[Music] On September 15th, 2022, Trooper Bird was on patrol when he spotted a truck that raised suspicions. He ran the plates and realized they didn't match the vehicle, later discovering it was stolen. When Bird tried to pull the truck over, the driver made it clear he had no intention of stopping. Passing on his shoulder. [Music] The number one lane pass speeds 110 traffic. 98. The suspect drove recklessly, showing zero regard for the safety of others on the road. Trooper Bird stayed right behind him, just waiting for the right moment to bring this chase to an end. Over 71 radio traffic out 86 107. Wow, what just happened there? Trooper Bird saw his opportunity and didn't hold back, executing a pit that sent the suspect into the median and across to the other side of the road. Backup units quickly moved in, cutting off any chance of a foot escape and taking the suspect into custody. Trooper Bird has pulled off some wild pits, but this one is definitely one to remember. The Dodge Charger is probably the most common car involved in chases. And that was the case on November 27th, 2022 when Trooper Bird spotted a black Charger driving recklessly and doing donuts at an intersection. When Bird tried to pull him over, the driver did what every other Charger driver seems to do. He hit the gas and fled, kicking off a high-speed pursuit. [Music] We're going east. Just some kind of terrible. Still he's done a pass bike. Speed 9 and 80. [Music] Stay straight on the right. [Music] [Music] Avenue. When Trooper Bird tried to close the gap, the suspect hit the gas again, but a little too hard, sending the Charger off the road and straight into a tree. Bird jumped out of his patrol car and quickly took the suspect into custody, bringing this wild chase to an abrupt end. The Hernando Dysoto Bridge, where this pursuit started, is one of the busiest bridges in the southern United States, carrying tens of thousands of vehicles every day. And on November 28th, 2023, Trooper Bird was responding to a welfare concern on that very bridge when he noticed a white Chevrolet Impala fly past him on I40, doing over 90 m hour in a 65 zone. When Bird tried to pull the driver over, the suspect kept weaving through traffic, ignoring lights and sirens and making it clear a high-speed chase was on. Go ahead. Uh 1037 Mark [Applause] TV on the bridge. Take out. [Music] Keep your hands up or I'll shoot you. Keep your hands up. Keep your hands up. Turn around. Turn around. Walk back to me. Don't Don't reach. Keep your hands on your head. Keep your hands on your head. Do you hear me? Driving with an open container like the Colt 45 found in this car is a quick way to get your license suspended in many states, including Arkansas. After crashing into a concrete divider, the suspect identified as Michael Marquee McCall was taken into custody. call blew a 0.14 on a portable breath test and admitted he didn't have VA paperwork for the vehicle which also had no insurance and wasn't registered to him. He was booked into the Kittinden County Jail on multiple charges including felony fleeing, DWI open container, reckless driving, and no insurance. This is probably the worst way to fail at impressing your girlfriend. On July 9th, 2022, Trooper Bird spotted a Dodge Charger blowing past the speed limit. He quickly moved in behind the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver didn't hesitate and the pursuit quickly spiraled out of control. South [Music] [Music] Sorry. Past 36. The passenger could be seen sticking his hands out of the window, maybe trying to signal he wanted out, but the driver wasn't stopping, pushing the Charger over 100 mph. The suspect was making this pursuit more dangerous by the second. But if there's one thing we know, it's that a chase is in safe hands when Trooper Bird is involved. [Music] Uh we just turned right to go back on stage speed 80 light traffic. [Music] He's trying to get into 37. [Music] Show me your hand. If there's one thing that's become a constant in these chases, it's how quickly Trooper Bird shuts them down. The way he brings these pursuits to an end is absolutely incredible. Right now. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Right now. I want to get out. I want to get out. Quit talking. Keep your hands up. I just p them out at Lane Park. All you had to do is stop and take a ticket. Now you're going to jail. Walk back. Walk back. Walk back. Get ready. Step out. Stace away from me. Face away from me. Trooper Bird arrested all the occupants and took them into custody, bringing this wild chase to an end. On January 11th, 2025, Trooper Bird attempted to stop a Nissan for blowing through multiple traffic control devices on Interstate 55. But the second bird hit the lights and sirens, the driver hit the gas, making the biggest mistake of his life. Heat. Heat. It just hit right there. Right there. He's still in in reverse. The suspect made a critical mistake and basically stopped himself. Trooper Bird was furious over the suspect's decision to run instead of just pulling over. And you can hear it in his voice. Put your hands out the window. Stand up. Face away from me. Stand up and show your hands. Are you the only person inside the car? Yes, sir. Stand up. Face away from me. Face away from me. Face away from me. Put your hands up. Walk back to me. Stop. Stop. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. And unfortunately for him, he just learned the hard way why Trooper Jacob Bird is one of the most feared troopers on the road. Failing to wear a seat belt is one of the most common traffic violations, but adding high speeds and no insurance can quickly turn a minor stop into a major chase. On February 22nd, 2025, trooper Bird was patrolling I 630 near University Avenue when he spotted a gold Honda Accord with no insurance and both occupants unbuckled. When Bird tried to pull them over, the driver hit the gas, pushing the speeds into the 80s and refusing to yield, turning a simple traffic stop into a full-blown pursuit. Watch watch. [Music] [Applause] Watch. Flash work. [Applause] [ __ ] up. Get on the ground. Bird moved in and executed a precise TVI, sending the car into a concrete barrier. The passenger, Cameron Carson, jumped out holding a rifle and a backpack, tossing them over the barrier before fleeing on foot. He was later caught by responding troopers near a hospital exit ramp. Inside the tossed backpack, troopers found about 5.5 ounces of marijuana, a Diamondback AR-15. The driver, Nendra Gordon, and passenger Cameron Carson were both arrested and hit with a long list of charges, including felony fleeing, reckless driving, drug possession, and violating a protection order. In this video, you'll see exactly why keeping your pants up is a good idea if you plan on fleeing on foot. On May 16th, 2022 in Little Rock, Arkansas, Trooper Bird tried to stop a vehicle from making unsafe lane changes, but when he hit the lights and sirens, the driver took off, kicking off a pursuit. 8 knots 1037 Arkansas 1 30 seconds. Come on. Stand up. All right, let's go. Who is that? Come on. After skidding into a concrete barrier and slamming into a train crossing, the driver bailed out only to fall and roll into the tree line three times in just a few seconds. I don't know about you guys, but that got me laughing. Both the driver and passenger were arrested later that night, and Trooper Bird recovered a handgun from the passenger. On March 1st, 2025, Trooper Bird attempted to pull over a Chrysler 300. The driver initially pulled to the side, but seconds later hit the gas and fled, kicking off a high-speed pursuit. 1037, we're taking [Music] rock with a black male with a hoodie. Catching the suspect after a short sprint, the suspect was hit with a long list of charges, including felony fleeing, possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, and driving on a suspended license. On January 6th, 2023, a guy from Arkansas was driving his girlfriend's car when he blew past Trooper Bird, well over the posted speed limit. Bird ran the plates and realized they didn't match the vehicle, so he hit the lights and sirens and pulled the driver over. Hey there. My door don't work, sir. That's fine. Do me a favor. Put your hands on the steering wheel. Don't move. [Applause] Don't move your heads. Probably the worst decision he could have made was trying to run from Trooper Bird. Maybe he didn't know who he was dealing with, but he was about to find out. Get back on 630 West. [Music] We're off break. [Music] [Music] We're now in the parking garage. We're in the parking garage going back toward target. He came out. Despite the suspect's dangerous driving and extreme sharp turns, Trooper Bird stayed right on his tail. Get your on the ground. Get on the ground. No, you're not. Get on the ground. I got one black running. The suspect bailed out and tried to flee on foot, but Trooper Bird deployed his taser, bringing him down instantly. He was taken into custody, and the chase came to an end. Safe to say he just learned the hard way why running from Trooper Bird is never a good idea.
