No, >> I'm assuming he doesn't have a driver's license either, does he? >> I I bought four months. >> Is this Williams number? >> My number. >> I would go and merge ever since. >> All right. Since you're in here and you're not free to go and what we found so far, I got to read you your rights. Have you ever had the right to proceedings? You have the right to have a lawyer for advice before we ask any questions and have them present during question. Can I afford an attorney? One be appointed for you free of cost before any questions if you you understand those rights. You aren't. >> I guess that's true. My bad. >> Go ahead. >> We'll bring you to the PD when we're done and somebody else second for transport. Um all right, ma'am. Uh so here's what's happening. You're detained for the warrant. You're also detained for the cannabis. Um and then for the pills, okay? So all that stuff's on you and you can consider yourself under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia. Okay. Um I would like some honesty. Give me some honesty. I have discretion in some areas. Um, you are going to jail tonight. That is nothing nothing is going to prevent that from right now. Um, what pill? What are these pills? >> Gabent. >> Gabent. Both of them. There's two different ones. There's a white and blue one and then a yellow and orange one. >> I should I don't know what the white and blue one is. >> I don't I shouldn't have any other pills in there. >> Okay. >> Oh, yes. I know exactly what they are. >> Aderal. Okay. And you know Adderall is a controlled substance, correct? Well, we got to search you first because most of the time when people want to go to the bathroom, it's an indication that they probably have something on them. So, which ones are which? These are the aderall. >> The white and blue would be >> aderall. Okay. >> And then the yellow and orange or >> Okay. So, I'll have to double check that. >> All right. I got to get a picture of you. Okay. >> So, do you have a prescription for aal? >> No, I do not. >> Um, if one of you guys want to head out here to relieve Mr. Brown, that's fine. Otherwise, we're going to bring her to the PD and then somebody will transport Sweet. Thank you. What? >> It's really insignificant. >> Okay. I'm Well, I don't want to charge you with some if it's not yours. But if you're not going to cooperate, then I have to go with the simple fact of the matter is it was in your purse, therefore it's yours. I'm going to count how much money you have on you. So that way it's documented both in front of you and on body camera. Okay. 100 200 300 400 500 600 650 70 90 710 730 750 770 790 810 805 or 815 I'm sorry if you can put it on gift card that probably I don't know if the deal will let or take that >> put this on a gift card how did you Okay. >> So, this you can >> Yeah, I think can this at least go in that? >> Yeah. >> Is that okay? >> All right. So, the rest I can return. >> Can you check these pills for me? Just make sure they're gaping. >> Yeah. >> What? >> Oh, I don't even have my enzymes with me. >> Why did you guys come all the way to Washington? >> I don't know why you want to come to Washington. I have to go to Georgia. >> Where do you guys live out of? I live in Louisville. >> He lives in >> and where did you where were you guys before this poria? >> I have taken to University Street in Poria >> the Walmart there. >> No, I had he goes I go there. Uh yeah 2666 injured. rescue. >> Well, he paid for that and he left it. >> Yeah, >> that's not the smartest thing. All right. Um, so >> how do you >> The gaba penton is it yours? >> Okay. Um, you don't have your phone on you. They can't provide proof that it's yours. So, what I will do is I will put it in our evidence, but it will be returned to you [clears throat] as long as you come in the police department and show that you have a description. That's true. Yep. Fair enough. Man, what's going on over here? >> So, she was with the dude that stole. The dude took off and left her. I stopped her. She gave me consent to look in her bag. Um, found weed. So, then at that point, she was detained. Found drug parah has c like crystal flakes in there. Um, and then, uh, she had pills in in it. Uh, amphetamine pills. So, uh, they're trespassing her and all that. I took this for him so he didn't have to stay. Yeah. So, I'll just grab her and put her in my car. >> Yeah, that works out. I'll give Wise a ride back. He might. The offender might come back, man, to get her. Are you guys going to come here and take care of this? >> He said they would get a warranty. He's like, "We have a warrant, so it it just takes a couple days." I'll be curious if he comes back like thinking we left and he comes back for her. What if she had retail position? We didn't uh no retail theft. She didn't steal. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I just asked her to come uh come with me to the AP office and she will be good. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I would just ask about that warrant. Just I take her and say, "All right, we're good to go. >> I'm off." >> Yep. >> It's easier for me to take it. That way you don't have to stay over. >> Yeah. After completing their investigation, officers determined that the woman was not accused of participating in the suspected Walmart barcode switching theft. Instead, she was taken into custody on unrelated matters after officers confirmed an outstanding warrant and discovered suspected cannabis, drug paraphernalia, and prescription medication requiring further investigation. She was also issued a trespass notice prohibiting her from entering Walmart. Based on the conduct documented in this body camera footage, the following charges could apply. Possession of drug paraphernalia. Unlawful possession of a controlled substance, if applicable, possession of cannabis. An outstanding warrant was also confirmed during the investigation and served as one of the grounds for taking her into custody. Potential charges are presented forformational purposes only and may differ from the final charges filed or the ultimate outcome of the case. All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
