provide her ID which is clearly a lie as we can see from the security camera despite her attempts to calmly clarify and communicate he retorted that she doesn't get to tell me how to do my job when she tried to clarify again still calm he slammed the door in frustration her calm demeanor emphasized his irrational Behavior which angered him further how can the prosecutor not recognize this pattern in the officer's communication it's obvious to everyone else instead of worrying that this situation might lead people to think they don't have to comply the prosecutor should be far more concerned with the culture within their Police Department after all they are meant to serve the public not intimidated the community ask her to roll it down the rest of the way cracked it another half please refuse to do it uh want to give me her ID want to give me a registration so she was assisted out of the vehicle plac into custody resisting arrest and her to identify okay that's I mean honestly I know she's 18 that's probably my bad because instructed her that you roll the window down like that much absolutely you don't have to roll down all the way as long as you can get the ID out the problem is is when I can't hear because the traffic and the rain and everything we're in a gas station you know and you ask her to exit the vehicle and she refuses to do so you know what I mean then it go we go down this route yep so um I just wanted to let you know are you Dad yeah okay and my dad's a retired state trooper okay so so um do you have somebody well already called a hook I wish the beginning when the police asked her to roll down the car window she did indeed roll it down all the way as can be seen in the footage when she handed over her ID card she was dragged out of the chief said that the footage had been reviewed and no wrongdoing was found but soon after officer Brian Shimmel was also fired citing Public Safety but he was only fired he was not punished we also have information although not proven that officer Brian used to work in a different department and was fired from there on August 29th 2020 Sergeant Chad Walker of the Columbia Police Department was warning that some customers at the bar which was closing at 11:00 p.m. due to Corona virus needed to leave but this warning turned into an argument and the words that came out of the Sergeant's mouth the description of a homicide suspect this one showed me the the picture which looks nothing like him and when I asked to take a picture of the picture that he showed he won't show me the picture his screen which is supposed to fit the description yes please tell me why please please tell me why enforcement sensitive information we can't let you take a picture but you guys you you guys unless a person if they have Reasonable Suspicion or probable cause to believe that the person has committed a crime is in the process of committing a crime or is about to commit a crime however simply looking like a criminal is not sufficient grounds for arrest Law Enforcement Officers must have specific evidence or information linking the individual to criminal activity or a specific offense arbitrary arrests based solely on appearance are not legally justifiable in this case since the police had no evidence other than the color of the man's skin according to his wife the handcuffing and Witnesses four individuals left the area on foot after the incident descriptions included a black woman with her hair in a bun possibly wearing red clothing who was carrying a baby at least one black stroller out of her car and ran over there and got the kid out okay they have them running so they're checking the area they last saw them running they just said she was wearing a scarf and she's wearing a red shirt following the reported direction of Escape officers checked to nearby Applebees restaurant staff contacted Emergency Services stating a group matching the accident description had just come in and appeared agitated I work at Apple be and the cops came here and asked if there was a man woman and a baby that recently got hit there was a table that was sitting that looked very nervous and as soon as the cops left all of a sudden they want their food to go and they're checked immediately I don't know if they want to come back and look at this table before they leave cuz it is a a woman a man and a baby or whoever's in the area of Apple still they just advised that walked in there nervous no description that it might be related 6's out there when officers arrived at the Applebee's an employee pointed them towards a table occupied by a group among them the officers observed a man a woman with a child Who Bore some resemblance to the descriptions provided however after further investigation it was determined that these individuals were not connected to the hidden run hey you guys just in an accident no no we've been here the whole time what's going on how long how long you been here we've been here for an hour and 45 minutes yeah okay how long have they been here um who's the table that just walk in you guys just call it out witness descriptions LED officers to believe the group at the Applebees might have information about the accident during questioning the officers asked about their mode of transportation to the restaurant however the individuals declined to answer later it was discovered that the group's vehicle was actually visible in the restaurant's parking lot while acknowledging the vehicle could have clarified their arrival officers continued
