This is probably the worst way to fail at impressing your girlfriend. On July 9th, 2022, Trooper Bird spotted a Dodge Charger blowing past the speed limit. He quickly moved in behind the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver didn't hesitate and the pursuit quickly spiraled out of control. 19 South [Music] [Music] Pass 36. Thanks. [Music] [Music] headed toward Got a front right passenger. The passenger could be seen sticking his hands out of the window, maybe trying to signal he wanted out, but the driver wasn't stopping. Pushing the Charger over 100 mph, the suspect was making this pursuit more dangerous by the second. But if there's one thing we know, it's that a chase is in safe hands when Trooper Bird is involved. [Music] Uh, we just turned right to go back on stage. Speed 80 traffic. He's [Music] trying to get into a neighborhood back to speed. [Music] Show me your hand. If there's one thing that's become a constant in these chases, it's how quickly Trooper Bird shuts them down. The way he brings these pursuits to an end is absolutely incredible. Right now. Yes, sir. Right now. I want to get out. I want to get out. Quit talking. Keep your hands up. I just p him out at lane hard. All you had to do is stop and take a ticket. Now you're going to jail. Before we continue, make sure to hit that subscribe button as 92% of you watching still aren't subscribed. Let's fix that. On March 5th, 2024, Little Rock police attempted to stop a stolen white Nissan Altea. The vehicle briefly pulled over, then suddenly took off, kicking off a dangerous high-speed pursuit through the city. 19th Street, we occupied a black male with a white beard. [Applause] 440 eastbound. Get back on the ramp. The suspect blew through a red light, narrowly avoiding a crash just seconds before the legend himself, Trooper Bird, took over the pursuit as the primary unit. Trying to get around the street. Yeah. All right. I'm number two now. Central, get ready. TBR, TV, TV. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go. Wow, that escalated fast. Let's switch angles and see how it all unfolded from the troopers point of view. Trooper Bird sent the suspect straight into the ditch, disabling the vehicle. Seconds later, troopers and Little Rock officers swarmed in, taking the driver into custody without further incident. Get out. Get out the door. Stay back. Get your ass on the ground. Get on the ground. I got him. Taking him in the cuff. Car's clear. Get on your face. Get your hand out from underneath you. 1051. LRPD took custody of the suspect and filed multiple charges, including felony fleeing, theft of property between $5,000 and $25,000, and having an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. The Dodge Charger from Arkansas had managed to escape seven times from Arkansas State Troopers, earning a reputation across the country as the undefeated Dodge Charger. But in those seven pursuits, one name was missing. That's trooper Jacob Bird. This time, Bird knew exactly who he was dealing with, and from the moment the chase began, he locked in trying to stop this undefeated suspect. [Music] [Music] for Challenger and Charger. 32 I don't know speed about 140 line 14. The suspect pushed the Charger to 150 mph, but Trooper Bird was right behind him. never letting him out of his sight for a second. [Music] Victor Lincoln had Lincoln. Stay with the charter. 30 37 right there. Eastbound coming up to the river bridge. 97 mph. That way 97 mph bridge up to the river bridge back 127. As the suspect started driving even faster, it looked like he might outrun Trooper Bird. But then he took an exit and had to slow down near an intersection. And that one mistake was all Bird needed. [Music] Sorry. Okay. Put your hands up. Put your hands up. Put your hands up. Put the car apart. Roll your window down. Roll your window. Put the car apart. Turn the car off. Put the hands up. Stop. Stop. Be quiet. Be quiet. Okay. Keep them. Keep your hands on the roof back. Pastor, do you hear me? Is there a guy behind you also? There's only three. You keep your hands up. Get out of the car. Let's go. Come on. And now the Charger is finally defeated. Trooper Bird managed to stop the suspect, arrest him, and take him into custody. Considering his history of escaping in previous chases, there's a good chance he won't be getting out of jail anytime soon. On June 30th, 2022, while on patrol, Trooper Bird spotted a white Dodge Challenger RT with black stripes, previously seen speeding. When Trooper Bird caught up and activated his lights and sirens, the driver made his intentions clear by flooring it. And just like that, the pursuit was on. 131 continuing across the track. [Music] South service. [Music] Continuing straight back [Music] on 30 eastbound power. The chase quickly escalated onto the highway where the driver pushed the Challenger past 130 mph, turning an already dangerous situation into a high-speed threat to everyone on the road. [Music] A14 [Music] taking four more east. The chase spiraled out of control as the suspect drove like he had nothing to lose. Trooper Bird was doing everything he could to gain control, but if there's one trooper built for this kind of chaos, it's him. One back here [Music] pass. Now the bushel [Music] When the suspect took the next exit and approached the intersection at high speed, it all went downhill from there. 440. He just crashed in front of cat. Show me your hands now. Get on the ground. I'm not playing. Get on the ground. Yeah. On the ground. The suspect crashed into a ditch and came to a stop. Thanks to the trooper's quick reaction, he was out of the car in seconds and stopped the suspect before he could run. The driver was arrested without further incident. We don't have more details on his charges yet, but what do you think the punishment should be? Let us know in the comments. The driver of a white Audi was enjoying a late night ride and pushing way over the speed limit. What he didn't notice was the patrol car he flew past and that patrol car just happened to be trooper Jacob Bird. Bird activated his lights and sirens to conduct a stop. The driver slowed down like he was about to pull over, but he never stopped. And Trooper Bird gave a chase. Lift over the roadway traffic. Scott Hamilton. Scott Hamilton. Second time. [Music] As the chase progressed, Trooper Bird closed the distance and deployed a GPS dart, successfully attaching it to the suspect's car. From that point on, he could have backed off and let the system track the suspect down, but Trooper Bird chose to keep going and finish the job himself. [Music] And I have a firefighter model. Ready? [Music] There you go. [Music] As the chase entered a construction zone, the suspect managed to gain some distance, but Bird quickly closed the gap. That's probably when the suspect realized exactly who he was dealing with, because out of nowhere, he just slowed down. He's on the right side. Turning left. He's coming to the south. Turn left on to West H Avenue. [Music] Show me your hand. The suspect was taken out of the vehicle and arrested without incident. Alexander Police Department responded to the scene and took custody of the suspect, transporting him to the Saline County Jail. The Dodge Charger is probably the most common car involved in chases, and that was the case on November 27th, 2022 when Trooper Bird spotted a black Charger driving recklessly and doing donuts at an intersection. When Bird tried to pull him over, the driver did what every other Charger driver seems to do. He hit the gas and fled, kicking off a high-speed pursuit. [Music] We're going east. Still eastbound on Asher pass speed 9 eastbound. [Music] This thing is strangled right out of the right. [Music] [Music] The suspect pushed the Charger to over 130 mph, which is absolutely insane considering the area where the pursuit was unfolding. Rag 092 Edward 092 [Music] [Music] Nice. [Music] Rocking on secondary temp. He just crashed out. Still be right. We're stuck here. Show your hands. When Trooper Bird tried to close the gap, the suspect hit the gas again, but a little too hard, sending the Charger off the road and straight into a tree. Bird jumped out of his patrol car and quickly took the suspect into custody, bringing this wild chase to an abrupt end. While assisting the FBI on April 2nd, 2024, a trooper bird spotted a black pickup speeding going 45 in a 30 mph zone on McCain Boulevard. When the driver left a Walgreens parking lot and refused to stop for the traffic violation, the chase was on and the truck took off at high speed. He's going to take off. Looks good. As the pursuit escalated, trooper Bird and Trooper Vanoik worked in tandem, putting pressure on the suspect from both sides until The driver made a critical mistake that changed everything. [Applause] The suspect, Lynn Toiver, lost a tire while attempting a sharp turn and came to a stop on Greenway Drive. He surrendered immediately without further incident, but not before the runaway tire crashed through a nearby resident's fence. Inside the vehicle, officers found marijuana behind the driver's seat. Toiver now faces charges of felony fleeing, criminal mischief, and speeding. It was September 16th, 2022 when three Dodge Chargers were caught street racing and spotted by none other than Trooper Bird. As soon as he saw them, he activated his lights and sirens. All three took off, but Trooper Bird locked onto the last one and went after it without hesitation. One of the 28s Arkansas Adamary 64 Henry AIM 64H. We got a white one. We're all pulling into the sele. [Music] We are going west on 60. Last on 60. It didn't take long for Trooper Bird to catch up. And once he's behind you, it's game over. [Music] There's a gate at the end of this and he's coming back out of it. I'll just throw my car to the system. [Music] straight up. The suspect learned the hard way who trooper Jacob Bird is. His car was completely wrecked and just one look at the tire said it all. He was arrested and taken into custody without further incident. On January 11th, 2025, Trooper Bird attempted to stop a Nissan for blowing through multiple traffic controlled devices on Interstate 55. But the second Bird hit the lights and sirens, the driver hit the gas, making the biggest mistake of his life. 7 6 7 8 4 It just hit right there. Break down. He's still in the reverse. The suspect made a critical mistake and basically stopped himself. Trooper Bird was furious over the suspect's decision to run instead of just pulling over. And you can hear it in his voice. Put your hands out the window. Stand up. Face away from me. Stand up and show me your hands. Are you the only person inside the car? Yes, sir. Stand up. Face away from me. Face away from me. Face away from me. Put your hands up. Walk back to me. Stop. Stop. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. And unfortunately for him, he just learned the hard way why trooper Jacob Bird is one of the most feared troopers on the road. In this video, you'll see who Jacob Bird really is and why so many look up to him. It was January 16th, 2025 when he stopped a vehicle for driving with a defective headlight. The driver pulled over and Trooper Bird approached the vehicle and gave him the lesson of his life. How's it going, man? What's up? Hey, don't trip bird sake please. Will we roll that window up? Yeah, just so I can hear you easier. You're good, man. Hey, don't trip bird sake please. Reason I stopped because you got a headlight out. Yeah, okay. Okay. All right. Second thing is uh when you were in the far left lane coming up behind me, you jump to the middle lane immediately jump to the right lane. Just you you can't go from the left lane and just smooth across all the way to the next the the far right lane. You can't do that. Maintain the lane you're in. Make sure it's safe to merge merge over to that lane. maintain that lane. Make sure it's safe to merge again and then do it so full and so forth. Does that make sense? You have a driver's license on you. Do it right now. Hey, do me a favor. Just stay back here since you have a driver's license on or an ID on you. I said just step back here and talk to me. No. What's the probable cause? Relax. Okay. Step back cuz you don't have an ID on it. That's all. I'm just going to pat you down. Make sure you have Keep your hands up. You're good. Sit back with you. The trooper placed the driver in his patrol car so he could search the vehicle after noticing a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside. That smell was all the probable cause he needed. baggies. This a road, huh? Bird found bags of illegal substances, a scale, and a firearm inside the vehicle. He then transported the driver to the station and made sure he called his mom. From that point on, you'll see who the real Trooper Bird is and why he's not just a good cop, but a genuinely, really good person. Is this Miss uh Marva? It is. Hey, this is Trooper Bird with Arkansas State Police. How are you? Good news. Uh Khil's Khil's safe. He's not hurt or anything. I just stopped him on a traffic stop and he I've got him. He's arrested. I'm going to be booking him into this uh Classic County Jail down here off Roosevelt. Okay. And I'm going to let him talk to you and let him decide if he wants to tell you that. Okay. Clear? What's going on? I got pulled over some weed. And you supposed to been at at work, right? I'm I was I was trying to get out the egg discovery. No, you supposed to been there. So that means you can relate, right? You do the right thing. That's what you're supposed to. And you wasn't even supposed to have no weed. What is the problem? What is what is going on with you? Nothing. So, you know, you're you're talking there for the weekend. You know, I'm leaving this morning. I'm not going to be there to hold your hand and do any of that. I can't do it cuz obviously this is the life that you've chosen for yourself. I'm highly disappointed in you. After he spoke to his mom, Trooper Bird took the time to give this man the advice of his life. He didn't just let him go. And listen to me, and I'm being serious, okay? I'm 10 years older than you, and whether you take this conversation and change your life, I don't know. I pray you do. I'm a man of faith, and I I believe that the Lord placed me where I was and placed you where you were at this point in time in your life in hopes that I can have a conversation and change your life around. That conversation that I just heard between you and your mom, that is a mother that cares for her kid. You know how many times I've called parents and the parents find out they had that their kid had dope and a gun on them or they were running from us and they had a gun and the parent on speaker has asked the kid why they didn't run on foot and throw the gun away. I'm saying those parent those those parents don't care for their kids. That right there is a mother that cares for you. You know, you might feel disappointed right now and as you should, but as a man, there's a point in time where you're as while you're growing up, your mindset has to flip and change and quit thinking about yourself and thinking about your family. The last thing I'm trying to do is see you go down this path of life while having a family that cares for you and basically just all the way because of the life choices you're making that don't have to be made. And again, man, if this conversation goes in one ear, out the other, that's on you. But at least I can say that this profession I feel called and led to by the Lord, I have tried to make a difference in your life in this moment that I was blessed to be in. After that, you simply can't hate this guy. All we can say is we need more cops like him and more people like him in this world. The driver was identified as Khalil Washington and was charged with a seat belt violation, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper lane change, and defective light. On May 5th, 2023, Trooper Bird was patrolling I30 West when he spotted a white Toyota Camry speeding. After confirming the speed with radar, he followed the vehicle as it exited onto I 630 and finally came to a stop at a red light on Main Street. [Music] Hey, as the light turned green, the driver hit the gas, ignoring Trooper Bird's approach. Without missing a beat, Bird jumped back into his patrol car and the pursuit was on. Say bye. We're back on service road turning right on Broadway. Going north on Broadway. Let know you just got struck by vehicle. Broadway and eight. Long way. Crashed at Taco Bell. Crashed in Chick-fil-A. Crashed at Chick-fil-A. I've got a black mill run. All black clothing. You better show your hands now. You get shot. He went into a parking garage. Stand by. We're coming back out on Broadway. 8th Street 6 going east on six. Show me your hands now. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get your butt on the ground. I'm not playing games with you. After crashing into another vehicle, the suspect's car spun off the road and slammed into the outdoor seating area of a Chick-fil-A. He took off on foot, ignoring commands, but after a short chase, Trooper Bird caught up and placed him in custody. The suspect rire of alcohol and initially denied drinking, only to admit it moments later. Once in the patrol car, things got even more chaotic as he began banging his head on the cage and window. All you got to do is stop, dude. I'll stop you for speeding. Yeah, you were across the river bridge. It's a construction zone. It's 50 mph. It's not 65. Please. What did you just say? No, you're a grown man. I'm not calling you a mama. What did you just say to me? You can call her at the jail, dude. quit hitting your head, dude. Once medically cleared, the suspect was booked into Palaski County Jail and hit with a long list of charges, ranging from felony fleeing and DWI to multiple counts of criminal mischief and drug possession. Just one bad decision led to over 10 serious charges.
