on October 6th 2023 a rollover accident occurred at Sunset following the crash the drivers engaged in a heated argument several witnesses contacted authorities and upon their arrival they found one of the vehicles flipped over what might have caused the drivers to argue right after the crash the first vehicle involved was driven by a couple heading to a veterinarian's office with their pets all right hi everyone in both cars okay um we're in that car we're the ones the one that hit us are you okay yeah okay any significant injuries everybody out of the car yeah okay okay and you guys are both in that car yes okay me my husband and our dogs HB in that car okay uh so I'm the owner of the who was driving my husband ran over the house my f over here that's a house okay I'm going to have you go see over there and I'll come and talk to you okay I just want to make sure you just you and your husband dogs are driving or in the car you were driving or your husband my husband okay and then you're complaining of okay okay the female driver explained they were traveling at about 15 mph when they noticed the second vehicle a Jeep speeding behind them despite trying to pull over safely the Jeep rear ended them causing their vehicle to lose control and flip over the couple and their dogs managed to exit the car unharmed okay uh give me a favor and just tell me what happened um so we're on our way to go to the vet we're literally D just riding down here and I see this Jeep behind us going like 15 M an hour all the way back and I'm like oh my God hun hun pull over and next thing she just Rams into us and we just go lose out of control and anybody in this car trying not to we just went out of control trying not to flip and and then we ended up over there from behind yeah and then she came out all bigant just like what the are you stupid I'm like okay what the hell is going on with this lady you literally just almost killed us like are you crazy okay so y'all were just driving we were driving to a that's okay Saka animal V for uh his little appointment and we were driving right here and uh I I don't really know what happened she must have rear ended me or something cuz I just felt the car get hit and I just kind of try to S off to the side of the road okay do you have um license nobody knows that it was their FA why are they acting crazy I don't know talk to dri she's AC crazy but she said they were just driving and she just came huling but up there and just rended him we get your license registration and proof of insurance okay do might as well however the Jeep driver became aggressive shouting at them and questioning their actions despite causing the crash the Jeep driver's belligerence confused the female driver who considered it Reckless meanwhile while the Jeep driver was being questioned by police yes so go ahead and tell me are you the only occupant of this car yeah I'm the only owner of this vehicle this one here okay can you tell me what happened um I was driving down and I was trying to get into a lane and they were getting into a lane the same time I was getting into the the left lane okay and they were getting into the right lane and so I guess we hit okay I mean that's what I see cuz they have their blinks okay when I get off the vehicle they said no you crashing to me and and I was like okay and who who is I'm the owner of the vehicle okay but I don't know if you know I I will be honest I was I was going a little fast okay probably probably going about maybe like 5 six miles over okay okay and um for that okay um and where are you coming from um I was just rocking my friend off in now or Tacoma and I was coming back down here okay right on First Avenue okay and have you had anything to drink today um no I did smoke probably like well I until like 9 hours ago now 9 hours okay but nothing to drink no no okay uh do you mind if I go in there and turn off your cars you I would that one is that one's not mine this one's her car can I go car okay nothing to drink you said you smoked about 9 hours ago okay can you just do me a favor and get your license I don't know your it's in the car you want to grab it to inspect her car the driver had trouble locating her license but eventually provided her details verbally she also mentioned being involved in a previous accident but denied involvement in the current one despite confirming she was the driver let me just uh at your name verbally okay yeah do do you have a driver's license yeah you do okay what about insurance uh I do not have insurance no impaired her ability to drive she also confirmed she had no prior DUI arrests what do you think the time that the Collision occurred at it was it was early earlier it was I want to say about maybe like 6 7 prob probably if if not earlier then later it's not a little bit like it was it was like sun setting 600 or 700 p.m. yeah okay uh where were you going before being stopped I was heading to my friend Z's house to drop him drop him off so without looking what time do you think it is right now I want to say maybe a little bit before 10: p.m. okay uh and do you know what direction of travel you were going uh what's This Way Northeast Northwest North South North Dakota like okay no which no I really don't okay that's okay oh what time did you start driving um maybe around 450 550 450 around the evening time okay uh and what the date I don't keep track of days anymore I think she died yeah sorry I don't keep track of days okay a lot anyway do you know what month it is it's uh October okay so you want to put like October before the 21st no the 21st okay I know I had to pay my car payment so okay so so that was that's why you're saying so sometime I remember the 10 first okay following her arrest the police began processing her for the DUI charge including collecting breath samples for further Evidence I remember the 17th okay because for my phone bill okay so probably about 2 3 days ago cuz today is about the 21st 22nd okay I think I don't keep up with the days anymore and then um have you been drinking alcoholic beverages today um I drank one shot today okay and then I have not drank one since so and then I ended up here which is is every time I drink I end up so you said just one shot okay and then of of what you drinking teila tequila okay about what time did you start drinking I took one shot at like 7:00 at about 7M p.m. and then who have you been drinking with myself just you yeah I took one shot by myself and then I smoked the rest of my weed at my friend's house okay and then I was trying to drive home because very upset yeah cuz and then I crashed or do you believe your ability to drive was affected by your alcohol or drug usage no and then have you ever been arrested for a DUI before no the case would proceed through the court system and the driver would face legal consequences for her actions on that evening the driver was charged with DUI and cited for the crash her car was towed as it could no longer be driven throughout the process police ensured proper procedures were followed including informing her of her rights
