Uttering a forged check when you're unknowingly trying to pass a fake or altered check as being real and grand theft in the amount of $5,000 through $10,000, which is theft involving property or money valued between 5 [music] to 10K. As a result of his attempt to try to pass the $5,505 fake check as being real, the case was resolved pretty quickly with him entering a plea of no contest or guilty. And as a result of this, the judge adjudicated him guilty on both charges. This means the court formally found him guilty and he was convicted on both charges. This didn't happen overnight and the time it took for him to actually get tried, he spent 2 months and 9 days in jail. And when he was released on the guilty verdict, he was sentenced to 4 years of probation. On top of his 4-year probation sentence, he also faced $1,002.50 in court costs and fines and additional supervision costs of around $50 a month. For his 4 years of probation, there's a few standard conditions that he must abide by, including reporting regularly to his probation officer, not committing any new crimes, not leaving the country without permission, maintaining employment, allowing home or work visits randomly and unannounced, no drugs or alcohol abuse, and being subject to random drug testing. As the officer mentioned, the same suspect was arrested at Walmart where he unlawfully took over $800 of lawn equipment passing all points of sale and as a result, he was ordered to pay $20 a month to repay Walmart as well. In addition, he was also ordered to serve 400 hours of community service. And lastly, was required to complete a substance abuse and life skills program with the purpose of rehabilitation and prevention. Let me know what you honestly think about this case down below in the comments. Stay safe out there and I'll see you in the next video. >> She sent somebody down here. >> Do you have that on your phone? >> No, man. That's already on >> The transaction? >> No, man. I took it out.
