a thousand dollar signature Bond
