soers W W you in October 2023 a deputy on patrol in Tama Wisconsin noticed an SUV showing signs of potentially impaired driving at as the deputy followed the vehicle he observed it weaving within its Lane and crossing the center line multiple times the deputy then initiated a traffic stop and the driver later identified as 64-year-old Matthew pulled over positioning nearly half of his vehicle within the traffic lane the deputy stepped out of his patrol car approaching the driver's side with caution Hey sir how you doing young man good yourself I'm good the reason I pulled you over is cuz you cross the center line and you're kind of all over the road well what happened was also when that went over the RO we was having a conversation okay no I I get that but it was continuous from when I started following you kind of over by way to across all the way back here you were going from frog line to C line the whole time is there insurance on the vehicle I don't know it's my daughter's vehicle I was taking my friends out tonight just to show them a good time and do you two have IDs as well I do okay do you mind if I get your IDs why I just like to identify everybody I'm with I'll give you my ID along with the offic man cuz the more the less you don't do the more he can do with us no that's I just like to you know check to see if anybody's got warrants or see if they special conditions that's why I like to identify people trying to show my friends a good time because you know I haven't seen him in like 10 years okay that's fair as the deputy continued to talk to Matthew something caught his attention an unmistakable smell of alcohol wafting from inside the SUV Matthew hesitated for a moment but complied struggling slightly as he unbuckled his seat belt all right Matthew could you do me a favor show off the vehicle perfect thank you and then I'll have you step out actually just watch your arm on the seat belt so you don't get caught up lights bothering you anymore yeah that that one right there is okay well I'm just going to keep that one on since you have two people in the car right for my safety I want to be able to I see what I'm doing another safety any goad Matthew seemed to have difficulty keeping his hands clear which raised a red flag for the officer when the deputy asked him if he'd been drinking Matthew admitted to having Just One Beer the all I had I don't know you very well I just met you and the things I'm seeing it's consistent with somebody that's had a little more than one beer so I'm being upfront and honest with you that's all I had was one beer cuz we had something to eat and that was it the deputy wasn't convinced the combination of Matthew's unsteady Behavior and the strong odor of alcohol pointed to something more than just one drink Matthew hesitated for a moment then claiming three beers of alcohol he drank I'm being upfront honest with you so I want you to be up front honest with me and I I will be okay I will be officer cuz I can smell some alcohol on you you're you're driving behavior is a little I mean it's not great but on a scale of 1 to 10 one's sober 10 is is extremely impaired I will say three right trying to assess his State he even asked if he'd be willing to take a field sobriety test to ensure he was fit to drive um are you willing to do standardise field variety test for me to make sure I remove your hat for this test no don't don't do that all right while administering the standardized field sobriety test the deputy overheard the female passenger saying Matthew is really screwed right now fly through this okay all right all right so don't worry about them it's me and you I know but also somebody yelling isn't really inviting to my safety right okay follow my finger using your eyes and your eyes only only keeping your head still no Follow by yeah is there any way to keep your eyes open a little bit more than that just like that keep F I'm fing though but I already know you get turn around back on that line do you understand all those instructions yes okay you may begin three four five six seven you good suddenly Matthew requested to speak with an attorney and refused to take any further tests after learning he would be placed under arrest oh from this moment on officer y I like to talk to my attorney okay sounds good um so you don't want to do the alphabet test from this moment on I like to talk to my attorney okay I am just going to ask one more thing are you willing to provide a bless sample for a preliminary breath test like I said I like to talk to my attorney From This Moment On okay so at this time I'm going to be placing you on ARR for operating wall Under the Influence so turn around put your your back why are you aring for operating well under the influence am I Under the Influence from what I've seen yes whether it be alcohol sir turn around put your on why are you arresting don't make this any hard I just told you no I'm asking you the only reason under arest for operating while under the influence the only reason why you're doing this is because I asked for an attorney no give me your arm arms otherwise you're he argued and was no stranger to resisting law enforcement as the situation escalated the deputies were forced to use more physical Force to restrain him on the you just up my dick impant M con sh put your arm cooperate and even complaining about his injuries eventually he was charged with a host of criminal offenses including his eighth operating while intoxicated offense battery of an officer threats to law enforcement and multiple counts of resisting an officer his bail was set at $7,500 moving to our next case on the evening of March 8th 2023 a police officer was patrolling the streets of Jackson Wisconsin when he spotted a vehicle with a malfunctioning brake light the officer decided to initiate a traffic stop however instead of pulling over the driver steered the vehicle into the parking lot of a Walgreens and parked in a handicapped spot despite the officer's emergency lights being activated the driver a 34-year-old man named Harrison ignored the officer's commands and proceeded to walk into the store hey keep backing your car man hey back your car go get back your car right now as the officer pursued Harrison into the store things took a sharp turn Harrison's demeanor shifted from frustration to aggression shouting at the officer that he had no reason to stop him traffic stop my car was stopped and parked car off I'm going to stop bro Ain no come back here I'm in come back here my per do anything as the officer considered his next move a K9 unit was called in the K9 sniffed the vehicle and immediately alerted them to the presence of drugs when the car was searched the officers found marijuana concealed in a swisser Suites package under the passenger seat despite the evidence Harrison continued to argue he complained that the handcuffs were too tight and hurt his shoulder there's weed in there switch your sweet yeah can you take These Cuffs off they hurt my shoulder yeah I can check them but no you're it's unfortunately when you're arrested you have to be in handcuffs I'm saying why am I arrested and I didn't run from him I told him I'm going in Walgreens to get a Red Bull before it closed how can I get AR when you're in a traffic stop okay one second when you're in a traffic stop you walk away from the car and an officer tells you to stop you have to stop you can't keep I'm talking right now okay don't talk over me cuz this will answer a lot of
