Hi. >> Hello. >> All right. >> Sorry, I just I just woke my husband up. He didn't even know what's going on. >> Okay, I got you. So, let's What's going on? >> Did you find her? >> Uh, no. I was coming down wind, so she didn't go south. So, she either went north or went on 173 somewhere. I have another officer just seeing if uh they could find her. Um, so what occurred? So I got a sorry she's she has never >> touch. >> All right. Sorry. >> So the guy that she's been dating is very abusive and something happened tonight. Um >> and like more right. >> Yeah. Which is a reoccurring thing with the two of them. And so I went out there cuz I guess her key was smashed. She would she couldn't drive her car. So I went out there to give her a key and I said, "I'll follow you home." She was like really tired and she was just not even herself. and she's like, "I've been up since 10:00 Door Door Dashing and I haven't got any sleep and I'm just so upset." And so she was like crying hysterically right before she got in the car to come home. And then I go, "I'll follow you home because I don't feel like like you're you're tired, you know?" She took off way ahead of me speeding. So I was pissed cuz I was like, "What the hell is she doing?" [snorts] And um so we get here and then we get in the house, she's swearing at me. She's like, "I need your phone cuz I have no phone now." I was like, "You're not taking my phone." I go, "No, you're going right to bed." I go, "We will talk in the morning." Um, she's like, "Then fine. I'm just out of here." She goes upstairs and grabs her stuff and she backpack on. She thinks she's getting in the car. So, I was like, "No, you were not driving. Something's not right with you." [snorts] Sorry. I'm sorry. >> Sorry. Take a second. >> I don't know what's wrong with her. [snorts] So, she takes off walking down the road cuz I wouldn't let her in the car. I was like standing in the way. I was like, "You're not driving anywhere. Especially after seeing you drive home tonight. You're not going anywhere. And I don't want you give me the keys to your car. She would not get into me. So, she just started walking. So, then I was sitting like right in the dining room just waiting for her to come back. So, if she would and I saw her come back and I opened the door and I came outside to go, "You're not going anywhere." She goes, "Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere." So, she went out to her room and I sat right here. I think she thought I was going to go to bed. So, I knew she was going to come back down and she did. She grabbed her stuff again. She came back down. I go, "You are not going anywhere. Give me your keys." So, I was getting in front of her. She started pushing me out of the way. So, we were pushing each other because I was trying to grab the keys. Then she got the car is usually parked right in the front here. Um, she got in the driver's seat. She went to go start her car and I'm trying to grab the keys from her because I don't want her driving and we're pushing each other and then she goes, "Don't you lay hands on me." And I was like, "I give me the keys." So we're fighting and then when I got out of out of the way cuz we're like pushing each other cuz everything happens faster. We do have cameras though so I can see what happened. She's like, "You touched me first." "Yeah, I'm trying to get the keys. Of course I touched you." And so then she just like swung at me and I was like, "What the fuck?" like and she's like, "That's what you get. You laid hands on me." And I was like, "No, no, I'm calling the police. You are not going anywhere." And that's what I called you guys. [snorts] >> Okay. And her phone isn't working right now. >> No, it's smashed and it's not smashed. >> And do you have a like ID on you by chance? >> No, I'm good. Thank you. I appreciate it though. Do you know what happened in Lakemore tonight? Because they did they just told me there was an incident, so I haven't followed up with them exactly what was going on, but >> I do not know. I uh I didn't know what was going. I sle I was sleeping. She she came in and she asked me if this is what was if this was her key and I said yeah. >> So I she left. >> She's talking like I don't even understand what she's saying. No, but like I don't recognize her. I don't She said I don't even know. >> So I have to ask do you need like any medical attention at all? Do you want to get checked out at all? >> No, I just I called because it escalated really fast and I don't want her behind the wheel and she off anyway. So, >> I got you. Like I said, I came from the police department, so I was coming from south, so I didn't see her at all. And I was there pretty quickly. So, she had to either go down English Prairie or went down somewhere down 173. And I haven't heard anything back from the other officer, so I don't know where she would uh would have went. Um, I'm going to grab some stuff from the the my squad vehicle, some paperwork and stuff, and then I got to follow up with her, get her side of it. So, she doesn't have a phone obviously right now. Um, do you know her phone number outside my head? I know it doesn't work. But what I'm going to do is I'm going to fill out this paperwork. It's a It's a domestic violence risk assessment. So, um, I do see a little bit of a bruise on your right side, your right cheek. U, you want to turn that way. What was your name? If you want, you want to step up. Can you see what I'm seeing on the right cheek right there? >> Yeah. which looks like about so to me from what you're telling me is that she hits you on that side of the face. I would say that that that to me seems like that it looks fresh, right? So, um we're going to go through this paperwork and then we'll go from there. Okay. So, I'm going to ask you some questions. They might sound a little, you know, for layman terms, a little unprofessional or whatever the case may be, but anytime you're associated with a call like this, we got to go through it. Okay. So, does she uh live here like full time? >> Yes. Okay. Have you ever had an order of protection against her? >> As of right now. Um I'm going to take a quick picture of your face and then uh like I said, if she comes back, you got to call us back. All right. Cuz now we got to follow up with it. So, at some point, we're going to come into contact with her. >> So, um if she comes back and I call you guys, she's not going to get in trouble. She just needs to tell her story, right? >> We're going to have to speak with her and then go from there. I mean, I can't really give you a direct answer because I'm The only thing I know right now is what you're telling me. >> Yeah. >> Tell um so I got to speak with her. I got to figure out what's going on. Um so I'm going to take a quick picture, couple pictures. So it's just that side of the face. I'm going to look one more time just to make sure that I get all the pictures. Just put your arms out like this first. Okay. Then you can flip it over and just see your fist. You can balm them up a little bit. All right. And then uh I'm going to look at this your your left side. Okay. So I don't see anything on that side. And so what is this side? All right. I'm going to take a quick picture. All right. And then uh Yeah. No. No. >> No. I know. I'm saying like >> I don't disagree with the officer that way. I don't know if I should share a little bit more, but she just had an abortion >> like this week with this guy on >> and she's going through that right like it's it was a not the medical, but she did the pill kind. So, she hasn't been home since then and she's going through that right now and so she's got all this stuff going on. >> Put all the emotions going. >> Yes. Tons of hormones, all these pills that she >> Do you think there's any chance that she can go back together? >> No. >> Okay. >> No. >> Okay. But that's That's what happens here. >> So again, I mean, it's nothing that you could really do about you're doing what you can. I mean, at the end of the day, nothing set a stone. So I'll have a conversation with her and then I said, it seems like she just has a lot of stuff going on. I mean, it seems like the that guy probably isn't the best of guys to be associating with. So, >> thank you. >> Um, other than that though, so as of right now, there's nothing more I could do necessarily here. So again, if she comes back, call us back. Okay, >> we will. >> All right. You have any questions? I can try to answer either one of you. >> Thank you. >> No. Okay. All right. I'm going to probably let you walk me out again. >> Thanks. >> Thank you guys. Have a better night. All right. >> Thank you. >> Help you out just so you don't face plant. >> Please follow me up to this door over here. Okay. Seat in that chair over there and I'll be with you in just a minute. Okay. All right. Pertaining to the event between you and your mom. Okay. So, obviously everything's recorded. All right. Just so you know, >> um before we get started, so I'm going to read you your Miranda warning. Okay. You're not under arrest or anything at this time. And having these rights in mind, are you willing to answer my questions now? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. So, we'll start from the beginning. Um I know you had an incident in Lakemore early in the night. I'm not really I'm not here for any of that. Okay. >> This is strictly just based on what what happened between you and your mom. Okay. So, can you run me through everything after that point? So, if something started with arguments from the second, >> it kind of started with like the first one because when like I was trying to talk to my mom like the cop got involved and so like it got me and my mom like into like a little it wasn't like a big argument. It was just words like we was just like mom just like please just like shut up about the whole situation. like I know I know I wasn't like supposed to be with him and she was just basically just expressing how she was just mad that I was with him and so that's when she we went home and then once we got home um it happened like I was already kind of frantic and choken up by that situation but we went inside and I asked her if I can use her phone because this one is my cousin gave me it. It's an extra because mine is completely shattered. Like I can't even turn it on or anything. >> And the that incident happened last night, right? The other the whatever happened that Yeah. Whatever happened on that day, the next day after that, I was supposed to go pick up my friend's graduation cake at 11:00 a.m. and it was like four cakes because her family's busy. And I my I told my mom prior to that, but I was like, I need to text Kaylee now that I wouldn't be able to make it. and she was basically telling me no. So then I went upstairs and then I started packing like cuz I already had some bags in my car because I just came back from a concert, Summer Smash. I don't know if you know about that or not, but I came back and I already had like some like my backpack like another backpack in there and I was just packing my clothes and she was just basically telling me like I'm not going to go anywhere and I just like just wanted to like just to leave because I didn't want to deal with the screaming. And so as we were going downstairs, um, I had my key, but she was trying to keep reaching for it. And then that's when like she grabbed me by my arm to like pull me back. But this is when my door is kind of like already open. So like we're kind of just like going back and forth kind of like >> outside. >> Yeah. It's like kind like like we're like we're like verbally screaming like kind of like downstairs. It's like a walking like we're walking downstairs outside and that's when like she like no like you're not going you're not leaving. And I was just trying I'm like I I just don't want to be I just don't want to be near anybody. And I was just trying to tell my like I don't want to be near anybody. And I was just frantic. So like we're going like back and forth back and forth in my key. And that's when cuz I already have a cut in my hand prior to the thing. So it hurt. So I let go and my hand slipped. So like when I let go cuz it was both my key. It was both my hands on the key, the little metal part and like the actual key and it slipped and it hit her in the face. And I never I I'm not the type to ever to like lay hands on my mother. I love my mother to death. She's my best friend. But and that I we never been in an altercation like that. We were both shugging up in the moment. And I even texted her like apologized once I got like onto my phone. But [snorts] basically that's what happened. and I saw her crying and I kind of just I I'm embarrassed and ashamed of what I did because I never acted like that. And I'm kind of like just embarrassed to like show my face in front of like my brothers, my like my stepdad because my mom told me like my stepdad like came out and was like trying to like like just like basically like hold him like everything's going to be fine. But I I wasn't there because I didn't want to be there. I was just basically like free. I don't know. Like I was just I just wanted to be alone at the time because of everything that went down because it would just happen like I feel like all just like at once like I all just like laid on me at once. >> Right. >> With that >> when um obviously so I went and talked to your mom, right? >> Yeah. >> And we see she she had a mark on her face right above her right by her cheekbone. Right. So um back to obviously when you just said that your hand slipped or whatever. I just want to clarify make sure I understand. So you had a cut in your whatever. >> You guys were kind of just going back and forth, you know, >> possibly. Maybe you guys were reaching back and forth with each other's hand. Is it possible that you possibly accidentally like She mentioned something about kicking as well. Said possibly there >> with my door. I was just like moving it. I was already sitting in my car like just keep moving it like this. Not I wasn't like kicking her but I was kicking the door to like move it away from her. >> Okay. And when you say your like your hand slipped like with your the cut in your hand or whatever, like what do you mean it slipped? It might have hit her. Like was it the key? Was it your your hand? Did your finger actually come across it or >> Well, my thing is is my finger was cut. And so when I went like that, like it cut like I don't know. It just all happened. Like I sort of kind of don't remember how it went down because it just happened all at once. Like my adrenaline was up. Like it just happened all at once. So I couldn't really like I don't know it was literally like that like so like this part of my hand because again it's on the middle piece it just slipped like that but my hand was still attached to the other key like the other part of the key. >> Is it I mean would you say it's possible or sounds like possibly it slipped you might have >> hit her in the course of that. >> Okay. So basically from what you're saying to me is that so you had whatever go on early in the day, right? And then basically it started from the time you got picked up, you guys went home. You wanted to use her phone. >> Yeah. >> She did not want you to use her phone. So at that point with the verbal arguments, whatever else was going on, you decided that it'd be better to leave. You were leaving >> because I was just being selfish at the moment. I just wanted to be by myself. Like I just didn't I didn't want to deal with all of that at the moment. It was it was too much. I hear enough about it about me going back to him constantly back and forth because I already I have a lot of history messed up history and just going back and forth. It's a stupid situation. >> No, I understand. Um, so after that happened, what what did you do? So you you had the key in your hand, you took it back. >> I turned I turned my car on and I left. So then you left. >> Yeah, like right after I got my key, I just left because I just panicked because of what just happened and like I never got in like that was the first time and I didn't know what to do. So I literally that's what I do every time. I kind of just leave the situation. >> Okay. >> So >> And where did you go after that? >> I went to walk to >> I came out pretty close after the call and I never came across you. So >> I'm assuming you went Did you go down 173? Is that how like Okay. >> So if you go towards >> I'm not really good with not coming towards town. >> So like leaving my neighborhood take a left >> and then you know like at the stop sign you take a right. I just you can just go straight like that's where >> All right. Um whatever. Like I said I don't know what you got going on but any like drugs or alcohol? Anything that might have been swaying you at all? Not to get you in trouble but just understand. >> Yeah. I'm going to be completely honest. No, I wasn't. We just that kind of relationship is how it always was since the beginning. >> Like I said, I'm not I'm not asking to like get you in trouble or anything. I just want to understand if you have some other stuff going on and maybe your head wasn't in the right place. You know what I mean? >> It's just more so the whatever events took place a little bit earlier than the altercation with your mom. You have anything else that you'd like to to tell me that may or may not um you may or may not remember at this point? Is that kind of basically everything that happened? >> Yeah. >> Um have you been home since or not yet? >> No, not yet. I went to my cousin's house which is my cousin lives with my grandparents which is her dad. So, I mean, I' I've been calling her the entire day and so yeah, >> like we both talked everything out and stuff like that past. >> So, basically, I'll be straight up with you. All right. So, this is what's going to happen. Okay? So, based on my investigation, I'm going to be arresting you, okay? For domestic battery. All right? So, this is not anything that has to do with your mom. she doesn't have to be the one signing complaints or anything like that. So, throughout my investigation and everything and everything you're telling me, okay? So, that's where we're going to be at. Um, I'll explain everything to you as soon as we get everything together. >> Uh, you'll Yeah, we'll get in contact with her, but right now I just need you to stand up. Okay. Just put your phone on the table and turn around for me. Right. >> You don't have anything like on you, right? Except me. Stick me. Did you drive here? >> No, I >> Okay, so your car's not here obviously. I need to my cousin because my house. >> Okay. Yeah, we'll we'll figure it out. All right. I just want to make sure this isn't too tight. Just follow me. All right. Well, I'll lead you. Just go out this door. Okay. All right. Hold on. I'm going to grab your phone and then just go out to your right.
