Despite being caught red-handed, these two professional criminals are about to pretend they're innocent. You're right. So, ma'am? Yep. I need you to step off. Come with me. You thought your boyfriend that just got out of jail was affording a half a million dollar Rolls-Royce? Is this a stereotype? We have a woman who helped steal a $600,000 car and the key to that car is in a interesting place. Listen, listen. Let me talk to you. Get it out. I don't care how you got it in. and a man who decided that Finder's Keepers was legally binding. Oh, I mean I see not yours, right? Oh, then why is it in your bag? But first, the cops recover a stolen Rolls-Royce and discover this woman lurking around. Witness confession statement reference to an autotheft. So, go ahead with the story, ma'am. And I was invited to a big party at the flowers residence and I was wearing very high high heels that night. So I asked one of the ladies to drive me over there because I don't want to walk. And when she got there in my as you do a very special one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce Phantom, which was a show car, rich lady. I had never there's only that was that was it. It was really a a masterpiece and besides I loved it. It was like my child. Anyway, we got there and there were like 30. He loves this car. Valet Parkers all in red jackets and I thought, gee, that look they all look like, you know, penguins or something. So, they got a good look of everybody got a good look at my car. Look at all these servants scurrying around like little penguins. Sorry, I don't mean to victim shame, but kind of funny. So, I kind of was a little suspicious, you know, that night, that Saturday night was the last time you saw the car, right? March 29th when I left. When did you realize that the car was gone? Well, at about 8:00 a.m. uh Sunday morning. So, I will say I've investigated a bunch of car thefts before and a car like that, they probably had to get the key or steal the key from the house or the key was left in it. very hard to steal a car like that without the actual fob or key. Came up in a panic and woke me up the bedroom or I was just getting up and she said, "The car is gone." And I said, "What are you talking about?" She said, "The rolls is gone." I said, "It can't be gone. It can't. What do you mean? It's gone and the gate is broken. It's lying on the floor halfway in the street, which amazed me that none of the police had seen it lying there since they're supposed to be patrolling. I don't know. Immediately called. Got to get her little jab in. Jeez. Palm Beach police that were there in about 2 minutes or less. What's the value of of the car? What was what how much the car cost you when you purchased it? I don't know exactly over I would about $600,000. Oh my gosh. You would think if a high value car like this is stolen, they have a plan for it. They're going to bring it right to a chop shop. It's not going to be seen again and they wouldn't be like out joy riding it around. You would think. We'll be back to the case in just a second. But first, we know from body cam footage that criminals aren't all that smart. They're looking for easy opportunities and your personal information online can be just that. That's why I've partnered with today's sponsor, Incogn, to help you avoid becoming an easy target. When I first started this channel, I Googled myself and easily found my home address. Considering some of the angry emails I get, I'd rather keep those people in my inbox than on my front step. So, I used Incogn to help remove it. This is how scams, harassment, and even identity theft can start. Your personal information sitting on people search websites, online directories, and other websites for the wrong people to find. Incogn works to remove that information. You create an account, authorize them once, and they contact hundreds of sites for you. And if you find your information somewhere Incogn hasn't looked, you can use their custom removal feature. Just paste the link into the dashboard, and their privacy experts take care of the rest. I asked Incogn if I could get a discount for you guys, and they came back with an incredible 60% off their annual plan. When you use discount code sergeant at incogn.com/sergeant, $600,000. Okay. It's worth that right now. So, you know, it could have been more because we had a trade and nothing else. And anybody who took that car like a damn house thief and should be locked up and put away forever. Now, should do you want to press charges against the people that stole your car? I sure do. What's the maximum I could What kind of question is that? I mean, that's that's odd. Press charges. Well, that's up to the state attorney. Whatever the most I can press, I want to press okay because I won't have maximum pressing. Probably five or six months of your property. They they not only stole it, they faking damaged it to where we can't they have to they don't even have the parts in London for the car. They have to make them. Okay. And that's going to be three months before they can do that. Have nothing else regarding this. Sounds affordable. Days later, officers located the Rolls-Royce Phantom parked on the side of a road. Footage of a nearby security camera captured a female getting out of the car. A deputy later spotted a vehicle driving in circles around the location of the stolen car with the woman in the back seat matching the description of the suspect. Are you an Uber? All right. Are you dropping her off somewhere? No English. No English. He speaks no English. Do you know where you were supposed to drop her off at? I have Espanol's officer coming. That's a really good grab to see somebody in the back of a car and say that person matches the description of the person we have on video. That's a good grab. Whoever got that, he tell he just told me they've been going. So he's holding his phone up just says no speaky. me not speaking English around in circles. Probably trying to find the probably trying to find the car right now. Yeah. Attention 37. Speak to him. Find out west 108128. All right. Reason why we're asking you this question is because um this reader whatever. All right. What we where are you trying to get to right now? So, they're going to start here with like a preliminary investigation and as soon as they get into like accusatory questions and statements towards a specific crime, they will or should go to Miranda and continue from there. I'm going home. Where's your home at? Oh, he says you've been driving around in circles. Circles? Yeah. Does he mean the circles in Water Hill? No, he's he's saying that you have her going around in like different places like her. Who is her? Him. This here's Here's the skinny. All right. What the hell? We were back there. I'm just going to We were back there in the corner cuz he was going in the opposite direction. I was trying to Okay. She's going to be one of those that can't shut her mouth and just let somebody else talk. Just be prepared. Guide him. That's all I saying. Like I was trying to guide him. Go to the right direction. Okay. Back there where you saw us in the corner over there. I'm sure you saw us all back there in the corner with with a tow truck. Yeah, that's what I was saying. Like I was asking were he going this way? Okay. Well, we were loading a car back there in the corner that was reported stolen out of Palm Beach. All right. And we have video surveillance of someone getting out of the car of the stolen vehicle that matches your description. Is there any reason why your description you be getting out of a stolen vehicle right now? I mean, why would I be getting out of a stolen description? Well, we have we we have video of someone with your blonde hair and your stature and size and everything of getting out of a stolen vehicle. Is this a stereotype? I think what she's trying to say is is this racism, but she said stereotype, which is kind of funny. It's not a stereotype. We have We have video. We have video. I mean, but at the end of the day, I'm getting in the car. I'm going home. He's nowhere near here. He's nowhere near here. And he's he has no reason to lie. Samples. We have video of you getting out of that car. Don't call. I mean, but at the end of the day, I know this. This is what I'm saying. I have my name and I have everything. That's what I'm saying. Okay. Well, how about you tell us what your name is then? You have a notepad? What? You have a notepad. I have a notepad. I'm not I'm not trying to be like rude or anything. You don't have a People have lied twist before in the past. Oh my god. All right. So, if you give me a picture, I'm not trying to I'm not trying to give you no no fake twist and no because right now this right now this is a stolen vehicle investigation. All right. You have the right to remain silent. There we go. Excuse me. Answer any questions about attorney present. You understand? You understand your rights? Yeah. Do I need to read your Okay. That's why we're This is why I'm talking to you. I'm saying like it's like you're being like you're yelling. So, I'm just like I don't I'm I'm not understanding like let's take a step back then. I'm sorry if I'm yelling to you. The reason why we're talking to you right now is because you match the description of a female that got out of a stolen vehicle like 6 hours ago in that complex and you just so happened to come by the same area to where it was and you're matching the description of the same subject that got out of the stolen vehicle. So with all that information, she can definitely be detained and questioned for a reasonable amount of time until they can figure out if it's going to move to the next step, probable cause or not. Yes, that's why we're talking to you right now. That doesn't even make no sense. That's what I'm saying. Because I don't even stay around here. I'm not even from whatever is why you're in there. That's what I'm saying. I gave this man directions and he's an Uber driver. I gave you the Academy Award here. He was driving this way and I was trying to tell him because he don't speak English. What city do you live in? I sit I stay by the Hard Rock. I don't stay nowhere near this area. What's What's your name? Annne Anderson. An N. All right. I'm going to run your name. It better be If you give me a fictitious name, it's not going to be it's going to be a problem. Okay? Please don't be a fictitious name. I don't need to like We shall see. What's What's he saying? So, he's an Uber driver. He picked her up somewhere. He said that she she first had him going somewhere and then had him change directions to here. As soon as they turned into the apartment, she was like, "Hey, left, right, left, right." I guiding him through the apartment. And then as soon as she saw the cop car, she's like, "Keep going. Keep going." So, we stop right here. So when he got here, he was telling me to keep going, keep going. Just a side note, I really love that automobile or car in Spanish is caros, just car with an O on the end. I wish the whole language was like that, honestly. Yeah. So, as soon as she saw the the car par she told him, "Go straight. Go straight to leave." Okay. So, he was telling her to pretty much to flee, right? Okay. She's like, "There are the cops. Let's get out of here." Also, incredibly ballsy to steal like a half a million dollar car and then just have it around. Just drive it around. That's nuts. Just make sure you get ID on him. Yeah. Yeah, I got it. Just be truthful. I'm not saying the gig is not up, but at the end of the day, I'm not saying the gig is not up. Okay. We're being pulled over. Yes. Listen, you're you're going to take the phone for whoever. Let's be honest. You're not the one driving the vehicle. You understand? I understand that. That's what I'm saying. I want to know who's driving the vehicle. Would you be able to help me out who's driving the vehicle? Okay. So, earlier my boyfriend pulled me up and that's what I'm saying. Earlier my boyfriend pulled me up in a car that was way foreign than I'm used to. What do you What kind of car own? Way foreign that you're used to. That car is way foreign to any of us. Like nobody I don't know a person that owns a Rolls-Royce, unfortunately. It was It was like a like a car. bird got a bird on the front on the front of it and all that type of it was gray bird like a little bird like a little one in front of the hood like a little like that. Okay. Like right there. Right. So what color was the car? Huh? What color was the car? What color? It was like a little gray or some [ __ ] like that. Like a dark gray. So I don't know, but I just know that he pulled up on me in front of the car with the gray bird and he said that I told him I'll be like, "Listen, I'm going to be home." But I I don't be on that stuff like that. He just pulled up on me. He wanted to take me out on a date, take me out to dinner. He said it was going to be a early birthday surprise. And then he picked you up and then where'd you guys go? We just went around Sunrise. I don't I don't know. Sunrise Plantation. I don't know. That's what I'm saying. I don't know. Like he put me up around Sunrise. Drop me off plantation. So your birthday gift was just to go on a ride. He didn't take a ride around the neighborhood. He did. Where'd he go? We went down to Moxy's. Moxy's. Okay. What's your boyfriend's name? Joshua. Joshua what? Joshua Reed. Joshua Reed. How do you spell her last name? It's like R E. R E E D. I wouldn't believe anything that was coming out of her mouth for the most part. And I don't think these guys probably do either. Where does he stay at? He just recently I know that he recently got out. That's the only thing I know. So I'm not sure if he's still stay in the same place on Oakland. Um, I know that his name is Joshua Reed, but I know that something about him. I know my boyfriend's name is Joshua Reed. Excellent. I'm not sure if that's still the same. I'm really not trying to be like funny with you guys. I'm really trying to remember, but I know that he told me two dates. I'm not sure if it's actual, but I know that's his real name because when I seen him before, when I searched him up, cuz I was doing our little the little behind the walls thingy, like, you know what I'm saying? to be down for you, man. Just like that. I saw I notic Reed. So I believe it was like background check. September September maybe November. September. November. A 3 month span. Yeah. You have a pen. I'll save the This poor guy has just let me out of here. That was never something. Make sure make sure we pat her down real good. I don't give a about no car. I never wanted to be in no what the I wanted to go home. We asked you if you had a like what the You thought your boyfriend that just got out of jail was affording a half a million dollars. Great point. Understand that people out here nowadays they be doing they got they own businesses. They Yeah. He got out started a business hugely successful and bought a Rolls-Royce. It's you know this is the American dream in action. Perfume that can resale. I don't know what the So you you expecting you're stereotyping now like that's what you're doing. You're stereotyping. You're stereotyping. I'm really not. That's what I'm saying. You're stereotyping. Super cool with you trying to get you to just be honest with you on video. And I did. Don't stereotype my boyfriend who just got out of jail that picked me up in a $600,000 stolen car. Please. Oh god. The gig's up, sister. Caro, Caro, Rojo, that exhausts the extent of my Spanish language knowledge. I started getting phone calls and then she started directing it like left, right, like you know, giving the right to see the complex, but she didn't like pass the key to her before he got stopped like to get rid of it or something like Okay. After heading to the jail, officers x-rayed the suspect and noticed a foreign object in a certain place. Its appearance matched that of a key fob to a Rolls-Royce. Oh my goodness. Yeah, some jails have X-rays. They do like a light X-ray of you for like a search just to make sure you don't have any contraband. I think there's only a few in the state I'm in that actually have that. But yeah, they work great and they save a lot of time. So, we're in the middle of the B here, right? You don't want to be here any longer than than you want to be. And I get off at 5. That's I want to go home. It's 3:53 and you've been up since like God knows what time. So listen, listen. Let me talk to you. It's easier if you when we get to the hospital, you get it out and we just hand that key to PBSO and they do what they do. So he's trying to talk her into just going to the hospital and removing it herself cuz seems like she might have she might have stuck it in the old prison purse as they call it for a body cavity search in police work. pretty much always requires talking to a judge and getting a warrant. It's a huge annoyance. If they can just get her convinced that it's going to be easier to just go to the hospital, have it removed, and hand it over to evidence, that's going to just streamline things, right? Just to streamline this process. And that way, like you said, you have two misdemeanor. Crazy. You said streamline. I took the words out of your mouth, brother. So, you can just get that key whichever way you got it in. Just get it on your own. instead of us having to go through the whole process of getting it out of and they still said that regardless of it because I know at the end of the day that's not even that's that might not even be the case but say that was the case and that was that is there and that was that is tell me I had to go to the hospital there was that is a key jammed inside of you talk about nothing and that's aggravated bro what's what's so like they that they won't tell you what it is what it looks like no they won't tell they remember what we told, remember we told you already you were a few hours ago when we when we first met you Mhm. investigated for a stolen car. Yeah. Remember the the Rolls-Royce? I mean, either way, you've stuck something inside your body and it needs to come out cuz you're going into a jail. So, why don't you go ahead and What the hell? Where'd that come from? With a little birdie thing up top that you mentioned me. We found it. Right. Right. and we were just going to recover, but then we got video that looks shows someone that looks like you. So, we found you in the area. You look like someone. You know what I'm saying? Looks like you is you. Then when we ask you for your name, you give us a bull name, right? Whoopsie pie. Right. And then you admit being inside that car. That's another charge as simple as right. And now when they scan you before getting being processed, right? before being fully booked in being done with it. They see what inside of you, what looks to be. She's not talking so much now. You know what I'm saying? So now 1 plus 1 plus 1 plus one. It all starts adding up, right? Get it out. I don't care how you got it in, right? I don't care what you got it in for. That's Palm Beach's problem if they want to deal with that, right? We'll give it to them. They do what they do with it. All right. I would hate to be in the receiving end of that evidence. A whole lot of pain in the ass. It's up to you. It really is up to you. Hey, no pun intended. Like, we still got to go, right? So, regardless of you're going to the hospital now, one way you get it out, that's like what a like maybe an hour at most getting you cleared, right? Getting it out of you, getting you treated, getting getting you, you know, I mean, at this point, either you take it out or you're going to be held down and medical staff with police present are going to take it out. So, it's a pretty obvious choice to me anyways. You don't want to get it out and now we go through the whole process of getting warrants and talking to judges and now your case just gets worse and worse. You ain't got to answer to me right now. I'll let you think about it. Is that fair? It's a good speech. Solid speech he gave her. She took it all in. You good now? Either way, it's coming out. Think about it. when we go to the hospital, just think about it. All right. The other side of this is you might want to like put some tape around her pant legs because she may try to push that thing out and get rid of it at some point. You're going to have to be watching her like a hawk, checking the cruiser when she gets out. I don't know. Just something to think about. All right. Have you thought about what we talked about? I don't know why they think it's a kid. That's the thing. The man said it looked like it looked like something else. I don't know why either way, you know. I mean, I already I already told you that either way. Yeah, you told me, but the man said it didn't look like that, though. So, I don't know. Like, what do you It's not the key. That's not what it is. What are you doing? What's up there? Doctors were able to retrieve the Rolls-Royce key from inside of the suspect at the hospital. We'll get back to her charges in just a moment. But first, the cops were called to an airport where an iPad was stolen, but the tracking was left on. So, I had it over here. Um, and I somebody just took off with it, I guess. Okay. Um, o sucks. The tracker is putting it somewhere in this area. Okay. Um, it's obviously not with me, right? You can put a thing in like play the sound. So, likeing bing and it's not. So, I've looked, I've listened, it's pretty loud. So, not that uncommon thefts in airports. People are going on planes and going all around the country and the world. And some people feel emboldened to take things with them, thinking they'll be all set. No one will catch them. It says it's 200 ft that way. Oo, nice. Come on. You're with me. Tracking is great. There's right now. So, I'm going to hop on that plane. If you will go ahead and play that for me. Just keep playing it. You want to take video? I trust you. Oh, okay. Okay. All right. Hello. We're tracking an iPad that belongs to somebody. This is great. I hope this thing's pinging like crazy. Obviously getting the solving the case. It's being handed to you. Tracking device and all. Yes, ma'am. Do you have an iPad? Yeah, it's um I think it's in terminal E. It's like where the checkpoint is. Oh, no. I'm looking. Oh, she lost her iPad, too. So, you're missing one. Maybe this person stole all of them. The where the security checkpoint is. Okay. I don't know anything about that one. Bing bing bing. Somebody's in trouble. Nice. This guy knows it. Uhoh. You got a phone going off? No speaky. No, I think that's something different. You got an iPad. Oh, I that might that might be his alarm. I think he put it on snooze by accident because it was going off earlier. Is your Is your alarm going off? It's right around there. Who's got it? Somebody got Spanish. I don't speak Spanish. Is it in the overhead? That's what I'm wondering. Whoop. Whose bag is it in? I love this bag. So, ma'am? Yep. I need you to step off. Come with me. Come on. Come on. Come on. What a punk. Caught red-handed. Only thing I would change here is I would have stepped behind the rose and had him walk in front of me. It's kind of awkward to have a suspect, someone you just caught red-handed, behind you. I mean, granted, there's a lot of people on the plane, but still, I'd want him in front of me. Sorry. Yeah, the back backpack is his. That's This kid's got to be crap in his pants. So, here's your back. We're going to deal with something. Nope. Spanish. So, he's asking for Spanish a lot. One of my favorite moments in police work is when someone is saying they can't speak English. Do you speak any English? And then a Spanish speaker police officer shows up and then all of a sudden I'm just showing him how to take a gun from a suspect. They just start speaking English. It's a strategy to not have to talk to you to just claim you don't speak the language. But a lot of times they do understand. Oh. Yeah. Not yours, right? No. No. See? Yeah. Not me. The one in there is yours. Not me. I just found it. I thought it was free. We're going to get We're going to get a Spanish speaker over here. Tisk tisk. You're not playing. No, you're coming with us. Oh, no. Oh, stop. We're going to get a Spanish speaker. We have a Spanish speaker coming. Okay. Not yours. Don't touch it. Oh, yes. Don't understand. Of course. Naughty boy. I love you. I don't speak Spanish. I love you. No. No. You're not flying. No. No. It's not yours. This This iPad, this phone is mine. That iPad is not yours. No. No. You put it in your bag. This is Oh, okay. Go. Go and have a seat. Thank you for your help. This is cooperative. You're now on speaker. So, if you would like to explain to him the sound in his bag belong to the iPad that was not his and then we'll go from there. Hey, nice meal officer. Yes, sir. He says that he found it on the floor. It was abandoned. Okay. He's doing picking up property that isn't his. Right. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, who sees like an iPad or an iPhone or something of high value like that somewhere unprotected and goes, "Oh, must be abandoned property that I can have." He said, he said he's sorry, but he since it was abandoned, he thought he could pick it up. Okay. It was not abandoned. It was sitting next to the contractor's property, but it belongs to another person, right? Yes. No, there is problemma. He says he's going to give it back. There's no problem and he's sorry. Okay. If you'd like to inform him he's going to be placed under arrest for theft cuz that is a problem. Slam dunk. Taking someone's stuff and taking it onto a plane and putting it in your bag is not acceptable. Bad news. Sorry, fella. You're going to the clink. I would explain to him. He's still saying no. He's sorry. There's no problem. Oh, I'm sure he's sorry you got caught. All right. Byebye. Bye. Face the wall. Put your hands behind your back. M's here. Yes. Vicki. Oh, me. Oh, put your hands behind back. What What gives me is that guy? Mhm. He didn't know where to go. Like he didn't know what plane to board or whatever. So, he asked me for help and I I helped him. Yeah. You're going to go here cold as ice. So, he understood me. So this guy helps him actually get on the plane and he decides I'll just steal from him. That's cold as ice. Anyway, I thought I appreciate that. I was like I was like when I saw him I was like, "Oh man, that kind of hurts my heart a little bit." Yeah. Getting stolen from sucks. It happened to me a long time ago. Maybe 18 years ago. I was actually getting ready for a midnight shift. I auto started my car. I went out with my duty bag. I noticed the door was like slightly a jar and I thought, "Oh, I was out and about that day. Maybe I didn't shut it all the way. Threw my duty bag on the seat. I got to work and when I picked the duty bag up, I noticed there was a small flashlight underneath of it. And I'm like, that's not my flashlight. It's like a little cheap plastic flashlight. And then I thought about the auto start and the door being cracked. And I opened the center console and it was all tossed. All my wife's used to teach horseback riding. All of her checks, like a dozen checks were stolen. A bunch of other stuff. I actually had a badge, a belt badge in there that was still there at the bottom. So I auto started the car. He was probably in the car when I did that. And he just got out of there. And since that day, I've had cameras and a security system on my house. It had that big an impact on me. It feels terrible being stolen from. So, especially in this circumstance where you actually befriended the guy, and then he decides to rip you off. The Rolls-Royce thief was charged with grand theft, tampering with evidence, false name or identity, introducing contraband into a jail, and trespass. Her case is still pending going to court. The man was charged with theft, and spent a day in jail. Thank you for joining me on this video. Please like, subscribe, comment below.
