On August 3rd, 2024, officers conducted a traffic stop on a black BMW after observing the vehicle swerving and making an improper turn. What began as a routine stop quickly escalated into a narcotics investigation when officers spotted suspected marijuana sitting in plain view inside the center console. But as they moved in to search the non-compliant driver, the encounter would take a terrifying turn. Hey, can you roll these back windows down, please? Can't see. He was issued citations for two counts of resisting or obstructing a peace officer, along with multiple traffic violations. His friend, Tevion, managed to escape the scene at a high rate of speed, but was caught a day later. He faced multiple felony charges, including aggravated battery to a police officer and fleeing to elude law enforcement.
