shooter's body was eventually recovered from a river after their shooting look at all these people here yeah you just saved the lives of all these people this Trooper saw a young officer scared after apparently taking a man's life and he would become his number one friend and support hey thank you if you need hey you're good you're good it started on July 28th 2019 when Hot Springs Police Department officers received multiple 911 calls regarding an unstable man with what appeared to be a loaded gun uh-oh uh-oh uh uhoh he just got up he's pulling something out of his pants lady get somebody down here please he has something down his pants it's long it's uhoh he's got a shotgun he's got a shotgun in his P there's a cop right next to him right now okay all right hey Put the gun down Put the gun down now Put the gun down now Put the gun down now stop Put the gun down Put the gun down drop the weapon drop the weapon drop it now drop the weapon drop the [Music] weapon okay and just then the suspect pointed his gun toward the officers forcing this officer to shoot 10 times sending the suspect to the ground let me see your head are you hit the suspect fired his shotgun injuring both the K9 and his Handler leaving the other officer who was a young recruit to defend everyone and neutralize the suspect he was able to do all that but it came at a cost as he soon began questioning his actions and falling apart got shells in his pocket do you want to hold on do you want to hold on him so I can go over there to Smith you want to hold on him so I can go to Smith I'm I'm shaking man up yep I'm back up get everybody back R what I don't know what you to do I'm the one that shot him okay holster up right here get everybody back somebody dude I'm shaking I can't believe this just man I don't know somebody shot behind me that scared the crap we shot I heard a round go off by my ear the officers had to form a perimeter keep the suspect and the injured officer alive and Mark important areas in the scene so a lot was happening and there was no one to comfort the officer but that was until this state trooper arrived stand on this yeah are you hit anywhere I don't I don't think so man I don't know right now you probably be feeling it now yeah I would be I don't think I'm hit I just I don't know I think I I don't know what happened when he shot man I dumped behind that tree what happened man we got a call that he's walking around downtown yelling at people we said they say that he's got a shotgun we get here people are pointing we get out he's got a shotgun he walks across the street we say drop the weapon up the road a little bit he racks one shoots into the ground okay so we're walking we're saying drop the weapon drop the weapon drop the weapon he kind of was turning he racked one and shot it into the ground yes and then he's we're sitting here K9 Officer said I have taser I've got my glock out okay uh and he goes he he's walking and and I'm familiar with the subject he's he's been very aggressive in the past but I mean he's walking he's got a shotgun yes he's got a shotgun he's walking he turns he turns around and lifted it up like this didn't point it directly at us that he was coming around he's coming around raising it like this and so I shot him hey you're hey hey you're good you're good I hey look stand up look at all these people here yeah look at all these people here yeah you just saved the lives of all these people okay what if one of those shotgun pellets would have gone and hit that person over there yeah you you're good I'm just take the Breather if you want to go sit down somewhere else yeah I'm good for now I'll talk to them I appreciate it man okay thank you if you need hey you're good you're good the injured officer and his dog recovered from the incident alongside the armed suspect who was eventually charged with assault causing serious bodily injury and assault with intent to cause bodily harm earning him a 20-year federal prison sentence the officer managed to save everyone on the scene however even with these officers attempts they had to watch one of their own die I got you buddy I got you I got you at midnight on December 31st 2017 officers arrived at a home to issue a mental health hold on a 37-year-old Army veteran named Matthew reel but they were unaware of the deadly shootout that awaited them open the door Sheriff's Office Matt had ongoing mental health issues and was very vocal about his hate for police so when they tried to break down his room door he fired rapidly at all five officers with an AR-15 rifle sending them on a race for their lives this was never like anything I ever imagined would say probably a 30 round magazine that he dumped on us within a couple seconds and that's when that's when I got shot blood coming out of my sleeves I'm like okay I got shot four of the officers got shot and some even tried unconventional methods to exit the house once I was inside that bedroom room I saw a window so I broke the window and then proceeded to jump out of it I'm hit I'm hit but even after this very harrowing experience the officers still put their Partners lives before theirs where you hit where you hit they started to render Aid to each other where you at on the chest okay open it open it yeah thear started administering Aid to me o administering Aid to Jeff right on my back right at that point that's when I could tell I'm not good like my lungs collapsed I was gargling blood I'm shot in the arm and the leg [Music] Serge open it I need a flashlight over here you're okay you're okay he's shooting out the window just move get out of here this way tell over here over here on the ground on the ground I got you buddy I got you I got you we don't care I got you buddy I got you you're okay you're going to be all right by now Matthew had fired so many rounds that going into detain him would be a death sentence however the officers had another reason to go into the apartment you see four of the officers officers were out of the apartment but there was another officer still inside Zachary perished and he was the first to be shot at I hear Zach say I'm shot I'm bleeding out hey I'm going cover me I fire my first thought is my friend's down I need to go get them so I started crawling I grab his I believe this his right boot but that rescue would be cut short as the suspect was still aware of their presence I moved in part two three feet that's when the next volley of rounds started coming out was very apparent by this time that it was clearly an ambush can you hear me let's go back let's go back come on Paris can you hear me no the officers were unable to go in because of the heavy gun fire which lasted for nearly 2 hours and while a SWAT team arrived and managed to neutralize Matthew with four fatal gun wounds they realized that officer Zach was shot 11 times including shots to the head and Chin resulting in his death he was alone in that apartment he died there alone even though I know I would at least he wouldn't have been alone if I would have stayed in there with him that's what haunts he was survived by a wife and two daughters and the entire Community mourned his death I promise to raise our girls with the Lord is my focus I promise to raise them in a home that bleeds blue Zach is uh is downright a hero there's no other way about it he's the poster child for who you want to hire as a police officer 1921 you are clear for end of watch thank you for your service and rest easy sir we have to watch from here so many good people and then it just takes one bad person and it it causes all this to happen so it's it's sad very sad he was buried on January 5th 2018 5 days after his death he was completely helpless against the suspect's Ambush attack however this officer looked death straight in the eyes and swore not to go down without a fight guys I got shot guys I got shot come over here I got shot I got you I got you you're good SAR on December 2nd 2023 Houston Police learned that a suspect responsible for multiple burglaries and possibly an aggravated assault case was disturbing some businesses so officers were dispatched and a sergeant searched behind a building where he met the armed suspect who fired at him multiple times hitting him in the arm leg and side before walking around to taunt and possibly end him but just then the sergeant even with multiple gunshot wounds exited his vehicle and shot at the suspect multiple times before falling to the ground I got shot guys I got shot come over here I got shot but even After experiencing such a terrifying Ambush that now left him in great pain and losing a lot of blood the sergeant remained composed and got hey let me see your ass let me see your ass the two uh mother two uh business you got know the suspect was pronounced dead on the scene and the sergeant was eventually hospitalized and managed to recover from the incident no one was around to tell him how composed he was about the entire incident however this young female recruit just saved her supervisor's life and she needed to hear how important she was you sa you saved Le from getting up a lot you stopped it from escalating you did a good job don't be hard it started on April 12th 2024 when officers dispatched to trespass a homeless man from a private property discovered that he had an active arrest warrant anything on you you shouldn't have I I this sounds this is illegal I I'm not under arrest and Rockford I'm just saying okay but the rest is either we're getting confirmation on that man okay oh then you just said you need a confirmation hey come on put the put the am I under arrest or no you have a war you have a warrant I have the right to know what I'm under arrest for a warrant for what we don't know you the officers knew the man had a warrant but didn't know what it was for for and while they tried to request for specifics from Dispatch they had no idea they would soon be fighting for their lives hey with the male caught down with a face bleed the suspect could easily cause more damage and fatally wound him so the female officer seeing this decided to lure him away risking her own life to save her supervisor sh don't move don't move let him again put your hands behind your back hands behind your back release them both officers handled the case professionally and even as a new recruit the female officer was a very crucial element in her partner's safety something she needed to be told you pointed your taser this way and I want to make sure I didn't I I dipped in over here to pull mine out I know if you shooting I don't want to hit you yeah no I was I didn't want you to hit me yeah yeah you or Lee Lee got hit he took it he's fine he's fine he just has it's a cut it's all right we'll be okay you stopped it though from getting worse you stopped it from escalating you did a good job don't be hard the injured officer was treated for his cut and months later promoted to the role of a sergeant while the suspect was charged with criminal trespass resisting arrest and aggravated battery on a peace officer both officers worked well to contain the suspect resulting in no major harm to anyone involved but the next officer wasn't so lucky as she was only seconds away from Death help me where's your radio help me where's your radio and her savior wasn't even an officer come on hang with me hang with me those were the cries of police officer Angelina bini moments after she don't move where's the gun I don't Sho where's the gun oh no the officers arrested and detained William but that unfortunately didn't help Angelina very much because it was discovered that bullets had penetrated her thigh and femoral artery she initially spent 2 weeks in the hospital but even after nearly 5 years since the incident she still suffers from physical and emotional trauma anxiety the panic attacks the insomnia the night sweats where I have to I do change my clothes three times a night I sweat through my sheets where I have to pull the sheets off just so I can sleep on something dry which I've already had multiple procedures to try and save the leg this is what happens you get to your maximum recovery level and then what happens it ages it ages faster than normal Angelina lost her job as an officer after the incident and basically lost her life as well but so did William Patterson as he faced 12 charges including injury to law enforcement attempted aggravated murder and aggravated malicious wounding he was ultimately sentenced to spend 88 years in prison Angelina had the help of a retired Leo during her very horrifying Ambush but this officer was helped by citizens ready to risk their lives to save him what can I help you with hey tighten that lamp my my wife has got a gun she on September 7th 2024 an officer was in his parked vehicle between barriers non-life-threatening injuries and discharged later that day the deceased suspect was later discovered to have an extensive criminal record leading law enforcement to believe that the officer was just at the wrong place at the wrong time I believe based on current information that Corporal Simcox was a target of oportunity I think this shooter saw a patrol car and that's the one he decided to take shot but as unlucky as that officer was this officer would be made to pay very dearly after his Partners made a deadly mistake that would cause a shootout in front of their police station 101 back the station shut 101 Officer Down roll an ambulance it all started on July 30th 2020 when officers ambushed and detained a man suspected of stealing a vehicle got to tell [Applause] you wait wait wait I
