[music] >> May 17th, 2025, Germantown, Wisconsin. Police were dispatched to a reported retail theft at Walmart. Walmart loss prevention reported that a female had been detained. Officers were also advised that additional individuals may have been involved and had already left the area in a white van displaying Feeding America. Surveillance video showed two male subjects placing fishing-related items and other merchandise in their shopping carts and a tackle bag. One of the males later completed a purchase at a register, paid in cash, and exited the store. Exterior surveillance showed the purchased items being placed into a white van. A receipt from that transaction was handed to a female, who then exited the van and reentered the store holding a receipt. Inside the store, the female was observed meeting with the second male, taking possession of a cart containing merchandise identical to the earlier man's purchases, selecting additional grocery items, and walking past all points of sale without paying. The female showed the previously obtained receipt to a store associate near the exit before being stopped by loss prevention staff. Loss prevention escorted the female to the security office. During that time, the white van left the property. >> What do we got, man? >> I don't know. After transport, officers located a metal pipe in the rear of the squad vehicle. >> Okay. >> Review of the in-car video showed the female removing the item from her clothing during transport and attempted to conceal it inside the vehicle. Tarnisha entered guilty pleas to retail theft, intentionally taking merchandise valued at $500 or less as a party to a crime, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony bail jumping. The court imposed a 90-day county jail sentence for the retail theft charge and a concurrent 30-day jail sentence for the drug paraphernalia charge. The court deemed the jail time served and allowed Huber privileges. Sentence was withheld on the felony bail jumping charge and Tarnisha was placed on 3 years of probation.
