So, >> perfect. >> In the cruiser, Shawn says he has been homeless for 15 years and was once part of the Crazy Dragons gang, but got out. He shared his disdain for Canada and a love for America. He describes his vegan beliefs, claiming he eats food that gives eternal life, which has kept him awake for 5 days. He shared conspiracy theories about Chinese using wizardry to sleep with and enslave white people, and claimed he was one of America's founding fathers. He shared that the person he carjacked was Asian and that he let them get their stuff out of the vehicle before he drove it away. He explained he committed the carjacking because God told him he would be forgiven, stressing he did not want to hurt anyone and planned to flee to South America for a warmer climate. At the hospital, Shawn refused blood testing for religious reasons, but agreed to a field sobriety test. He prefaced the test by sharing he lost a quarter of his vision from a shotgun wound to the head years ago and that his legs were currently damaged by FN rounds fired at the scene. Regardless, the officer running the test shared his opinion of the results. >> You did the fields. You >> did them pretty damn good. >> In America, Shawn faced one count of possession of a stolen vehicle, one count of eluding, one count of reckless driving, one count of hit and run, and one count of seconddegree assault. Shawn was ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation to determine competency to proceed with the court process. In about 7 months, he was found competent and struck a plea deal. He was found guilty on amended charges for one count of seconddegree assault with a deadly weapon and one count of attempting to elude a police vehicle. He was sentenced to 8 months in jail with 7 months credit, then deported to Canada where he faced one count of robbery. Reports say he was already on probation in Canada for an assault earlier that year. The sentencing information for the robbery charge in Canada has been sealed from publication by the Canadian court system. >> That was my first. >> What was it at? >> What? What was it at? What? >> Are you guys camera off? >> Yeah, I'll turn it off. That was kind of a weird one. Do you uh >> The problem is is um we have PC for a living on no mutual. >> I know. I saw that. I saw them all pull their spikes >> and they could have that was not good >> from our standpoint. We were >> monitoring monitoring and now he's failing to yield. >> I called I called Snow County. >> Now we got reckless driving. >> That's what we're doing >> enough. And with the armed robbery info, we don't that doesn't have to be we don't have to act off Canada's BC. Well, >> clearly was trying to help.
