Hello and welcome back to another episode of Dark Realities. It's me. Today's video is going to be a very gruesome one, so viewer discretion is advised. We are going to be discussing one of the most horrific things that I have ever seen in a while, but also something that's fascinating about how this man's mind worked. This man was a filmmaker who decided to make his own snuff film. He went all out and even built himself a kill room. Let's get into it. Mark Twitchell was born in 1984 in Edmonton, Canada. From a young age, he had an interest in film making and making snuff films. When he was just 13 years old, he made a snuff film with some of his friends. They lured a girl into the basement of one of the friend's houses and bound her to a chair. Then they proceeded to beat her and cut her with a knife. The girl was only an extra in the film, and the actual snuff was filmed elsewhere. Mark posted this snuff online where he used the alias John Wayne. When Mark was 19, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in filmm. In LA, he met many like-minded people who shared the same interests as him. While in LA, Mark made a few more snuff films, but it's unknown how many people lost their lives. After being arrested for credit card fraud, Mark moved back to Canada where he began working as a filmmaker and model. He started his own company called Twisted Helix Productions. In 2008, he married a woman named Anna. They lived together in a house in Sherwood Park, Alberta. The house had a basement that Mark converted into a makeshift movie studio. But there was one very sinister thing in the basement. Behind a false wall was a locked six-foot deep pit filled with spikes. Mark referred to this as his kill room. In September of 2008, Mark posted a video online showing the construction of his kill room. On October 19th, 2008, Mark was finally finished with his magnumopus. He posted a video of it online. In the video, we see Mark dressed as an executioner. He explained in the video that the girl was being punished for stealing from him, so he was going to execute her. He then takes off the girl's clothes and ties her to the spiked ball. He also taped her mouth shut and put a blindfold over her eyes. He then left the girl in the kill room overnight. The next day, Mark returned to the kill room with a meat cleaver. He cut off the girl's head and then dismembered her. He filmed the entire thing and posted it online. The girl in the video is not known for sure, but it is assumed that it was Anna, Mark's wife. A few days later, Mark posted another video online. This time, it was him standing next to a suitcase filled with body parts. He said in the video that the girl in the previous video was his wife, Anna, and that she had been cheating on him. He said that he had no other choice but to kill her. He then cut the video off by holding up a bloody meat cleaver. On November 4th, 2008, Mark was arrested at an internet cafe. He was wearing a bulletproof vest and had several weapons on him. His computer had many gruesome images on it. He also had a list of names of people he wanted to kill. After being found guilty of secondderee murder, Mark was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of peril after 10 years. Now, I want to hear from you guys.
