This is the recorded police interview of a Florida woman accused of posting online threats about carrying out a mass shooting at Meadowbrook Academy in Ocala. According to investigators, her social media posts included statements that she was going to do it and directly named the school. Police say the message was serious enough to trigger immediate concern and prompt an urgent investigation. Detectives traced the account, identified the woman, and brought her in for questioning. This footage captures that interview. Um so has anybody told you why you're here? You have no idea. Okay. So >> was arrested for violence, so I don't know if that has to do with that. And that's a That was your brother? Yeah, yeah. Okay, but that those have been the charges were dropped. Okay, yeah. >> Yeah, I looked into that. Now, this doesn't have anything to do with that. So um we received a report this morning about some concerning about a concerning statement that was made on your Facebook account. Okay. Do you know what I'm talking about? I I make a lot. Okay, it's specifically in reference to Meadowbrook Academy. Yeah, so I used to go to school there in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. Okay. So what's up with that? Like you have an issue >> like Christian nationalists. Okay. Is that what that school is? I don't know. I don't >> a Christian private school, yeah. Okay. So you don't like Christian nationalist. >> Yeah, but I'm not going to do anything. I mean my freedom is the most important thing to me. Okay. Um >> I don't agree with their values. It's very damaging to women, to a lot of people. Okay. Um so explain that to me a little bit more. So you went to this school. How old are you now? 30. You're 30 and you said in middle school. Yeah, uh 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. Okay, so what? Conservatively maybe 15 plus years ago? When you were young I mean if you're 15 you're 9th grade, so maybe 16, 17 years ago? Yeah. Have you had any involvement with this school since then? I mean I went to church for on Sunday like a couple months ago. You went there for church? >> Yeah. Does your mom go there? No one goes there. We're not I think Ukrainians are like Greek Orthodox. We're not Christian. Okay. Um so what prompted So I I first want to confirm so we we sent a um a request to Meta who owns Facebook. >> Yeah. Um just confirming that that is your account. Yeah. No No one else has access to that account that you >> Not that I know. Okay. >> I'm trying not to keep any secrets. So it's I'm trying to be as authentic as possible and then So you wanted people to know that you wanted to do that? I don't want to have any secrets. I got you. Okay, and Cuz it's like it would feel as if I was lying living a lie. I got you. No. So do you Do you own a gun? No. Do you have the ability to possess a gun? I mean so I was charged with a felony and two misdemeanors and they I think because of the protective order against my younger brother, they said that I couldn't own a gun. I don't know if that's still in place. I don't know if I'm on the They also added me to the domestic abuse list or whatever. So But no, I don't I don't I shoot pool. Okay. So when you made the comment about shooting up Meadowbrook >> I I should have probably specified that like I mean there's there's like like I when I was in jail the first time that I spoke to the public the friend I told her, "Hey, like I would have probably been the youngest school shooter." And she was like, "Yeah, there's a lot of people that have feelings like that." So I What would it do for you to >> No, I I should have probably just like given more information and like and like, "Hey, like this is cuz like I I don't exactly remember the post, but that There's no correct There's no right way where you should spoken. There's I should have definitely like spent more time kind of crafting that, making sure that it was more explainable that like, "Hey, this has to do from the past." Because there's another post that I made um that's dated like 7/15/2009, which is when I was at Meadowbrook where I it's handwritten. It's a page from my diary. It says um I think it starts with in 10 years I am mentally unstable. I might be a mass murderer. So that would be Sophia. And then it ends with cuz like someone said something to me. I didn't like it. I I go zero to 100 sometimes when like I I I'm very patient. I'm very you know, whatever, but like certain things get under like my father gets under my skin and then zero to 100, but like >> Do you live with your parents? No. So I moved back in with my dad parents in January. My dad left to Ukraine in April. He's back visiting. He He came back last week Friday. He's leaving tomorrow. So when my dad's around, I abuse the [ __ ] out of nicotine. Like I do the velo, the Zen. Like I do 9 mg both sides. I I smoke pot. I have my med card. Mhm. I uh if I can't have the money, I get like homeopathic uh stress lozenges from like um Earth Fare. I drink. I don't typically do any of that when he's not there, but he he It's like The crime that you would get me for is patricide. It wouldn't be mass murder. It wouldn't be a school shooting. It would be murdering him. Your father. >> My father. He deserves to die. Okay. >> He's a domestic abuser. And everyone in my family forgets. Okay. >> Because he's the breadwinner. He, you know, but he's authoritarian. He's controlling. He's sexist. He's narcissistic. And like you know, like teenagers have their rebellious phase and as as a teenager I just did that on my birthday this year in March because when I was younger I was very obedient. You know, honor your father and mother. I didn't I just read books. Do you feel like your anger like for instance the posts about the mass murder in the Meadowbrook Academy to >> I'm I'm trying to not post about my father because you know Do you feel like your anger towards is misdirected? >> have any anger towards him. That was just to get it out there. I have anger towards my father. Okay. Okay. Um so just so you're aware because of your post Are you okay? Yeah. He's leaving tomorrow. No, sorry. Today's Wednesday, correct? So he's leaving Friday. Mhm. And then um he he should be coming back in October. >> Mhm. But I've had like Does he know your feelings? Does he know that you feel that way about him? Like is he scared of you? He should be. No, he doesn't. Um I know that my older brother feels the same way about my father because my older brother himself has told me and then my younger brother uh apparently my older brother would have a lot of suicidal ideation and he would uh reach out to my younger brother for help. I was not aware of this. I only was became aware of it when I myself you know, my younger brother reached out to me. Mhm. And then uh he told my younger brother told me that my older brother also wanted to kill my father. Okay. So Have you Have you ever been Baker Acted before? No, but I definitely a lot of friends have been concerned about me, about my drinking. I used to be an alcoholic. I used to be a binge drinker and you know, they definitely I've been suicidal since I was 14. Mhm. But >> how is your um your drinking now? I mean I drink, but I I I have I definitely don't drink to black out like I used to. >> Okay. That was 2018. >> concern here and the reason that you're sitting in front of me right now >> posts. Right. I'm concerned about the students and the the people at that school and what your intent is to harm them. >> Okay. It's like my father but like my you know He's going to be gone. I'm interviewing. I'm leaving the state and then >> You're leaving the state? Where are you going? Uh I'm interviewing So I don't know I don't like the heat. I was born in and like I get heat stroke. I got you. So like I'm leaving I told the recruiters uh north of So I've interviewed with and Recruiters for what? Uh CPA Oh. I'm a public accountant. I have my master's in accounting as a specialization in taxation. So um Cuz like I like the cold and I need to I can't live on my because patricide is is the one crime that like cuz like he he raises his voice at me. I know and it's like I was in a domestic abuse situation for 3 years. Okay. So like I I I So with this situation today, which is the reason that we're here. I don't want you to focus so much on your father cuz I don't want you to you know, derail your emotions. Let's focus on what we can control in this moment and that's what we need to talk about, okay? So maybe try to exit your mind away from your feelings about your father. You can do that? Yeah. And focus back on the reason that we're here. Yeah. Okay. Um so the school had to Are you okay? >> Yeah. I want you to open your eyes. Okay. Yeah. Cuz you're you're really focusing on that and and I don't want you to get upset about something that Yeah, it isn't even here and it's >> It's an issue that's going away. >> Right. Right. So let's let's focus on what we can control right now. Um so with your father out of the picture do you foresee these continuing posts and threats Do you you see them continuing? >> No, that's about the furthest that the threats are going to go. Okay. >> Cuz like Roxana would be a mass murderer and then Sophia would be a school shooter and then Do you control these? Do you control these? >> in con- complete conscious control. I used to um like switch identities and then not be in control, but that uh I've been kind of like the more that I understood like where what trauma specifically created them cuz it's it's a fragmentation of the psyche. Mhm. So, I as I've kind of been posting and I've been scrolling back through my posts and I cuz like I also don't really have that good of a memory because like the identities they used to not speak to each other. So, we were kind of strangers. Mhm. So, I'm kind of like getting them all back and bringing them to full consciousness and full awareness and full Have you ever acted out on what your other personalities wanted? >> the um the psychosis when I smoked something from the street, I thought that my inner brother was and the refugee was trying to kill me and that's why I attacked him with a kitchen knife. It was killer be killed, but I So, there is >> something that was laced or like K2 or spice. So, like typi- like I don't do substances that I can't control myself on. >> is a possibility that these alter If I smoke something off the street that's like if it's if there's fentanyl in there, if there's other things in there that That's why I'm sticking to the sponsor cuz I have my med card. Do you understand how that could be concerning if if Sophia had the feelings of wanting to shoot up Meadowbrook and there is a possibility that you could act on what she's telling you? They don't tell me to do anything. They're they're like suggestions. Suggestions? Yeah. Okay. >> There's no like no one controls anyone. Okay. Um so, because of the post that you made this morning and the post about the mass murder that was made yesterday. Um the school was was locked down today. Yes. Yeah. And we had officers there you know, and >> definitely don't think that they're wrong. Right. So, we had to disrupt the school function in order to make sure everybody was safe cuz I don't know you. Yeah. >> I don't know what you're capable of. >> Yeah. You know, and and those are people's children. >> Of course. Yeah. And and that's a that's a grave concern for anyone. Yeah, there's too many school shootings like there's definitely cuz mental illness isn't understood. Like I understand school shooters because I would be one. It's I what I think it is is I think it's people who have been seriously bullied, specifically people who have quiet borderline who likely all have dissociative identity disorder who they reach through breaking and bullying point and instead of turning that explosiveness internally on themselves, they turn it out externally. And because it is considered to be the most painful personality disorder to live with like they have a 20 year less life expectancy than anyone else. >> Is that from self-harm? So, quiet borderline you mean Yeah, they they They said they they're less likely >> do self-harm a lot, you know, they they're used typically kill themselves especially with dissociative. So, that's that's probably where the school shooters are coming from. That's they probably are bullied, completely misunderstood and then they just snap and unfortunately in that moment like their entire life So, for me I've had it since I was since I was a year and a half. So, that's 28 and a half years of internal explosiveness. Does this school have anything to worry about with you? >> No. No. What about your high school? What high school did you go to? >> Westpark. No, nothing wrong with it. Okay. But just the fact that it was a Christian, that's Well, no, it's just that's that's when I made that post in my or that diary entry where in 10 years I'm going to be unstable and maybe a mass murderer. I was going to school there at that time and then that's also the first time I made a post in my diary about being suicidal. Okay. >> So, And you're saying that was in 2009? >> So, the the homicidal post was 2009, the suicidal post I don't know if it was before or after, but it was while I was on meds. So, I don't know I something about my I my identities didn't like. Okay. Um I mean your your statements are concerning. >> Yeah. I mean I agree. Both on social media and in here in person. You saying that you you know, you believe that you would be a school shooter. That's that's a concerning statement. >> No, I I would have been back in the day, but I didn't do it because uh I think I was homicidal first and then I became suicidal, but like I didn't really What quiet borderline is it's it's very very very high emotions, very low action. So, I've been suicidal since I was 14, but I only attempted suicide for the first time last year on May 10th. Okay, so So, as as far as I understand you said it's high emotions, low actions, but you did act on it one time. So, if these are based off of emotions Right. >> if these are based off of emotion, there is a potential that you could act on them because you have the floor. Well, so the reason that I tried to kill myself is because I hadn't slept in a week. I'm driving down from which is my ex-fiance and we drove down. I can't you know, I had I've slept 8 hours in like a week. So, I can't >> you see what I'm saying with you saying that there's a potential >> you need a lot of like action. >> Which which is concerning. It's concerning cuz there's innocent people potentially at schools and with your statement of these are high emotions that you're feeling about wanting to do mass murders or school shootings. No, there's no emotions to them anymore. It's just they're just facts. It's just it's for Right now, it's all intellectual. All the emotions are gone. If I wanted to kill myself, I stopped wanting to kill myself for What was the emotion that Sophia was feeling this morning when she posted >> emotion. That wasn't Sophia. That was Oxana speaking for Sophia because Sophia would never admit to that. Okay, so >> Oxana is completely neutral. Okay. So, what was >> no That was just making sure that Sophia is expressed to her most authentic cuz she would never admit to that. So, there was no emotion attached to the post made this morning? No. Why why would she want that expressed? I mean I guess I could have kept it a secret. It doesn't like it doesn't really like I guess certain secrets can't be kept. Cuz they you know, it's cons- The reason I ask is cuz When I when I told the public defender, she said that like a lot of people feel like that. She was more understanding. Okay. I get what you're saying about the feelings of wanting >> she understood like it from a more psychological perspective. I got you. So, it was it was just trying to show that like, "Hey, even people who might think heinous things like self-control." You do feel like you have self-control? >> Yeah. No. That was completely neutral post. Okay. Okay. Um so, just so >> Like you you you You You've seen where I show emotion. I'm sorry? You've seen where I show emotion. It's towards my father. It's not towards Yeah. >> Yeah. And that's only because of the close proximity because he's been blocked since April because I poured out my entire heart and then he he just he's just like Okay. Again, let's not let's not focus on anything else cuz it's not going to It's not going to help. >> Yeah. You all right? Yeah. Okay, so I have the screenshots of the Facebook post. And we like I said we sent a request to Meta >> Meta, yeah. giving us information that it is your account. >> Mhm. Following the interview, the woman was charged with written threat to conduct a mass shooting, a felony under Florida law. Police say the post, which named Meadowbrook Academy, prompted an immediate investigation. Authorities emphasize that threats involving schools are treated as serious criminal offenses.
