All three took off, but Trooper Bird locked onto the last one and went after it without hesitation. One of the 28 out of 64 Henry Aim 64H. We got a white one. We're all pulling into the circle. [Music] Okay. We are going west on 60. Last on 60. Speed's over. Still west. It didn't take long for Trooper Bird to catch up. And once he's behind you, it's game over. [Music] There's a gate at the end of this and he's coming back out of it. I'll just clear my car. [Music] Hands straight up. Your hands down. The suspect learned the hard way who Trooper Jacob Bird is. His car was completely wrecked and just one look at the tire said it all. He was arrested and taken into custody without further incident. The driver of a white Audi was enjoying a late night ride and pushing way over the speed limit. What he didn't notice was the patrol car he flew past. And that patrol car just happened to be trooper Jacob Bird. Bird activated his lights and sirens to conduct a stop. The driver slowed down like he was about to pull over, but he never stopped. And Trooper Bird gave a chase. [Music] Fly traffic Hamilton. Go down. [Music] As the chase progressed, Trooper Bird closed the distance and deployed a GPS dart, successfully attaching it to the suspect's car. From that point on, he could have backed off and let the system track the suspect down, but Trooper Bird chose to keep going and finish the job himself. [Music] Sergeant with the CPS 440 mile. Can't wait to [Music] take you guys. [Music] As the chase entered a construction zone, the suspect managed to gain some distance, but Bird quickly closed the gap. What kind of speed did you travel now? Where are you? exit the door. If you can end it out before they get to the state line. After the woman lost a tire, Trooper Bird was ready to end it right then, but others advised waiting, thinking she might pull over. However, as the chase went on, it became clear that she had no intention of stopping. Wait, got to take a 64D. 27. Are they Is it over or are they still in pursuit? Trooper Bird has dealt with plenty of fast supercars in the past and stopped them with ease. And this was just another day at the office for the legend. The woman was taken out of the vehicle, arrested, and taken into custody without further incident. In this video, you'll see who Jacob Bird really is and why so many look up to him. It was January 16th, 2025 when he stopped a vehicle for driving with a defective headlight. The driver pulled over and trooper bird approached the vehicle and gave him the lesson of his life. How's it going, man? What's up, man? Hey, I'm Bird State Police. Will you roll that window up? Good. Yeah, just so I can make you easier. You're good, man. Hey, don't trip police. Reason I stopped because you got a headlight out. Yeah. Okay. Okay. All right. Second thing is, uh, when you were in the far left lane coming up behind me, you jump to the middle lane, immediately jump to the right lane. Just you you can't go from the left lane and just smooth across all the way to the next the the far right lane. You can't do that. Maintain the lane you're in. Make sure it's safe to merge. Merge over to that lane. Maintain that lane. Make sure it's safe to merge again. And then do it so forth and so forth. Does that make sense? You have a driver's license on you. Do it right now. Hey, do me a favor. Just stay right here since you have a driver's license on or an ID on you. I said just step back here and talk to me. No. What's the probable cause? Relax. Okay. Step back cuz you don't have an ID on it. That's all. I'm just going to pat you down. Make sure you have Keep your hands up. Sit back with you. The trooper placed the driver in his patrol car so he could search the vehicle after noticing a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside. That smell was all the probable cause he needed. baggies. This a road, huh? Bird found bags of illegal substances, a scale, and a firearm inside the vehicle. He then transported the driver to the station and made sure he called his mom. From that point on, you'll see who the real Trooper Bird is and why he's not just a good cop, but a genuinely, really good person. Is this Miss uh Marva? It is. Hey, this is Trooper Bird with Arkansas State Police. How are you? Good news. Uh Khil's Khil's safe. He's not hurt or anything. I just stopped him on a traffic stop and he I've got him. He's arrested. I'm going to be booking him into this uh Cla County Jail down here off Roosevelt. Okay. And I'm going to let him talk to you and let him decide if he wants to tell you that. Okay. Clear? What's going on? I got pulled over some weed. And you were supposed to been at at work, right? I'm I was I was trying to get out the egg discovery. No, you supposed to been there. So that means you can right do the right thing. That's what you supposed and you wouldn't even supposed to have no weed. What is the problem? What is what is going on with you? Nothing. So you know you're you're probably there for the weekend. You know I'm leaving this morning. I'm not going to be there to hold your hand and do any of that. I can't do it because obviously this is the life that you've chosen for yourself. I'm highly disappointed in you. After he spoke to his mom, Trooper Bird took the time to give this man the advice of his life. He didn't just let him go. And listen to me, and I'm being serious, okay? I'm 10 years older than you. And whether you take this conversation and change your life, I don't know. I pray you do. I'm a man of faith and I I believe that the Lord placed me where I was and placed you where you were at this point in time in your life in hopes that I can have a conversation and change your life around. That conversation that I just heard between you and your mom, that is a mother that cares for her kid. You know how many times I've called parents and the parents find out they had that their kid had dope and a gun on them or they were running from us and they had a gun and the parent on speaker has asked the kid why they didn't run on foot and throw the gun away. I'm saying those parent those those parents don't care for their kids. That right there is a mother that cares for you. You know, you might feel disappointed right now and as you should, but as a man, there's a point in time where you're as while you're growing up, your mindset has to flip and change and quit thinking about yourself and thinking about your family. The last thing I'm trying to do is see you go down this path of life while having a family that cares for you and basically just it all away because of the life choices you're making that don't have to be made. And again, man, if this conversation goes in one ear, out the other, that's on you. But at least I can say that this profession I feel called and led to by the Lord, I have tried to make a difference in your life in this moment that I was blessed to be in. After that, you simply can't hate this guy. All we can say is we need more cops like him and more people like him in this world. The driver was identified as Khalil Washington and was charged with a seat belt violation, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper lane change, and defective lights. It was March 4th, 2025 when Trooper Bird spotted a gray Toyota Avalon on I430 with no rear plate and failing to stay in its lane. No traffic right now. Nobody left. He just crashed out. Just crashed out before. Safe coach. Black male, red pants, white shirt. He's running into the woods. After the driver ran into the woods and gained distance, Trooper Bird chose not to pursue blindly and waited for backup. He secured the vehicle and found THC wax and the suspect's phone inside. With help from LRPD and NLRPD, a perimeter was set and a K9 unit and drone were used to search the area. Despite multiple sweeps, the suspect was not found. However, his identity was confirmed through records and appearance and warrants are being pursued for fleeing, drug possession, reckless driving, and several traffic violations. It was June 27th, 2023 when Trooper Bird was notified about an ongoing pursuit involving a black Mustang. As expected, Bird responded immediately and joined the chase just 7 minutes later. [Music] 3 minutes down the water. As the chase progressed, the suspect pushed the Mustang to over 150 mph. Luckily, there weren't many cars on the road at the time because with speeds like that, things could have gotten extremely dangerous if traffic had been heavier. Heat. Heat. I know I know I know trooper executed a pit at over 100 mph, causing the Mustang to roll over multiple times before coming to a stop. Troopers quickly approached the wreck and found the suspect unconscious. EMS was called immediately. Tragically, the suspect later died from his injuries at the hospital. On January 30th, 2025, Arkansas State Trooper Jacob Bird joined a high-speed pursuit of David Simon, who was driving a black GMC Sierra at over 95 mph. Shortly after joining the chase, Bird took over as the primary unit. 9 has five strips and four unit set up at [Music] Hey guys, we got a trooper behind us.
