Although the children were not physically harmed, police records indicate that they were inside the trunk for approximately 17 minutes. During that time, the vehicle's heat was turned off and the outside temperature was just 8° Fahrenheit. Oh. There's a Twisted Tea. I'm going to take two Shredded Wheat. Oh, and some vodkas. I appreciate that. The children were driven to the Westminster Police Department and eventually picked up by their grandmother. According to the police report, Thomas Raiola was ultimately arrested for reckless driving, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, three counts of child abuse, and failure to provide valid proof of insurance upon request. He is due in court on April 8th, 2026.
