my way home okay around 3 for am on July
17
2023 officer Nicholas Grasso and officer
John dosberg with the Bridgewater Police
Department responded to a call of a
possibly impaired driver near the target
at 200 prominade Boulevard a Somerset
County dispatcher who was heading home
from work had advised police of a driver
of a white Subaru that had struck the
curb in the vicinity of fer Avenue while
continuing to drive erratically as
officer Grasso arrived on scene he
observed a woman attempting to change a
flat tire on a 2012 Subaru Impreza he
informed dispatch and proceeded to make
contact with the driver who was
identified as 27-year-old Daniel
grandparents live in Manville gotcha
where you coming from uh
Pennsylvania Pennsylvan yeah what you
doing out there anything good concert
concert gotta I was just on my way home
okay all right just so you don't have a
body cam okay yeah yeah that's you were
where did you come from by chance did
you drive which way did you come in
though uh I pulled in this way okay did
you Happ hit a curb maybe not that I
felt okay yeah not that I felt all right
so someone called and they said that you
driving they you had a curb and you were
driving in here that's why we're here so
they said that you were driving
all over the place so that's why I
wanted to make sure everything was all
right okay well no okay that's I'm just
asking that's why that's why I just
curious no I just well it's possible
because of the flat tire but okay I was
just pulling in here okay do you have
anything to drink
tonight any alcohol I mean like hours

okay as officer Grasso began to interact
with Dan yo he detected the odor of
alcohol and noticed other signs of imp
terment Danielle was asked where she had
been coming from and she claimed to be
coming from a concert in Bethlehem
Pennsylvania she also admitted to
consuming alcohol several hours earlier
but denied being under the influence at
the moment based on their suspicion of
impairment Danielle was offered an
opportunity to participate in field
sobriety
exercises if I just change this out it
should be F all right why don't you
leave that for a second I just want to
step over here just just leave that for

it I just want to make sure you're okay
to drive that's all okay all
right you said you drank a while ago you
said yeah probably about 4 hours ago
four hours ago okay and the concert was
in Bethlehem Bethlehem okay and then

drink like maybe 11:00 officer Grasso
started with the horizontal Gaye
nystagmus hgn test and he observed the
lack of smooth Pursuit distinct and
sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation
and the onset of nystagmus prior to
45° the second exercise was the walk and
turn test during the walk and turn test
Danielle did not touch Heel To Toe on
each step turned improperly and failed
to count in the proper sequence the
final exercise was the one leg stand
test and Danielle failed to raise her
foot in the proper fashion or count
aloud as instructed did Officer dosberg
administered the hgn test one more time
and he also observed for six indicators
of impairment 11:00 okay all I'm just
going to touch your eyes make sure
you're okay just just cuz we're here now

your feet together and your arms to your
side like this okay uh you wear glasses
you have like you I have contacts and I
also have um I had a head injury okay so
my eyesight's a little funky but so if I

arrest after she was placed under arrest
her vehicle was impounded for a 12-hour
hold according to John's law officer
Grasso transported Danielle to the
Bridgewater Police Department for
further processing at the station they
read her the standard statement for
motor vehicle operators and she agreed
to submit breath

adult after she signed the potential
sherlly warning on her behalf officer
Grasso issued Danielle a citation for
operating Under the Influence cour
records indicate that on October 17th
2023 Daniel pleaded not guilty to
operating Under the Influence and the
citation was dismissed in court here
where's CL it got towed as to get towed
that's part of that yeah um it got towed
to Somerset Hill she knows the deal I
explained it to her um if you want to
just I'll explain it to you she has to
come here first okay later today um
probably around
3:00 come right here tell her hey um I'm
here to get a release form we'll give
you the form and then you can go right
down to uh Somerset Hills um and they'll
