not knowing that it was actually a trap by cops to arrest her on September 27th 2023 officers were called to a restaurant by the owner who felt he was being scammed are we had a table of four people two two ladies and then two uh younger girls they called the manager over one of the lady was holding a napkin on her tooth say that she cracked her she believes that she cracked her tooth chewing on a rock in her salad okay she showed us the rock a small black rock and we got an invoice yesterday uh for between $8 $9,000 between $8 and $9,000 decided to call my insur sorry to email my insurance uh agent as soon as I sent him the email with what happened he called me and told me that he has been hearing about this scam all all over Florida and multiple of his customers that he had to deal with but it was a fake invoice and then she confirmed that was not one of her patients speaking a dental invoice to get a local restaurant to pay $877 was an obvious scam and an arrest offense so with all the facts the officers would organize a Meetup to arrest the unsuspecting criminals so what is it that you are looking for I I just want you know this work to be done for my treatment plan I don't have no dental insurance and uh the treatment plan is like 8750 it there's a lot of work that needs to be done it's it's $8,700 of work that needs to be done due to this and I've sent over my my you know my records my midle notes is there was that a quote or or did you already receive the work no I did not reive the work it that was a quote from my vent so I I really want to remediate this and Sheila was so eager to cut herself from the pair that she said her mom was actually her aunt this your pler man excuse me are you handicapped yeah my my friend is well my aunt's with her at inside she has an injury in her Lake but this is not my car this is a friend of mine is this car or someone else's car this is the aunt she's inside so with the aunt this is aunt's car yeah okay okay and Mary something or maybe you know you just so you thought it sounded weird right kind of it didn't sound right when she was talking about her tooth injury or mouth surgery or whatever I mean I would be like let me see you know or let me see pictures I didn't believe her she went to a dentist and she had a you know right but then did she show you any any on her mouth and picture pictures be like look what happened at the store okay she told me it was just hurting her really bad that's told and you didn't you didn't ask like oh my God that's crazy that happened I did but I didn't ask for photos or anything I took her wait I'm saying I didn't know if she volunteered to send you pictures like okay so there was no picture and you didn't ask to see it today like let me see what they I don't think you know it's in the back she said wanted to open her mouth and show me and she was Bing so I didn't look it you I me I would but that's how I wouldn't do that to somebody okay so you just believed her you didn't ask like let me look and see they were willing to take extreme length to fake innocence but the officers predictably determined that all three of them plan the scam and place them under [Music] arrest they were charged with forgery and Grand Theft and while some would argue that scam a small business of nearly $99,000 is horrible scamming an 80-year-old woman of $150,000 is completely evil and these scammers would finally meet their end you going to throw your friend under the bus or are you going to be honest I'm going to be honest go let's let's hear it it all happened on May 25th 2023 when two scammers tried to pick up $50,000 from a 70-year-old woman they were scamming without knowing that it was a trap said by police they they were good let me tell you they these this these people are good yesterday I was on my iPad which I have here so um this thing comes up from Apple mhm support on your phone on my iPad your iPad okay and it said that you know you're iPad your phone your financial institute has all been compromised okay so call this number and I did and I talked to this black Dawson which sounds like a artific fictitious name called was it like a was it like just a Southern accent normal accent they all had accent except for one what kind of accent you know like um one had an English accent one was like maybe Hindu Indian okay but the girl I talked to was had regular normal English accent okay yesterday I was on the phone with them for 8 hours today I was on the phone with them from 10 until they picked up the money at 530 you know the the guy from Apple said well you know there's a charge for $29,999 199 to a child website in China mhm so the one guy from Wells Fargo said okay this is what you got to do you got to go to the bank get the 30 gr we're going to do a duplicate transfer to cancel that out and um so that you won't be be responsible for it like that all right you know I've got the address of where I went to the it was a the Chevron station I've got all that information I did it and then they called me back at 10: this morning okay I was I talked to the um Department of Treasury so so there were two separate transactions on your end so 30,000 yesterday 50 so and they were both cash yes they stole 80,000 from the 70-year-old within 3 days and after over 15 hours of calls so the officers were determined to interrogate the main scammer and get him to confess to his inhumane crimes so how didd you get to the address that you showed up at today we were just moving from over there and the police cops they just put the lights on us so we have to stop back you were moving you were moving somewhere you you ended up on a dead end road so that was we figured out yeah we just going and come back who were you on the phone with when I was at your door was my friend in India well for what who just calling me they scam people for money I don't know yeah you do I really we're not going to play the dude I know have over four five grand to your name you've done this before and you get a cut you get a cut both men were charged with organized fraud of $50,000 or more unlawful use of a two-way Communications device to facilitate a crime and Grand Theft of $50,000 or more from a person over 65 years of age they were non- US citizens at the time and several people demanded their deportation for scamming and put his name in it this signature here which is supposedly the guy this guy doesn't match our delivery M like this was when it was delivered so when we delivered it we delivered it to Apartment A which is on the left hand side she lives in apartment B right across here so she had us deliver it to a vacant an apartment and moved the head over to her apartment so she made an Aus boards letter this is a lease which I know you can get leases offline those aren't nothing but what blows my mind is and now she's trying to sell my stuff cuz lindsy called me back this morning she's like Jess she just tried to sell me your furniture I'm like she's what the woman cooked up an elaborate scheme to basically steal a couch and then put it up for sale but she mistakenly left her name in the fake documents so officers were sent to her home but getting her arrested would not be an easy task Riverside Police open the door Riverside Police last chance we're going to kick your door open watch your
