Making arrests can be a headache, but no matter how much you try, some people leave you with no other option. >> Do you want to go to jail today? >> I don't give a >> This girl will take breaking up with her boyfriend way too far. >> She dated my son. They're not together anymore. >> There's signal 12. >> She's going to kill somebody. >> And these free spirits won't take kindly to being trespassed. >> Just leave. That's all you got to do is leave. Oh, on your feet. Walk away. >> But first, officers are called when an ex-girlfriend won't stop knocking on the door and also won't leave the property. >> Reason why you keep knocking on that door? Okay, well, I need you to come over here away from the door. To what? No? >> She's not listening. >> Ma'am, I'm still waiting for the door. >> All right, go inside. Tomorrow, I don't want her here. She's been asked to leave many, many times. She doesn't want to leave. I don't want to hurt. I don't want to arrest it. I just want her out of here, please, and I want noted. I want a report. You could see she's been doing this forever. I've been waiting for my glass to come in and break. She dated my son. They're not together anymore. >> Ah, a case of young love gone wrong. A tale is old as time. >> And I don't want her on my premises. This is my home. >> Okay. >> And I don't want her here. And this is my son. And I don't want him coming out of here because I don't feel safe with him with him. >> Okay. Ma'am, what is your name? >> Yes. Angel Heart. >> Ma'am, what is your name? >> She is on 33 and 716 and 106. >> Does she have mental >> Ma'am, habla español? >> She's in trouble. I just want her to understand she's not welcome here. >> her first name? So, she's not going to answer me? Sandra? Samantha? Samantha, are you are you hearing what she's saying? Hello. >> Just on her phone. >> Samantha, do you have your driver's license or an ID with you? >> The phone is a I don't want to sound like an old curmudgeon, but it's it's a problem. I have been on calls before where in stressful situations or situations when the police are trying to talk to people, they're just browsing on their phone and like very unresponsive. It's really odd. Limit the screen time for your kids, that's all I'm saying. >> Okay, this is going to last for a couple more minutes till my other deputy gets here and then >> He said >> She's going to have two routes. One she's going to answer me or she's going to go to jail. >> Are you going to say to him or you going to leave? >> I don't she's going to go to jail. >> Okay, so [snorts] please that's not what we want. >> Just give me your driver's license. >> I don't have it with me. You still need to leave. >> Well, then you need to talk to me. First level's at zero right now, so you can knock that crap off. I can understand how relationships and stuff like that can be very very volatile. But this is not the way to act like it cuz I'm assuming you're an adult. All right? What is your last name? Amanda, what is your last name? >> Samantha, if you keep obstructing the >> [laughter] >> Amanda, whatever your name is. >> Just give him the information. >> This is mom. This is ex-boyfriend and this is It's Samantha, correct? Yeah, this is Samantha who's not want to answer any questions or have anything to do with police and refusing to leave with her telling me to >> Police. >> Samantha, you're currently trespassing. Do you have ID on you? You don't? Or you are you not going to provide it? >> I don't have it. >> Okay, I'm asking. Are you are you going to leave right now off this property? Is this her car right here? >> Yes. >> Okay. Is that a yes or no? I'm not going to ask you again. >> Sam, they're not playing with you. We just want you to leave our home. We don't wish you any ill will. You're just not welcome here anymore. You need to leave. Why would you want to go and obstruct justice and get yourself into trouble when you're being given the chance by three officers to leave here >> this lady knows the law. >> and giving you the chance to go to your home and deal with whatever it is that you need to deal with today. >> There you go. >> and not be here and get yourself in trouble. It's not worth it. >> Just leave. >> can't stay here. You can't be banging on That's going to cause you problems later. If you get arrested, then you got to go back to court. Then you're considered a stalker. Then you obstruct us of justice not listening to a police officer. >> Are you Are you going to need to leave right now? >> Please leave. And do not come back. >> He said that I'll leave. >> Yes or no? Okay. >> There we go. >> heard her. She wants you to trust her at this point. >> It's on camera. If you were to come back on this property and we catch you here, you go to jail. You understand? All right. >> Thank you. >> Thumbs up. >> I don't know. >> All right. Well, there we go. >> Go right. 33 and something like >> Whoa. >> Show Samantha 2780 this property. >> Whoa. Couldn't do it. >> Go get her. >> Like they say in Groundhog Day, don't drive angry. >> Signal 12. >> to kill somebody. >> Yep. >> Go, dude. What are you doing? >> Unreal. >> 10-32. >> Wow, she gone. There she is. Whoa. it looks like she's going to stop for you. We're slowing down. We're coming up to West Virginia Street. Just stopping right in the middle of the lane. Damn, they got their guns out. I don't know. They have their guns out on the stop. I don't know what their protocols or policies are, but seems a little over the top. They know the girl. I don't know if you really need to do a felony stop at this point. [music] >> Unlock the door. Get out of the car. >> Cop's clearly angry. >> Don't move. It's over. How about running a stop sign, squealing your tires, and you failed to yield? Now you're under arrest. >> [music] >> Get against the car. >> Can you guys explain to me what did I do? >> Over here. Turn around. >> Can you guys explain to me >> I just told you what you did. >> I did not fail to yield. >> You could have pulled in the gas station instead of coming home. >> But I didn't I don't why you guys were coming after me. >> Okay. That's not how that works. >> Yeah, so you don't really need to understand why you're being pulled over. You just need to >> Do it! >> Go ahead and pull over. >> Matt, you got this one? >> Oh, yeah. >> All right. No, you're under arrest. Your car's getting towed. >> She's talking plenty now. We'll get back to her charges in just a moment, but first the employees had a quick trip called the cops on a group of free spirits that refused to leave. When the cops arrived, they have no problem giving them a piece of their mind. >> So, the staff would like you guys to move along off the property. >> What a crew. >> You guys just came here and like >> Oh my god. >> It was a big hit and like bang. >> Yeah, I got here at I got here after the fact, but they said they checked on >> You were following us earlier and like >> I was. And you didn't stop and talk to me. >> weird like I don't care. >> I'm not even >> Stop being a following me, dude. >> Well, the reason why I was to you I'll I'll tell you why I was following you because you guys were on the train tracks. Because you guys were on the train tracks. Because you guys were on the train tracks. Because you guys were on the train tracks. Because you guys were on the train tracks. Because you guys were on the train tracks. Because you guys were on Because you guys were on the train tracks. So, the train So, the train company calls us and they're and the reason and they're I can't get a word in edgewise with you guys. Oh my gosh, we can already tell what this group is going to be like, but yeah, train tracks. Most states, including mine, you can't walk on them. You can't walk across them. It is actually a crime. They got called for that. Didn't have to deal with it and now they're dealing with them again. >> I can't get a word in edgewise. So, I was following you to see if they wanted to pursue charges or not. And they did not, so we left you. Okay? That's it. >> No, it's That is not it. You got >> Okay, they want you off the property though. >> You got to [ __ ] call because there was us on the train tracks. >> On the train tracks, trespassing. Yeah. >> Okay? It's not your jurisdiction. >> Okay, you guys need to leave the property now. >> Well, you know, how are we supposed to? >> Watch me go over to the sidewalk right now. >> That's fine. >> Watch it. >> Yeah, you just need to leave the property. You can go to a different property. >> I'll leave the property. Suck >> Wishful thinking on the cops' part. So, is she able to walk at all? >> No, obviously not. >> Okay, I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to him. >> Lady lying on the table. >> So, does she need to go to the hospital? >> No. >> 69 can you get another car over here, please? >> Yeah, I would get at least one more car. >> Or just catch him at his Whatever you want to call me, man. Go ahead. >> Okay. >> Yo, can we get Sarge out here? >> You call in if you want. >> Bring your friends. >> Do you want to go to jail today? >> I don't give a >> Okay, cuz that's the track you're on right now. I'm not trying to mess I'm not trying to I'm not trying to mess you guys. But you're You're causing a You're causing a disturbance out here right now. >> What is the yellow liquid on the table there? >> I'm just responding to a call. She doesn't You need to stop. He's a problem. You need to stop. I wish I just started. It's been a long career already. >> Especially with calls like this. >> I'll give you it to get off the property. Otherwise, you'll be >> Go to your car and get the Come away from me. Yo, 20, please. Nobody's even giving us Nobody's giving us water or anything. >> Okay, I can give you I can give you some resources if you want to look into that. >> She must be intoxicated. Try to stay checked her out. They said she doesn't have to go in right now, but they But it is okay hanging with with >> Go over there, please. >> I can't be alone in thinking that guy looks exactly like Joe Dirt. >> Why aren't you talking to the microphone? I got a backup mic right here. >> It's It's okay hanging with that one guy who's been calling and stuff. >> Okay. >> This guy's getting all worked up for no reason. >> Yeah. >> He's been all right. >> He's wasted. >> He's going to tell you how it works. >> Right. >> We We work with them. >> I think he knows a lot about the railroad police because these guys are like modern-day hobos. Like they catch trains places. They kind of just travel around like panhandling, you know, like the good old days. >> I've been cool with you, man. >> So railroad So railroad police calls us. So if they don't have an officer they they call us and they'll give us jurisdiction. Essentially, they request mutual aid so we can come and assist them. >> So we basically are where we're at now. It's they want them off the property. >> Okay. >> She's not moving, obviously, so >> Okay. >> that's where we're at. >> Okay. >> Everyone does. >> Pretty much guarantee anybody's property you go and hang out on like this, they're also going to ask you to leave. >> Everyone has to leave. >> If she can't be today, we'll walk her and call private seat to take her to the hospital. For detox. >> It's not how that works. >> The thing is, to go to the hospital, you got to have consent. >> Not for detox. >> Yeah, you do. >> Okay, we're done arguing. Need to leave the property now. Who's this character? Nice. >> I like the cut of his jib. >> step would be citations or arrested. >> Well, honestly, give me a citation then. >> That guy just stopped for a second to check it out. He's got good guy with a gun written all over him. >> Okay, do you have your ID, please? >> He's going to get a piece. >> Why are you asking for his ID? >> Because he's refusing to leave. So, now we have to take the next step. We were trying to be cool, but now we have to take the next step. >> Then then leave. This this is my like what? We're just going to sit like the And then do you guys They can just sit here and do this? >> No, they're They wanted everyone They want everybody off the property. >> Yeah, so how are we supposed to do that? They're the ones that called and >> Use your legs to walk away. >> No, Yuppie called. They >> So, just leave. That's all you got to do is leave. You won't get any tickets. You won't get arrested. Just leave. That's it. Go on your feet. Walk away. >> [laughter] >> Ow. You have to leave the property. >> Why are we Why are we even dealing with that, man? >> Have y'all ever went to jail once? >> So, these guys are getting a lot of chances to leave and I guarantee you a big part of that is these cops really don't want to have to touch these guys. For obvious reasons. I'm I'm happy if we can just figure this out with That's cleaning it. >> Did you guys ever serve? >> Hell no, they haven't, dude. >> Look at them. >> I I haven't. They join They join the force. >> Did you guys ever serve? >> Let's go. Time to go. >> I I would score a higher count on the ASVAB than he would right now. >> That means you need to get up. She carries her away. >> You are, he's not. >> No, we are. You're not. >> Then tell your buddy to. >> Tell my buddy to what? >> To leave. >> Oh, yeah, he just took his girlfriend over there. That's your fault. Get out of the bathroom. >> Wait, what do you mean? This is my brother. >> Okay, whoever he is. Yeah, you have the right to leave. Now, you got to go, too. >> turned toward an officer and swung her arm towards his face. >> Don't think you can back up right now. >> Totally not necessary. Could totally be avoided. >> Samantha was charged with attempting to flee or elude, resisting without violence, possession of marijuana under 20 g, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The original video stated that Samantha pleaded not guilty and all charges were dropped. While factually correct, that doesn't tell the full story. Her fleeing charge was only dropped on the basis that she completed an 18-month pre-trial intervention program that required regular check-ins, 25 hours of community service, drug and alcohol testing, as well as ordering her to remain in lawful employment, and bar her from leaving the county without permission. So, she certainly didn't get off scot-free. Ultimately, they could have just walked away, but Elijah was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting an officer. Juliette was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer. Both were given signature bonds, but court records show that both Elijah and Juliette failed to appear for multiple hearings, eventually leading to a judge issuing a $500 bench warrant for each of their arrests.
