welcome back to the body cam Zone on April 29th 2021 Vernon County Sheriff's Office received calls from motorists about a vehicle traveling at high speeds shortly after an officer of the Valley police saw the vehicle drive past him at 106 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour Zone as a result he initiated a stop the driver was identified as Amanda mccague before we continue let me thank code blue Cam for sharing this video on their YouTube channel it's 146 call across he came into town 106 miles an hour and I'm a respawn at County B Ark never mind you pulled over 900 block 900 block Central or what I don't know your compliance is going to be getting out of the car I'm not going to get out of this car okay you are under arrest what for reckless endangerment that's a felony crime am I in ground 146 you can slow down back up for 10.95 hey officer whatever your name is you know raccoons are the smartest people [Music] he's like on my arm S search me go ahead we're doing everything to the team Amanda broke several Wisconsin statutes the first was section 346.57 which states no person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the conditions and having regard for the actual and potential hazards than existing she also disobeyed the lawful order to get out of her vehicle that was a violation of section 346.04 which states no person shall fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order signal or direction of a traffic officer more officers responded to the incident Amanda continued to resist the officers and argued with them so that your cuffs don't tighten up on you on the way down I'd like you step out of the to the jail which one Vernon County right yeah why because you're under arrest for felony offense um I need to I need to keep those handcuffs from from squeezing down on your wrists so I would like to check them for fit and lock them do you do it right the first time I did it right I just didn't get them [Music] okay well it's the law and it's gonna happen in my squad car okay Officer it's your choice yep how do I get out of your jail um that'll be up to the judge a judge Darcy rude or her commissioner little brother put your foot in yeah let me talk to my little brother um no why he's 23 years old and he can take care of himself you should be able to go ahead and put you he's probably really scared in this Valley Town he told me last time he was why would he be scared because it's Valley and he's a black guy um I'd be scared you just arrested me in front of him um go ahead and put your feet back in the car let me talk to him you're leaving him here by himself actually I'm not I'm calling a tow truck so he can go with the tour not why don't you just let me talk to him um can you get it on the way why are you telling my car there's no reason I told my car he can turn it on right now and drive it he can't drive yes he can no yeah he can not legally put your foot in the car let me talk to him let me I got it God she was eventually taken to the Vernon County Detention Center and got six charges including recklessly endangering safety attempting to flee an officer and resisting arrest in a court hearing on November 29 2022 three charges were dismissed including the felony reckless endangerment she was found guilty of restraining or failing to stop restricting or obstructing an officer and speeding she spent two months in jail and was ordered to pay a fine of 384 dollars well that's all concerning this video thanks for watching
