on August 28th 2021 a motorcycle lacking visible tags caught the officer's attention who initiated a traffic stop however after locking eyes with the authorities the driver chose to flee triggering a high-speed Pursuit over 100 mph the dangerous Chase showcased Reckless Behavior as the motorcyclist weaved through traffic and disregarded safety what motivates someone to take such risks in a situation like this during the pursuit officers described the motorcycle as white with a male driver and a female passenger okay okay okay okay okay get off get off get up CH to be on your back yes good thing you didn't kill yourself or anybody else it's a cute tag do you do it out of fun or just cuz you ride like an [ __ ] you're going to kill somebody he's lucky he didn't kill himself anything else on you I'm missing go ahead go go ahead thank you guys anything else I'm missing on you the driver showed Reckless Behavior weaving through traffic and running red lights officers briefly lost sight but coordinated with nearby units to capture the to the suspect upon stopping the motorcycle officers detained the driver and the passenger the driver was instructed to lie on the ground and was handcuffed see you're underr for fleing alluding reckless driving all right yes sir good catch sge that's what I'm talking about good that was a good he was rev he was looking to go yeah he was turn it off yeah I yanked him off of him that was a good catch stge holy [ __ ] he could have killed himself he could have killed his passenger it's your boyfriend it's my Tinder date your Tinder date it's your Tinder date going to look good when you end up in a morg from your Tinder date cuz he's driving 130 running Hey listen I understand that that's your Tinder date but you were just involved in something very serious so you're going to go in the back of this cop car for a little bit okay you have anything on you at all no just tell us now if you have something okay I don't have anything all sht what's up buddy what's up man good job sorry also P his hands down officers remarked on the driver's dangerous actions warning him of the potentially fatal consequences of his reckless driving they searched for him ensuring there were no hidden weapons or items the driver admitted to fleeing acknowledging his mistake and asking to use his phone to inform his father do you have anything on you no I don't have anything no weapons no nothing no it's just my phone my credit card not my credit card my debit card in my life's I have it's in his bag it's in his bag okay I'm just going to lift your shirt up just to make sure that you don't have anything on you okay turn this way nothing in your bra or anything no you can you can lift it up if you want ma'am here's the deal calm down okay who is this guy to you I literally just met him like two days ago or a day ago all right were you telling him to stop or anything it's okay all right here's here's the um she was just on the back detain you right now in the back of the car just so that we can figure out what's going on I know you're probably really scared right now okay just just trying to take a couple deep breaths and calm down are you injured at all you're not injured at all okay so do you need the fire fire department to come at all the passenger visibly shaken explained she had only met the driver 2 days earlier through a dating app she stated that she had repeatedly told him to stop during the chase fearing for her life officers released her from handcuffs but detained her temporarily for questioning do me a Vape so you can calm down okay I was right behind it uh I came up to a Chestnut and I was coming up behind it he looked at me and took off right through the red light and I'm like here we go hey I I took her out of cup officers retrieved her Vape to help helped calm her down and reassured her of her safety though they emphasized the severity of the situation the passenger shared that she and the driver had spent the day together at a beach enjoying drinks and conversation she believed the outing was going well until the reckless driving began she admitted to noticing the bent license plate on the motorcycle but was unaware that it indicated an intent to evade police yeah no she's I can tell her she just met this guy on Tinder two days ago and she's literally like raking the hell out so I was like just sit back here just relax she she was I guess she told me that she's like yelling at him to stop stop stop she talk going to die she was going to die he was driving like an absolute Maniac not going to give you any life advice or anything but I would probably say get rid of this guy cuz this isn't the first time he's done this start from the beginning is what happened in your perspective um I swiped right on Tinder we talked how long that was you said you said a couple days ago technically like two days yesterday and today technically two days what did you guys go do today we went to Clear Water Beach like where at Clear Water Beach what you do got drinks we sat on the edge had like a genuine like time and everything like that and I thought it was going wonderful what are you saying as he's going through traffic at 100 mph leaving in out of car anxiety attack so you're just freaking out at the time did you say anything to him or like I'm just chill like slow down what did he say he didn't say nothing to you the whole time he didn't say we're going to get away he didn't say nothing do you know him to be somebody that commits a lot of crimes or anything like that you just hard yeah and he didn't say anything to you at all that he was wanted or he anything is he wanted I don't know is he no I don't think so I hope hope not the officers advised her to avoid associating with individuals who engage in such dangerous activities the driver admitted to accelerating to flee from officers and acknowledged his foolish Behavior did you notice that his this tag on his motorcycle was bent like that yes just to let you in on a secret for us if you see a tag like that it means they run from the cops okay so that was the original reason why we stopped him and then he ran the red light and then he took off cuz he does this all the time on contr so that's just a little information for you if you see a tag like that is not a good right cuz you're going to get yourself in a position like this all right Taylor so you know what what happened uh I was driving like a jackass and got pulled over so did you you you saw us there back on on North Myrtle what did what did you do at North Myrtle was that accelerator well first like you know you were pulling up to that light how did you run in the beginning is what I want to know like what what what what made you think I should run I don't know dudey do you usually do this over in Tampa or I mean it doesn't get held against you I'm just asking furiously no not really man hanging out with a girl I don't know trying to show off or something yeah so you I know what I did was stupid have you ever been arrested for playing before have you seen the videos of clear water cops catching motorcycles fleeing all the time no do you remember running the red light I trust not not going to say cuz I don't know what street is what I don't know the area initial one where you saw this blue car behind you and off yeah when questioned about running a specific red light he also claimed to be unfamiliar with the area officers informed the driver that he would face charges including fleeing and eluding reckless driving and other violations you look back at us and I think that's when I click that but appreciate your cooperation But ultimately you fled from the cops you got caught oh man I know what I did I'm not I'm not trying to justify all I asked was um I asked the other officer he down get me an answer if I'm going to jail if I could just use my phone to call my dad so you know he doesn't go to sleep when if you get to the jail that you can get phone numbers out of your phone and then call so so he'd still be awake I to and just to get some more information on her how do you know her uh met her through a dating app okay and how long have you guys known other the first time H what was she what was she saying to you the whole time when this was going on like I could okay she feel like she was
