On April [music] 4th, 2025, officers were called after a man tried cashing a mysterious $850 cashier's check. Turns out the account had been closed for fraud over a year [music] ago, but the young man claimed he was just handling a Bitcoin investment for his boss. Investigators confirmed the check [music] was counterfeit, revealing he unknowingly became a mule in a bigger scam. Um, is that a signer on this account? Yes, see, [music] so he was informed that he would get the cashier's check via the mail. This is right here. And then this is how he received it from that person I was telling you right there. Or fraud is closed by the bank for fraud. So, these people probably got their account compromised. They got like 20 accounts with this. Mhm.
