It was just past 11:30 p.m. on November 27th when the Grant County Sheriff's Office requested backup for a pursuit in progress. A dark colored Dodge Challenger had blown past deputies on Interstate 530, showing no signs of slowing down. That's when Arkansas State Police joined in. With the suspect barreling northbound toward the I30 at dangerous speeds, it was only a matter of time before this chase would need to be stopped. One way or another. [Music] on 300 traffic. When a trooper attempts a pit at 140 mph, it's clear they're not here to play games. But somehow that message didn't quite reach the fleeing driver who kept pushing forward like nothing was happening behind him. 38 approaching the north interchange. Speed 132. CVR side. CVR side. But before the car even came to a full stop, the driver flung the door open and made a run for it. Wearing a white shirt with green sleeves, he leapt over the guardrail and vanished into the nearby streets of Little Rock. The vehicle's registered owner was sitting in the passenger seat, but refused to cooperate or identify the fleeing driver. With one suspect on the run and little help from the passenger, troopers were left with a crash, a foot pursuit, and more questions than answers. On August 2nd, 2021, just before sunrise, a Georgia state trooper cruising westbound on I20 was passed like he was standing still by a blue Camaro flying down the left lane at over 100 mph. What started as a routine patrol turned into a high-speed pursuit of a reckless driver in a stolen car. And this suspect had no intention of giving up quietly. Attempted bit. Getting off the 25. Not clear. Get out of the car. Get out of the car. Get on the ground. Get on the ground now. Get on the ground. I'm going to shoot you. >> Just as the trooper closed the distance, he didn't hesitate. slamming straight into the fleeing vehicle at high speed. The suspect bailed out and tried to run, but troopers were already on him and there was nowhere left to go. >> Straight up. >> Show me your head. >> Lay on the ground now. >> Get on the ground. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I don't want to hang. What's wrong? >> You know what's wrong? >> I was walking with that lady. What's wrong? >> No, you wasn't. >> I was. >> No, you wasn't. Stand up. Come on. >> What is wrong with y'all? >> Come on, man. That area for no reason. >> I don't have nothing on me. >> Nearby Villa Rica officers took him into custody. The Camaro was later confirmed to be stolen from a dealership. Now facing a list of charges and a total car, Wyatt's early morning joy ride came with a serious reality check. In the early hours of August 2nd, Clayton County deputies were patrolling the Conley area when a familiar sight caught their attention. A vehicle reported stolen just hours earlier. The driver merged onto Interstate 285, unaware that elite Blackhawk units were right behind him. When deputies initiated a stop, the suspect hit the gas, triggering a pursuit that wouldn't last long. Pursuit Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. As traffic thickened ahead, the suspect didn't back down. Swerving across lanes at high speed, refusing to slow for anyone, he made it clear he had no intention of stopping. That's when troopers knew this was the real deal, and it was about to get even more dangerous. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Pit, pit, pit. Woo! Crash into the wall. Crash to the wall. We're right before the terror. First off, the trooper's reaction here is priceless. The suspect was stopped and arrested without further incident, then taken into custody. And in a twist of pure irony, he told deputies he thought Clayton County had a no chase policy that he could just ride off into the moonlight and get away. He couldn't have been more wrong than that. On July 8th, 2023, a gray Ford Mustang was spotted flying down Highway 365, pushing 100 mph, and Conway police were in hot pursuit. As traffic weaved out of the way and speeds climbed dangerously high, Arkansas State Police were called in to assist. When the Mustang entered I40, troopers wasted no time. They intercepted the chase at mile marker 127 and took over with one mission to shut it down before someone got hurt. But officers from multiple agencies swarmed the scene and quickly caught the driver. Derek Blevens along with his passenger Shelby Hoffman. Meth was recovered from the roadside and both suspects were taken into custody. Blevins is now facing a long list of charges including felony fleeing, tampering with evidence meth possession, and false imprisonment. From tripledigit speeds to a foot pursuit across the interstate, this was one Mustang ride that ended in cuffs. On October 3rd, 2024, Arkansas State Police clocked a tan SUV flying down Highway 18 at 90 mph, 30 over the limit. When trooper Todd Harris tried to stop the vehicle near Leechville, the driver hit the gas. What followed was a chaotic high-speed pursuit with one trooper injured. [Music] The suspect identified as Rashune Garry was arrested and taken into custody after a shortfoot pursuit. He was checked by medics and then booked into the Craighead County Jail. He now faces felony fleeing and battery charges. And with a $75,000 cashonly bond, the judge made one thing clear. You don't put troopers in danger and walk away like nothing happened. On April 7th, 2024, an Arkansas State Trooper sat stationary when a white SUV came blazing past, well above the posted speed limit. With no hesitation, the trooper shifted into drive, flipped on his lights and sirens, and gave chase. But the moment the SUV driver spotted the patrol car in his rear view mirror, she hit the gas even harder. What started as a speeding violation turned into a full-blown pursuit. your bike. On August 25th, 2024, an FHP trooper was patrolling State Road 836 when he clocked a white Chevy tracks slicing through traffic at 91 mph. He pulled the vehicle over and identified the driver as Shaun Anthony Guer. What was supposed to be a routine stop turned into anything but routine. >> I apologize. I'm trying to get to my grandma right right now. Wait, your driver's license on you? >> Yo, hold on, bro. You pulled over. >> Yo, I am pulled over. Give me a whiskey. Any medical marijuana? Have any medical marijuana inside the vehicle? >> After detecting a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle, the trooper ordered the driver to step out, but the man refused to comply, ignoring the warning signs. The decision he made would come to regret just moments later. 87 [Music] Alpha Let me see your hand. Let me see your hand. Let me see your hand. Let me see. >> Step out, bro. >> What else can you do but give credit to this trooper who got back in his patrol car and had the suspect stopped in under a minute. No backup needed, no hesitation. The driver, Shawn Guerrero, was arrested on the spot and taken into custody without further incident. He's now facing serious charges. Possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, fleeing and eluding and unlawful use of a communication device. On May 14th, 2022, a high-speed pursuit that began in Smyrna quickly escalated as it tore through the heart of Atlanta. Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol were called in to assist. On November 5th, 2024, officers in Tallahassee were alerted to a stolen Mitsubishi speeding south on Rich View Road. Minutes later, a responding trooper spotted the vehicle flying down Appalache Parkway, recklessly merging onto the highway at dangerous speed. What followed was a fastmoving, unpredictable pursuit through busy city streets. >> 67 search. Oh my god. better stop. The trooper didn't just stop the suspect, he spun him like a record after slamming into the vehicle, the two locked bumpers and went for a dizzying ride. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation and later booked into Lyon County Jail. With teamwork and quick thinking, this high-risk pursuit was brought to a safe and decisive end. On April 25th, 2021, Georgia State Patrol received a tip about a stolen Isuzu NPR landscape truck headed toward Atlanta. As troopers from Troop B and C zeroed in near Fulton Street, the suspect spotted them and took off. Unpredictable, desperate, and willing to do whatever it took to escape. For troopers, options were running thin. But if they could just get a stretch of open road, they'd have the perfect chance to set up their go-to move and end this pursuit before it ended in catastrophe. >> Atlanta [Music] [Music] I'll stand by the US. stand. >> The trooper jumped out, weapon drawn, and approached the overturned vehicle.
