On January 16th, 2023, at approximately 7:00 a.m., a man armed with a rifle entered the lobby of the OYO Hotel on Houston's Katy [music] Freeway. The suspect approached the front desk and demanded that the clerk hand over all the money from the cash drawer. Watch as the suspect attempts to vault over the counter to reach the cash, but the clerk has a surprise of her own. Refusing to be a victim, the clerk drew her own handgun and pointed it directly at the intruder, causing the gunman to turn and flee the building empty-handed.
