2018 officers responded to a hotel dispute involving a couple after an employee reported a minor altercation despite the woman's denial the officers doubted her claims and began investigating would clarification about any specific aspect of the incident be helpful no no no I did not touch him please please don't put me in jail I that's going to be an extra TR I didn't touch him I didn't touch you doing this to me the officers approached the scene engaging with those present a man in a blue polo shirt identified as the woman's manager arrived indicating he might assist with clarifying matters the officers questioned the man involved who stated that he only wanted to leave but alleged the woman had pushed strangled and hit him to prevent him from doing so when asked the man explained they were not married but shared a child my manager just got here so you may not even really need to be there in the blue polo okay that's your manager yeah my manager in the blue polo all right [Applause] have everything I just got here okay what's going on that's what I'm trying to find out as well is he involved he he just wants to leave I'm just trying to leave have a seat yeah he all right are you marri much it no that's why St here the officers then spoke to the woman who appeared confused and distraught she repeatedly expressed that she did not know why the police were involved she mentioned they had enjoyed a pleasant day at the pool before the man suddenly announced his intention to leave even though their hotel stay was booked until Monday morning the woman visibly emotional insisted there were no weapons in the room and stated she did not want the man to leave hello are you okay no I don't know what's going on I don't know why am I here why did someone call the Poli I know I think you need to leave I don't know what's going on we we came back I honestly I'm so embarrassed I don't know what's going on we came back we came back from the pool and we had a great day and then all of a sudden he just told me he was leaving we're not supposed to check out till Monday morning I don't know what's going on you think he's leaving to to separate I don't man accused the woman of becoming violent after drinking excessively he claimed he had asked her to stop drinking 3 hours earlier but she continued when officers noticed old marks on him he clarified they were unrelated to the incident he emphasized he wanted to take his belongings and leave she seems really intoxicated yeah that's why I'm trying to leave very violent when that happens can you repeatedly insisted she did not touch him and seemed desperate to prevent him from leaving the officers attempted to calm her asking her to sit and take deep breaths but she struggled to collect herself when asked about identification the woman said she did not know where her wallet was claiming the man had it earlier she suggested it might be in her backpack or one of the room's storage areas as the officers tried to locate her ID she pleaded with them not to let the man leave accusing him of being drunk please just don't let him leave he's so dr's not leaving don't I don't know I meanwhile the woman continued insisting on her innocence swearing she did not touch the man the officers informed her she would be arrested for misdemeanor battery based on prob able cause she pleaded with them expressing disbelief and despair and repeatedly asked why she was being detained she mentioned being from Louisiana and needing to return to work on Tuesday adding that her belongings were in the room including her phone purse and suitcase the officers assured her she could take the necessary items to the jail here you go did you witness them fighting excuse me did you witness them less alcohol than the man and Begg to be allowed to leave on her own what about my purse and my phone and everything else whatever you want you why are you arresting me what did I do what we have
