this lady got drunk and started driving through a construction site this lady couldn't recite the English alphabet during a DWI stop welcome back to the body cam Zone on September 21st 2022 sergeant sutley of the Fayetteville Police Department saw a vehicle driving through a construction site whose Road had been blocked off the officer suspected the driver couldn't be in the right State of Mind to be driving through the site so he conducted a traffic stop during interrogation the officer suspected the driver Ava was drunk he conducted field sobriety tests on her and she failed so Ava was six eight okay but uh um got it okay in another video shared on drive-through tours officer berahiko of the Lambertville Police Department saw a vehicle with an expired registration the driver later identified as Jessica bows was also driving carelessly so the officer initiated a stop upon approach he smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage from the vehicle he also saw an open bottle of vodka in the center console area the reason why I'm stopping at the registration on the vehicle is expired oh it should not fit how much have you had to drink tonight very little oh it's about how Little Wonder would you have to drink um had a glass of wine odor bloodshot watery eyes I've been drinking open container bows violated multiple New Jersey statutes the first is section 39 subsection 3 through 4 which states every resident of this state and every non-resident whose automobile or motorcycle shall be driven in this state shall before using the vehicle on the public highways register the same and an automobile or motorcycle shall not be driven unless so registered she also violated section 39 subsection 4 through 97 which states a person who drives a vehicle carelessly or without due caution or circumspection in a manner so as to endanger or be likely to endanger a person or property shall be guilty of careless driving Bose also had an open bottle of alcohol beside her while driving a violation of section 39 subsection 4 to 51 B which prohibits having an open unsealed alcoholic beverage container or cannabis item in motor vehicle the officer sought Bao's consent for field sobriety tests and she agreed unsurprisingly she failed the tests and was arrested for DWI all right you might stepping out of the car for me I totally don't mind I come on back Stan who's right it one more shot yes yeah all right you want to move on to the next test yes all right I'm sorry so for no problem my ears are so congested okay when I tell you do so I want you to take nine hit or toe steps forward once you're on your nightstep I want you to take a series of small steps and just pivot and turn around and take nine Heel To Toe steps back nine front nine to back counting each step out loud so it's going to look like this ready one two three okay and then turn and take one and back two three all the way up to nine okay all right you may be getting the test yep begin do nine turn nine back and you tell us when you're done one two three four five six seven eight nine nine I understand just keep going I haven't been pulled over in like 10 years oh God finish the test up nine pivot okay let me check your eyes real quick okay do you have a glass eye or fake eye you know it's usually something you don't have to think about no no because authorizing natural right they're realizing medical issues and I want to make sure I move out my medical issues okay what are they anything relating to your eyes nothing with my um I have glaucoma okay I have I have butter I mean all right you can see my finger right I can see your finger I can see your eyeballs okay well follow it until I tell you to stop okay you can blink as much as you need to okay how do you think you did on your series of tests to be honest with yourself knock right on the balance okay I have no balance okay um anything you did on the alphabet test a through z not great because I haven't had to recite my alphabets Elementary School no kids yeah teacher kids so I would be honest with you all right while standing here talking to you I could smell the alcohol pretty strongly on your prep right your tests not good what's gonna happen from here we'll explain it all to you okay we're gonna take you we have to give you the breathalyzer I'm gonna give you the option to prove whether you are you know at the police station bow is consented to a breath test her blood alcohol concentration came out as 0.13 percent she eventually got multiple charges including driving Under the Influence careless driving unregistered vehicle unlicensed driver and possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage Mao's inability to correctly recite the alphabet is not the most unexpected thing to happen during a DWI stop
